As much as I like Elon what he did will have and has had VERY lasting effects.
Even if the Epstein files are released, even TOTALLY unredacted , many will only remember what Elon said on Twitter one night.
It makes no difference right now. What he did was stupid but basically he apologized to DJT. I think in time he will and should be forgiven. He will be given a short leash with specific duties like DJT does with most who work for him. Make no doubt about it as Elon is an asset of the team as he’s got a problem solving mind set.
Negotiations to win against nasty opposition takes deception of a visonary kind. Kennedy coming from an old political family, and Trump from an old Economic family while both were in one case and are in the other most interesting to watch. Best call on the seeming feud – aimed at politicians who stuffed the Bill, not each other. The stock market did the work.
Saying “I regret my actions” is not an apology, more of an admission that he f’ed up. But not in the sense that he is sorry, rather that his actions didn’t produce the desired result. There is no admission of guilt here, no corrective action. Just a selfish “my plan didn’t work” statement.
I’m sorry isn’t the same as I am sorry. I apologize doesn’t mean a person is sorry. Fine lines w/both. Same w/forgiving and letting go. Forgive and forget. I don’t do well w/the forgetting part.
We can forgive Elon all we want and yes I myself forgive him—However forgiving him and condoning and forgetting what he did are two separate issues.
The fact is that what Elon did will be used against Trump for months if not for years to come.
Do disagree with you –What Elon did was to OUR POTUS is our business.
Yes Trump can forgive him, but what Elon did he did to America and put a stain on America
For the comments for the people who have no common sense I just pass them on by now.
Forgiveness is key and I am glad you mentioned it. I struggle with it but am learning. There is something really sad about Musk in his demeanor. There is no need, imo, for him to be casted out and not at least forgiven even if he can’t be friends with President Trump again. He has paid a huge price already for citizens of this country.
For me it has been hard-in some areas in forgiving others. –Had a horrid childhood that left me with PTSD…Yet i can forgive them–but for me I was told I do not have to condone what they did, not do I have to have a friendship with them.
Same here with forgiving and forgetting. I struggle from horrid childhood also. I have found people that were horrible to me died a lone and it makes me feel worse. Maybe I was too hard in not forgiving and showing mercy. Now that I am old I see all people struggle and need mercy. Even if the mercy is from a far. I do wish Musk well even if he never gets back in the circle.
Just put yourself in their place and ask yourself if it was you and your behaviour toward other people deserves mercy. If yes, then you are free to forgive. If no, then it doesn’t matter. God will take care of it.
I forgive easily. Reestablishing trust is much more difficult and sometimes impossible. I have never trusted Elon and only care about whether he is useful to MAGA. He is not one of us and I don’t think he ever will be.
I think what Elon did was detrimental but more than that he exposed exactly how the tech bros look on and try the use Trump. Further Elon thought all his money and support could get him off the hook of DOJ investigation. But it was his belief that pay to play would work with Trump. Money is not Trumps goal, I’m sure he has many more billions than anyone knows, but he doesn’t care about that. His one and only goal is to MAGA. Elon insinuated that was his goal.
Whatever the fact is, PDJT learned a valuable lesson, he can only rely on his family for close relationships. And he is friends with all Americans, he knows 100s of 1000s billionaires and unlimited wealthy people, but he’s not always impressed. There’s only two I can think of that Trump really believes they are real friends, Lutnick and Witkoff he knew than 30-40 years as friends.
Elon won’t lose contracts but he has been shut out of the power he really wanted.
Think about how stupid it was for Elon to even comment of the BBB, it’s nothing like him budgeting and accounting for his companies. The arrogance that he knows everything is what caused this, and I’m sure he still believes it.
God Bless Musk, but I’ll let PDJT if he accepts that pathetic non admission, to deal with him at a distance. But the door has been shut by PDJT as it should be. This was not just a spat between friends, it was a betrayal of the President and Commander in Chief, which can never be tolerated!
I don’t know how anyone can forget Trump believes the Biblical principle an eye for an eye, and retribution. Trump’s actions can be just ignoring Musk, not brutal revenge. That would be enough.
it’s not an apology. it’s similar to the half-apology Simone Biles put out (after she attacked Riley Gaines for her support of keeping only women in women’s sports), which was an ‘oh shit, i thought I’d get tons of likes and retweets, not 1000’s of negative replies. I’d better backtrack!’
Putting these comments out publicly, instead of calling or texting PDJT was a dumb idea. Now, the whole world is looking for him to apologize.
I still don’t understand why so many think putting their personal opinions out on social media is a good idea. It can always be used against you when looking for a job, etc.
Why are so many pretending Elon apologized. The gas lighting narrative that his statement is an apology has been very effective.in spreading the illusion but many are not buying in. Too many have become astutely aware of these narrative methods to control loyalty as an emotion.
Good hearted people that forgive quickly, that’s why. There’s no excuse for his actions, it’s not even our responsibility to forgive him. God does that.
If a friend said they regret what they did, without the apology only means they are semi aware they shouldn’t have done or done it with other words.
Apology and asking forgiveness is what should be done. And ask for God’s forgiveness too
In the long run it matters not. Die-hard Trump-haters avidly believe every bad accusation against Trump. If those accusations are disproven Trump-haters will still cling to them regardless. Trump fans know accusations against Trump are typically nothing but wishful thinking from the Trump-haters. Musk’s stunts won’t move either group’s views.
During Lincoln’s Presidency he was accused of many vile things, and the lasting effect… he’s hailed as the Gold Standard in War Time Presidents and Presidents in General.
Deeds matter, Character matter and they are what are judged and remembered. President Trump has nothing to fear in the here and now and in future History Books.
Some Nasty Anti-President Quotes to Offer Perspective
Here are just a few choice quotes leveled at the president (read to the end):
“The president has continued during the last week to make a fool of himself and to mortify and shame the intelligent people of this great nation.”
“He is evidently a person of very inferior character.”
“The president is a fungus from the corrupt womb of bigotry and fanaticism, a worse tyrant than has existed since the days of Nero.”
“Those who vote for the president’s re-election are traitors.”
“He is universally an admitted failure, has no will, no courage, no executive capacity.”
“There is a strong feeling among those who have seen the president, in the way of business, that he lacks practical talent for the job. It is thought that there should be more readiness.”
Yes. These nasty things were said about President…Lincoln. By Democrats and “NeverLincolns” of their day. All while he won the Civil War and ended slavery.
So keep fighting, President Trump. While your opponents try everything they can to demean, demoralize, and depose you, the decent people of this country appreciate your tireless efforts in giving us this great economy, a stronger military, better trade deals, and a restored sense of America’s true greatness.
And? And perhaps you should educate yourself about this condition? Asperger people typically have a lower level where stress gets to them. They usually explode suddenly in anger or go into an almost catatonic state, immobile for an hour or more. Afterwards they often have no recollection of the ‘event’.
Does NOT excuse what Elon did.
That Twit will most likely never go away and will probably always be a thorn in Trump’s and any good Conservative’s side.
Thank you for stating this. Others have as well. Two months ago, the vast majority of the people on this site would have given Elon a tongue-kiss on national TV for his work on DOGE and his company dealing with the rent-a-mob democrat domestic terror mafia that followed.
Now everyone is trashing the guy. He has a serious psychological disorder. Trump knew that before he started his bromance with Elon. If Musk is also using drugs (IF), no one knows how that could impact his behavior with his underlying condition.
Lots of people here think they have everything figured out, but they don’t. Read a little about the condition before you post stupid shit.
And I agree with you. Said the very same thing. Turned on Musk yet we’re putting up with the Rinos stabbing Trump and Conservatives in the back. What does the Bible say? Those that haven’t sin cast the first stone
I have two highly affected autistic sons. I also worked with adults with disabilities. There is a lot of impulsive behavior in this world. Lots. I had zero problem visualizing Musk turning a plane around to go to twitter headquarters to cut all of the wires (as was reported after he purchased the company). He has drug addiction issues and sex issues, as well. Again. Impulse control.
Trump made a deal with a known devil. That devil gave us a free “x”/twitter. His push on Rogan right before the election moved quite a few swing voters. He sledgehammered a good chunk of the excess in the federal government. He gave us “Big Balls”. He jump started DOGE (and I believe Congress is actually trying to codify several of their cut suggestions). He took the heat for a lot of things Trump wanted done..but I don’t know that he was ready for the vitriol of the left.
Elon is Elon. He hasn’t changed. Trump knew exactly what and who he was. Trump used him for what he needed (while keeping the heat off of himself). It’s good business. As we can see, the left has given up blowing up teslas and now have laser eyes destroying cities. Too bad Elon couldn’t have stayed around a little longer to keep deter (at least for a bit), the Summer of Love.
As for Epstein, that’s been rumored forever. I’m not sure I know the truth, but Elon’s tweet certainly didn’t sway me….it’s old news.
Sometimes, “heroes” are very imperfect I put that in quotes, because neither trump nor musk are heroes to me…but I do appreciate what they brought and bring to the table.
Why is it when the flavor of the moment, Musk in this case, goes ballistic the excuses roll out. He has Asperger’s as if to make an excuse for his ‘behavior’. If this was a democrat everyone would be cutting them up like a lawn mower on grass, but since people think Musk is an ally the excuses for his behavior are used to the point of being ridiculous. Asperger’s or not Musk is an adult responsible for his behavior and after his outburst cannot be trusted. Musk is a grifter living large on the taxpayer dime due to his companies being the largest private contractor working for government. He is a construct of the IC community and doesn’t deserve any leeway for his behavior. I have posted on this site numerous outlines of Musk’s background and why IMO he is not to be trusted. Never been a fan of Musk and do not accept the Asperger excuses either.
And with an outburst like that he’s higher on spectrum than my adult child but simlar to one of my gand kid’s. It’s a bigger struggle for some more than others depending on where they are on the spectrum.
Like the dementia team told me, keep an open mind. When one meets one dementia patient, one meets that dementia patient; they’re all different.
Also, accepting other’s opinions and analysis here about Elon’s mental and emotional state, environment plays a huge role. Elon works in a supercharged, highly stimulating environment and to the extent that he reportedly did sleep, or still sleeps, at work sometimes.
The best way, in my opinion, to understand one’s own mental matrix in a situation like that is to immerse. I picked that up from my dad, who went from a sedate white collar job to slogging it through the chaos of war in North Africa and Italy with death tugging at his elbow most days. I have no idea how I’d handle it because I never had to. Same with Elon’s world, no idea. Walk in his shoes for a day.
I’ve watched PDJT watch Elon when they’re together and a camera is rolling. I think stable genius PDJT sized up Elon pretty quickly as an unstable genius who was fascinating and fun to have around for a while. I think he was waiting for the situation to inevitably play itself out, and now it has. PDJT has said that Elon has “problems” or “issues,” so he’s aware of Musk’s volatility and the possible reasons behind it. He doesn’t want any harm to come to him, but I have no doubt Elon will never get the inside track again in any meaningful way.
I’m not personally surprised at Elon’s behavior. Shooting star humans like him always come with baggage. Always. I feel a little bad for him, because I do think he really looks up to PDJT as a “father figure” of sorts, and now he’s gone and blown it.
This is very similar to my thinking as well. I too think Elon looked at Trump like a Father figure, and that he sperged out when he didn’t get his way on something.
He knows he screwed up and no doubt deeply regrets it. But Trump is not his Father and he does not have to let him back in.
It is one big psyop narrative about it being theater. It takes care of 2 things. First, lets Elon off the hook. Second, puts doubt into President Trump being The Transparent President and plants seeds of suspicion about him in brains of his supporters. Well, at least it would be the goal.
who first latched onto the theater theory? Who now repeats it?
Geesh, pretending Elon apologized. Pretending the two were closer than they are. Pretending they were play acting. Land of Make Believ.

Translation: “I regret that my attempt to hurt the President was like a boomerang. It severely wounded me and barely scraped him.” In the future I suspect Musk will hire proxies to do his anti-MAGA dirty work and think we will not notice.
He’ll only hire them if they’re here on H1-B visas.

Asperger’s…Wonder if it’s caused by vaccines.
Apologizing when you are wrong is a good thing as long it’s sincere. We need to guard against cynicism that is skepticism carried too far and lacking charity.
Thank you. IT takes all kinds .. there are those who aren’t happy with apologies unless they are in the form they want. Make the sorry person crawl and eat the s*** they pour down the ‘offender’s’ throat. Vicious types, who never apologise themselves. I’ve known people who who have problem to apologise. Nver hear them say that word sorry, ever. “I am sorry, please forgive me’. Just leave things at a certain point; on occasions when we do come face to face (at home or at work) being detachedly polite without grovelling is no pain. We do that with strangers at a clubhouse or neighbors passing by. The offender, depending on the individual character, will make the first move after a while, usually soon. It normally wouldn’t take years to start speaking to the person they were angry or nasty; with some opening conversation starter like – “I haven’t seen you at such and such a place lately”, or, “we are going to eat out .. would you like to come with us?” Nothing deep. I know that is their way to apologise. It would take lot more than just words to break up what should be a normal give and take relationship.

This whole thing smelled like a SpaceX sting via sat-comms, looking at the timeline when Tulsi cranked up the Brennan outrage machine over “Michael Collins & Inc”, Putin targeting Kiev, Hegseth at Normandy->secret Camp David choppers/Iran squeak, that seems logical
Trump’s been conducting 64D chess for more than 8 years, then man defies gravity…get over it
Doocy (?) asked Trump about Elon military contracts, Trump brushed it off
As things progress, I think the comms contracts will come under tremendous scrutiny, gnomesayin? Trump has obviously isolated the rogue element, it’s gonna get vetted, so the cra-cra…Kevin O’Leary is at this moment making my point to Jesse Watters

An apology starts with:
“I apologize to you for …….”
Regrets or even saying you are sorry is NOT an apology.
The classic: “I’m sorry if it offended you.” Translated: “I’m sorry I got blowback.”

He also said something very negative about MAGA when we gave our opinion on H1B1 Visas. If he can not control his temper and mouth he can not be near the Oval Office or the President. Is he going to say the US is about to attack some country he names because he is mad about something? Who knows what he will do next? Sundance, once again as always, you were correct!
I don’t agree with Musk on that topic but it’s no shocker to me that the richest guy in the world wants to use the cheapest and most efficient labor to achieve his goals in life. Heck my business colleagues were the same way. Nothing new. I don’t have to like it but that’s what living in God’s creation entails. Dealing with things and people we don’t particularly like nor agree with on certain aspects of life.
How do we, one, change those people’s hearts and minds and, two, best task them to achieve our mission? I think PDJT did a masterful job, overall. A bit ragged in the details but no matter. The end is, in my opinion, up to us. PDJT and Elon are canaries. They’re identifying the dangers and sometimes helping. The lion’s share is on us.
Remember when he called us all “sub” tards in regard to the H1-B visa discussions.

I think we’re lucky this tantrum and the H-1B episode came out. Here’s the real Elon. We may not get the full story of what happened in the WH, but we know how he feels about his cheap labor now. If he would have held all this in, let’s say, to a more opportune time, he could have done some real damage. He still can create havoc, but it’s not going to be as he stands by President Trump.

I’m awed by his intellect and, sometimes, by his ‘refreshing individuality’, but he is weird. The way he dragged his young son around with him to serious government meetings, and other places unsuitable for young children, was odd and almost farcical.
But then again, we have more than a few bizarre characters in government, and we are increasingly obliged to accept the outlandish as our cultural norm.
Controlling one’s emotions is among the most difficult of human hurdles. At times, even more difficult than launching rocket ships. We are told self-control can be mastered with great effort. But in his case a bitter lesson might give it a boost. So good luck, Elon!
I was watching a movie last night called ‘Black Book’, the English name for a Dutch movie by director Paul Verhoeven about a Jewish woman in the Dutch underground who went undercover, infiltrating the Nazis, after they had murdered her family in front of her before she escaped.
It chronicled a lot of what you brought up, controlling emotions. Imagine doing that with your life on the line every moment of every day and one slip meaning a bullet in the head. Daunting. People in real life did it, and do it, today. Props to them. I don’t know that I could be that controlled.
If SpaceX and Starship have taught me anything it’s that Elon has a unique style in how he approaches challenges. It’s often ugly and seemingly chaotic but the results have been historic. Because of the information revolution, we get to witness the good, the bad, and the ugly, often in real time. How we handle that emotionally is good information for us to learn from.

a classy act on the part of Trump would be to reassure the nation that all of these Telsa terrorists are still being pursued and will be brought to full justice. He does these free-form gab sessions with the media all the time, so he could easily work that in.
Also, maybe he could auction off his Tesla for charity and give the proceeds to a group that helps people deal with Asperger’s. That would be classy thing to do.
He walked right up to an apology but did not actually apologize. The tweets were mean spirited. The Epstein tweet was defamatory. Statute of limitations is likely 4 years. We will see what happens. I doubt we see him at the WH much, if at all. Obviously he has problems. it is good for the country and MAGA that he is gone.

Personally, I think Trump’s withdrawal of Jared Isaacman to head NASA was the trigger.
But at issue is how Musk cannot control his thumbs.
I think Musk’s statement that Trump should be impeached so Vance could advance,
let the cat out of the bag. It was a preview of a plan not ready to hatch. Nothing personal. Just business. And there you go.

Elon is a big, lovable genius baby given to occasional tantrums. When my 6-year-old nephew called me fat and stupid it stung but then I I realized I was dealing with an emotionally immature human being. That in a way is Elon. I think his uncle Donald will forgive him.
Jekel and Hyde are typical of mani-depressives (now called ‘bi-polar’), and I’d guess Musk has some of that in him: witness his histrionic behavior at the rallies in PA and in the White House after the inauguration. So a few disappointments (small DOGE results compared to wild claims; failure of Musk’s choice for NASA Administrator; attacks on Tesla; etc.) and the ebullience gives way to angst, and then resentment.
I think President Trump handled it well, with calm and sympathy. The tempest is over, and the teapot lukewarm. I don’t think we’ll see a lot of Elon in the White House, but I think the President will continue to wax enthusiastic over his accomplishments in Space and Communications. We need Musk’s expertise, and his enthusiasm, especially for the Space Force and the Golden Dome.

@sundance great analysis at the end of your blog with the Palantir graphic. That was my thinking after I read Elon’s non apology, apology. Peter Thiel, Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos and the other tech bros probably messaged and or called Elon and said WTF bro we are so close to getting Palantir AI throughout the U.S. government and eventually the whole world while also having JD Vance as the heir apparent and you just had to f*%k it up and give away the whole plan and Trump will screw it all up by holding up everything. The tech bros probably told Elon to do whatever it takes to fix it with Trump so that the tech bros can get back to the Palantir implementation business to take over the world. Also, moving forward I think 47 will Elon the Mike Walz treatment. Elon will be there but just like in a divorce you just talk to the other person because of the kids. Other than that no reason to communicate with the other person. In this case Trump will use Elon for the simple things and the part of where Elon was a part of the family relationship Trump had with Elon is forever gone. It will just be a business transactional relationship now.
I haven’t seen anyone recently mention the writings of Naomi Wolfe and if I understood the gist it was that it was a big data mining operation (the DOGE assessments).
Exactly! That’s what I always thought from the beginning and the DemonRats and RINOS knew that it was a data mining operation and couldn’t care at all.

I am with Sundance on this one I think. Elon is looking out for himself and friends ultimately-both in power games, influence, and financial clout . This clash was brought about partly by EV credit drop in BBB but primarily it was about disrupting MAGA movement and evertually bringing in his tech buddy VAnce to presidency sooner or later. He under rated power of MAGA mob and DJT will power -political clout .
I am hopefull Musk has learned from this but as Sundance has hinted at he may be back again when next opportunity arrives to get his friends into the white house and then max power for Musk and AI surveilance state.
I will keep praying for Musk conversion -the ultimate solution I think.

A very stable genius will defeat a very unstable genius, every time.
When Trump said maybe we should cancel all his government contracts, he wasn’t just talking about SpaceX.
While the whole spat was entertaining, don’t forget that Elon and DOGE have done this country a massive service. Rubio’s ability to crush USAID? DOGE.
Elon and DOGE dragged all that Fraud, Waste, and Graft out into the sunlight to be destroyed. $100B in waste in 3 months ain’t cheese. Much remains to be done, but they shifted the Overton Window massively away from the Government Party.
The enemy so lost their minds they lit lithium battery cars on fire…to protest elimination of fraud and graft.
I’m grateful for what Elon did, whatever his motives. Buying Twitter, going on Rogan, etc helped Trump win. The rocket-catcher sparked the public’s enthusiasm for Space which Trump was able to capitalize upon.

Following the Wall Street Journal’s report on Musk-Trump tensions easing. The New York Times further explains that Musk called President Trump late Monday night to apologize for last week’s X posts, following private discussions with Vice President JD Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles about brokering a truce on Friday.
The outreach led to an X post by Musk earlier, in which he expressed regret, saying his comments about Trump “went too far.”
Neither Musk’s nor Trump’s media teams have publicly confirmed the reconciliation. The reports rely solely on unnamed sources “briefed on the call,” meaning either one of them could just as easily take to X or Truth Social and dismiss the entire story as ‘fake news.’
How long until Musk denies the WSJ report?

UH HUH . And since when have the NYSLIMES and the WSJ reporters become “Armchair Psychoanalysts? They haven’t ever been and never will be. Printing RUMORS and INNUENDO is NOT EVEN Journalism 101. Honestly, I think this whole kerfuffle is HILARIOUS.
I don’t know what happened and I’m not going to pretend I do. As far as I know President Trump and Elon Musk are laughing their *ssses off about at what a big DEAL everyone else is making over a “supposed” tantrum Elon had that NO ONE has witnessed, in other than his posts on X.
Next thing I expect is the NYSLIMES and the WSJ to do is to create a headline ” The Bromance Between Trump and Elon” is back on. “They Have Kissed and Made Up.”
WSJ and NYT .. both have long history. Not wrong there .. next Trump/Elon Bromance rekindled

If trying to appologize, his post does not go far enough. Says he regrets SOME of the posts so he is okay with others (they were all bad). Says they went too far, so he thinks if they were less severe it would be okay? Damage is done. He was in the inner circle and will never be let back in. He was not loyal. Even a full apology does not change that fact. DJT will simply keep him at a distance. DJT will treat him like a business associate. Prior, he was a close friend. Theres no second chances.
Bad Dog! No Biscuit!

He made allegations regarding President Trump and Epstein without doing his due diligence
Elon’s attorneys probably had strokes upon seeing his tweets.
President Trump was magnanimous in his responses.
Just my humble opinion.

I believe there is a ton going on here we aren’t privy to and only time will tell what really happened or how this ends.
If Sundance is right (and he usually is) then Thiel, Ellison et all set up everything for Palantir to move into Govt like a Trojan horse to then be used to control all Americans via mass surveillance, digital ID and a social credit system – turn us all into slaves permanently and they become our permanent masters.
They positioned JD Vance to become VP. He’s doing an amazing job – he makes so much sense!
They sent Elon in to make government efficient. Wow, he found democrat honey hole money to NGO’s and exposed it for Trump to shut it down and save us all billions – Awesome!
And there are others doing similar things who will turn out to be sharks.
All these people sent in have been doing amazingly helpful things – so much so that everyone inside might come to trust them… just like the office manager or employee who is so darned nice, amazing, excellent at their job, helpful beyond anyone else, indispensable – only found later to have been embezzling from the company in a hidden way destroying profitability from within causing a bankruptcy and total disaster. Professionals who teach office management and how to avoid embezzlement will tell you to watch for that perfect employee. They come into your business specifically to gain your trust then rip you off. That could be what is currently going on here.
So, everything was on track.
They just didn’t count on Elon imploding so soon – closer to the midterms would have been better timing – and now that he has they are telling him to put his tail between his legs and get into the game again. And who “talked sense” into him and got him to apologize? JD Vance (probably Thiel too but we’ll never know). Perhaps Elon’s spectral disorder came into play and he erupted but that doesn’t change the fact it happened.
Now could it be that I am full of it and very wrong? That Elon really truly is sorry and really truly wants the very best for the American citizens and the USA and his apology is from the heart? Yes, and I’ve been wrong plenty of times before…BUT the super skeptic in me has my radar detector hitting an 11 out of 10 on this.
Elon’s inappropriate, violent actions in the White House have personified the dangers of an out-of-control AI …… aka, Palantir to move into Government like a Trojan horse to then be used to control all Americans via mass surveillance, digital ID and a social credit system – turn us all into slaves permanently and they become our permanent masters.
Occam’s razor principle would say that those are enough warnings to put a brake on the AI, silicon valley driven, political juggxrnaught especially when they want to use taxpayer’s tax $$, taxpayer’s energy, land and water sources to be able to take away our Constitutional Republic’s rights and freedoms. Why would we allow anyone to do that?
As for the threat of …..”the Chinese are already doing it, … if we don’t do it, …. they will beat us on it “….. begs the question, if the Chinese are developing such “freedom and rights” killing programs for their citizens, why would we want to copy them?
Good question. Keep AI out of the federal budget and away from our Constitutional Republic’s rights and freedoms.
MAGA isn’t just our motto, it is our duty!

Elon Musks father had it right all along.
He said his son got caught up in the heat of the DC cauldron and lost it; but, that he would get over it.
Either Musk had a clinical manic episode or it’s coordinated and planned with the WH.
Could have been premeditated theatre.
These days it’s hard to believe anything the media (including social media) say.
Premedicated theater?
Hard to believe what anyone involved with government says.
I agree. Perhaps this could justify the release of the Epstien pervs and isolate PJDT?
Musk is too unpredictable to be directed to stick to a plan that is not of his own making.
Maybe it was his plan from the beginning, but maybe PDJT thought it a useful plan? We could hope.
Ketamine abuse may be the major issue. The uswr i knew was always unstable amd alwaus right.
Is there ant source that talks about Elon and his use of that drug or is it all speculation ?
Remember, there are no coincidences. Planned, now Elon is a civilian making bank again.
Sensationalism at its best.
I agree.
Manic episode. I think he really surprised Trump. Trump had treated him like a son, in my opinion.
Saying “I regret my actions” is not an apology, more of an admission that he f’ed up. But not in the sense that he is sorry, rather that his actions didn’t produce the desired result. There is no admission of guilt here, no corrective action. Just a selfish “my plan didn’t work” statement.
I’m sorry does not apologize, and excuses don’t excuse.
It’s not our job to forgive him, we were not wronged (this time).
Elon’s apology goes rightly to the person he wronged & his repentance to God.
Forgiveness is PDJT’s to give not ours.
Do disagree with you –What Elon did was to OUR POTUS is our business.
Yes Trump can forgive him, but what Elon did he did to America and put a stain on America
For the comments for the people who have no common sense I just pass them on by now.
Just business – Elon has value and PDJT has established the pecking order. It’s all good.
He did not apologize. Why is everyone pretending?
He took the first step: acknowledging what he did was wrong.
Still not an apology. Still pretending.
No he didn’t. He probably regrets his strategy not the act
it’s not an apology. it’s similar to the half-apology Simone Biles put out (after she attacked Riley Gaines for her support of keeping only women in women’s sports), which was an ‘oh shit, i thought I’d get tons of likes and retweets, not 1000’s of negative replies.
And ask for God’s forgiveness too
who cares?
why do we think Elon Musk is important?
he is always self aggrandizing
The below is a great example.

“He is universally an admitted failure, has no will, no courage, no executive capacity.”
That sounds like something Karl Rove could have written for his Thursday op-ed in the “Wall Street Journal”!
Who are you talking about ?
That is a quote from you. Who then are you referring to?
Yeah , after a while I saw where she got it from lol.
😉
ol turd blossom
Those things were said by his “friends” and closest associates also. It took a 160 year propaganda campaign to create the Lincoln myth.
Elon only fed the beast.
Well said.
Those files are never getting released.
You are probably right about that–which is why Elon’s text is even more hurtful.
If the Epstein list was released and Trump wasn’t on it, (And he’s not) people will remember Elon as a liar .
I don’t need the list to know that Elon is a liar!
Musk has Asperger’s.
Exactly..
Our son has it. I have seen the emotional dramatic outbursts a hundred times.
And?
What – you think PDJT is a shrinking violet Nancy boy and suffers fools? You must be new, lol.
So?
So? So see my reply above.
I won’t tongue kiss any man. Count me out.
My long opinion.
TreeperInTraining–I agree with you
Number one reason he should refrain on X
Thank you.
More than ‘stupid’ s***. It’s ignorant nastiness, .. the kind that think they have everything figured out.
I thought he had Regerts
Idk why people are mad at you. High functioning autism does cause the individual suffering from it to lash out due to emotional overload.
People don’t agree that it’s a valid excuse for Elon’s behavior.
Adults can disagree without being mad at Peggy.
So what is that an excuse?
I never was a fan of main-streaming.
That is a well done response, bravo!! I mean it too.
Perfectly stated!!
This is very similar to my thinking as well. I too think Elon looked at Trump like a Father figure, and that he sperged out when he didn’t get his way on something.
He knows he screwed up and no doubt deeply regrets it. But Trump is not his Father and he does not have to let him back in.
Elon is estranged from his biological father (Errol Musk) also.
Praying for PDJT and Elon.
Well said. Thank you
I’m telling you, the whole thing was fake
I agree. I think that the whole thing was role playing to trigger some event. Hey the Dems were calling for the release of the Epstein Files.
Musk has achieved the unique roll of being hated by the left and the right. Who’s left to buy his cars? A big enough financial decline and he may be forced to take SpaceX public and I’m buying.
Maybe a few private billionaires will buy one of his starships. Maybe the Jefferson model.
if elon keeps it up, they’ll be able to buy it for a song
Nobody knows better than President Trump that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. If nothing else, this little “spat” got people talking about DOGE cuts!
Time to go torture my patients, you kids go have some fun, k?
An apology starts with:
“I apologize to you for …….”
Regrets or even saying you are sorry is NOT an apology.
I think the version I hear the most today is ‘my bad‘. What is that anyway? Is that like my generation calling something ‘cool’?
How would AI handle such a matter? It reminds me of the ‘Changeling‘ episode of Star Trek. Error, error, must sterilize. Heh.
It’s a ball player thing.
Elon tried to worm his way into getting classified info on China, before PDJT put a stop to it. Musk has been out of his ‘lane’ more than once, here.
Oh…I think good old Elon learned an important lesson about burning bridges….
I think Elon just figured out he did to his holdings what Liberals like to to to his cars….
He’s learning about over selling oneself and his deliverables….
He’s learning a lot of things….
Like Biden and Hunter.
And so much more …
Controlling one’s emotions is among the most difficult of human hurdles.
I remember the time Trump and Kim Jong Un were trading barbs.
i also remember how it turned out. His feud with Elon never concerned me
as there are other pressing issues.
a classy act on the part of Trump would be to reassure the nation that all of these Telsa terrorists are still being pursued and will be brought to full justice. He does these free-form gab sessions with the media all the time, so he could easily work that in.
Also, maybe he could auction off his Tesla for charity and give the proceeds to a group that helps people deal with Asperger’s. That would be classy thing to do.
Giving proceeds to an Asperger’s charity could be seen as passive-aggressive.
A slap with a velvet glove.
I don’t really care about the histrionics.
I am interested in the internal deliberations that degenerated into conflict.
OUT: Asperger’s Syndrome.
IN: Asspurger’s Syndrome.
I just think there is a lot more to this story.
Black eye.
Space-X explosions (x2).
No little ‘X’ lately.
…
Personally, I think Trump’s withdrawal of Jared Isaacman to head NASA was the trigger.
But at issue is how Musk cannot control his thumbs.
I saw SD’s $PLTR graph.
It didn’t help the $TSLA stock either.
https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/tsla
https://www.npr.org/2025/06/01/nx-s1-5419455/trump-withdraws-nasa-nominee-musk
I think Musk’s statement that Trump should be impeached so Vance could advance,
let the cat out of the bag. It was a preview of a plan not ready to hatch. Nothing personal. Just business. And there you go.
I don’t want Vince ,and I’m from Ohio. He’s smart and smooth , but too many of the same backers for Ron of “sea island”
Elon needs Space Race. Isaacman shouldn’t have stiffed Trump TajMahal back in the day. Now Elon agrees to go through Trump not around him for his satellites and space race expansion via NASA.
We’re all unique – and extraordinary people bring a lot to the table – is it too much to expect it all to be perfect?
Even our wonderful POTUS has had his moments but his positive attributes way overrode them. I’m in awe of so much of what Elon has done and I appreciate his mea culpa.
Elon is a big, lovable genius baby given to occasional tantrums. When my 6-year-old nephew called me fat and stupid it stung but then I I realized I was dealing with an emotionally immature human being. That in a way is Elon. I think his uncle Donald will forgive him.
Its not just about what musk said.
Its also about the 180 musk did.
Jekel musk and now hyde musk.
So did hyde musk loose control to jekel musk?
That sink musk carried included his credability and he threw that out with the sink.
Makes me wonder what caused the jekel to take control?
I would have thought musk could control himself better.
Now hyde musk is trying to make amends .
Jekel got out of the bag.
It was jekel musk that gave hyde musk the black eye.😳😒
Wherre’s the TRILLIONS Doge found? That’s why I have a problem with Musk.
That’s why Secretary of Treasury supposedly punched him when they argued about that.
These are the things that concern me.
Because he realizes that he is on the wrong side of history. He will be forgotten and his ideas do not matter.
Trump, doing his best to fulfill the mission that G-d himself has given each of us, is fighting a righteous battle against the powers and principalities of darkness and evil.
Trump is fighting for the good and sacred and Elon sided with evil.
Poor loser, I almost feel sorry for him.
“some”…
Frankly, from the beginning of all this, I have considered it to be “mostly theater.” It got its fifteen minutes of play in the press. 🤷♂️
Well, maybe it was seventeen minutes of play in the press. For what was really, truly, mostly theater.
Richest man in the world slaps most powerful man in the world.
Car fight! Must watch TV!!
Boom!! Binders and files coming soon!!
Musk is a genius who doesn’t have full control over his emotions. Though owner of a social media company, he doesn’t seem to get along with people all that well. If there’s a cure for that, he should be able to afford it.
No harm to Trump from the Musk dustup. None.
Musk has medical issues IMO. Mentally insecure among others. He has a purpose and that’s enough IMO.
How did he explain to Little X that they would no longer be going to see Uncle Trump?
Maybe he should lay off the drugs – it fry’s the brain
Ahem… 🙂
Regrets Tesla sliding $150B in a day.
Liar and fraud. What has been, will continue to be.
I’m sure that crew of oligarchs will reload for another shot later. But we shouldn’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.
Man child.
Perhaps Elon will be a late arrival at the Kennedy Center this evening and take the empty seat next to President Trump?
Him make heap big mistake and talk with forked tongue.
Now want to smoke piece of pipe with trump.
Trump say he don’t smoke.
elon smoke anyway.😳
He said he regrets “some” of the things he said. Epstein is just stupid. Get over it. He called for impeachment. That’s the deal breaker IMO. He sounded like a Democrat
He is the largest donor on planet earth to the Republican Party and the America First Movement.
Don’t let his ketamine addiction distract you from that reality.
JMO.
MAGA / America First was funded just fine for the first 3+ years and would have continued through year 4
……… elon-come-lately was / is welcome to the winning side
………….. and everyone is thankful for his contributions to the winning 11/5/24 effort.
………………… but it wasn’t his ketamine that pushed him over the ledge, it was his unwelcome, personal, kinetic energy push that got him booted from the white house proper for behavior unbecoming an administrative employee.
Didn’t help his company stock either…
I think it is a little late for that, No?
Never too late to learn
All who agree with Musk on codifying DOGE cuts – Please stand up.
After all, it’s a clear mandate from the American people for the president to rein in a bloated federal government long captured by deep-state swamp creatures.
https://www.wsj.com/video/musk-says-he-regrets-some-posts-about-trump-after-explosive-fallout/A616C1CB-9FD2-4C94-BF60-352B8BFA1988
I
WSJ and NYT .. both have long history.
Tincture of time – Tincture of time explains all.
JMO.
