Hopefully these are the political stunts that will force the reluctant hand of Attorney General Pam Bondi to intervene. Criminal arrests and federal prosecutions of politicians pulling these stunts are needed.
New York City Comptroller Brad Lander locked arms with an illegal alien as immigrations officials were removing the target for deportation. Lander purposefully interfered in a federal apprehension of a criminal alien, and should be prosecuted.
The media are selectively showing a portion of the video after Lander is handcuffed by police. However, in the earlier segment below you can clearly see Mr Lander intentionally locking arms with the target in an effort to stop ICE enforcement from taking custody. WATCH:

Footage and video of the hectic incident is firing up the third-place candidate’s suddenly energetic campaign, as he shows himself taking on an issue that’s central to President Donald Trump’s political agenda.
“I’m not obstructing, I’m standing right here in the hallway. I asked to see the judicial warrant,” the candidate says in the video.
Lander, the New York City comptroller, was at 26 Federal Plaza in downtown Manhattan on Tuesday morning to observe an immigration hearing when he walked out of the courtroom locking arms with a Yoruba-speaking immigrant, according to Lander’s wife, Meg Barnette. (more)

They are subject to an administrative procedure in the Article I “Immigration Court”. The authority is 8 USC 1229a. The charging document is not a warrant; rather a “Notice to Appear”. Failure to appear can be grounds for “removal”. Removal orders can be stayed pending appeal. If/when the court issues a final removal order ICE can take them into custody if needed prior to deportation.
How can anyone who sees the behavior of the left consider it a good thing?

Mr. Lander, as a citizen, gets to appear before a court to determine if “due process” includes free room and board for a time.

I was detained for having one letter wrong in my passport versus ETA (electronic travel authority)
…..in Australia. The airline, United, did my ETA (wrong) but I got detained while it was straightened out. It took over an hour but finally was done. That was in Melbourne. My other trips to Sydney and Melbourne, both before and after, were without incident.
BTW, too old to emigrate to Australia at the time. I looked into it. Glad they didn’t want me. Place has gone to shyte.
