I know more than a few of us were here on these pages discussing Donald Trump in June of 2015 when he announced his intention to run for the Republican presidential nomination.
Many of you might even remember my initial reaction to Trump’s announcement, “Donald Trump could show up to the GOP debate in 5-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and start twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, and I’d still support him.”
All of those years taking apart the republican party strategy and their illusion of choice, for me the #1 signal that Donald Trump was a legit outsider came from his placement in the announcement. President Trump was the last candidate to announce entry; all the other candidates were in place before he announced. That datapoint told me he was for real.

So, when did you join the Trump train?
I had only recently discovered the Treehouse when the escalator day happened.
People on lucianne.com had started posting CTH links, and as soon as I got here I was hooked.
Sundancisms, like the one in this article about why Trump got his vote, were the icing on the cake.
As for DJT himself, I think the moment I knew he would have my vote forever was the Rosie O’Donnell joke.
He was already the front runner in my mind, but that was the clincher.
He instantly had all the right enemies, which told me he was the perfect choice and would make a truly great President!
I remember you from Lucianne. I only go there for the cartoon of the day and glance at headlines.
I think the more relevant question is when did you jump off the train? 2021 ish for me. I still root for him.
But this mess can’t be fixed.
That’s the place we can’t go . An Army ranger friend told me there are 35 million combat tested veterans clinching their teath right now! if the call was made to go it would end all of our Americans lives as we know it ! It can be fixed but only because it is America ! The only place there is a chance .
I have not jumped off the TRAIN! Once on it…if you are really a patriot, MAGA supporter and a Trump backer…..and you have any idea at all whats going on…YOU dont get off THAT TRAIN because YOU know this is the ONLY train that gets you back your home! Our country! Our freedoms and our Republic! Jumping off THAT TRAIN means YOU have given up!

I paid attention to the Republican debates, by the third one I wasn’t embarrassed listening to him, he was too freaking funny.
But when HRC was nominated I prayed daily, “God do not let her be President she will kill us all”.
Then I heard the word of God I believe, “stop praying against her and pray for him”!
I had the first and profound Holy Spirit moment. I was convinced Trump would win. My prayers were more fervent than any time in my life. But that day I had a confidence and calmness that Trump would be our President.
I have never had the Holy Spirit calm me down that I had no doubt for the next two months.
Then he got elected and immediately said, “Obama was spying on me”
I said out loud, “Of course you were, why did you have to say it on the news?”
I laughed and thought this is going to be a great president, more honest than all those drone liars.
From that day, I thought, this is going to be so much fun.
Thank you for asking. I joined the exact second I observed the overwhelming derision, disgust, distain and despair exhibited by the Legacy Media, left-wing(nut) politicians and citizens who presumed all of America was going to agree with their assessment. It may have been the second his right foot stepped off the escalator.
And I have you to thank for the extraordinary amount of information that has kept me alert and informed. Truly, I hope God continues to bless you.

I was on very quickly. I got a copy of Time Magazine the summer of 2015 and that drew me in to see what was going on. I found my way to the Treehouse later that summer and followed Sundance’s GoP roadmap. I watched it play out. Went to my first and only Trump rally in December of 2015 in Grand Rapids, MI. Went early morning and got front row in front of the podium. He signed my MAGA hat. Back then he’d come off stage and sign things for the people.
I became an avid reader of CTH shortly after PDJT came down the escalator and announced his candidacy. To date, I have found this website to be at the top of the list for delivering factual information in a timely manner and user friendly format.

While I was watching I told myself we need this man! And it was and has been MAGA ever since!

I joined the Trump Train (didn’t know much about him — assumed he was a New York liberal running as a RINO) after the Republican debates when he was the ONLY candidate (despite me being a Cruz supporter) who came off as authentic, irreverent, downright funny, and clearly desirous of putting America and the American People FIRST.
WHAT A CONCEPT!

“So, when did you join the Trump train?”
All that question asks me is, “Who leads my life, God or man”.
God uses man. (Even an imperfect man, e.g., Moses, King David, the Apostle Paul, etc.) It’s OKAY to be on the Trump train. We give God the glory for giving us Trump.
We were watchers of ‘The Apprentice’ and after the announcement I said excitedly: “He’s going to win the Republican nomination and the Presidency!!!”.
He was so refreshing and authentic that it will be talked about in a hundred years. He has changed global politics forever.
Then we learned slow and steady and wait a few days after an event to fully assess.
Onward, to the golden age with the ever diminishing speedbumps.

I voted for him in 2016 because, obviously. But only really got on board after his inauguration. He had all the right enemies and he had them in complete disarray.
I never liked him because he was arrogant. When he ran, and addressed real issues like a normal person I was on board, and predicted he would win in 2015 at work. Nobody thought it was possible Dems or Republicans. I saw it like Reagan landslide connection with voters.

I posted this here many years ago… as a member of the US Coast Guard, while stationed for the second time at the US Coast Guard base in Mayport, Florida, a crewmate and me had a political conversation. He asked me who I thought would end up being, in the future, the greatest president. I told him- Donald Trump. My crewmate freaked out 😮 😮 🤣 🤣 . When Donald Trump was elected the first time as President in 2016, my former crewmate must have remembered the conversation we had decades ago 😃 .
When I was in sixth grade, my parents loved and were impressed by how different I was from other kids my age. They had a psychologist test me about many things. In intelligence, I was way higher than the average. In music appreciation I was higher than one in one million 😃 . I love real music, not rhythmic noise. Have over 454 musical numbers in my cellphone, which I peacefully play in the speakers of my car as I drive. The reason I mention this is so my fellow Treepers will know why I believe the following Trump Train version is the best one I have heard. I hope you all like it 😃 😍 💖 .
When he started talking about illegal immigration at the first debate. Up until then, I thought the field had nothing to offer.

Decided to vote for him before he and Melania came down the escalator.
Had some needless apprehension about his emotions getting the best of him.

I was with DJT the moment he announced…..and I watched the moment he came down that golden escalator! I’ve been with him since the beginning. I’ll never forget telling my parents I was backing Trump…they thought I was crazy! But….as time went on and I kept sharing with them about all that we know, my parents both woke up and have voted for Trump all 3 times he ran!

I jumped on the the trump train after Trump said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” during a news conference on July 27, 2016 and then saw how that was twisted by the media.

I watched it “live” and never doubted it for a second!
About time we ran this country like a business and not a slush fund from taxpayers to politicians.
My children were Trumpers first. I watched one of his first really big rallies. I swear I had deja vu watching and listening to Ronald Reagan. His plain speaking..no political swamp speak. His irreverence and comedic brilliance. I say now I was late to jump on the train but my seat is firmly planted. If he can’t fix us, nothing can.
I was with him in 2012 but he didn’t stay in the race. So in 2015 I said to myself Trump if he stays in.
I came about when I saw how he was treating the MSM. They had it coming for a long time and we finally had someone who delivered.
Sent my first donation the day he came down the elevator, been doing all I can afford to support the MAGA movement since and will continue to do so including CTH!
After the first republican primary debate. I was a senior in Highschool, it was a gut reaction, he simply told the truth. In my civics class we followed the primary closely, I was one out of 2 people in my 40 something class that liked Trump. My teacher teased me and the other guy anytime Trump did something uncouth. It was lighthearted teasing but I could tell she really didn’t like Trump, I would give it back to her most of the time but it was fun. There was never a doubt in my mind that He was going to win the primary. Every state primary Trump won, I got to walk into that class yet again as a vindicated for my opinion. The teacher kept coming up with concocted ways Trump could lose, “if Ted wins here, If Jeb wins there, If the delectates don’t vote this way”.
She was always kind and professional, but I’m sure she voted for Hillary.
Absolutely in 2015. As a NYer, I had known then, for many years, Donald Trump’s character pretty well. Nerves of steel. We accidentally bumped into each other in the ‘80s at a graduation at my Alma Mater, and not realizing immediately who he was, he was very kind and apologetic. And then I was in shock when I realized it was Mr. Trump. Awesome gentleman.
The moment he finished his speech after he came down the escalator, I was enamored. He said EVERYTHING I felt needed to happen to take back our country when no other candidate was willing to do the hard work. I was initially a Cruz supporter, but only because he was who I thought to be the best out of them all. However, I knew he wasn’t willing to do what it took to save our nation, but neither was anyone else. So, I would hold my nose and support him.
Until Trump!
After his excellent speech, he was my man, but I was a little worried he would end up backing out of the race. I decided to listen to him any time he was on the news and pray about it. Even though he had a sordid past, I felt he was the only man to do the job. He was more conservative than the self-proclaimed conservatives in areas that mattered most. And I believed he was truthful with how he felt and what he wanted to do to save our nation. He seemed to be the only one brave enough to do it. So, it didn’t take long for me to believe he was in it to win and go public with my support for him. I think it was a week or two after the escalator. As president, he went above and beyond my expectations.
