Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

“The song “Strawberry Letter 23” was written by Shuggie Otis. While it’s widely known through the Brothers Johnson’s cover, the original version is by Otis.
Otis, who wrote the song at the age of 17, was inspired by his romantic relationship, describing it as a love letter written in response to the 22nd letter his girlfriend had sent to him. The song originally appeared on Otis’ second album, Freedom Flight, in 1971. The Brothers Johnson later recorded a version of the song in 1977, which became a hit, reaching number one on the Soul Singles chart.

Witb tbe Army 250th Saturday, I’ve been watching, reading and listening to some Army history today and just now was catching up with Andrew (Penguin Six on Youtube) as he went in search of Army tanks in D.C. last night being unloaded at zero dark thirty.
He was walking (no vehicles, bikes, scooters allowed) in the exclusion zone to get some photos and panned his camera over to the lobby of the Jewish Holocaust Museum and explained about the flags being shown, representing the units of the U.S. Military which liberated the concentration camps during the war. Suddenly images of what those soldiers saw, heard and smelled when entering the death camps flowed over me and it was, well, bad.
No wonder my dad never talked about the war.
Remember. God bless.
✝️ Lord, thank You for the day. Amen.
