The House of Representatives has voted to advance President Donald Trump’s $3.3 trillion “big, beautiful bill” to its final phase in Congress. After a long night of debate and amendment votes, the House is set to deliver the final vote this morning.
After it appeared to be derailed late Wednesday by hard-right holdouts, Republicans advanced the bill around 3:30 a.m. and are set to vote on final passage. During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open for almost six hours as they worked to flip 12 votes. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) was the lone Republican to vote “no” at the end.
.

You are the first one to report this story Sundance. I went to bed last night before they closed the vote and got up this morning to check out what happened and you are the only story out there so far. Thanks!
Indeed. And while I have my concerns with it….President Trump and Sundance are rock solid. If they are in…so am I.
Excellent analysis of the Big Beautiful Bill:

That account – Promethean Action – is excellent. They have YouTube videos out almost every day or two with substantive reports. Search for “Promethean Updates” Very clearly pro-Trump/ MAGA but with good background and explanations.
Yes, me too. I really think they will address the debt in other ways after this passes.
THIS time it will be different…
say the politicians who refuse to “address the debt” while in their best position ever to do so.
Never…gonna…happen

FWIW, CNBC.com had stories very early this morning and later on. Headlines were negative, par for the NBC network. Heaven forbid those losers ever support America.
The Donald site was following live all night. (patriots.win)
Saw them getting closer with every call.
👍
I checked here @ 3:30 or so to see what had happened, must have been going on at that time.
Thanks to all.
Gateway Pundit ran overnight updates, which included a 2:23 am tweet from Jake Sherman, Punchbowl News, that the procedural vote had just passed.
👍
Even if th3y pass it, does it have to return to the Senate?
No.
Brian Fitzpatrick explained his “no” vote on his X account – because Ukraine wasn’t getting enough money – and I am enjoying my morning coffee while reading all of the comments left for him, eviscerating him. It seems like he might be next for the Liz Cheney treatment.
He is not exactly truthful. I think his district has the ammunitions manufacturer making munitions for Ukraine’s use: the same company Zelensky visited during the campaign.
That means that Fitzgerald was really upset about losing the filthy lucre he was receiving under the table.
No not same district. Fitzpatrick reps Bucks
The munitions factory is in Scranton. Lackawanna county
“No not same district.”
Corruption knows no bounds.
My sister-in-law’s brother explained it best last night, these clowns should be required to wear their “sponsorships” name/logo on their clothing like NASCAR driver’s. That way we know why they’re all saying the dumb$%it they do.
The more prominent the “sponsor” (read lobbyist) to their coffer, the larger the name/logo.
FARA… MGT pointed this out recently in an interview with Tucker. Literally foreign flags displayed in the Halls Of Congress. I know many around here are not big fans of one and/or the other personality… but it was a solid interview, if you get a chance.
Have you seen clapping seals with yellow & blue or white & blue in the hall of CONgre$$..????
I love that idea! If no shirts, their official websites should be required to do that.
Have you seen lately white & blue or blue & yellow displayed in CONgre$$ ???
One of the worst members of congress. Never thought he was a Republican.
Fitzpatrick requires “no” votes when he is up for reelection. 👎
Brian Fitzpatrick has outed himself as a big ugly RINO. I suspect his days are numbered.
by his own hand
Fitzpatrick votes with the Democrats more often than with MAGA. Check his record. He is a Rhino.
Should be called the Wreck of Brian Fitzpatrick. The Wreck of Edmund Fitzgerald comes to mind.
Great song by the Canuck, Gordon Lightfoot. It sends shivers down the old spine.
Many moons ago I bought that LP just for that tune! The whole album is good!
Is Johnson a genius or what?
No, he’s not a genius, but he did work hard to get the bill passed.
You funny!!
Yeah ranks up there w Jeff Sessions & Paul Ryan… are you paid advertising for Johnson??? Don’t you remember his extremely evil lie about the CR being only a few pages at Christmas 2024??? When it was thousands of pages that granted pardons for J6 prosecutors? Memory of fish around here. Go to prison for 4 years w/o your family… and your view of Johnson might be starkly different after that huge lie at the end of 2024.
1st John 4;10
He knew how to push this, did the job of the Whip, and delivered. His ability to move the dial made this possible.
Sad sack Pauley Ryan never would have; Sessions was a frightened quitter, ran for cover at the first sign of stormy weather. When did we ever hear of either of these guys last?
So, yes, it was a genius move and he delivered.
Johnson succeeded and he was willing to try and give Trump what he needed for a win. I would not want to be a politician!
You got me and I did laugh.
No, he is not a genius, but he did stay in a Holliday Inn Express once.
Or what.
He is a chameleon.
One could say he is pragmatic or flexible but I see him as pliable making him an agreeable compromise for the D.S.
No he’s not. He’s someone who’s easily influenced/controlled which is why Trump likes him in that position.
Let’s do the deed, GOP.
We’re 5 hours ahead of DC and I’ve watched Jeffries filling up time for well over four hours now. Could easily lose the will to live!
This is exactly reflects what happened in our Parliament on Tuesday/Wednesday, plus the protracted Hakeem monologue! He’s an even more dull speaker than our PM Starmer; keeps repeating himself and has used a ploy much loved by our Socialists – padding out his ‘content’ with emotional personal emails, allegedly from supporters, and political word salad ad nauseum – and he’s even praising FJB!
Our vile (socialist/uniparty) government MPs relentlessly lobbied their own party’s Chancellor of the Exchequer (Treasury minister) against her modest attempts to rein in some of our spending to such an extent that she finally ended up sobbing on the Government front benches, pretty much isolated and ignored by her boss and colleagues. And her own side methodically restored our version of benefits pork, and hollowed out her legislative attempts.
‘Compassionate’ socialists? Not on this planet. More like self-serving idealogues. We see you, Jeffries 👀!
You all are so blessed to have President Trump and, yes, Mike Johnson too!
Praying you get it done!
Its frightening to see what’s happening to the UK. Comments coming out of Ireland sound dire. I once dreamed of moving to Ireland, but very glad it never materialized. Churchill would not believe what all the ‘blood, sweat and tears’ shed for England has wrought. I can only imagine how much of a struggle it must be for you. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
A tweet from JD Vance…
“GOP Congressman just texted me:
‘I was undecided on the bill but then I watched Harlem Jeffries performance, and now I ama firm yes.'”
Autocorrect doesn’t recognize the name “Hakeem”…
Thus “Harlem”.
lol! Thanks, I needed that! Slept through it all!
You watched Jeffries spew all this time? You must have a very strong stomach!
She has to watch Starmer, Rachel from Accounts, and other bloviating destroyers of the UK.
She’s built up her stamina.
Did T. Massie (R.,Ky) vote for the BBB?
If he did, what an arrogant prick! Holding up the world to grandstand, and then caving.
Yes – Fitzpatrick was the only NO
He voted for the RULE but he will most likely vote NO on the Bill.
Nope, Massie just voted yes to ADVANCE the bill to a final vote…procedural nonsense.
Brian Fitzpatrick really should change his affiliation to Communist Demonrat…he votes against We The People most of the time. I read that he actually went home after he voted…not a surprise. Will be collecting another pension in addition to his FBI pension.
His beef… holding out for more funding to Ukraine!
He’s after kickbacks. What a POS.
Ukraine, the laundromat for political kick-backs!
Massie went yes, then no, then yes on the procedural vote. He’s such a drama queen. He will most likely be a no on the vote to approve.
he needs a massive cup check with a 1-wood.
FORE!
Yes , Massie Caved. Reportedly after/during phone call with President Trump, on condition
Trump would “stop talking about him,” ha ha !
THe power of the mean tweet, the power of righteous ridicule ? An d thanks to massie for relelnting- history will bless him for this move !
Lol, he voted to advance the Inflation Reduction Act too.
On condition Trump would “stop talking about him”……
So then, it REALLY wasn’t about the bill, was it Congressman?
President Trump already started a PAC to primary Massie. He’s now cratering in Kentucky polls.
I hope President Trump didn’t have to promise to not primary him. But I trust President Trump will do what’s needed to get this bill across the finish line, so if that’s the price then . . .
He’ll still get primaried… and he’ll lose, even if Trump does not specifically endorse his opponent.
Massie will wind up dropping out of his reelection campaign.
That’s who he is. His principle is grandstanding with a side of grift.
Christina Pushaw’s new boyfriend??
They can have one another – just go away.
Both are pure yuck
Massie, Rand Paul, Mitch McConnell–Kentucky, what’s up with this crap?
Chyna is whats up
“During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open”
Aren’t those guys and gals a little old for pulling “all nighters”?
You think they might have grown up by now.
I guess not….
Deplorable_Infidel….
I am still working in ICU on the nightshift…at 67 and routinely pull all nighters on no sleep. and a lot of coffee. I have zero sympathy.
I do that because of those Congress creeps and other past politicians can’t stay out of my wallet.
I have no sympathy for them being up all night. In fact, they should ‘pull’ a few more, IMO.
And those that ‘split’ to go home and be with family for the holiday? In my 45+ years, I can count on one hand the number of times I have had a holiday off to be with family.
As far as I am concerned, as their employer, it was an ‘unexcused absence’ from work and should be treated accordingly, no matter what Johnson said…
Its about time something ‘optimal’ happened….
Hi Aggiegirl,
Thanks for a different perspective on things.
My reasoning is that if they would just do what the people want, instead of partisan bickering (and inserting stuff for the special interests bribing them with “campaign contributions”), they had plenty of time to “get it done” during normal business hours.
Also, no pulling shenanigans in the middle of the night. Like what happened with the passage of the unconstitutional [un]SAFE Act in NYS back in 2013.
It’s all choreographed at this point. Too many professional grifters with hands in the pie for it to truly change. Term limits will help, but the DC world built up around these amoral, gutless asshats just has too much inertia. 17th repeal would help and limiting funding would curtail much of the trash. Unfortunately, these same clowns would have to kill their own golden goose.
Didn’t Pelosi and the Dems force the Obamacare vote into the late night shenanigans too?
I believe so, but do not remember for certain.
The eight years the White House was afflicted with a BHO infection I did not spend a lot of time watching every detail because it was the source of too much aggravation I had no control over.
2 Timothy 2:4 KJV
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
“just do what the people want”
Exactly right! They are there to REPRESENT us and our wishes. They are not there to LEAD us. I will never call them my leaders.
Same here Aggiegirl!
💕
“And those that ‘split’ to go home and be with family for the holiday? In my 45+ years, I can count on one hand the number of times I have had a holiday off to be with family.”
I’m not at 45 years yet but same here.
Politicians and cock-roaches do best in the dark of night.
👍
– you got that right!
🙂
It was dumb to hold up the procedural vote. Very childish and selfish. Just get to the real vote and then vote how you want to. Really a bad look for those 8 or 9 Republican congressmen who held the procedural vote up all night.
I did like it that the Dems had to sit through it all though and were forced to stay up all night. How did Pelosi fare I wonder, lol?
Sleep over
Nancy Mace went to work in her jammies!
Another attention getter
God Bless the 219 yes voters
and president Trump for his powers of persuasion
The BBB is the ONLY route to correction the USA
has now; it averts disaster and does MUCH to begin the USA Golden Age.
Kudos to Johnson
And THANK YOU Sundance and TREEPERS FOR the PLACE TO GET HONEST COVERAGE AND
INSIGHT
Thank you, Terencio, for saying it so powerfully and succinctly.
As usual, I’m so very curious what deals were made to switch votes.
The pigs that went against MAGA getting extra pork for their pet projects is my guess. Pet projects that benefit the lobbyists interests no doubt.
Yes indeed
That is a constant in budgeting now. Very destructive.
Retired Magistrate here: Trying to get Republicans to vote on a bill that while it is not perfect, it is overall beneficial for the citizens of the United States, is like trying to herd cats.
Why is that?
First thoughts that come to mind are independent thinking, non-conformist thinking, things like that which could be admired.
Then I recall someone saying Republicans are about money …
Rand Paul and Thomas Massie, for all their seeming “purity” of principle, are total poseurs.
If they really believed in “pure” libertarianism they would never have gotten on the public payroll teat.
In the eighties when I was involved in it, far before it became all about open borders and smoking pot, that move was looked upon as a major sellout. 🤣
(For the record, I am now a popularian. That’s a MAGA populist who knows that we can’t have any sort of free market until we have 100% national sovereignty restored.)
Libertarianism as an idea works only when one lives in tiny groups far from others.
or Baptize a cat…
Or, in Haitian Creole, eat a cat.
Marcia,
I’m pretty sure herding cats is easier.
😻
Thank you, Sundance. Get some rest!
Sundance and President Trump thrive on little sleep.
If anyone’s really bored, they can watch Hakeem Jeffries Yammer on and on and on, pausing every three words or so to most closely imitate his hero Obama on C-SPAN.
Jeffries is a fraud.
And dumb as a hammer. He’s not the dumbest guy up there, but he’s in the “top” 10%.
You HAVE to be corrupt and stupid to be a ‘Rat Party member, much less a ‘Rat Party elected official. That’s why I refuse to do business with them. The only thing you can truly trust them to do is something dishonest.
And probably the ugliest guy in Congress, too.
He is Temu Obama after all.
Hakeem Jefferies has that “Special Ed” look to me…
Mr. Ed, with apologies to the horse.
On my way to celebrate A New Era of American Greatness! America250’s Kick-Off Celebration featuring remarks by President Donald J. Trump at the Iowa State Fair tonight.
After the BBB passes it is going to be on 🔥
I’m proud to be an American…
Praise Be To God.
House minority leader praising LBJ…….
Great Society = socialism and buying votes.
Aren’t we glad that the 89th CONgress that helped LBJ fundamentally change the USA in mid 1960’s is a thing of the past.
Are you ready for these figures?
In the 89th Congress, by contrast, it was estimated that there were 59 liberals and 41 conservatives in the Senate, and 267 liberals and 168 conservatives in the House.[3]
Johnson was a terrible president, a Texas con-man who got conned by his own hubris: “Guns and Butter” indeed!
After doing everything wrong in Vietnam and on the economy, and then injuring The American Soul with the ironically named Great Society Program, which made America less great by destroying families – especially in Afro-American neighborhoods – Johnson retired, unable to discern why things had gone so wrong
“The War on Poverty” increased poverty by throwing money at people, who – like birds at a bird feeder – expected ever more money to flow their way ! Soon, people who could and did work decided that free money was easier than working and improving your life the old-fashioned way.
Johnson and his “help-the-poor” DEMS invented the “Welfare Cadillac” back then!
Not to mention he was likely complicit with the Blob in getting rid of his stumbling block.
Well done. You almost put him in Woodrow Wilson territory.
Absolutely correct. In fact, you actually understated the case. Robert Caro lays it all out there and Johnson comes out looking like a truly evil man.
He supposedly had an MK Ultra’d ritualized SA slave – as did Poppy Bush and the Harridan Hag Clinton. The depths of depravity these people willingly walk into for power and ‘prestige’ is truly stunning.
Some of us in Texas would like to forget he came from our great state, but how can we when everywhere you travel there’s an LBJ-named street, highway, or building. Oh and then there’s Ladybird Johnson as well.
I can empathize with you.
In San Jose, CA, the street in front of the Shark Tank Arena was renamed Barack Obama Boulevard.
Should have called it Bath-house Barry Boulevard (BBB).
I can name one thing LBJ did that was good.
Because of him, I have never and never will vote for a demoncrat and I feel certain I am not the only one.
Biggest POS president of the 20th century. Although it’s a horse race against Wilson.
FDR and Zero are definitely pushing them.
Lyndon B. Johnson sent 58,281 Americans to their deaths and another 303,644 were injured during the Vietnam War.
He is a black man and he’s praising Johnson?? Wowsa he really is a sell out to his black constituents if he can utter praise for the guy who destroyed the black families and basically put the blacks back into slavery under another name. Sad for all involved and he’s praising the guy.
I can’t take the dry mouth lip smacking from Jeffries. Too many drugs.
I like what RAV is doing. They show a video of him with no sound of his pontification, and talk as if he’s saying nothing relevant.
Which is true!
Step 1 – Pass the bill which will fund and put in place PT’s growth policies
Step 2 – Prove to Americans via PT’s economic growth plans (GDP) plus via tariffs he can drive federal revenue beyond anyone’s expectation.
Step 3 – Thus allowing PT to reduce some of our debt burden and/or eliminate federal income tax for those Americans making less than 300,000.
Step 4 – Eliminate the Fed and return the US to a gold & crypto based standard. (No more blanks checks issued by a political Fed)
Step 5 – Put Ed Martin in place as a special investigator to investigate the 2020 election fraud, 2 assassination attempts, Russia Collusion fraud and Ukraine/USAID money laundering to overthrow a sitting President of the US and our Constitution.
Step 6 – Arrest and lock up for many, many years those who worked to undermine a sitting President/Presidential candidate, to undermine our elections, who manipulated and stole years from hundreds of Jan 6 Americans, who lied and hid evidence of their crimes, who stole money from the American people
Step 7 – Move the country to national election reform laws where voter ID is required, illegals can not vote, hand count paper ballots, no machines, one day voting, limited and monitored mail in voting.
I’d settle for true analysis and reforms for election integrity, and then I would think everything else would fall into place as an outcome.
Changing the census to only count legal US citizens is a good step.
Investigating the 2020 election results would be good. Adding in all those other things may be hard to accomplish in a timely manner.
I’m still interested in and curious about what a really high integrity election would produce.
Don’t forget the autopen scandal. That is a huge deal and should be top of the list for looking into. 4 years of illegal signings of so much destructive legislation warrants a serious examination. The consequences should be voiding out anything not legitimately signed by the President. Of course that won’t happen, but it should be revealed to the American people just how bad the Biden administration was and who was actually running the country.
Read the Gateway Pundit reports on Auto Pen. The A and B signature are alleged to be Jill Biden – not Joe – she signed his name to set up the auto pen signature. The Auto Pen is definitely illegal –
That would make sense, as by that point, Old Joe’s signature would likely have been a big tell regarding his condition.
Then who signed Hunter’s pardon ? Doesn’t match the autopen. Jill ? Joe ? A Staffer ?
So a couple rough nights (out of 365) and free airfare home and back. Not bad. Also not bad, 1 term, 2 years, part time hours gets you the best free healthcare for life. And should you stay around, or hang around really, the insider trading 401k package is 2nd to none.
Can’t watch the live feed link, Hakeem won’t shut up.
Amen!
And he’s still yammering. Good grief, I thought he only had an hour!
RAV isn’t including any of Jeffries’ drivel – they just show him gesticulating and a moment ago had someone tearing his so-called arguments apart.
americasvoice.news
Just a technicality, but those holdouts are not hard right. Heck, I’m not sure they’re conservative at all. They’re just generally grifting.
Once again the Repubs had to play out the drama for all to see. Agonizing about some little personal wish/dilemma taking the “higher ground” before “unselfishly” caving to the “greater good”, even Massie. Cannot remember the Dems doing anything like this even though they’re farther apart politically. Seems like the Repubs have NO RESPECT for President Trump, MAGA, or any voters who so put them into office to support the Trump agenda we ALL voter for. Tired of their pretending.
I went to bed after it cleared and Johnson was quoted as saying something about passing it (?) at or by 0830.
Sundance, a big “Thank You” for your all nighter…
They think we’re impressed with this bullsh*t theater. Nancy Mace even traveled in her PJs. She was upset the PJ photo shoot didn’t let her showcase her boobs, which she likes to show off. Lawd, I’ll be glad when the grifting is stopped and we can have some real MAGA congress critters who are temporary and don’t quit their day jobs, the way our founders intended. Career politicians 🤮. Lobbyists 🤮
100% this, and yet GOP voters will continue to line up and vote for these folks every. single. time.
It’s a great grift if you can get it.
Chris, the problem is that they are the only option on offer. They’re bad, but voting for a ‘Rat Party politician is suicide.
Present Americans with a different and better alternative and you’ll see a lot of them choose it.
Well, I like Nancy Mace and have zero issues with anything you have said specifically about her. I do not think she is one of the people you mention though. She has been solid for President Trump.
Hey, they’re pretty nice, so if she wants to show them off, I’m not about to complain. It’s Congress, you know. They desperately need anything that looks good that they can find. There isn’t much of it and you don’t see it often.
To congress, quit your gamesmanship, we are not impressed, just pass the thing, go home, wave the flag and some sparklers in front of the camera, then go enjoy raising more money from the usual suspects, while to doing so on the taxpayers dime.
Brian Fitzpatrick is no Conservative. He is a Philadelphia Liberal pretending to be a Republican.
Who needs to be primaried and booted into retirement from politics.
He strangely looks like the Vindman’s.
Lack of facial symmetry?
Bucks County not too long ago was conservative farm country. Fitzpatrick was elected by college yuppies who moved away from Philthy-delphia into the new communities that sprang up when the farms were sold and developed. He is a 1,000% RINO liar.
I suspect these late night theatrics are purely so the members of the House Freedom Caucus can get their invitations onto the TV talk shows. Pfui. A “no” vote here was a career-ending suicide for a GOP Congressperson, so why pretend otherwise? And the anonymous, drive-by attacks on Johnson are getting old.
It looks like Johnson did something crafty: he kept the votes he needed to pass in reserve until 3:30am, because they were not yet in the building, and so the opponents of President Trump were put on full display during the evening hours. The names of the 10 GOPs in opposition were exposed for all to see. Then they had to flip, when Johnson brought the other votes in! Gotcha!
Again, totally choreographed.
Sundance
Continued BLESSINGS!
We’re very Grateful for YOU!
BLESSINGS on each in this Amazing Tree.
May The LORD continue to BLESS America.
Oh Lord, hear our prayers.
Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a limit on amount of “leader’s debate time”, so Jeffries may continue to stall and yammer on for quite a while.
Let’s hope I’m wrong!
Bummer! I was right.
I don’t even know what hard right means anymore. All the old terms are dead.
eagerly awaiting the good news
Now that Johnson has fulfilled his role, can we go back to Empty Chair?
I have two thoughts about the BBB this morning.
What was allowed in the BBB was determined by a dead Democrat Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan and a democrat appointed socialist parliamentarian. That is inexcusable.
The House of Representatives passed a big platter of gourmet BBB and sent it to the Senate. The Senate scraped off some of the gourmet BBB and piled on some scoops of socialist sh!t and sent it back for the House of Representatives to approve. Some members of the house wanted to scrape the sh!t off. Ignorant people attacked the members of the house for wanting to take the time to scrape the sh!t off and demanded that the platter be served NOW with the sh!t on it instead of cleaning it up and sending it back to the Senate. If you were one of those, be sure you take a big helping of the socialist sh!t off of the platter for your part.
Elaborate, what socialist shit. Stop being a midget and be a giant. Back up your assertions. Post specifics. I bet people are going to die, too. Right?
The main thing I object to with what I know so far is more money for windmills and solar panels.
East Texas farmland is being covered with solar panels. It is cloudy about as many days as not but the real problem will come 20 years down the road when the panels no longer work and are a big toxic mess. East Texas has been and is continuing to build lakes for the water for north central Texas. All of the water for northeast and north central Texas will be contaminated.
Solar panels and windmills are the new conservative thing. Just look at the great conservative Texas led by republicans. Windmills and solar panels everywhere.
Another thing being reported (who knows what is true) that illegals will still get free medical care.
The only people that are going to die are the ones who fall off of their horse.
Interesting, you don’t point to any facts, but you share a lot of hyperbole. Good thing I’m the horse and I can’t fall off myself.
Those members holding this up are not the selfless heroes you portray. They are looking for favors to buy their votes. For themselves and the financial backers they represent who line their pockets. Look further into who owns them and you will see the truth of why they holdout. If this bill were sent back to the Senate, it might die there and nothing gets done except a huge tax increase for all Americans. Better to play the game and get as much of the good things in the bill as possible and then work on the rest through other means.
That’s what DC is all about. Play the game smartly and some decent issues might get solved or helped. It’s awful but that’s how it goes. I trust Pres. Trump and approval from SD that this bill is a necessary step for MAGA.
Those members are “playing the game”.
What is your complaint with that?
You couldn’t be more hopelessly wrong.
Why don’t you explain it for me?
Illegals will be REMOVED from medicaid and medicare. Also those that are citizens that are able bodied without any children under the age of 14 will be required to work 20 hrs a week. So, yes you are WRONG. Stop watching msdnc and watch RAV instead.
PA repubes are beholden to the big business interests that make lots of bank funneling the governments counterfeit cash through the needs of illegal aliens.
this is why globalists and uniparty love illegals. cheap labor and they get taxpayer money supplying their needs.
Excerpted from article above: “During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open for almost six hours as they worked to flip 12 votes. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) was the lone Republican to vote “no” at the end”.
It always makes me cringe — sick to my stomach — when I read TRUTHS such as this; whereas such UGLY TRUTH, apparently, is that Congressional “Leaders” most probably SOLD We The People down the river … in order to juice-up some spending in order to get these self-serving reps to FLIP.
Further, regarding the SPENDING ORGY, yesterday, in the Senate, part of the story of getting this bill passed was that Murkowski got approved EXTRA SPECIAL SPENDING — read: increased TAX BURDEN on We The People — in order to FLIP her vote.
Is there any reasonable chance for hope? Are We The People never going to learn to STOP VOTING INTO OFFICE these many SOCIOPATHIC JUDASES — sociopaths because, by definition, they hold not a ounce of EMPATHY for the citizens — who, at the drop of a hat, for demonstrably self-serving obvious reasons, are willing to enact COMPULSORY ANTI-AMERICAN SOCIAL ENGINEERING PROJECTS?
Our GOVT at all levels is not there for SOCIAL ENGINEERING — it is NOT there to fundamentally transform our NATION — rather, it is there, and, there ONLY to fairly and equally protect the Certain Unalienable Rights of We the People … so says our Unanimous Declaration of 4 July 1776.
You got to fix the revenue problem. Trump will bring in a ton of money. If we needed to get her a few billions so he can bring in trillions, it’s the cost of doing business.
He has the cards he’s been dealt. We The People needed to started working the day after the 2024 election to change the deck for 2026!!!!
Where can I go to see the names of the hold outs and the timeline of their final vote.
If life were wonderful there would be a place that provided the names in real time as the next vote progresses.
Watching the live streams only provides current totals. I want to know in real time, in particular Keith Self.
Representative Brian Fitzpatrick needs to be primaried and removed by the people of Pennsylvania.
These asshats, pardon my language, but they are what they are, had no problem voting to pass Biden’s (or should I say, the Auto Pen’s) legislation. They didn’t fight, scratch, or raise hell over the debt ceiling either. Looking at you, Massie, if you were really that principled, you had the power to stop it. But when it comes to permanent tax cuts? Suddenly, they draw the line.
And now Fitzpatrick is throwing a tantrum over not sending more weapons to Ukraine. He’s shown his hand; he’s a warmonger, plain and simple.
If this charade doesn’t wake more people up, I don’t know what will. These so-called holdouts? Most of them just wanted more for themselves, including Massie. All while preaching “fiscal responsibility” and ignoring the 10% baseline tariff and what it could actually bring in.
I’m beyond tired of these people.
Tantrum was first… Nay vote followed…
Agree with the concerns many have about spending, and the seemingly endless tag-ons of favors, and burdens of regulation of one sort or another.
But if not this one, then which? What alternates were there, and with that Bill in hand what is the next step? It seems spending as guided by the DOGE discoveries is a must target along with voter integrity, alien deportation, and border security.
“spending, and the seemingly endless tag-ons of favors, and burdens of regulation”
This is simply Reality, at this point… so let’s live within the parameters of Reality and figure out how to OPTIMIZE the insanity. Folks in Congress must be willing to wear a badge proudly declaring “World’s #1 Turd Polisher”… or perhaps campaign on the promise “Will Polish Turds For Votes”.
It’s easy to just be a “principled contrarian”… much harder to provide practical solutions to hard problems. In Reality, “practical” and “perfect” are orthogonal concepts. Seriously… PRECISELY WHAT has Rand Paul accomplished over the last 15 years? Fauci testimony soundbites? A bunch of Nay votes?
Hakeem’s 24 hour theatrics a couple of months ago was his practice run!
Is he going 24 again to stop this being passed by July 4 so the Dems can say Pres. Trump didn’t get his wish? Betting windows open now to bet on how long he rambles on. Hope he has the thickest set of depends on that he could find. Or do they get potty breaks?
So if these holdout republicans don’t oppose the 2017 tax cuts or the 216 billion in spending for the wall and immigration enforcement…which is around 90% of the “spending” in the bill…what is it they oppose?
Trump getting credit is what they oppose…
I think there is an excuse that the spending should be cut more and the debt issues are not addressed or are made worse for the Repubs. Both shallow excuses, imo to cover for more special favors the holdouts want. The Dems will just oppose anything Trump related that is a positive for voters.
They can write their congressman and request that they pass a bill that cuts spending and another one that reduces the debt. oh wait, they are the congressman, maybe they should just do their job and then President Trump wouldn’t have to do it for them.
Yup, we’re over the barrel once again, as they’ve planned.
I don’t like the bill, but then again I don’t also like what happens if we don’t have this bill.
So here we are, picking our poison.
I do agree that this is probably the best thing they can produce with who is there to work with and given the issues we’ve got that need dealing with.
It’s impossible to get this stuff all done without winding up spending more money.. these are the facts here.
You can’t renovate your falling in house that you need to live in with the money in your wallet, you are going to need a lot of money to do that kind of a job and the job must be done or you don’t have a roof over your head— this is how I’m seeing the situation they’ve put us in.
Leverage
What kind of leverage are we looking at here?
What exactly did Trump and Johnson use to advance this legislation onto the cusp of a previously improbable win?
There is something wrong with Pennsylvania.
The guy is an ice cream headache…without the ice cream.
Good analogy Bacillus…I may borrow it…😀
I am so stealing that
When I turned on the video Jefferies was speaking so i turned it off. He wasn’t really speaking, he was reading. Seems that he can’t even speak on his own.
If a Democrat opens their mouth, they’re lying…if they don’t open their mouth, they’re still lying.
He has the same speech pattern as Obama.
Both probably thought the frequent pauses were “dramatic pauses,” but the disjointed manner of speaking is just annoying.
He’s not the only one. It’s deliberate. They practice hard at being Obama-like in speech, mannerisms, and appearance.
It kind of. sounds like. he’s trying. to talk like. captain. kirk.
P.O.C… Person Of Comatosity…
Somehow the Missing lInk comes to mind when you see Al Green , Hank the dolt from Georgia ,and Hakeem
Lol! That is funny, Sundance!
I can’t wait for some of the real workers to know that despite the Democrats opposition, the Republicans eliminated taxes on their tips and overtime. A lot of union workers get paid overtime — it will be needed when manufacturing ramps up.
Construction workers, plumbers, hospitality, etc all get overtime and/or tips. Think of all the tips that get pooled and reported to the IRS in the gaming industry. There’s no reason Trump shouldn’t be able to leverage that in the mid-terms.
Umm, can you share where they removed the no tax on tips?
Interesting, because that was still in the bill that was sent to the House from the Senate. And validated as such by Reps on X. So, share where you got the information.
Listening to Hocktooey Jeffries speak is like jamming knitting needles in my eyes. Someone pull his plug please.
Jeffries still talking, 6:19 PDT

Yikes! I just wasted 30+ mins listening to a Dem Congressman from NY burn up what he claimed to be “unlimited time.” Is this gonna drag on through all 213 Dems in the House?
Nope. As Minority Leader he gets to do this – but no one else will.
And Mike Johnson will take about two minutes I think!
We can only hope that somebody passes him a note that the sheep behind him are falling asleep, and the votes for the bill are all strengthening because he’s annoying people.
lol! Make them suffer.

🔥The day I’ve warned of for 6 years & screamed about the past 6 months is finally here:
🔥the EU’s “Voluntary Code of Conduct on Disinformation” just became MANDATORY.
🔥US social media platforms will now get whipped by huge EU fines if they don’t throttle what the EU calls “disinfo.”
🔥This is the day American Censors-In-Exile have been waiting for, ever since Elon bought X and Zuck began to follow suit with free speech reforms.
🔥This Global Censorship Law run by the EU is and has been, for years, their secret weapon in waiting.🔥
It’s now fully unleashed. 👇👇
🔥ADF International🔥
🔥Today, the EU takes a significant step toward strengthening online censorship, transforming the “Code of Conduct on Disinformation” into a mandatory part of the Digital Services Act.
🔥The DSA threatens free speech across the world and must be repealed.
🔥The EU’s DSA has created one of the most dangerous censorship regimes of the digital age.
🔥It is an authoritarian framework that enables unelected bureaucrats to control online speech at scale—both in Europe and globally—under the guise of “safety” and “protecting democracy”.
🔥The DSA is a legally binding regulatory framework that gives the European Commission authority to enforce “content moderation” on very large online platforms and search engines with over 45 million users per month.
🔥Platforms that fail to comply face massive financial penalties and even suspension.
🔥It requires platforms to remove “illegal content,” defined as anything not in compliance with EU or Member State law at any time, now or in the future.
🔥This creates the “lowest common denominator” for censorship across the EU, effectively exporting the most restrictive laws to all Member States.
🔥The DSA’s uses loose concepts such as “misinformation,” “disinformation,” “hate speech,” & “information manipulation”…

Get the U.S. out of NATO, we did not agree to defend dictators.
Actually at this point Jeffries may be bringing about an unintended consequence.
According to RAV at least one rather squishy Repub (unnamed) tweeted that he was not so solid on the BBB, but Jeffries’ grandstanding has firmed up his resolve.
The only reason Jeffries is speaking is that he can use something called the “magic moment” to give himself unlimited time at this point in the process.
The idiot is having the opposite effect. People are sleeping and annoyed and ready to show him what they think of his stunt.
I thought the rules that passed allowed 1 hour for debate. How long is Jeffries allowed to filibuster for? Does anyone here know?
I was wondering that too.
The minority leader (and I think the leader of the majority) both are given a “courtesy minute” which means they may speak as long as they like.
However, leave it to a dem to abuse a courtesy for the purpose of punishing people.
Jeffries is known for being one of the most boring people alive. Even Democrat members are falling asleep in their seats while he drones on. He won’t achieve whatever he is hoping to accomplish no matter how long he stays up there before he needs to take a potty break.
He has no time limit.
