The final vote was 51-50, with Vice President JD Vance breaking a tie. Republican Senators Susan Collins, Rand Paul and Thom Tillis of North Carolina joined Democrats and voted no. WATCH:
.
The Big Beautiful Bill now returns to the House for final vote and passage.

It now will go back to the House because it is not as beautiful as the one the House sent to the Senate
Oh Lord, hear our prayers.
It will go back to the House because what came out of the Senate is different than what the House gave them. Expect the House to pass it unchanged, with a bit of whining. Cheers –
tillis is a disgrace.
As is Rand Paul, Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham…ad infinitum
yes
Paul is the one senator with self respect . He was not elected to rubber stamp a president, no matter who it is.
No, he isn’t. You can make a fiscal excuse to not vote for any bill. Mr. ‘Taxfighter Libertarian’ was ready to plunge us into recession with a 4% GDP drop he knew was going to hit if the tax cuts didn’t go through. This isn’t him vs Trump. It’s him and his big business buddies vs the people.
It was a popular uprising in Trump’s non-stop effort to get out the vote. He did it by flying all over the country and giving speeches day, after day, after day, after day. Okay so that worked but DJT is just one man.
WE NEED ANOTHER POPULAR UPRISING WITH SOME TRUMP-GRADE LEADERSHIP.
Where y’all at? Billionaires and trillionaires are cashing in on Trump’s hard work and laughing at the rest of us. What will it take to pull our fat out of the fire. The D.C. in Washington DC stands for Death City. That whole place needs to be stripped to the walls. They need us a million times more than we will ever need any of them.
It is still my belief, once Trump has the House pass the bill. What you and I desire will begin to happen. Once passed, indictments and arrests on a large magnitude will take place. Proof and evidence of criminal activity will start dropping hourly. Much of it will not only cover previous office holders, but also most in Congress, both Dems and Repubs. This will be the Great Awakening to all, and will then explain much of the government and media lack of listening to the citizens. And then tied into a huge bow, with then presenting and educating the country on voter fraud, going back at least 2 decades. That will facilitate the need for instant elections, with America loving office holders, ready to modify Trump’s EO’s, and deal with the deficit, budget,:immigration, sanctuary cities, education and so many other pressing needs.
Here’s hoping, Mac. This BBB charade is based on air-money printed by the crooked FED and distributed by the ever-consolidating banking community. U.S. Constitution says plainly that “money” in the U.S.A. is made of either gold or silver. The fiat paper chase that started in 1913 is just about over.
If what you predict for after BBB comes true, then we still gotta a shot at remaining sovereign citizens here in the U.S. of A. But it will take a genuine uprising of many, many, many ordinary people to put the oligarchs back down where they belong: 20,000 leagues under the sea.
P.S. I had some good times with John McBride out in L.A. back in the 80’s. Dude was really wired in to how the SoCal physical urban infrastructure (especially the water system) worked. Maybe he’s one of your cousins.
Hope you are correct.
Years ago, I used to actually like Paul and thought that he had conviction. I have seen the light and realize that he is bought and paid for. He could have made a legitimate stand for what is right many times over the years but he has not.
Agreed. Paul, still upset when PDJT called him out on debate stage in 2016. What is he doing here with 2%? Never Trumper
Correct. First time anyone called him out.
if you didnt laugh. you were hostage to the fakeparties.
Cruz has buried the hatchet, likely hoping to receive a court nomination before it’s over.
Cruz is one of many who jumped on a large bandwagon and blamed PDJT for the violence in Chicago when PDJT attempted to have a rally in his first term.
Ted Cruz is of the Rino Sea Island club like many others and how Ted gets elected in Texas is a head scratcher unless he is getting help from the DS via fraud.
Sorry but a Canadian born or any foreign born individual should be as far from politics or a judicial bench as possible.
Herman Munster aka the Alberta Clipper is untrustworthy.
Trump won despite him.
He was a Canadian when a senator and running for president.
Right there with you, Mj. I appreciate his efforts to expose Fauci, and I respected him coming to my city to perform pro bono eye surgeries with a local ophthalmologist, but that’s it.
Which is more than you will ever do in your life to help people. But sure, continue to hate him and paint him with a wide brush as you are the judge and jury of him. Holier than holy and arrogant.
We “used to like”many a number of them until we travel around the block with them and notice patterns which are undeniable. Rand Paul is not his father. His father was consistent ALWAYS. I wonder though during Ron Pauls active days, he had the comfort of wider margins both for an against within which he could safely play staunchly.
I went to Open Secrets and he got a couple hundred Gs from hospitals and finance. Is that a lot? It doesn’t sound like it.
He talks big until it counts.
Precisely.
I wonder if Paul is savouring the irony of voting against this bill for his oft stated “muh principles” along with the reprehensible hypocrite Susan Collins who voted to keep illegal aliens on Medicaid (and still voted against it for whoever knows what her shallow “principles” are) which runs completely counter to the reason for his objection.
Politics makes for strange bedfellows…
Careful now. No fair peeking behind the curtains to see the tiny “Wizard” with a megaphone.
Rand is a dumbass that doesnt understand if you don’t spend your way out of the 4 year sabotage by Team Autopen then there will be no congress anymore. no country.
If they need funding it should be taken from the bloated mess that constitute all the other programs.
According to a recent poll, the majority of Collins’ constituents opposed the BBB. That’s the way she operates, which is not an illegitimate approach. Not her fault so many stupid people from New Jersey and Massachusetts moved to Maine.
According to recent polls Kamala was going to win the presidency……….
I’ll give you that, something I always consider when she votes. It has always been said, “Know your customers”.
Which she does…
Self preservation in her position has always been the number one consideration for her.
My problem has always been that she puts her job over her faith when it comes to abortion. She’s not demented or evil, so I just don’t understand that. But she did come through big time with Kavanaugh, which I think was a true act of conscience, so I think there is a moral compass there, and she’s not really the cynical politician a lot of people assume her to be.
That will be between her and God, castelleto, as it is for all of us.
I just got (one of hundreds weekly) a fundraiser text decrying the loss of the Senate if we don’t start sending in money to re-elect Susan Collins, our “only majority hope.”
How do we always find ourselves in a corner like this?
Screw her campaign.
The last time around an admitted socialist was running against her in the 2022 general election.
I just want to give her the boot and get a MAGA replacement.
Your problem is southern Maine. That, plus the dyed-in-the-wool Democrats that grew up in Franco-American, Catholic families. In the 1970’s, the northern NE states were targeted by the homosexual activists in the hopes of someday getting fake marriage in the books. I went to see Abbie Johnson the other night, and she called Portland “the gayest town I’ve ever seen.” And say what you will about homosexuals, their politics are terrible.
There will be no MAGA replacement in Maine. Maine is a deep blue state and continues to be as more and more voters from Mass moves there.
Is Susan looses a primary, the new senator will be a democrat and not a MAGA republican. It is no more complicated than that.
A question for the ages, Greg.
Cornyn no doubt will try the same scare tactic here in Texas. But this time, unlike others, we have had enough and have an able, patriotic MAGA candidate to replace him who is high double digits ahead of him on preliminary polling. Hoping that will hold.
In the end they are all political chameleons practicing political taqyyia.
Liars, in other words.
And we can’t fix that.
Nonsense..he is a virtue signalling egomaniac.
Cheers!
its like a huge ship parked by the titanic sinking, and saying it will cost a large sum to save you… and mr priciple saying we need to balance the Titanic budget first
Rand is a dumbass. People that like him have less information than those that dont like him.
sometimes I wonder if people wish we were still in lockdown and a vaccine was never created for voluntary consumption.
👍
…with a Napoleon Complex!
Any Republican not voting in favor of this is not a republican but a paid opposition shill. To vote in favor of increasing taxes on us after exposing through doge all the waste and fraud is not putting the American citizens first but his corporate masters.
Several voted against it because its loaded with pork and has over 2.5 trillion in deficit spending per year.
They didn’t make any actual cuts to spending despite their promises.
$1.2 trillion in this bill I believe
cuts to come in the future
I don’t know all the procedure rules
(and our congress certainly mostly do not either)
but I trust President Trump to get it done
and I am smart enough to know that it
would not get done in one bill
I don’t believe that amount is per year
HOW ELSE do you get the piece of shit passed with pieces of shit votes, if you dont bribe the pieces of shit
We know Congress and how corrupt it is, yet we put on naive fairy tale beliefs in how they should act.
they get bribed. they get lobbied. thy get things for themselves. thats how stuff gets done right now.
Spiritual darkness flourishes in capitols and high level decision making positions. Demonic activity thru witchcraft underpins that town and will use whomever is greedy enough. It’s most effective when it can use principled people to defeat the good.
The bill was stripped of any effective cost cutting thru Thune’s handpuppet Democrat parliamentarian. That’s all on Thune, another pointless Republican.
I’m backing the idea of the third party formation. Something has to shock these Luciferian republicans into the light. We’re getting virtually nothing out of them now.
I’m waiting on the scarttering of the federal offices.. to eliminate one mindset controlling the HQ’s od each…
Likely those who voted against it did it as a combination of kabuki and not simply meeting a threshold for buying their votes.
Did you read the whole bill or take someone’s word for it? As Doge and Treasurey continue cutting waste and fraud; without pawn-level judges allowed to play President anymore, it will balance out.
The return of hundreds of thousands of middle class jobs with higher wages than before will create a boom in tax revenue. We have not seen in at least five years. Supply side economics is the main difference that nobody you’re reading understands
Its not possible to grow the economy enough to make up for the debt we are adding per year.
Congress is spending like meth heads who have been handed a check book and have been for years.
Unless serious cuts are made we won’t even be able to afford to pay the bare minimum needed to keep social security, medicare going and the bare minimum interest rates in the debt by 2035.
Go up a couple articles and you’ll see how it actually is possible.
Yes its possible in theory to make the cuts.
But watch, they won’t because 99% of them are rinos.
As large as the bill is, there are limits to what this bill can do. To expect one bill to be the answer to everything wrong is misguided. This bill is for FY 2025, which started in October 2024. 9 months have already been completed…there is only so much they can do for the 3 months remaining.
There will be another reconciliation bill later this year for FY2026 and one next year for FY2027.
Plus, they have to deal with a Parliamentarian who can throw out items of the bill at will.
This is not like making a grocery shopping list and then going to the store. So many people think it is, though.
Paul was loosing and McConnel saved his campaign. I suspect he is beholden to the Rinos.
what career does he have after this… if he had to do dental work in secret with no bravos and hand claps – he wouldnt do it.
Ophthalmology.
“Rectal Occularity.”
A crappy outlook on life.
“losing”…. lol
This is what his role wants one to believe, just like Massie and others who inconveniently feign virtue after claiming to “hold their noses” when we didn’t want them to.
The entire Republic party is a disgrace and a fraud. They are full of the “between-the-eyes” corrupt-o-cratic dirtbags as well as the stealthier frauds like, Massie, Paul, et al.
Why do we expect them to elect a principled majority leader? Why do we bother with propping up this dirtbagorama?? Because Democrats? If this is how far the system has plunged then only God can determine what happens.
Rand Paul is a moron in my opinion
he does nothing for decades
then when the going gets tough
he stands on a table and yells “no, no, no!”
no vision whatsoever with that one
who is paying him?
No he’s not. He’s beholden to his benefactors just like the rest of them. If he doesn’t rubber stamp, we did he not vote for senate recess during Trump’s first term?
Rand Paul is the Joe Manchin of the GOP.
he doesnt want his a$$ beat again in his front yard.
thats why he is in line.
Yawwwnnn
Self importamt showoff.
Remember when he pushed back against the Rinos and voted to let the senate go in recess so trump could make appoinments he really needed …. oh yeah me neither.
No. He just rubber stamps whatever the Democrats say
Which is why he’s a grifter?
Murkoski. Illegally in office, IMHO.
Easier to make a list of senators who don’t belong in the group. There might be one or two, but that’s iffy.
May they soon join their mentor John McCain.
I bet before election time, he will decide to run.
No doubt. At which time, he will attempt to pretend his fraudulent nature are his “principles”
Tillis is ‘self deporting’. Would really like to see Rand, Collins and Murkowski out.
I was thinking along those lines yesterday. Then I had another thought.
Things are moving along pretty good.
McCain, Romney Feinstein, Tester, Cornin, Turtle, Tillis, Menendez and maybe some others on the ropes that I am missing.
Durbin
Dream big and let’s hope Tom Cotton slips on a banana peak and has to “not seek re election”!
Unfortunately, “the party” breeds new ones. Very few get in without “training and conditioning”. They are assigned a role to play.
Tillis payout must have been big in order for him to no longer need his senate gig.
K Street pays pretty well. Especially if Tillis gets to keep any security clearance he may have.
Don’t forget that someone offered huge money for Kari Lake to bow out.
Collins, Murkowski, Tillis and Graham would be good. Paul isn’t the worst by far.
Did Rand stand up and call out Thune on surrendering on the parliamentarian bs? No. He won’t take on the fight when it’s in his court.
Alaska could do better than Murkowski. Maines politics probably means just another Collins or a Democrat. Kentucky is a wild card and really should do better than either McConnell or Rand.
I used to think Alaska was full of independent, pragmatic, frontier types. You’d think they’d be Conservative.
After visiting a few times and seeing them re-elect Murkat, I think it’s more like New Mexico: where the fringe crazy Liberals flocked to escape the law or civilization. Lot of poor, government subsidized people (aka Democrats).
Murkowski was appointed by her daddy, stayed in the Senate on his name, was losing badly to Palin so the PTB switched to ranked choice voting and ran alot of Democrats disguised as Republicans against Palin to dilute the vote and keep Murkowski in office. Despite the government hand out types Alaska could do better in a fair election.
Murkowski lost the primary in 2010 against Tea Party candidate Joe Miller, so she ran as a write in candidate in the general. So much for accepting the results of an election?
A bigger and more beautiful bill would have only been four pages. Page one – tax cuts. Page 2 – north and south wall. Page 3 – no welfare of any kind to illegals. Page 4 – spending at 2017 levels with all DOGE employees taking over internal audit at all agencies.
Page 3 amendment: 95% tax on all remittances to foreign countries
Page 3; a bounty of $500 to any American citizen who points out the location of any illegal invaders.
Or $400 and you keep the hide.
how do you get the polticians to vote for that
reality verus wishes.
they are corrupt. corrupt people are swayed by bribes.
Theater of the absurd.
The theater never ends.
Politics is theater for the ugly.
Time for Thune to fire the Parliamentarian. Harry Reid appointed her in 2011.
I’d like to see what she struck from some of Obama’s or Biden’s bills, if anything.
The time was Jan 20, 2025. That no Republican saw this coming is just not true. Someone wanted or needed her for a reason.
I agree. Once BBB was in process, it was too late.
But do it before the next appropriations bill.
Fall guy for what was in or out od the BBB.
exactly. no pretending. she was a King unelected to govern us.
Harry Reid appointed

The Budget Reconciliation Process:
The Senate’s “Byrd Rule”
Updated September 28, 2022
thee freaking KKK rule is being used against us. complete irony.
this is the year of the victim role dying.
and guess who created her place..
KKK Byrd.
Now that would be interesting. She has no power really and can be removed at any time. Why they listened to her this time is obvious. Thune wouldn’t want to risk being bad mouthed as the guy who removed this woman for political reasons. He would have gotten blasted for it. Too chicken and too hungry to keep his cushy place right where he is.
True.
But now that BBB is passed, it’s a little easier to do it. No obvious, immediate reason.
and just think….all the Repubs and Trump needed to do to get Rand’s vote was just say no to debt ceiling increase.
and who needs a debt ceiling increase anyway…..
we bring in SO MUCH from tariffs, and SO MUCH has been cut from spending. LMFAO
Tax cuts are a debt ceiling increase. And the ceiling is irrelevant when the true economy will operate away from this.
The ceiling was irrelevant when they spent $5 trillion for ‘covid relief” too. When is the last time the government quit spending when they hit the debt ceiling limit? It is an automatic raise or both sides whine the government will shut down and we will get blamed. The debt limit is a bad drama tv show.
they want responsibility when a President is in office that cares for America.
its selective subversion – hiding among platitudes.
What happened to cutting spending ?
Looking at what they passed, it will add another 2.5 trillion or more to the debt per year.
This is a reconciliation bill, it is NOT an appropriations (discretionary) bill, which is how government operations are funded on an annual basis.
Thank You.
And once passed this sets the stage for rescission process, and start to get rid of incremental baseline budgeting insanity by beating that drum in the news cycle
Rescissions could then be used to claw back unspent funds from outdated or unwanted programs, requiring only a simple majority vote in both chambers.
The GAO and DOGE could provide analysis highlighting programs that are no longer effective, like they’ve done in past ….. with reports on wasteful spending.
so far there’s over $9 billion in low hanging fruit to start….not trillions but the 1st steps in a 1000 mile journey…..
We didn’t get here overnight.
The rational explanation that unfortunately no one hears especially the public. They hear the hype and the crying and the criticism but have no idea what the bill really does.
Communication to the people is just awful on these gigantic bills that nobody could wade through unless it was their job. Political propaganda is running wild on all this and very few, like you and thank you, are explaining what it all really means and how it can work favorably for the people and country. It’s a shame really how little we understand about our govt. and what they do.
And con-gress has designed bills to be so convoluted that one’s head spins…”Section V is to take effect unless strictly prohibited in Section X(1)(B)(c)(9)(i) or Sections strictly prohibited by the 1842 Rake Them Over The Coals Act or…”. All by design.
“I’m just a bill, yes, I’m only a bill, and I’m sitting here on Capitol(al) Hill…”
Schoolhouse Rock! – 1976
CJ
Thank YOU.
I 2nd that emotion on the communication ….but as you allude to, the public’s (I include myself) eyes begin to glaze over at the mention of “the/a bill” … so it’s tough…..Trump is really special in that EVERYBODY he picked checks all the boxes ( looks, verbal skills, competence) to facilitate messaging and OWN….. (not just hold their own against) the MSM/deepstate propaganda machine.
I hope I’m right in my perception of the ultimate strategy….. we’ve been treading along the slippery razor edge of the abyss economically and socially since Obama…..maybe longer ….. we CAN’T mess this up, but we cant fix it in one BBB either…
Yes and it will be done by Congress which means no suing in district courts on funding cuts.
Excellent summary, Clayton. Rescissions would be nice, but I won’t hold my breath. I truly believed in closing the carried interest loophole and raising taxes on those earning more than 1 million dollars a year.
Remember 26 GOP Senators voted against codifying the DOGE cuts. 26 is almost half of the GOP in the Senate. The BBB was a VERY HEAVY LIFT. Baby stepping to a balanced budget.
The McDonough oversight was no oversight. Hope springs eternal,.midterms are coming, God willing, the GOP will posture as budget hawks this cycle and make rescissions happen. I would LOVE to be proven wrong.
I’m actually with you on the tax thingy’s …I can’t imagine whats going on in the minds of the 26 ….I dont fully understand what all of the potential reasons might be for nays on MOST of the DOGE cuts….
My hope is that we clear this 1st hurdle (even if we have to settle for 85% of a loaf) and afterwards most of Trumps myriad OTHER puzzle pieces (AND A FEW DIPLOMATIC TRIUMPHS) fit as intended, making ANY dissent on the bench (lockeroom) essentially FATAL politically as Trump et al is proven to have been right YET AGAIN.
Yes in the reconciliation process Trump can cut much spending after the bill is passed. It is the only way to get a bill not 100% Democrats policies passed.
Also keep mind all the government’s assumptions and numbers are BS anyway. Only revised numbers come anywhere near the truth. The National debt is also real, but the politicians have never cared about that number.
Please entertain us as to how YOU would convince the Dems and RINOs to cut a trillion or two from MANDATORY spending each year 😎
Oh…you were aware, right, that this reconciliation bill could ONLY address MANDATORY spending, right?
Which it cuts none of.
And watch the reconciliation process, they will refuse to cut anything there as well because its all kabuki with both sides having the same pacs/special interest groups backing them.
Well, I think ballpark we are currently around $1.7 trillion in strictly cuts…. and yes both sides DO have special interest constituents and…..more importantly, lobbyists and LOBBYING CONGLOMERATES. …but don’t discount the hobbling of NGO’s and incredible potential for clawbacks/savings that were synergistic with lobbying efforts.
PT plans on growing the economy so much so that he will actually be able to pay debt down along with tariffs…….JNO but he will have the spending argument at a future point but it was in his mind more important to get the bill past because it funds his whole deal of priorities….agree or disagree …
To make up the difference they would have to double the size of the economy.
That kind of growth is not possible.
monthly tariff revenue currently sits at 36 billion (zerohedge.com), look at the bigger picture and packages, bills yet to be passed… 432 billion annual tariff revenue and The President’s tariff negotiators have many deals yet to be signed, sealed and delivered.
Why do you care so much about cutting spending..
if you pretend its because thee countrry will collapse from debt..
do you not see the country will collapse now at its current path without what PDJT wants to do (And it needs MONEY to do it)
If what you said is true then we are screwed either way.
As for funding things, the government is bloated they could pull the funding from other things and still cover what needs to be done.
But they won’t because DC is ran on corruption.
So enjoy the decline because at the rate of spending we won’t even be able to pay the bare minimums needed to keep social security, medicare and the bare minimum on the debt’s interest going by 2035.
Nothing motivates the Swamp/UniParty like the potential to miss some vacation time…
And money.
Too bad, so sad.
The names of the uniparty bills are deceptive.
Should call it the big compromise beauty is in the eye of the lobbists bill. BCBIEOLB
🤨
Git’r’done
Let’s get it on!
Can someone think of a US President who’s had a more successful two weeks, both home and abroad, I’m struggling.
ALL Republicans own this bill, don’t kid yourself. The next year+ will be interesting.
Seems Murkowski is trying to avoid that ownership.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/07/speaker-johnson-vows-quickly-pass-trumps-big-beautiful/
Do these Senators now just go on some kind of summer recess? What a life!
Hey!
The less time they spend in DC, the less chance they have to screw us over!
MORE vacation time for these clowns, not less!
Good point. Better if it becomes a permanent vacation. Less politicians, better country. One day, maybe!
Susan Collins signaled her support of freeloading illegals on Medicare by slapping her large flat tail on the pond.
Pres. Trump can thwart this by reducing the number of illegals.
Senate doesn’t want to get repaired. They want to stay fixed, as in neutered.
Loved the visual! 🤣
Medicaid
Thanks for the heads-up. I meant Medicaid and typed Medicare.
Now we get to listen to the House “Freedom Caucus” throw another hissy fit over the spending. Has there ever been a more useless group of prima donnas? There constant complaining and obstinance may have been fine in the minority but they make governing with a slim majority nearly impossible. I expect the OBBB to FAIL in the House because of these purists who haven’t accomplished one iota of deficit reduction since their inception during the Tea Party days.
Many are never Trumpers….keep that in mind.
People who have done the math are actually worried about how much is being spent every year.
By 2035 we wont be able to afford the bare minimum payments to social security, medicare and the interest on the debt let alone all the other government spending.
This was Biden’s budget. Where was the worry then??
And this budget only managed to shift funding around instead of make serious cuts, so the problem remains.
All of the doom and gloom require
1. 0 gdp growth ( find a year with 0 growth).
2. Tariffs to be ignored
3. An assumption that existing tax cuts would have expired with no negative inpact on the GDP.
4. That interest will stay stupid high.
In other words Democratic Fantasy land
No it just requires deficit spending to continue on the path it has for the last 2 decades.
Feel free to look up the numbers at USdebtclock.
I think ZCKS works for the Congressional Budget Office.
Social Security is it’s own separate fund (Ponzi scheme) it has nothing to do with this bill. Life expectancy going up and fertility rate and family size going down made it all to predictable. Letting in people like teachers, farmers and immigrants that never paid the required quarters and making it a disability fund doomed Social Security from the start. And don’t forget that ‘money’ in the fund is a bunch of Congressianal IOU’s because Congress has already stolen all the money from the fund.
This is not just a US problem, it is a world wide problem brought on by WW2 deaths and the boom in babies to replenish populations after all the war deaths. China because of its one child policy has a worse problem. Japan and South Korea also are in serious trouble.
Social security requires funding from the general fund because as you pointed out its a ponzi scheme.
As is it and medicare are over 100 trillion in the red and require borrowing well over 1 trillion per year to keep kicking the can down the road.
A number that is going to exponentially increase over the next decade.
Tillis, Collins and Paul were demonstrating the dark art of reaching across the aisle. They are a credit to the UniParty Deep State Species.
Paul was throwing a hissy-fit about the debt ceiling. He was in favor of the bill had it contained a lower debt ceiling number.
Tillis is a tool. His reasons for opposition never made sense. But he didn’t care — he was “sticking it” to Trump.
Collins is a Democrat. Why she continues to be in the GOP is a real mystery.
McCain-ites. The most detestable “Republican” in my lifetime. Mr Maverick knew how to Lucy the Football when his vote was most needed. We would not be factoring in Obamacare expenses now if that twit hadn’t effed us over.
No HPA or SHORT in it. If I’m going to get porked with pork I’d at least like to get something out of it.
So they want to keep sending American’s hard earned tax dollars to welfare for folks who are here illegally? All the more reason to send ALL folks here illegally out.
When it comes to economics, basically there are three groups in Congress:
Republicans who want to cut taxes,
Republicans who want to cut the deficit,
Democrats who want to spend, spend, spend.
That is a very difficult to resolve conflict within the Republican party.
Respectfully, I think it’s more accurate to say that there’s one group in Congress-the UniParty.
As Sundance, Dutchman and others have said, the left flank of the UniParty craves power while the right flank craves money.
They all favor bigger government with more regulations (which is a whole species of taxation unto itself).
They all favor limiting our God-given individual liberties.
They all despise President Trump and his MAGA supporters.
They all are diametrically opposed to the eternal truths stated in our founding document-the Declaration of Independence.
Please don’t make the mistake of thinking RepubliCons are more virtuous than DemonCrats. They aren’t. They all belong to the same club-and we ain’t in it.
May God Bless Dutchman.
Preach it brother!
Democrats also want to increase taxes. Remember Schumer calling you greedy for not wanting to pay more in taxes.
President Trump got a couple of wins with passing the BBB and the nationwide injunctions ruling. Neither is perfect as the BBB has debt issues and AI issues; the nationwide injunctions will be replaced by class action suits. President Trump watched as they tinkered around with his bill eliminating some good things but ultimately it was more beneficial than bad. Anxious to see what he’s able to do now that he has his bill and doesn’t have to placate Senate Rinos. Go Trump Go!!
He doesn’t have it yet.
Hopefully, someone like Sundance will read the final bill, and tell us the people (by name and state) that added tons of pork to the bill, and MAGA will work to replace them with real MAGA people.
We will have NAMES/States of the people we need to replace.
Massie might be having second thoughts….
https://kaplanstrategies.com/2025/06/30/massie-in-trouble-among-republican-primary-voters-as-he-seeks-reelection/
The BBB would increase deficit spending by about $400 billion per year in the next three years:
https://x.com/RepThomasMassie/status/1925494110288331073
How many times do Kevin Hassett and Howard Lutnick have to go on tv and explain this? Tariff income is not included. DOGE cuts must come later in separate bills. Tax cuts and deregulation will increase investment and raise GDP. We can come back and cut more later, especially if the GOP will stop stepping on its own Johnson and ride a rising economic tide to the midterms, giving us a greater advantage over the Dems in Congress. But don’t pass this bill? The 60% tax hike will absolutely wreck the economy.
everyone that can know should know by now
Massie and the guy he is quoting in that tweet are relying on the CBO STATIC scoring to come up with their numbers.
They totally ignore the effect of economic growth resultant from the huge tax advantages in this bill, like expensing and making the 2017 rates permanent.
Recall that when the Trump tax rate cuts were proposed in his first term, CBO predicted huge deficits. But guess what? Didn’t happen because tax revenues grew like the DYNAMIC analysis claimed.
So all the people that dems claimed were being remobes from medicare all het what tiffany key chains as parting gifts..
Sorry i am tired of the three card monte thats being played.
It seems most forhet.this was written by trumps team before he was elected. In order to creaye leverage within the agentcies.
For background see OMB directors pre-election interview with Tucker. There is a plan in place watch amd see.
Late empire…. 😔
What a shame that we had so few votes on our side. have you noticed that bipartisan is only on one side of the aisle? Of course, the republicans who vote against are usually in states where they are elected by democrats too. Probably more so than republicans. That should end.
ALL the hype regarding the role of the Parliamentarian and report posted here on CTH demonstrating “bi-partisan” actions of the Parliamentarian since 2012 is a load of BS.
Anything stated by the Parliamentarian is a smoke screen for inaction or to hide some other House or Senate action.
Every single penny impacted by the Parliamentarian’s decisions could be later DIVERTED via reprogramming authority to the very causes that were denied direct funding and inclusion as a line item in a spending BILL y a Parliamentarian’s findings.
That is exactly what happened with funds originally authorized for State and Federal spending packages and grants … covering:
MEDICAID (Gee the illegals getting Medicaid was removed)
COVID emergency Funds (the COVID emergency is still in effect)
Medicare (States expanding coverage to refugees)
CA Land management money
CA Bullet Train Money
Department of Education Money
Name the USAID Project Money
SBA money
Name it Federally Funded projects a state Controls
DoD Budget Lines (Expanded Ukraine aid)
There are literally 1,000’s of Budget Line items in any type of Budget BILL one cares to name that can be used, so long as the authority is built into to Budget Bill to MOVE the money.
Plus it is an “ADVISORY ROLE” not covered by the Constitution that can be IGNORED.
You are making a big, but natural, mistake in your analysis.
Most of the funds you highlight as examples are from DISCRETIONARY spending subject to the annual appropriations process.
This reconciliation bill is PROHIBITED from addressing discretionary funds — it can only address MANDATORY spending like SS, Medicare, interest on the debt etc. These are NOT “budgetary line items”.
Pretty disgusting that Lisa Murkowski may have killed the bill even though she voted yes. I read that she demanded a doubling of funding for rural hospitals for her vote and now she says the house should send it back to the senate for more work.
Was this an intentional poison pill? The other thing that grates me is all the talk a week ago from the senate about spending increases and adding to the deficit, and they actually did it more than the original bill!
If this goes back to the senate with changes, who knows what will happen. Apparently Speaker Johnson is wrangling the herd as we speak. We’ll see.
Does the House have to send it back just for her? If so then pass it just as it is and work on things that are not great after it passes and in other ways.
No.
The House has 2 choices:
1) Pass it as is from Senate. Bill then goes to President’s desk.
2) Insist on changes in Senate version. If they follow this route, then they have to vote on it, and if it passes, it has to go to Senate where they get to vote on it again.
#2 is very risky. #1 gets it done.
What does Trump want?
Three things:
Build “The Great Wall” and weld the border shut forever, if possible.
He wants to borrow a few trillion and invest it in America, not playing a board game, putting a bunch of chips on whimsy like climate change, but busting open the energy piggy bank in partnership with the most successful businessmen and women on the planet. Successful civilizations will always be plutocratic. The question facing our future is whether to be ethical or evil.
Third, I think he wants to lift the American people out of ignorance and poverty. A nation is not a government or a central bank; it is its future generations.
The Ugly Baby bill must remove the provision that hands welfare benefits to illegal aliens…. majority in the House supported this, but the left hack parliamentarian nixed it in the senate. Onward and upward to restoring our immigration laws, the Constitution and law and order.
Godspeed
its about the number of house seats via census of undocumented illegals.
no dem would agree to losing their seat.
its a non starter.
Swamp funding remains intact.
Was naming this K Street debauchery “The Big Beautiful Bill” some kind of marketing thing?
Will we find out in 2 years some guy in Estonia was still getting rich and Billion$ were stolen like that first Covid Bill?
Maybe we’ll get more than 18 months out of 4 years of “great economic numbers” before the next plandemic of cyberattack…
Schumer just made some kind of motion to not allow it to be called the BBB. Petty Chuckie strikes again.
are drill baby drill bill coming up will be called Climate Change
Big Beautiful Bill is a take-off on Biden’s Build Back Better, aka Build Back Bankrupt.
hopefully he is using this bill to get his weapons to confront global leaders targeting us ( his leverage)
the bribes and BS in the bill is irrelevant if he is arming up. give to get. then circle back.
So, now that that’s done does the Senate go into recess? Hmmmm? Can some appointments be made?
But all the good stuff was removed by the leftist senate parliamentarian!
All we got was a pork filled pile of crap! I guess that’s what we call winning!
Well some people call it winning but I sure don’t call it winning. Don’t want to hear complaining when the all the terrible stuff in this bill is inflicted on the American people.
My family is winning today – no tax cuts for us. Our impact from this bill as constructed is just about nil.
Sorry for those folks that will be losing things. Rural hospitals may get whacked.
As my 14 year-old says – “tots and pears”.
Again — please grace us with your plan for how to get what YOU want thru a Senate where “our side” has only a 3 vote majority — and even that majority depends on a rather large herd of RINOs 🙂
So many don’t understand how our government works. The President is not a king or dictator no matter what the Democrats say. It is all about compromise. The problem is Republicans always compromise with the Democrats and the Democrats never compromise with the Republicans. So which party is the stupid party? You know the answer.
We are winning– many/most parts of the MAGA agenda are in the bill that passed the Senate. Here are just a few examples:
—-2017 tax cuts were ready to expire end of this year. Senate bill makes the tax cuts permanent otherwise we’d all be facing a major tax increase next year
—-BBB provides a large tax deduction for seniors
—–BBB defunds wind and solar and EV subsidies
—–BBB funds our immigration agenda including finishing The Wall and mass deportations
Utter nonsense!
This thing is still STUFFED with “good stuff”!
It is NOT just “pork fill crap”.
Your histrionics are silly…………
Thank you!
Funny. I never saw such protestations on CTH before when Mitch McConnell supported all those thousand times worse porkulus funding bills.
As some of you have observed, the BBB is not the same conservative megabill it was before reaching the RINO-infested Senate, but note that none of the signature America First elements have been removed, whether on taxes, border security, or welfare work requirements, to name a few.
I think we understood that if the bill had to take a ride through the swamp, and Alligator Alcatraz has nothing on the U.S. Senate, that it would get muddied up, but it’s time to take the win, regroup, and continue the fight from a better baseline than the one we started with.
God bless the United States, this fight is only getting started!
J
In other words — DON’T LET PERFECT BE THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD 🙂
BBB
Ted Cruz kept school choice in…
BBB
Senate bill cut spending more than house bill…
House members need to avoid making the perfect the enemy of the good.
The GOP has very thin margins in both Chambers of Congress. And those margins require RINO support.
AT THIS POINT IN TIME — and given the realities of political “give and take”……….I sure hope that those in the House who have reservations and want to modify this again understand that any mods they make could likely trigger a couple of the RINOs like Murkowski to vote no — and even one more GOP no vote in the Senate kills it.
Most of us don’t like some of the things in the bill or removed from the bill. But on balance, this thing contains an awful lot of very good to excellent things that would never….ever….have a chance in the Senate if subjected to a filibuster.
Want to do better? Then win more elections so that we don’t have to rely on RINOs to pass stuff!
I trust Stephen Miller.
He is a MAGA fighter!
You guys will like this one….

Senator Eric Schmitt
@SenEricSchmitt
The Big Beautiful Bill kicks 1.4 MILLION illegal immigrants off Medicaid. For too long, Americans have been paying for the welfare of people who shouldn’t even be in our country. Today, the Senate voted to end that. And yes—this DID make it into the final draft of the bill. 🧵
2/. Yesterday, there were a lot of rumors floating around about the ban on Medicaid for illegal aliens being stripped from the bill.
Thankfully, that’s not true. It’s very much in the bill we just passed.
You can look it up below. Page 602. Section 77109.

I am a little more skeptical than some of you.
It STARTS with illegal immigrants…
Here are the 19 Republicans who voted for Biden’s bloated obscenity, called the “infrastructure” bill in 2021. You’ll notice a couple of familiar names. The Thom Tillis vote is particularly hilarious given his recent criticisms of Trump’s BBB..
We got treated to months of delays because Republican Senators fight harder against Republican presidents than they do against Democrats.
Good news – most of those folks are up for re-relection next year.
Or gone already like Romney. But John Curtis, who replaced him, is only marginally better.
That’s a very risky gambit consider how well the country is doing right now.
We are never going to get a balanced budget with a divided Congress. This is the best we could get because anything else would take 60% of the vote…not going to happen. All we can do is shift money around to best promote a conservative agenda, kick 20 million illegals out and save money from that, find more waste, fraud & abuse and get Congress’ help to eliminate it and hope the tariffs and more business results in more revenue than was estimated. That’s the reason I supported this big beautiful? bill.
This bill is big and has the potential to be beautiful. I say that because Trump is betting the farm, and I mean the whole farm, on America outpacing the clear inflation this will create from the raising of the debt ceiling and spending.
What I hope is that this doesn’t ultimately be overtaken by the large corporations who suck the money out of every bill and leave nothing for small business owners and the middle class.
It’s a big bet. And I think its probably the only bet that we have left.
This is likely somewhere near the best MAGA can get at this point.
Frankly given the amount of CCP and CIA cartel compromised representatives, I’m surprised we got this far.
Politics is the art of the possible.
We must find a way to improve the integrity of the election system before 2026.
Job 1 is to finally get some indictments into Congress based on nothing more than comparing bank records to tax returns.
Job 2 is to run MAGA in the primaries to remove RINOs and Marxists alike.
After it is signed, I hope President Trump will end the Federal mandate that 87 octane (regular gas) must have 10% ethanol. Make Gasoline Great Again.
That would require reducing farm subsidies. Farm subsidies are why we have Big AG. Big AG buys a lot of politicians.
We can chip away at those subsidies with rescission bills, once the BBB is signed by President Trump.
Ideal? not really, but we have to work on that one a piece at a time as that is much easier to do politically.
5150 also happens to be the title of a killer Van Halen album.
Correction: Van Hagar album.
Stock Market up big!
Don’t let demands for perfection undo all the good this bill does!

Trump wants his signature bill passed. Musk says: “Vote yes, and you’re done.”
The Senate’s response? 🔥Not exactly shaking.
