“warplanes” in the sense that they are bombers. Iran has tremendous resources that those others mostly do not, and a well-educated population that knows how to rebuild. Yes, times will be tough for a while, but they will be able to rebuild their own nation. I do not believe U.S. forces will be needed on the ground, and would not support any call for it. The Saudis and the other Gulf states would likely jump at the chance to be involved securing peace in the region if it would mean the mullahs never come back to power.

When they saw the writing on the wall and knew their country was being overrun with radical muslims they moved all their assets into foreign banks, and then one-by-one they left their homeland.
First they went to Canada, and then they moved to the U.S.
They were not muslim, they were Bahai, and they knew they would be persecuted or killed if they stayed.
I’m sure they would be thrilled to return to their homeland, if they can peacefully live there again.
I worked for a wonderful man who came to the US in the 80’s who also couldn’t return to Iran. He and his wife were Muslim, but not the radical and very kind and welcoming, as well as very intelligent. He will rejoice if the existing powers fall.
I worked with an Iranian who escaped as a young man and could never return. He went thru Turkey, then UK. then USA. Today he is a gifted surgeon. His family managed to join him over the years. I took International Relations classes from Mansour Farhang at CSU Sacramento in 1972.
