I know more than a few of us were here on these pages discussing Donald Trump in June of 2015 when he announced his intention to run for the Republican presidential nomination.
Many of you might even remember my initial reaction to Trump’s announcement, “Donald Trump could show up to the GOP debate in 5-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and start twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, and I’d still support him.”
All of those years taking apart the republican party strategy and their illusion of choice, for me the #1 signal that Donald Trump was a legit outsider came from his placement in the announcement. President Trump was the last candidate to announce entry; all the other candidates were in place before he announced. That datapoint told me he was for real.
Donald Trump personifies EVERYTHING the liberal left hate – the media will attack Trump with exponentially greater Alinsky force than they did Sarah Palin; and only Trump has the moxy to win against them: (LINK)
So, when did you join the Trump train?

I rarely comment, but some us have been here way longer than ten yers…
Best deep weeds site on the planet right here…
There is none better.
This is not an opinion. It is a fact, backed up by over 10 years of close observation and consensus throughout social circles.
He was obviously not uniparty from the start and he said things all other pols are programmed not to say.
That’s all I needed to know to get on-board.
Amen, 100% correct/truth.
Also, I was on the Trump Train after the first debate. Felt GREAT to hear common sense and zero fear from speaking the TRUTH!!
Glad you are here!
And I really do know how to spell years, poor vision and old age…
Kinda like “yers”
BLESSINGS
Yeah, same here.
I Joined the Trump Train because of his speech that day because is he literally put his life and sacred honor on the line to lead this country. Never since our Founding Fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence have we had a man like this to lead us. What an incredible human being. With all he has faced he has never wavered and neither have or will I.
Agree completely!
First site I’ve ever commented in, love communicating with many here, and nowhere else have I been informed as thoroughly with backup fact and felt a greater sense of satisfaction that my history background is solid and has served me well.
Knew Pres Trump was the real deal when almost every female teacher I worked with turned from me when I refused support for their chosen candidate. I couldn’t understand their blind loyalty this candidate simply because she was a woman. And THAT woman.
So ok, that, and the fact that he speaks ‘American’ He understands the American condition so completely.
No other candidate or politician I’ve seen has done that quite as well or as authentically. He may not be the best public speaker in the world, but it’s what he says that matters
And ,my support was confirmed yet again when he was in that McDonalds drive-in. What an American moment. The BEST!!!
The third time I heard Donald Trump speaking after he descended the golden moving stairs, I believed we were witnessing the real deal.
Love MY President ❣️
Since 2016. I originally liked him because he said he’d do away with the mandate, the requirement to buy insurance or face a fine. Him bringing us out of banker wars was the other reason.
I was a believer when he came down that elevator.
My Hubby and I from the moment he went down the escalator and announced…
Slightly familiar with his books like… Why We Want You to Be Rich…and others, proved that Trump would make decisions for the real people.
We also knew how impossible it was to get anything built in this country. Our closest big city is falling apart and my hubby being a civil engineer and once involved in that city government knew Trump was the only one running for president who could turn the mess around. The fact Trump built what he did in those big cities proved his ability.
AS the 2016 campaign evolved and Trump continued to take those slings and arrows for, we the deplorables, our support only got stronger….2016 was an amazing adventure that continues today!!!!
1000000% Trumper from the beginning and forever… We can and must Make America Great Again!!!!!
Me too !
He was the first person I ever voted for .
Almost voted for Sarah Palin but as much as I loved her , I couldn’t stand her running mate .
Day One! It was just a gut feeling and I have never wavered.
Same here, pure gut
“Donald Trump could show up to the GOP debate in 5-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and start twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, and I’d still support him.”
I remember that quote.
I remember it too!
My gut said he was the guy when he came down that escalator.
My brain decided to agree after the first debate! LOL
Good gut.
always follow your instincts… 🙂
Not much different for me.
I listened to the announcement when he came down the escalator and was telling people that this man is going to be the 2016 Republican nominee and likely will win the election.
I remember watching the first Republican debate at my daughter and SIL’s house. They were living in Georgia at the time. Been on the Trump train ever since.
I’ve been here and on board since the escolator ride.
I am here because “the truth has no agenda”
Sundance is the truth teller and treepers are the best!
I joined when that governor from Wisconsin dropped out. So glad too!!!!! Didn’t know what to expect from DT. What a tremendous surprise he has been.
Oh. And the first Al Smith dinner and Trumps epic take down of Hillary. This guy is for realz.
That was epic.
Epic squared.
Has it only been 10 years?
Seems like a lifetime.
Incredible journey.
Seems like – to h3ll and back …
I joined in 2012 when he threw his hat in the ring briefly. Then we were stuck w Mittens
To be honest, I wasn’t impressed by his debate performances. Too much name calling and insults, didn’t seem to have a great handle on issues. It was Hillary that pushed me onto the Trump Train. When she said anyone that would vote for him was deplorable, I proudly declared myself a Deplorable and rallied behind the Donald.
Trump fights back in a way that appeals to Dems and independents. That’s how he wins.
I jumped on the Trump train, admittedly reluctantly, once he won the nomination. There was simply no way I could ever vote for Hillary, ever. I thought he was a little nuts, but I did like that no one controlled him. Since that moment he has continued to impress and inspire me. While I worship no man on this earth and I don’t always agree with Trump, I do admire him and realize he is a unique man in our time.
<I jumped on the Trump train…>
Trump’s Train is Made for Changin‘
Dems keep tweeting…when they oughta be truthin’
And Dems keep losin’…when they oughta not bet…
Dems keep samin’…when they oughta be a-changin’
Now what’s right is right…but they ain’t been right yet.
Trump’s train is made for changin’
His agenda is a gem…
One of these days Trump’s train is gonna roll all over them.
White👢 👢 n hat -yep
I hopped aboard the day he announced. I’d been following the Treehouse for a year or two before that and it was an eye opener. I followed your analysis on the splinter strategy and I was an immediate convert.
I was addicted to talk shows in the 70s and 80s. I was aware of, but could have cared less about, billionaire builder DJT.
I never watched the show that made, “You’re fired!” famous.
However, when he ran for the 2016 presidency– I recalled all those pro American opinions he stated
from decades earlier.
There was not a shadow of doubt that he was the shining star, the beacon of hope, for my troubled nation. I supported this man from day #1.
I have been all in as a treeper and supporter of this president ever since. 💕🏡 🦁👑💕
God bless, Sundance!
God bless President Trump!
♥️🤍💙🇺🇲
Exactly 💯,
“I recalled all those pro American opinions he stated from decades earlier”
Same for me plus ➕️ Sundance diagnosis in 2015/2016.👍👌.
President Donald J Trump is the MAGA man on point.
Day 1. That same day I joined “The Hottest First Lady Ever” club. 😉
I know!!! My woman crush runs deep😂
When the usual pundits wanted him to tone down his rhetoric (no more mean tweets), I knew he was for real
I joined soon after the escalator ride.
After Obamacare passed, the GOP said we need the house to repeal it. So we got them the house.
After that, they said wait we need the house and senate! So we got them the house and senate. Guess what, they said they needed the house, senate, and White House.
So I said Bite Me, and left the party.
Battered republican no more.
PDJT coat tails got the GOP the House, Senate, White House – then John McCain turned “thumbs down” in the vote to repeal commie-care.
John McCain damaged the entire nation out of his petty wittle hurt feewings, because Trump said something “mean”.
McCain did a lot of damage to the nation.
McCain should have done prison time for his part in the Keating Five S&L scandal.
don’t remember,but its been a long time.morning guy.
I supported him from the beginning, mainly because he was not a politician and was saying things that were obvious but no politician would ever admit. And, of course, because the establishment hated him.
The Establishment hates him (as well as the Deep State) because he can’t be bought off like what has happened to all of them!!!
You weren’t the first person I heard about the “splitter strategy” from. That’s how I knew you were legit, especially when you talked about the financial dynamics rather than the political. That being said, when Trump raised hell about illegals to Congress *before* he ran for POTUS, I knew he was gonna run. When he ran I understood with clear eyes what was happening. I will say though that you’re an amazing human being and you do *real* journalism. Hopefully one day they’ll have an award named after you. Good luck and stay safe.
3.5 years until he goes back up the escalator and leaves us to the wolves at the FBI who have never been held accountable.
Do you think if we all buy a Trump Watch or Trump Cellphone he’ll finally do something to hold the russiagate traitors accountable?
Patience is a virtue, and sometimes justice is handed out behind closed doors. Keep praying. After 10 years I have noticed that they are all hoisted on their own petards, eventually.
I was originally a Ted Cruz fan. I thought with his legal background and experience in arguing cases before SCOTUS, Cruz would demolish Hillary in the debates.
It took a few months, but I finally wised up and became a Trump supporter.
I wore my red MAGA hat to the Trump Rally in San Jose, CA on Thursday, June 2, 2016. The California primary was 5 days later, June 7.
At the rally, I bought 2 more Trump MAGA hats, plus a Trump Coalition T-shirt.
I was mugged after the rally by several Hispanic youths, who managed to wrest one hat from me. Filthy little pricks.
San Jose Police Department’s 250 officers “stood down” and watched the rally-goers run the gauntlet to get back to our cars. The mob beat and harassed the rally-goers with impunity.
The next day, San Jose Mayor Sam the Sham Liccardo blamed Trump’s “rhetoric” for the Democrat mob’s violence. Village Idiot Police Chief Edgardo Garcia praised the “courage” of his officers.
That was it for me. Ever since, I will crawl through a parking lot full of broken glass to support President Trump.
Glad you survived that gauntlet! Absolutely despicable the way Trump Supporters were treated during that election cycle.
Since I would never vote for a ‘rat, as soon as Trump secured the nomination I got on board. I have to confess I voted for Cruz in the commiefornia primary because I was skeptical of what an outsider such as Trump could accomplish. I knew the goons in dc would fight him tooth and nail so I, at that time, thought Cruz could make better headway. What I have learned about Cruz since then has definitely changed my views.
Lyin’ Ted.
After the first debate!
As a college business grad in the 1980’s, frequenting NY and AC while establishing a career (I saw him at the Taj Mahal once in AC), I had read the Art of the Deal and was a fan of the Apprentice (not the stupid Celebrity one but the one where he really showed his business acumen) and DJT himself…I was a huge fan girl of his from that perspective…. I was in the gym on the treadmill chugging it out when he came down the escalator and someone had turned up the volume so I stopped to listen…suffice to say I stayed on it the entire speech…I knew the man was a great business man, but never put the 2 and 2 together…running a great business, running the country…I found myself nodding my head to literally every single sentence…I distinctly remember (as someone who traveled extensively) him saying that shithole airports we had in the USA compared to the world…to me that was a metaphor for how far our country had fallen….The MAGA in me was born!
I remember thinking as I finished reading The Art of the Deal in 1987-88, “If Donald Trump ever decided to run for president, he will have my vote.” Been on the Trump train ever since.
As soon as he came down the escalator! The Deep State can kiss my A$$!
From the start…
Best President in my lifetime….
I enlisted under Regan for context…
As other fakes, frauds, and like minded RINOs back then called TPP the “Gold Standard” …
… the day Donald Trump declared he would abolish NAFTA, he instantly won the entire Rust Belt. And the White House.
The love across the old industrial heartland of America for him has only deepened since.
Yes, his opposition to the TPP was a huge issue for me. I knew Hillary and Jeb would both ram it through.
In those days, it really did feel like the Treepers were the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae holding back the Uniparty Persians.
I worked the phones for his primary campaign in 2015 on the 5th floor in Trump Tower before they moved to the basement. Used to go there during my lunch hour.
Thank you!
Fantastic! I was visiting NYC and my daughters living and working there and I stopped by the Tower hoping to get campaign merch, and lo and behold found the basement kiosk where I procured a half dozen bumperstickers. I kept one for myself and spread the other 5 around to Trump Train believer friends who were so grateful I got my hands on them! I swear I was the only person in IL brave enough to sport one on my car. I do believe it was that bumper sticker that nearly got me run off Interstate 65 while I was driving to the last Trump rally in the Indianapolis area the day before the IN primary (where he knocked Ted Cruz out of the race…)
Shortly after you made that comment, Sundance.
I dumped Fox News as this time and had previously dumped CNN and BBC years earlier.
My disenchantment with mainstream media goes back 55 years.
For me it was after that rally he did early in 2016 in lieu of going to the GOP debate. IIRC correctly he slapped that thing together in 24 hours and announced it would be a benefit for veterans’ charities.
I watched it mostly because I was curious to see how he’d treat the vets (I was active Guard at the time). To my absolute shock, Trump did something I’d never seen any politician do before; he got out of the way and let the reps from the various charities talk.
He was respectful and more importantly, he seemed to care more about helping them than using them as props.
I’d kind of thought his candidacy was some kind of publicity stunt before that, but after that, he had my vote.
Plus, I also found the old r/the_donald subreddit on Reddit around that time, which was a thing of beauty throughout 2016. While it might not make any sense to the older folks, all the Warhammer 40k and Pepe memes did a lot to get Trump the youth vote.
Right – the Megyn Kelly brushup.
I *went* to that rally – it was held in Iowa! While I was on the sidewalk waiting to get in, I realized that the event had been “overticketed” and, even though it was winter-time cold, I stayed in line and watched the rally outside on the sidewalks courtesy of the Jumbotrons outside (yay!!!!). I was interviewed by national media that night who thought I was crazy to have driven over from the Chicago suburbs. When they asked “Why are you here?”, my response was “Because we are NOT getting the straight story from you all as to what the man is saying and what his candidacy is all about!” (Boy they didn’t want to hear that!)
From the beginning. I think we can refer to this past decade as the Trump decade.
I was 50/50 coming down the elevator. Leaning towards Ted Cruz. Then Cruz blamed Trump for the violence that followed Trump’s campaign events, and I was Trump all the way from then on.
I was a Ted Cruz supporter, Fox News watcher and bought in to all the BS! Within a couple weeks stumbled upon TCTH and have been changed forever.
December 1, 2015. Waterville Valley, NH
A long way north in freezing rain.
Union Leader newspaper had just endorsed
Jeb! the day before. They reported that a few
hundred people were at the Waterville Valley
rally. Nope. It was 1200. In freezing rain.
We have been on the Trump Train ever since.
Not as early as you. I knew only what I had read about him over the years, his bankruptcies, the way he overcame those difficulties, which I admired, his cheating, which I did not. I didn’t know enough about him at that time to say THAT’s the guy.
5 business bankruptcies out of nearly 500 business ventures over a 40+ year span. That is an enviable track record.
Because of his success as a developer and the stories I read about how he personally helped people in need I was interested in him every time the idea of Trump for POTUS was floated. The more I saw and heard the more I believed – whether he knew it or not his life had been preparing him for this.
I was a Donald Trump fan since the 80s, and I have always said we need a businessman as President.
The moment I heard he was considering a run I was all in.
You and I both. Hearing Rush Limbaugh start his radio show. Well before the escalator ride.
A Business man was our only hope to balance or change course.
I saw him in Panama City Beach FL for his first visit to Bay County.
Grateful.
I bought my ticked and climbed aboard in June of 2015 like many others here. It’s been the most amazing 10 years in political history and resulted in the greatest president we’ve ever had. But more than that, he has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest human beings to ever walk the face of the earth. I don’t know of anyone else that could have survived even 10% of his last ten years, let alone prosper like he has. Godzilla Trump, King of MAGA!!
I joined the minute he came down the escalator… it has certainly been an EPIC ride!
So much has been revealed since he entered the arena. By the time this 4yrs is done, I expect the landscape to be COMPLETELY different all over the world. We are no longer blind or deaf!
I remember how many people went ballistic during his first term because they thought he was doing something bad for us, but it turned out to be the perfect thing to do. That is why I do not worry about his maneuvers, I just wait and watch the show… as he pulls aside the curtains on whatever the issue is, and we SEE why he did what he did.
Despite all the obstacles, and all out assaults upon him, he always RISES!
He is a FIGHTER for US!
And we WIN, WIN, WIN!
G7 Summit: Russia Lives In Their Heads Rent Free
I hated Trump at the time because I thought he was a total con job who was trying to sabotage Ted Cruz. Of course I voted for him in the general election because the alternative was Hillary (Satan). It was only after he started acting on all the promises he made that I came around.
I was here then. I have been here since the Trayvon hoax.
In June of 2015, Trump started talking about immigration. That was always my main issue. I went on Facebook and asked him to run, along with many others.
I am still there for him, although I recently sold some DJT stock.
I have been really upset with the Israel/Iran issue, especially when I found out that Tulsi said in March that Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapons program.
Thank you for reminding us how bad the rest of them are and how good DJT is. He needs to get BBB passed and that is what matters now.
I stumbled across a fledgling live streaming company and heard about a rally for President Trump at a small airport in SOJ (State of Jefferson) region so figured if nothing else I’d get to see the T-bird up close and rub elbows with some fellow SOJ’ers.
It was so hot that the Trump sign on the podium fell off. I knew of PDJT mostly from reading his book on business back in the 80’s. I hadn’t watched much TV in the interceding years so didn’t know much about him otherwise. His presence impressed me. I think that’s something that’s best discovered in person. Some people have it, plenty of us don’t.
The company was what is now RSBN and the airport Redding, in northern California. Steve Lookner was working for them back then. I remember his face and voice.
So, I joined the Trump train in June of 2016
When Trump came out swinging during the Republican debates, and dared criticize the Bushes, is when I started taking him seriously
When he and Melania descended the escalator and he started talking, I said out loud in my truck (listening on the radio) ‘son of a b!tch’ he’s gonna win!
He was saying the zactly same things we all had been yammering on about for years. Only for it to fall in mainly deaf ears
That was EXACTLY my reaction having dug around the deep state stuff back in the 1990’s on a website called FreeRepublic. When DJT said that day after coming down the escalator that he would not accept special interest money, my reaction was “Hot damn! This is the guy that can’t be bought off!!! He’s the winner!”
“You’d be in jail.” i s when I hopped aboard.
Lol. Another epic Donald Trump moment.
The most legendary moment of any presidential campaign. I hope my children’s grand children will know about this.
J13 beats it.
I was actually IN Las Vegas that night for another non-related event/convention. I watched that rally with a bunch of LV Republicans (I think I found their gathering “event” on Facebook?), then made my way over to the Trump Hotel and hung out with all in the inner Trump circle (his sons, Diamond and Silk, Justice Jeanine Pirro, etc.). Pretty much everyone was there hanging out in the lobby except for the Candidate and lovely Melania!
