It is scary to think about the sleeper cells, that does concern me. I was thinking about that when it was first reported he consulted no one in congress.
First, Iran had already provided all the justification he needed, and POTUS had already informed the whole world what he was going to do and in what time he was going to decide (in the next two weeks – and he did). He announced his decision with a bang.
Most important, let them come after him for not sharing with him first, and force him to give his reasons under oath for why nearly every one of them are compromised and not trustworthy to be given secrets that would compromise the safety of the mission if told. Most Republicans and every Democrat.

It’s really a non-issue. Iran can’t be stopped from getting nukes if they really want them. And they’re much more likely to really want them now. Such a huge misstep by Mossad/CIA/ MI6, IMO, but this is existential for the British and they will pull all the hidden strings they have hold of.
That said, outcomes are very binary here and this could work out well for the West. We’ll see. A lot depends on the resiliency of Iran and that’s unquantifiable and unpredictable.
