The NPT non-nuclear-weapon states agree never to acquire nuclear weapons and the NPT nuclear-weapon states in exchange agree to share the benefits of peaceful nuclear technology and to pursue nuclear disarmament aimed at the ultimate elimination of their nuclear arsenals.
This means that Iran IS allowed to enrich Uranium up to a certain percentage, but not over it.
Because the US has made a current demand that Iran have NO nuclear program at all, it is my belief that Iran will pull out of the NPT and continue with their enrichment program. If that happens, the IAEA will not be inspecting Iran’s nuclear sites and we won’t know where the new ones are.
The possibly also exists that the Iranian people will finally throw out the mullahs and their country’s nuclear insanity will be a thing of the past.

Basically, they are telling the Iranian theocracy to cease all actions it has predicated its raison d’etre upon for those same 40 years. There’s no way for the Iranian regime to wiggle out of that. Iran’s Fordow nuclear site did not suffer any serious damage in the attack launched by the US, Fars news agency reported on Sunday, citing MP Mohammad Manan Raisi from Qom Province where the facility is located.
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan nuclear sites were “completely and totally obliterated” in the American strikes overnight.
Raisi told the agency that “contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged, and most of what was damaged was only on the ground level and can be restored.”
The lawmaker described the effect of the American bombing as “superficial,” stating further that there were no fatalities and no radiation leaks at the site afterward.
“This US aggression means that America is directly entering the war, and now it is Iran that determines how and in what way to respond to this obvious American stupidity,” Manan Raisi insisted.
Pentagon details Iran strikes
Reuters reported earlier, citing an unnamed high-ranking Iranian official, that most of the enriched uranium had been moved from Fordow to an undisclosed location before the US strike.
Iran’s Center for the National Nuclear Safety System confirmed the attack on the country’s nuclear facilities, but said that emergency inspections at the affected sites had found no signs of radioactive contamination or leaks.
The International Atomic Energy Agency also said later that no increase in radiation levels had been reported at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Sunday accusing the US of launching an “illegal military attack on the peaceful nuclear facilities” in coordination with Israel, and in violation of the UN Charter and international law.

A very good friend, deceased recently, was on the last plane out of Trahan. Carter closed US airspace to planes leaving Trahan and were given permission by Canada to land in Toronto. Yeah, I worked in the Chevron, Shell and Mobil fields in the 70’s, mostly steaming them, repairing the natural gas compressors and pump rods for the wells.
Never saw a woman back then. Heck, I can’t recall ever seeing a female machinist during my 40 or so years in that business either. My mom had a union machinist card but that was from building bombers at Consolidated.
The oilfields I worked in were largely dead after the 80’s until 45 started drill baby drill then a few rigs came back but that died again during Covid and never came back AFAIK.

Given the tanker matrix and American importation of oil from the region which passes through the Strait, apparently quite minimal, it appears it will be other countries, with China looming large among them, which will be impacted directly.
Will it be an excuse for oil prices to rise domestically? The market will decide. We, ultimately, choose. Last time I was at the fuel depot was in May of 2024. I made a choice. Will prices of products rise? Certainly possible. Consumers have choices in what and how much, or little, they consume.

The problem the US has dealing with any jihadist state is that there is no common ground at all. From the point of view of jihadist states, they are commanded by Allah to conquer and destroy all non-Muslim countries and turn them into part of the global caliphate. A jihadist country has Sharia law by which it must abide, and has been commanded by Allah NOT to comply with any other system of justice. Thus international law, international codes of conduct or international justice simply does not apply to them, as they see it.
So how is it possible to get a peace agreement between the US and a jihadist country? It is not possible, no matter what threats you make. The government of the US is not only not Allah, it is a threat to all that they live for, which is to submit to the will of Allah, not to the will of any other system of justice or any other country.
So there is no possibility of peace talks leading to anything but perhaps their willingness to attend and lie, fabricate, and then arrogantly refuse all peace offerings. They even might appear to “accept” a peace offering, but they will not act on it or carry out their part of the bargain, because lying and subterfuge are what Allah commands Muslims when dealing with the infidel.
I wish these facts about Islam would be spoken by our entire government, and leave in the dust pretenses that Islam is somehow a religion just like Christianity and Judaism. It is nothing of the sort. It is a totalitarian system of submission to Allah. You either submit or you are made a dhimmi or you can be killed. Non-Muslims in the UK are now dhimmis, second class citizens. This is coming to the US unless we start recognizing the enemy and recognizing that we have invited the enemy into our country, we have welcomed them with open arms, and they are here, ready to conquer us.
I am concerned that the Iranians got enough enriched uranium out of Fordow for a dirty bomb to be given to the Houthis or Hezbollah or for other purposes, and I am concerned that the CCP or Russia will help Iran rebuild their nuclear program.
That is why regime change is being hoped for in Israel. As long as this totalitarian death cult is in charge of Iran, they may just rebuild their program and continue their world wide terrorism against Israel and the US.
