The House of Representatives has voted to advance President Donald Trump’s $3.3 trillion “big, beautiful bill” to its final phase in Congress. After a long night of debate and amendment votes, the House is set to deliver the final vote this morning.
After it appeared to be derailed late Wednesday by hard-right holdouts, Republicans advanced the bill around 3:30 a.m. and are set to vote on final passage. During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open for almost six hours as they worked to flip 12 votes. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) was the lone Republican to vote “no” at the end.
.

Can you imagine the kompromat Ukrainians have on homosexual Brian Fitzpatrick?
Fitzpatrick reminds me of Kitzinger. I hope MAGA has someone to primary him.
Mark Houck, the minister who faced felony imprisonment for praying and then defending his son outside an abortion site, entered the primary in 2024. Am nowhere near that district so cannot really gauge what happened, but it appeared to me, that he had so little experience and conception about how to run, his campaign failed.
For example, sent a contribution, but never got a request for another contribution or acknowledgement. Do not blame him, for he entered the battle – did not complain on the sidelines, which far too many seem content to do.
Would endorse him entering a second time, but he would need some political folks who can help.
This Gopher FB fan thanks you HDB for the backstory. Houck seems like our kind of candidate. However, there are political combat tactics that a novice has no chance against.
It’s a certainty, you do not have to hope … just send money to his opponent.
Sadly, I don’t think it matters in today’s climate of moral degradation and decay.
Compromising information of homosexual behavior, unless it’s pedophilia, isn’t going to sway anyone.
Sec. Bessent is a homosexual, so is Ric Grennell. They are both effective and efficient in their roles.
Homosexual moral turpitude is not a crime. But I do look at the entire personal reputation.
God is the ultimate judge of our lives and actions.
God being the judge means they are done like dinner. Excusing “moral turpitude” is the strangest way I have ever heard one endorse sexual perversion and sodomy.
I don’t endorse it. Homosexuality is a socially destructive and degrading behavior. I have no use for those who deny their created purpose, to live as a man or a woman
This response was addressed toward whether compromising info pointing toward homosexuality would make a person cower in fear of being exposed in the current immorality of the culture at large.
As we have been witnessing, no it would not.
As to round condemnation of the homosexual act as opposed to heteronormative behavior, it is a perversion.
Mr. Grennell and Sec. Bessent, I will include WWII code breaker Alan Turing, are more than their homosexuality. God will justly pass His perfect judgement.
You do know that those are just two sins of many?
Do you excuse other sins and just condemn these?
Have you ever supported any sinner?
Agreed. He is condemning the sin of homosexuality while ignoring a multitude of other sins.
Adultery occurs more often than homosexuality.
Pedophiles are openly advocating for their “attraction to minors”.
Forcibly trafficking women and children seems like a Big Sin to me.
Pornography watching is off the charts now.
Those are just a few sins of the flesh.
Let’s not forget the sin of LOVING money. That’s the root of all evil.
I agree with you, but I don’t think any of us will ever know what God will ultimately do about them. Don’t forget that even the Bible was written and edited by the early Church. God may use even Biblical sinners to advance His plans for all of us. I believe in God, but I don’t think any humans are privy to God’s plans until at least after we die. God may see our planet more as an experimental garden. For all I actually know we are just the precursor to what we will eventually be.
This is only my opinion. Since religions are involved with trying to understand our lives and our roll as part of this world, I am just as likely as anyone to be surprised by what I discover if I get to meet the God of our creation. Therefore, I am not trying to be critical of anyone.
God has left us a blueprint for our lives. It’s called the Bible. If we adhere to its teachings, God will welcome us home when we die.
I agree Lorraine. The judges have caused so much decay of our society. Our congress and senate are bought & paid for with little to no representation for the taxpayer. Government bandits on the left, joker judges on the right and I am stuck in the middle paying taxes…bill
Brian Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzbrian. (rimshot)
I am very impressed with Trump’s talent for receiving what he needs from Congress – he played them like a fiddle. Kudos to Johnson as well.
Trump had to do some serious horse trading to get there. Yes, the deficit will increase – for the moment.
Once Trump’s requirements are granted, real immigration reform, the linchpin of his agenda, is inevitable.
I was very disappointed when he struck Iran, until I realized he was actually putting Nuttyyahoo in his place. Touché!
We are living in transformational times, and I am so glad I lived long enough to see it for myself.
Fitzpatrick represents Lower Bucks County, PA. Just outside N.E. Philly. A very Democrat demographic.
I am aware of public sector union leaders that have a direct line to his phone. He does whatever they ask.
He’s a Democrat that masquerades around as a Republican.
In other words, a RINO fraud.
The way you describe it, it sounds like he’s working for the folks who voted him in. I wish more politicians did that.
Why does his party label matter if he’s actually doing HIS JOB?
having the wrong party label
means he is a LIAR
NOT WORTHY OF OFFICE
honesty must not matter to you
Fitzpatrick is definitely not working for the fools that continue to elect him there. If you have ever been to Lower Bucks County lately, you would understand this.
Any more than Madeline Dean does anything meaningful for the dim bulbs in the next District that sent her there.
These two are institutional parasites. They go there to fatten their personal portfolios.
Love to see Dom get him on his show today
You mispelled MOSSAD.
Hakeem Jeffries just said, “I’m here to take my sweet time.”
Dollar Store Obama must think he is Spartacus Booker.
More like Temu Obama.
Obama’s library will be empty , just like him
But the library’s handicapped stall will be a beehive of activity.
The ugly monolithic structure has to be completed first…9 years and counting.
Watch how fast President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Library is built.
From the feed, it looks like he still has half of his notebook still to go.
Hope he realizes no one is paying the least attention to him except his ‘forced to’ be there Dem peers and they aren’t really listening either.
Not even the bobblehead Democrats sitting behind ‘lil Spartacus are paying attention.
They are struggling to stay awake.
And they all switch off sitting behind Temu Obama. 😆
I left my house over 2 hours ago, and this dimwit was standing there spewing lies..I get back home and he’s still speaking. Omg!
Jeffries in a tweet from 12/23/21…
“The filibuster is a Jim Crow era relic that has been used to stop progress for decades.
Enough.”
Except when he uses it for hos purposes.
God’s Divine Boomerang is still in effect…
{ JD Vance: Hakeem Just Flipped a GOP Vote—for Trump… }
So true, Amara Grace. Jeffries, so proud of his ill fated, empty bloviating, won’t see it that way of course.
God’s mysterious ways are a wonder to behold.
Message to Hakeem Windbag: Keep lying;
lying is your LIFE and this is your apex lying snake moment.
Every word is going to look awfully silly as USA citizens celebrate the ACTUAL beneficial EFFECTS
of the BBB which will soon be evident,
And voters just might reflect on what we just avoided- if previous tax cuts
had lapsed. And reflect on this : Truth is SO much better than Lies.
But the people seated behind him keep changing.
Bathroom breaks?
Props.
Anything is better than what he started out with this morning. Two demon females with horrid resting bit@h faces.
HJ is driving up the stock market the longer he takes… Trump actually benefits more by this guys lame duck wind bagging, lol… he’s literally helping markets climb higher and higher!!! lol… the losers are making Trump a greater winner!
1st John 4:10
Hey, Hak, and you are nothing but a hak, the actual assault on Medicaid and Medicare has been you demorats stealing and giving it to illegals.
Not to mention USAID 90% of the money were for dem causes which just went into their pockets and their shock troops, nothing but stealing from Americans.
In so many ways, I for one of many, am so proud of our NATION and our COUNTRY; however, the grotesque irony of this BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, playing out, as we speak and write, in front of our collective eyes, is so obviously DISGUSTING and so EMBARRASSING … but, so few of us LEGAL AMERICANS seem to appreciate this moment and what we are doing to ourselves [read: slowly but inexorably committing national suicide].
Tomorrow, of course, is the celebration day for our National Charter Document, that is, our Unanimous Declaration of 4 July 1776; wherein, in particular, we find our American Covenant — that is, our National Social Contract — defined; wheresas at the heart of this contract is that one of the truths that define this covenant is that we hold that the SOLE PURPOSE of GOVT — at any and all levels, as provided by the consent of the governed — is to protect fairly and equally our Certain Unalienable Rights … and NOTHING MORE.
YET — and this is the DISGUSTING and EMBARRASSING part — the VAST MAJORITY of this BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL is dedicated to COMPULSORY STATE-DIRECTED SOCIAL ENGINEERING.
IOW: contrary to what is stated specifically in our Unanimous Declaration [read: contrary to our solemn covenant] We The People, having given to our elected reps our collective blessings, ARE LIVING A LIE … of which, ultimately, no good will result.
Do we as a NATION still hold any reasonable chance for hope for the all-around blessings of liberty? [Does that emblematic Star Spangled Banner Yet Wave and yet mean something real?]
Are We The People never going to learn that if we want a NATION as intended and defined originally by our Founders, we need to STOP VOTING INTO OFFICE these many SOCIOPATHIC JUDASES — sociopaths because, by definition, they hold not a ounce of EMPATHY for the citizens — who, at the drop of a hat, for demonstrably self-serving reasons, they are willing to enact COMPULSORY ANTI-AMERICAN SOCIAL ENGINEERING PROJECTS … and by our collective ambivalence, we let it all happen.
And, here’s the kicker [about which, I am confident, many here are aware]: the VAST MAJORITY of COMPULSORY SPENDING in this bill are for matters that are NOT to be acted on by our Fed GOVT; where, clearly, in our 10th Amendment, and elsewhere, our social contract includes the very clear notion that … for all matters not enumerated specifically in our Fed Constitution, they are RESERVED TO THE STATES AND THE PEOPLE.
[Just writing these obvious observations regarding the many egregious violations of how we are to govern ourselves — at both the State and Fed levels — makes me cringe and gives my stomach a pain.]
To repeat: our GOVT at all levels is not there for SOCIAL ENGINEERING — it is NOT there to fundamentally transform our NATION — rather, it is there, and, there ONLY to fairly and equally protect the Certain Unalienable Rights of We the People … so says our Unanimous Declaration of 4 July 1776.
The only remaining question of importance, in view of the above, is now whether, before we do ultimately collapse, will we the people, in a good solid majority, wake up to our American Covenant — specifically, our stated Patriotic Duties — and make efforts to return our nation to what our Founders intended and designed originally?
Unfortunately that ship has long left port. The federal govt has played an increasing role in social engineering almost from its inception. This is not new but what’s new is the dem party has gone so radically left since the Obama terms. That’s why we are as divided as we have ever been and compromise between the left and right side of the aisle has disappeared. With Pres. Trump the Dems have lost their minds completely and now actively work AGAINST the American people and the Constitution. This is why the social engineering has been increased and magnified imo.
America is not done or ultimately collapsing in my world. There are plenty of us out here working to make sure it doesn’t. The battle is continuing and there is no giving up on winning it for our people and country. It’s our job to put forth what it takes for the future generations to understand what’s at stake and that they must continue to be watchful and protective of our freedoms.
The media wants you to think all is lost, that the majority is with the radical left and that no one loves this country anymore. They are totally wrong and don’t believe them.
The split from Obama to Hillary is becoming quite clear. They had a severe split from Bernie in 2015 and can’t put the Democratic party back together. Their shared hatred for Trump is not enough to unify them. They are forever divided and scattered.
do not forge democratic socialist/bolshev*k ..sanders…he is ready to be broker for those 2 camps ..of course for $$$$$$$$$
Yes, Bernie $ander$ will do anything for a buck.
DOGE found out that Obama gave him $44M of our tax dollars to drop out of the 2016 race.
Remember that?
He was leading Hillary Clinton and overnight, Obama paid off Bernie, he screwed his supporters, and put his support behind Clinton.
Truth – thank you.
Now there is concrete proof voter fraud was rampant, who says they were truly voted for but rather “chosen”.
Another person that has nothing to say when the democrats are pushing through a bill – and receiving many republican votes.
And then when the first president since Reagan (and better than!) that gives a dang about America, and has proven it over and over, the anti-Americans crawl out of the woodwork to condemn a bill he is trying to push through. President Trump’s goal is to Make America Great, not serve your base interest. It cannot be changed/fixed overnight. The president understands what so may of you do not, growth is the only way to get us out of the current situation. Just cutting spending would simply kill the economy without paying off the debt.
G-R-O-W-T-H
That’s it. Pass the bill. Give the president the tools he needs to grow the economy.
Yes.
The dem minority speaker is given a courtesy “minute” at the end of the “one hour” debate. This means they may speak as long as they like. He started at about 4:30 am EDT, and it is now past 9:30 am.
I am wondering if he is trying to delay things until late into the day, just to be a prick to people who had plans?
Yup.
Thank you WB. I am thinking that after this they might want to revise the “minute “ to not exceed 30 minutes. Seriously.
This proves that his owners are desperate to throw any kind of wrench into the proceedings.
This is a Toddler Tantrum level of behavior. But a toddler has more brains than Jeffries.
Its like the condemned man about to feel the noose around his neck, desperately trying to delay the inevitable.
The Democrats want to go home too.
The “courtesy minute” seems to be being used as a House version of the filibuster – without its governing rules.
Maybe Johnson will get tired of Hakeem and reign that “courtesy minute” in….and have the Sergeant at Arms haul Hakeem out when he goes full nuclear tantrum.
“just to be a prick” Period!
The socialist parishioner ladies are falling asleep.
Medicaid for all woke them up.
MAGA works to restore America while the Democrats offer nothing but obstructionism, Marxism and lies!
The president of Russia is a capitalist but the Democrats want to turn New York city into a communist commune!
Get the BBB to President Trump’s desk!
Geez, is anyone watching Hakeem Jeffries spew his bile?
No
No one in their right mind would want to do that.
I guess nobody on the Dem side wants to go home for 4th July holiday.
All of thr treepers here that pray, maybe we should start praying for this turkey to end this filibuster soon.
What the blue blazes happened to the rules and where is Speaker Johnson. I guess it is like everything else, make a rule or law but let’s not enforce it.
Waiting on Nancy to tell to stop, enough is enough. People want to go home.
If Nancy is still their leader, it shows one how pathetic their party is.
See the comment by WB slightly up thread (on p.2)…WB explains the rule allowing Jeffries to essentially filibuster.
I do not know all the House and Senate rules so I have tried not to pass judgement on anyone in leadership.
Right!
In spite of an extra 4 day weekend…why would they want to go home for the 4th? IMHO, to them, its “just another day”…like Christmas or Easter.
Considering they put cheese on raw hamburger patties and cook burgers in white dresses, its probably best they don’t.
They already celebrated Independence Day on 6/19.
I’m not in love with the bill, the Senate allowed several vital provisions to be stripped out but, we have to have the tax cuts and border spending. With the country doing so well, I am expecting to pick up House and Senate seats in 2026 then we can implement more of the MAGA legislation to reduce spending and deport all the illegals and I mean every single person in the country illegally no matter how long they have been here and how they got here, ALL of them.
That’s what this is about… when this passes you can call your Vegas bookie and start placing bets that the GOP majorities will both increase.
The Walk Aways from the Dems are huge.
Not sure that is true. The more the Republicans continue to show their colors as Democrats on the right side, versus the left side, many of us who are independent won’t waste our time, money or votes on these clowns or on Republicans. I’d write in my vote before I’d vote for 99% of these clowns.
Re Immigration and the BBB:
This bill contains massive funding for mass deportation and also completely funds the completion of The Wall to 100% seal the southern border. Also the bill ends illegals on Medicaid.
The cuts don’t begin to happen until the Recission Bills is put forth. That is estimated to have $9.4 billion in cuts of SPENDING.
This does not include all of the revenue that TARIFFS are bringing in.
Nor does it include all of the extra $$$$ Americans will have in their pockets. Which means that they will spend MORE MONEY and therefore, MORE BUSINESSES will open up and pay taxes.
They are also raising fees to foreigners who want to come into this country. More REVENUE.
There are two sides: Government spending and revenue brought in.
Bessent is fabulous. His calm, stable, unflappable approach is refreshing. He consistently comes across as trustworthy and credible. Such a great choice.
Very similar to his predecessor Steve Mnuchin. I wonder…….. Mnuchin for Fed Chairman 🤔
there will not be ..Fed… soon…GW
No!
This is worth the 30 minutes as we await Hakeem’s expiration. Its clear, listening to this, why the BBB is the doomsday legislation for the Dims. No wonder the Dims are so desperate.
Stephen Miller for President 2028!!!
That would be fantastic!
speaking of things being stripped out, does anyone know if the provision to allow suppressors and other gear without a tax stamp (aka ATF/DOJ illegal tracking) still in it?
that, IMO, is literally more valuable than all the dollars we are about to print.
The $200 tax stamp fee removal is still in the bill. So that’s good. But the registration is still in, because the parliamentarian wouldn’t allow that language to be in there.
the registration is the whole thing and the point of the “tax”, so, meh.
thanks for letting me know though.
Eliminating the $200 stamp is no longer in the bill.
Here is the text:
SEC. 70436. Reduction of Transfer and Manufacturing Taxes for Certain Devices
(a) Transfer Tax
Section 5811(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended to read as follows:
(a) Rate.—There shall be levied, collected, and paid on firearms transferred a tax at the rate of—
(1) $200 for each firearm transferred in the case of a machinegun or a destructive device, and
(2) $0 for any firearm transferred which is not described in paragraph (1).
(b) Making Tax
Section 5821(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended to read as follows:
(a) Rate.—There shall be levied, collected, and paid upon the making of a firearm a tax at the rate of—
(1) $200 for each firearm made in the case of a machinegun or a destructive device, and
(2) $0 for any firearm made which is not described in paragraph (1).
(c) Conforming Amendment
Section 4182(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following:
“For purposes of the preceding sentence, any firearm described in section 5811(a)(2) shall be deemed to be a firearm on which the tax provided by section 5811 has been paid.”
(d) Effective Date
The amendments made by this section shall apply to calendar quarters beginning more than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.
note: I often copy/paste this stuff into chatgpt and have it summarize it.
It says: This section changes the taxes under the National Firearms Act (NFA), which regulates certain firearms such as machine guns, short-barreled rifles/shotguns, and suppressors.
Amen and double amen to that – GET THEM OUTTA HERE. I want my country back.
President Trump and Leavitt have consistently said that this bill removes taxes on SS, but I am seeing conflicting reports of that. Which one is it?
The Parliamentarian disallowed removing taxes on Social Security.
But the Senate got creative and designed a way to workaround the Parliamentarian’s ban.
The Senate put in an extra large tax deduction for seniors. So in the end it is meant to give seniors the same tax break financially as if Social Security were not taxed. Just a way to work around the Parliamentarian obstructionist. Meant to have the same dollar impact/benefit.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
And this is one useless position that should be eliminated…Is thune up for it?
After the BBB passes, Thune must terminate the current Parliamentarian and replace her with an America first person.
Wrong. The increased standard deduction is not enough to offset taxes on Social Security for a large number of recipients. For my wife and me, even with the increased deduction, we will still pay around $8K per year on our SS benefits.
Also, there are retirees under 65 that have elected to take benefits after age 62. They will receive no benefit from the increased standard deduction since it is limited to those over 65.
Doesn’t sound like “no taxes on Social Security” to me. The Administration just needs to be honest about this.
WOW! How much do you two take in benefits each month
The administration is being honest. The problem lies in the senate and they are trying to work around it, effectively.
Agree.
Folks perpetually confuse tax credits and deductions. This should have been a direct tax credit to all recipients of SS. Not only does this deduction exclude pre-65 retirees, but it includes those at or over 65 who aren’t yet drawing SS.
This exemption is nothing more than an “over 65” deduction, which might impact taxes $600 or so for most.
Not true, the last I saw was there is a $4000 deduction off Social Security taxes for those in some of the lower income brackets. It is a far cry from what was promised.
I don’t really know but since it would really help seniors on a fixed income I would say no removal.
It gives people 65+ an additional $6k personal deduction as compared to everybody else. However, the deduction is phased out (made smaller) for income over 75k single, 150k married. Also, it is a temporary measure (forget how many years).
So it does give a tax break for many on SS, but not exactly. It does not help those under 65, or those people on SS already exempt from fed taxes (close to 1/2).
WB, thanks for the added details. The Senate had been going back and forth with the Parliamentarian on this issue and some others trying this or that approach to get her to approve. Apparently in the end this was the best they could do to get a yes out of the Parliamentarian.
Still, as much as people have been bashing the Senate, they didn’t cave to the Parliamentarian. They put a real effort into exploring and proposing alternatives until she herself caved on some matters and gave wiggle room in others. Kudos to them. They showed more moxie than I remember under McConnell.
That said, I’m disappointed that neither Thune nor Vance had the backbone to remove or overrule the Democrat appointed Parliamentarian. (Vance showing weak sauce for 2028 imo)
Send her to the alligators.
Do you know if its $6K for single and 12K for married?
yes, 6k per person, so joint gets a 12k deduction off their taxable income.
I think the $6000 version was changed to $4000 in the SEnate passed version. I could be wrong.
this is the version that passed:

Trump is speaking to Putin at 10:00.
I wonder if this is a good day to sell Palantir.
He’ll be talking until his voice gives out.
Did DOGE happen to report on this type of waste?
Nope, DOGE has yet to audit the Fed, CIA, and NASA… quadrillions of waste
Of course those have not been DOGE’d.
What were the results of the DOGE on DOD?
The more Dollar Store Obama talks, the more the holdouts move to a firm yes vote.
Keep talking, Hakeem!
Gagggggg🤮
Wondering if those in chamber can listen to music with earphones.
I think the chamber is empty except for a few people around the mini-ONE.
Trump likes this guy taking his sweet time honestly… the stock market climbs higher and higher the longer this guy drags on… he is actually helping Trump!!! lol
1st John 4:10
As much as I like Trump it is hard to get one’s mind around increasing the debt by 5 trillion. Expected revenue is not cutting expenses.
And whenever there is a revenue increase there is NEVER a paydown of the debt. It’s always “hey we’re flush, lets cut everyone a $5k check. Don’t worry, our kids and grandkids will be keeping so much more of their money that they won’t mind us maxing our that credit card we took out in their names.”
But, hey, it’s our turn in the sandbox, right? It’s perfectly OK as long as it’s our guy doing it.
I am coming up on 80 revolutions around the Sun. In all of that time I have never seen a large bill out of Congress that did what it was advertised to do. In the end any provision that purported to help common people or enhance freedom is modified and/or ignored or the benefits skimmed off by the oligarchs. All of them wound up subtracting freedom from the individual.
What we can be sure of is more trillions added to the National Debt. Another thing you can count on is somewhere in this bill are billions of dollars to rebuild Israel’s damaged sites that were hit by Iranian missiles in a war they started. It may not be labeled that way but it is in there. Our own crumbling infrastructure be damned.
Now many have said this time is different. I hope they are correct. History suggests otherwise but we shall see.
You must look at the net effect of this bill. Calculate in how much tariff revenues will offset debt levels or increases.
the spending isn’t there for any of us (voters). The spending is there to take care of the people that help make these elected officials rich (and their families and political allies). Remember, (19) GOP senators voted in favor of Biden’s Green New Deal that was a trillion dollar plus spending orgy (on mostly leftist stuff too).
People say the GOP is the lesser of two evils. Trump continues to expose more and more of how corrupt our government really is just by doing his job and not backing down. He’s being very pragmatic with this BBB effort. My hope is he drops the hammer very soon on the GOP. There are many ways he could do it too.
This bill is President Trump’s bill –85% of the MAGA agenda.
Here is some of what is in it:
Immigration –
–Illegals off of Medicad
— Completes Border Wall to seal the southern border
— Massive Funding to pay for Mass Deportations
— -imposes fees on illegals in the court system
Energy
–Phases out subsidies for green energy –wind, solar, electric vehicles
—Boosts domestic gas and oil development (mandated lease sales) and tax credit for coal
Defunds Planned Parenthood
Medicaid — no more coverage for transgender transition medicine/surgery –and as said above –no more coverage for illegals —also institutes work or volunteer requirements of 20 hrs per week for able-bodied adults
Taxes –
– the 2017 cuts which ran thru 2025 were made permanent
–seniors will receive an extra $6000 tax deduction (Parliamentarian would not approve no taxes on Soc Sec so this was the Senate workaround that got her approval)
–no tax on tips
–no tax on overtime
Defense — builds Golden Dome missile defense system
Thank you for posting this!
Bingo
President Trump knows what he is doing. Growth is going to occur after thus bill is passed, growth levels never seen in this country before.
“
GrowthSpending is going to occur after thus bill is passed, growthdebt levels never seen in this country before.FIFY.
I believe I read that the $6000 exemption on Social Security was changed back to $4000 in the Senate passed version of the bill.
Supply side economics = growth = more revenue. It postpones a possible future bloody battle,
increasing the debt by 5 trillion
This stuff is totally confusing (on purpose?). Anyway, there is the total fed debt $36T, and the “public” debt $29T. The latter is what the Congressional Budget Office uses. (The first includes money the gov’t owes to itself e.g. social security fund.) I think the smaller number is the amount held by the public, and the amount that the gov’t pays interest on).
They are running a $2T deficit each year, so $20T will be added to the public debt in 10 years. Plus interest costs go higher, so about 21 or 22T added: public debt in 2035 is $51T.
The complaints about the OBBB is that is keeps taxes at their current rates. If it does not pass, taxes go up, about 4 or $5T over 10 years. So in theory, if we let the taxes go up, the debt will “only” be $46T.
Agree, where we are at is not sustainable and the longer the can is kicked down the road, the harder it will be.
you’re forgetting that President Trump will be working doubly hard to bring money in. He’s already started and achieved much.
Has a time been given for the final vote today?
Nope! Depends on how long Jeffries will yammer on.
These clowns are truly pathetic. This Hakeem bozo has obviously mimicked Obama.
He looks ridiculous doing so..the hand gestures and finger pointing are out of sync with the drivel coming out of his mouth.
To think any Republican would vote with this fraud is nauseating.
Cheers!
Congress and its ridiculous procedural rules needs to be Doged! Their rules have made Congress an ineffective entity for decades.
Hakeem Jeffries is a complete and unabashed fraud. His one-word-at-a-time cadence is nauseating and makes him sound like an imbecile. If anyone in Congress could benefit from a speech coach and debate lessons, it’s this jerk.
He represents portions of Brooklyn and Queens, NY. His constituents are very proud of him, I’m sure.
You have a talent for understatement.
I just call them as I see them, pal.
So who were the commenters on here that said it was kabuki or street theater?
They were right…!
Raises hand…..
*Raises hand also….
Is this a Jeffries filibuster?????
The leader of each party in the House is allowed to talk as long as he wants. It’s called the “Magic Minute”
A few years ago I read about a mischievous senator (can’t remember his name) who figured out a way of shutting down a Senate filibuster. He’d keep offering the speaker glass after glass of water until the speaker was trying to speak while crossing his legs, hopping, etc. Goal was to get the speaker to yield the floor and run for the john.
He practiced for this very thing when he engaged in that 24 hour theatrical performance. Had to have been why he did it.
Does everyone have to remain silent? He should be booed and hissed constantly. Maybe a bullhorn would be nice. That said, could you ever see a Republican speaker pulling off a stunt like this? Me? Nope.
Pffttt…I am a nurse, I can beat that record………
Hold my beer.
Dollar Tree Obama has the sadzzzz today and thinks he’s doing something important
HA!! All this pathetic miscreant is doing is ultimately setting up this July 4th to be HISTORIC FOR US!
So… his sadzzz will increase exponentially – to be long, wide, deep, & often – when he realizes this fact of his own fool’s errand.
God has a very Cheeky Sense Of Humor… HE makes fools talk when it’s not in their best interest.
Even if it passes, does it have to return to the Senate???
No…
I don’t believe so. I think the bill currently being voted on is the Senate-approved bill. If the House could not agree to pass the Senate-approved bill, then it would have to go to a House-Senate conference to get the contentious issues ironed out.
Hopefully that won’t be necessary.
You are correct.. Once passed it goes to the President’s desk
And he is waiting….
^^THIS^^ is what I was just about to say.
Johnson and Thune want this issue off the table before the 4th. It’s NOT going to Senate-House Reconciliation, if Johnson has his way.
I think a conference committee to iron out the differences between the two versions, if there are any.
It never ceases to amaze me how the Republicans, when they hold all three houses, manage to get absolutely nothing done. Democrats railroad their agenda through immediately when the shoe is on the other foot. Democrats always vote in a mass block. Never is there anyone in that party who wants to work with the other side of the aisle, or a holdout. Parliamentary rules never seem to short change them. They are ignored if in the way and never enforced. To be fair, I’m not a big fan of this bill. SS tax breaks that don’t even go halfway, and are due to sunset in three years. Elon Musk, has shown his autism spectrum, but he has a valid point. He did a lot of heavy lifting, and. this bill pretty much negates alot of it. I understand his bitterness.
Sundance has explained that phenomenon at length here in the Treehouse and how the Uniparty pulls it off.
If they got things done, they couldn’t keep grifting their gullible GOP supporters for more money.
Their racket is maintaining a constant illusion among the rank and file suckers of “buying change”.
Meanwhile, the huge money that fills the Beltway office complexes surrounding the Capitol is what commands them.
I’m guessing that Jeffries wants to beat the record for longest House leader speech set by McCarthy at 8 hours and 32 minutes (this record is according to the C-Span scroll).
Jeffries started at 4:53 am. So to break the record, he’ll try to make it at least until 2 pm (9 hours).
I hope the GOP members long remember Jeffires as the one who delayed them getting home for the 4th.
5 hours of pure drivel! Hakeem Jeffries is running his mouth.
Outright bald lies in the main is what Jeffy is spouting
He thinks the dims are going to win the midterms and he’s auditioning for Speaker of the House.
Rix Six: “He thinks the dims are going to win the midterms and he’s auditioning for Speaker of the House.”
Donald Trump will not be on the ballot in November 2026 to bring out MAGA voters in their fullest possible numbers.
Unless a lot of work is done between now and the 2026 mid-terms on dealing with vote fraud issues, there is every reason to predict that Hakeem Jeffries will be Speaker of the House in 2027.
What Jeffries is doing is no different than protesters blocking a major highway. It is narcissistic, won’t change the ultimate outcome, and annoys/angers the innocent people who just want to get on with their lives.
They are beaten. So they are dragging out the inevitable.
What this admin seriously needs to do is the following. Take a comprehensive look at these rino pos’s voting history and lay it out in bullet point format. Massie,, Paul , Muckrowski, Roy, Collins, Fitzpatrick all of them. List all the democrat sponsored spending they vote yes on and then list all the republican sponsored stuff they always seem to come up as a no on. And any other bills that may have been consequential that they have stymied or flat out killed.
Then Have a press conference and show the whole world how principled they really are. Call it pre vetting for midterms. I bet most of us in here would even be surprised at how feckless these people really are….
Hakeem “… you know the thing!” Jeffries wrapping up (?)
What the H3LL has happened to our Country and government. Seems nothing small or big gets passed in a timely matter anymore. On top of that whomever controls the two houses are the ones who control not only the law as & bills passed, but governmental overspending.
H3LL seems that most Americans would be better off without the federal government as it stands now.
JMHO
Citizens went to indoctrination centers and not schools for learning the # R’s….
Very kind of Haaaaakeem, giving the GOP members time to grab a bite to eat and maybe a power nap. {/s}
Bobble headed dims behind Jeffy! Watch them nod no matter how outrageous the claim. Liberalism is such a sick religion.
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing
It’s the democrats base position
The White House is planning a signing ceremony for the One Big Beautiful Bill tomorrow, July 4th, at 5pm ET.
The BBB will supercharge deportations and restore American sovereignty on the exact day the America people first declared their sovereignty in 1776.

The Big Beautiful Bill isn’t perfect—no bill ever is. With slim majorities, compromise is inevitable. GOP “purists” can hog the spotlight and deliver squat. Or they can pass a bill that moves the needle. It’s not a conservative utopia, but there’s no reason to oppose it.

Any chance the tax on Social Security will ever be rescinded?
That has to be decided in separate legislation due to the nature of the Social Security Act (Law).
There is supposed to be a substantial means tested “Tax Credit” in the BBB that balances out the collection of Federal taxes on 50-85% of benefits paid, which impacts about 35%+ of retirees who earned the Social Security Benefit … that runs through 2028.
This indicates to me that the Republicans in CONGRESS are going to sacrifice the 35%+ of retirees to punt this one to the 2028 election and leave it dangling as potential issue to throw the 2026 Mid-Terms.
Before breaking out the bubbly and Trump Ceremonial Signing pens …
Question: were any of the changes put into the BBB “to convince the NO Votes last night” enough to require another Senate review??
Have not seen reports that state one way or the other.
Guess we’ll see after the final vote.

There weren’t any changes to the bill. Can’t be if they want it on the President’s desk for signing by July 4th.
Alternatively they can send the bill back to the Senate with demands for changes (not promising as the current Senate bill barely passed with a tie-breaker vote by Vance) —-or they can delay passage by days or weeks by going into a Senate/House negotiation process.
What is happening right now is an atempt to get the Senate version passed as it is in one final vote by the House and to the President’s desk by July 4th.
Thanks but the cynic in me cannot fully trust there were not some “changes” made to buy votes that will mean a trip back through the Senate will be demanded by the Uni-Party, which were not publicly revealed YET.
Hope you’re right though.
From one cynic to another, I don’t doubt some type of payoffs and promises were made –we may never know.
But I don’t think Johnson would allow any changes to the Senate bill without Senate approval. As you say it would be a guaranteed to be discovered and challenged by the left of the bills legitimacey.
Wish we had our own MAGA surveillance system inside Congress to know what is happening in back rooms.
May have been verbal assurances, “we will do that later” like “we” have gotten for decades.
Agree that’s what happened. Speaker Johnson already said they’ll do two more reconciliation bills during this congress’ term.
It would have to go back to the Senate if they added anything or changed anything. I’m guessing if deals were made they were done in a way that didn’t have to be added to the bill.
He’s on to his new notebook now. Much thinner than the previous one. Running out of steam.
I can’t watch … hope he is losing steam … Has Jeffries given up gesticulating …. is he getting tired? Maybe hunched over the lectern? And are bathroom breaks allowed?
Again, John Fredericks nails it in this short video:
Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill All Set to Pass, Ushering in Historic Tax Cuts!
Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” cleared the House procedural vote at 3:30 a.m., with only Brian Fitzpatrick voting no. Here’s what matters: this bill, the cornerstone of Trump’s agenda, is set to pass today, delivering the largest permanent tax cuts in history! Small businesses like mine are ready to invest, boosting the economy. With 147,000 real private-sector jobs added despite deportations and government cuts, this bill’s no-tax-on-tips(up to $12,500) and overtime tax relief (up to $25,000) will fuel growth. I predict Trump fires Jerome Powell on Monday for lying to Congress and blocking rate cuts. Lower rates plus this bill? We’re looking at the biggest economic boom ever!

BREAKING: Rep. Andrew Clyde just announced he is now a YES on final passage of the Big Beautiful Bill
This is HUGE, as Rep. Clyde was seen as a holdout.
“I look forward to President Trump signing the One Big Beautiful Bill into law so we can deliver a safer, stronger, and more prosperous America.”
He vowed to continue fighting for the 2nd Amendment infringement that is the NFA is “gone for good.”

Schumer and Jeffries (and many other Democrats) are so completely tone deaf, apparently unaware of how their antics are playing out in the heartland. A 21% approval among voters is not enough to convince them to stop doing the same things and expecting different results. Weird!
I think you have to realize, they don’t care one bit what the people in this country think or do.
Exactly. Republicans need to remember this stunt. (But they won’t, they purposely forgetful and lazy.)
Duly noted, and correct!
Voters don’t matter so much when the vote counters are on their side.
The finest government money can buy! /s
hakeem must be possessed.🦨
Oh, very, very likely. Just pay attention to his eyes.
Possessed? You are looking at Satan in the flesh and on earth
I’ll bet the guy to the left of Jeffries is horrible at poker. He has that “just shoot me now” look on his face.
The aisle seat is apparently designated for blacks only. Good grief.
Oh, please, make him stop.
As soon as he fills his diaper he will be done
Democrats KNOW we’re right on track for ANOTHER Trump Boom / Economic Expansion and there’s little they can do about it but lie.
Unlike 2020, there’s NOT going to be another Wuhan Flu scare they (and their Deep State apparatchiks) can use to gin up panic and shut it down, but I’m sure they’ll try something.
Between their economic malfeasance and open border policy, they know they’re screwed for the foreseeable future, which is why I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past them.

IRS data proves Trump tax cuts benefited middle, working-class Americans most

In a just country, there would be a bounty on ‘Rat Party members and we’d be hunting them down with dogs.
Can someone tell us if when they vote, it will being the Senate bill “as is”, and goes to Trump—-or was it modified and must go back to Senate?
Here hoping his catheter starts leaking.
Crazy to me how people are getting so caught up in saving a couple thousand dollars with their taxes, but NOBODY is talking about this incoming ICE budget being increased 11-fold.
I know that I am not the only one deeply troubled by these modern day masked brownshirts.
For me, it raises the memory of the old ‘first they
came for the communists but I wasn’t a communist’
story from 1930s Nazi Germany.
I shudder to think what Democrats will do with it.
What is the 11X bigger ICE budget compared to the savings from removing 20 – 30+ MILLION illegal welfare mooches? I guess you don’t think like that? I guess you don’t care that our children and their children would be saddled with their tab … forever. Why don’t we all just come over and crash at your pad on your dime?
It’s about time our sovereignty is defended with an 11-fold increase in funding. It’s only something we’ve been demanding for 30+ years….
Your concern is noted.
An eleven-fold increase in ICE budgeting, to deport a twenty-fold increase in illegal alien invaders.
Ugh. You concern is duly noted.///
He’s mainly concerned that the Democrats’ phantom voting base is about to be deported.
It’s all funded through tariffs.
And, if some day down the road Congress decides to cut the tariffs, they will have to first find money in the budget to still support border security. Not going to happen.
That couple of grand will impact a family…a family a little lower on the pay scales…
