Logically, one might think that, but that would imply that President Trump is not a right minded person when in fact he is driven by patriotism and a love of country. He has suffered much abuse, and yet he continues the fight! The same sense of duty is likely the only thing that would get Elon to serve again, a sense that only another outsider can assist in draining the evils of the swamp that is DC.
Musk works for government everyday through his companies. Musk’s companies are the largest private employer for government. He’s at the taxpayer trough and has been since before Trump. He has made his wealth working for government and using government invented tools, like carbon credits and EV subsidies, to keep his companies, like Tesla, a float.
Musk does not work for the government. His companies, some of which provide goods and services to the the government through contract. Thousands if not millions of companies do the same.
Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, and on and on.
The Federal Government makes NOTHING. They rely on the public/private sector for everything.
Yes, for many years Tesla was only profitable because other car manufacturers were buying EV credits from Tesla. US tax credits go to many manufacturers. My understanding was Tesla approached Panasonic to develop/commercialize a Li-cobalt battery chemistry. Why? No one was using this obscure chemistry. It has a very high cycle life. Soo if your battery can only be charged/discharged a 1000 times. If that happens every day – your battery stops working after 3 years. Someone was thinking beyond range and actual total cost of ownership? Who would buy a car if it was known that the single largest cost component (the engine) had to be replaced every 3-4yrs.
Rockets – No one was proposing to land rockets 15 years ago. There had never been a successful commercially developed rocket to orbit before SpaceX. Interesting, after an early explosion of SpaceX rocket, the NASA experts could not contribute too much into the investigation because SpaceX uses RP1 and LOX at much lower temperatures than they had experience with. This increases the density, which increases the engine performance. SpaceX had to sue the government around 2015 timeframe because they were being locked out of classified missions. There is a whole side story on mission telemetry data and flight safety systems between SpaceX and Kennedy/Cape Canaveral Space Centers.
But – Yes, would SpaceX have survived if it did not compete for and win the ISS resupply contracts, or the ISS Crew Flights? Oh- Boeing was awarded double $ what SpaceX got for Crew Flights. These people who say the gov should not be paying SpaceX for ISS crew flights – what your alternate choice – Boeing? Putin can get your person to/from the ISS? China?
Sorry, little bit of a rant. There are many things about Musk philosophies I do not like. But, you cannot deny that Musk thinks about problems at a different level and does not follow the crowd.
If you are still reading – on a personal note. Being an electrical engineer, having extensive history with various battery chemistries. Having been informed of the cycle life issue with an EV in early 2000’s when Lead Acid was the chemistry of choice. When Tesla was all the rage back around 2016, I delved into this issue to understand what was being used, and were all these cars he is selling going to be worthless junk in the next few years. This has not happened with the Tesla cars. Now, with the Li-FePO4 being fully commercialized, which have 10000cycle life. Tesla is moving to that chemistry. But, I think they are buying them from China. Well, they do make the best Li-FePO4 batteries. I have China Batteries in my RV.
The position of Speaker would make him second in line to the office of the presidency, which is an office he can not hold as he is not a natural born citizen.

Inquiring minds want to know: Does this mean that Democraps are now free to buy Teslas again … and that keying those electric wondermobiles is now a Bozo No-No?
IMO, their insurgency corps will do whatever the lightbringers tell and pay them to. Same with the media mouthpieces. It’s all part of the same machine. Elon bad today, good tomorrow. All part of the psyop.
He will never forget the hate and attempts to destroy him. He learned from this experience that his choice to support Trump was a good and necessary choice
Agreed! Nobody wants to hang out with unpredictable, unhinged Progressives who tried to destroy his company..
My hope is that Elon will return for “quiet” audits when necessary.
Very grateful that he came to the plate for Trump and for us..
I keep hearing that, but my source in DC says Elon was unprofessional in his behavior and DJT does not allow that she he was gently pushed out. There is no reason to have a big conflict, that is not Trump’s style where it is not warranted.
Your sources in DC don’t exist, Elon said from day one his position was temporary, and you don’t need to grand stand about having sources in DC because nobody cares. Stop posting disinformation.
We need a lot more unprofessional behavior in DC. A deluge of unprofessional behavior or more. The “professionals” ARE the swamp. Our form of government has a foundation in big conflict, hence the “balance of power” written into the Constitution. “Bi-partisanship” is an evil and means that one party is unnecessary. The only clear place we need a uniparty would be in the actual defense of the Nation, and so far as anyone can tell, the uniparty has actively participated in the aggressive destruction of the Nation rather than it’s defense.
Yes they may now stop getting their cars keyed. Bless

Let’s hope that the great work he has done will escalate into an avalanche in the months and years to come. I hope he would be willing to plunge in again in a pinch.
Agreed.
I also imagine that the procedure to investigate/audit/unravel one of these behemoth govt institutions has been established : A protocol of investigating a suspected corrupt and fraud laden “business”
What DOGE learned by investigating USAID will probably quite neatly apply to all further investigations.
DOGE doesn’t need Elon anymore. But WE need DOGE.

Elon should run in every open Senate race in 2026. He could win 20 simultaneous seats. That would be fun.
We need need to go back to pre Covid spending…2019/20. No Covid spending should have been continued, the idea that a tax cut that is passed into law expires but Covid spending gets baked into the cake through CR and can never be pulled out is preposterous.
We need to go back to the FY 2008 budget that is STILL TO THIS DAY spending the One Time Trillion Dollar Stimulus™️every year, and eliminate that with the first regular order budget in 17 years… But that’s just me.
Any actual cuts that result from DOGE are just going to be handed straight to the Pentagon, plus extra, so it can all be spent on boondoggles to grease the pockets of the military industrial complex. See the “Golden Dome” for example, a boondoggle that will cost trillions and that will never work.
As a special non-confirmed government consultant he was limited to 120 days, which has just expired.

Well, it seems that poor Elon has found a way to piss off nearly the entire auto buying population. First, those of us on the right would never purchase such a bastardization of a vehicle, then after changing horses politically, the left began torching his vehicles as a protest to his new allegiance. Now, whenever I see a Tesla on the road, I can’t wonder if they are radical lefty or radical righty? Thank you for all else you have done Elon to right America’s ship.

Drove by the massive Tesla site the last couple of weeks just east of Austin. Transports carrying Teslas were up & down the road. I would not bet against the genius of this man. DOGE has exposed the grifters that we elect to serve our country. We the people must hold them accountable. This deficit will catch up with us sooner or later.
Elon’s rich red color on the Teslas is snappy. I don’t have room or need a nother car but if I did, would buy one to show support for him and company. Maybe a mobile starlink for backup someday.

I think Elon Musk is one of the most interesting people of this time period. He’s the man in the arena, so he’ll take slings and arrows and garner glory, maybe in equal measure. We all try to reduce people to cardboard cutouts or caricatures in less than 500 characters, but at the same time Musk is the real life version of Tony Stark. He’s neither entirely good nor entirely bad, and maybe that makes him even more relatable.
I would speculate he feels conflicted about his government service, but I thank him for it.

Musk has paid a very high price for doing the right thing.
Yet, somehow, creating another Bureaucracy to root out waste in the larger Bureaucracy seems like planting more seeds to grow weeds in the garden.
WTF do we have Politicians for? Getting value for every extorted tax dollar ought to be Priority One.
Yes, just what is the OMB supposed to be doing that they haven’t done – ever, I guess. And there are more in the government that should have stepped up. How about the presidents! None since Reagan have done anything productive until PDJT got in office the first time. They just get in office and ride the current, never making waves. Never going outside the nine dots. Only adding to their take.

Under the category of ‘Special Government Employee’ – those who fall under that category, which Elon Musk did, are only allowed to work for 130 days, and according to a post on twitter/x, that 130 days ends tomorrow, Friday.
The interesting thing is that those DOGE people, from what I’ve read, they have been hired as actual employees for the various agencies they have been doing their work in, such as the one recently interviewed alongside Sec.Treas. Bessent, that man is an official Treasury dept. employee, and even he acknowledged he set aside running his real business for a period of 6 months – so DOGE is an ongoing process and I suspect as those who voluntarily stepped up begin their return to their real lives that they will have trained either existing fed. employees in the agencies they are tasked to do their DOGE work or they will most certainly helped in vetting new agency employees to carry the work forward.
That’s actually a nice model of temporary govt. employees, come to D.C., serve a while, then return to their lives, is in sync with what our nation’s Founders envisioned.
Now to get elected representatives to embody that tradition. DOGE, and Elon Musk, have set a nice example it will be nice to see followed going forward.
I was taught that the citizen statesmen concept was what the original framers intended.
Elected representatives from the communities who came, served a term and then RETURNED to their communities having done their nation a service.
NOT a professional politician class akin to parasites.
Elon stood at the top of the mountain and got the snowball rolling. Let’s keep it going until it’s an avalanche coming down on all that government fraud.

The WH used the corruption that was uncovered for PR, mostly. Congress, like usual, did nothing, when they could have done so much. So Musk must be very discouraged after all the efforts he and his team made, and the hatred they endured.
Rescissions package of DOGE cuts will be going to Congress next week. That will tell the tale of who really is sincere in cutting waste.

The fed govt system *hates* newcomers/non-lifers who come into the program trying to improve anything, or trying to be innovative and more efficient.
They respect lifer deadbeats who spend the days calculating their financially optimal retirement date.
A non-lifer like Musk with intelligence and energy is seen as a threat and a pest by the lifers (who have zero interest in doing anything better b/c they are there for the salary and benefits and pension).

They found alot … but won’t be front page news … will get swept under the carpet and can kicked down the road. Elon Musk for House Speaker!!!
I don’t think Elon has any interest to work in government again.
After seeing how corrupt it is, no right minded person would.
Corruption is so deep, DC has to go down before it can be built up.
Yes, the Jenga tower. If you rooted all he corruption out of government, there would only be ruins left.

National Hero! Not his fault Congress has no will to cut spending, even the waste and fraud. More GOP duds need to be primaried.
My thoughts exactly, first and last.
Elon stood at the top of the mountain and got the snowball rolling. Let’s keep it going until it’s an avalanche coming down on all that government fraud.
Thank God for Musk. Repubs didn’t have the balls to address the waste fraud and abuse and Democrats downright WANTED the waste fraud and abuse.
This was planned and scheduled. He never was going to be in the government full time. He was on a short term ‘contract’.
He was there to jump start DOGE and give it a big push.
The Left will make up all sorts of stories about him and Trump being at outs…. etc. etc….
All for nothing but the optics unfortunately, since the DOGE cuts will never be codified by the RINO wing of the uniparty.

Bannon is glad that Elon is gone…he was so jelly of Trump-Musk relationship.
But Trump stated months ago that Musk would step away in 120days.
The MuskDerangementSyndrome will continue but I thank Elon for DOGE and Statlink.
I miss his input and lilX too. Trump and Elon will still communicate and be silent partners.
Call 📞 202 224 3121 and speak to your House rep and senators to #CodifyDOGE
Lil’ X stole the hearts of many, including mine. There was nothing cuter than he and PDJT headed to the helicopter, then holding hands. So sweet.
Atlas Shrugged.
Thank you President Trump and Elon Musk for EXPOSING the WASTE, FRAUD and ABUSE.
It is clear as crystal…
WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE OUR WAY OUT OF A MARXIST AMERICA.
Didn’t Sundance say Musk will turn on Trump in 2026?
Pray for the spiritual and physical protection of Elon and his family. He has a gift and can bless mankind in so many ways.
Have you changed your prediction that Elon will turn on Trump by June?
Hopefully in the battle for the human soul Elon will never go over to the dark side.

Holy FAIL, Batman! Tim Walz Tries Throwing SHADE at Elon Musk for Leaving Trump Admin and HELLO Backfire
They always default to stupid.
and the corrupt RINO Congress & RINO, say, nice to meet you, so long pal, thanks but no thanks, DOGE is DOA
Yes, He shed some much needed sunlight on what the leftists & RINO’s have been doing in the government for years.
I think Elon entered DOGE with a lot of optimism that what they uncovered would be dealt with. They found alot … but won’t be front page news … will get swept under the carpet and can kicked down the road. The huge disappointment is congress and Trump and the ‘big beautiful bill’ that deals with none of it … sad. Need to vote everyone out… I know … not likely to happen.
Dear Elon,
Thank you for your time and efforts. How many of the 400 + federal agencies were you able to DOGE?
Congress, please do your job and codify the DOGE cuts!
