I know from reading Jamaican history that the numbers below are inaccurate wrt to the number of women and children sent there. There were many thousands more than reported here.
But it’s a quick read to underscore your point.
The practice was to send women and girls plus boys under 14 to Jamaica during times of uprising in Ireland.
“In the 17th century, 52,000 Irish women and children were sold as slaves to Barbados and Virginia. Another 30,000 Irish men and women were also transported and sold to the highest bidder. In 1656, Cromwell ordered that 2,000 Irish children be taken to Jamaica and sold as slaves to English settlers1. Elliott O’Donnell estimated that 6,000 boys and girls were transported as slaves from Ireland to Jamaica, and that the total number transported there and to Virginia amounted to 10,0002.”

Another peonage/slavery has developed which harms us.
The US Constitution provides for “securing” patents and copyrights only for Authors and Inventors themselves, to their respective Writings and Discoveries. The 13th Amendment prevents involuntary servitude, and the 1987 Peonage Act prevents State peonage.
But virtually all State (and private) universities now require graduate students and professors to assign all their inventions and software (copyright) to their universities. There is no choice, because they all do it now. Our best, smartest and most creative people are concentrated at universities during their most productive early careers. This peonage is responsible for the decline of US technology leadership. Economists are ‘baffled’ aboout this decline, well-apparent by the mid 80’s.
Universities famously used to collaborate with startups and industry after WW2 through the 1970’s. Professors and students went back-and-forth between industry and teaching. Companies funded grad students and research. Grad students and professors owned their inventions and software they wrote. Famous examples are Sanford/Hewlett-Packard and the rest of the explosion of technology during that time period.
Universities then began to draw massive funding from Congress, and concluded that “industry” was their prey, not their collaborators. The patent law was changed in 1982 (and detrimentally more later) and Universities required all students and professors to assign all their future inventions (not just those funded by the US Government) to their University. There is no choice – all Universities did this. A monopoly peonage system. Intellectual slavery (of the primary skill of the slaves-technical creativity) forced by the States at State Universities.
Software continued to be owned by the software writers, which facilitated continuation of US software creative leadership for a while. But Universities then (apparently thinking they should have owned and gotten royalties for the internet) later required students and professors to also assign any and all future software copyright to their universities. So we lost both technology (invention) and software leadership.
US Government employees who make inventions, however,now own their inventions without the Government even getting a practical license, after patent law changes reportedly made through NIH. So NIH employees can own and license drug inventions, while they ‘create’ and award their grant topics, and while the FDA controls drug approvals. A quite classic organizational conflict of interest. Remarkable!!!
Abraham Lincoln pointed out that “The patent system added the fuel of interest to the fire of Genius”. This effective involuntary servitude – university peonage – removed the “fire of interest”. Why work hard to invent, when the university has already taken all your future inventions? Better to spend time trying to get funding with something within government employee-originated funding Topics, and publishing “minimum publishable units”.
Universities have primary interest in those few drug inventions which can be licensed for big bucks. Inventions which take more work and development are not within the university wheelhouse. Most State universities have money-losing licensing efforts. Why would grad students and professors at State universities even bother the hard work of invention? This has adversely affected our national tech capability. Why would US companies, now university licensing prey, collaborate or share new tech areas openly? They only collaborate with US professors in very limited and controlled situations, and instead go abroad for better conditions.

What if all work is done at a location completely separate and away from a university and the person only used personal equipment, computers, etc.?
The universities typically require pre-assignment of all inventions and software within the professor or grad students ‘area of expertise”. Which is of course where they would invent. It would not matter if the work (much of which is ‘thinking’ as well as testing) was done remotely. IIRC, some states by law, such as Illinois, prohibit forced assignment of inventions which do not use employer resources or confidential information. Of course, universities are supposed to teach, not be in ‘business’ with confidential technical information to support their ‘business’. Even more evil, it is the professors (and grad students/researchers) who generate the technology themselves to get funded and get published. Universities have moved WAY beyond their original mission to teach, which gained them tax and other special status. And its not like a business paying a salary. The students pay tuition, and professors even need to get enough funding from their own ideas to support themselves and their grad students, but also the EXTREME bureaucratic overhead that has grown with university expansion beyond teaching. Didn’t RFKjr say during recent congressional questioning that the NIH ‘overhead” on grants can be 70+% of the amount that would go to the actual research? The professors need to fund same bureaucracy that steals inventions from them and thei gradstudents-researchers. What a scheme!!
Another issue state universities ignore. If there is licensing or other stock/revenue from inventions taken from professors/etudents, shouldn’t (by the same logic) that revenue go directly into the State Treasury that funds the university? crickets….

My guess would be the unintentionally misleading results of decades of public school curriculum that began to be developed in the early 20th century, focused on things American, a distant secondary attention on things European (where most Americans hailed from then), and only superficial interest in the rest of the world, geared mostly to “world geography” with holdovers of attitudes that everywhere else has had fairly primitive multifarious weird cultures of all kinds that don’t particularly impact what students need to know for United States history and law, in order to be functional voting citizens and a future work force.

I don’t think even ‘permanent’ residents should be able to own land. The solution there (and with foreign businesses who do things like build plants) is to allow them to only LEASE the land required for their business or personal residence. Then if they don’t become a citizen within a certain number of years (say 25), the land is returned.
In the case of businesses they could have an extension clause in it so that as long as they take care of the land (don’t fill it and the nearby environment with toxic chemicals and waste) and maintain the business employing American citizens they could extend the lease for another 25.

The history of Harvard is that it was founded by Americans for Americans to educate Americans so we would compete with and eventually surpass the elite universities overseas. Now, this is something that is used to empower foreign governments to give our intellectual knowhow to foreign leaders to clandestinely educate Xiinping’s daughter, not tell anyone about it until a decade later, and let her take whatever she’s learning back to the CCP. All of this stuff feels fundamentally against the original vision for Harvard and certainly against what anything we would want to spend nine billion dollars on. Where is the disconnect here between the Democrats and anyone who is defending this behavior and where we’re at here in Trump’s America?

You have huge portions of the California power base. Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsome as China effectively offers California a lifeline and is doing development deals. And so you have this skating towards where the puck is going. And the the problem is that puts the United States in a death spiral because they’re not actually advancing US interests as they do it. And part of that is I think the US State Department as well as the Central Intelligence Agency and aspects of our defense department have moved into this as well as the contractors have seen the markets in China and have seen the markets in other hostile foreign nation states. I think this is a lot of what was behind the Iran deal, this this move to open up the oil and gas and Trump put a ban on that during his administration. But then two months into the Biden administration, China bought uh in March 2021, China signed a $400 billion deal with Iran to buy their oil and gas.
Like I’ve said and the 2014 Princeton study proved (as would just casual observation), the US is a corporate oligarchy and has been for a VERY long time.

Now that Establishment Rino Governor Kemp can’t run for governor anymore, we have a governor election in 2026.
Current Republican AG has already announced. As I recall, he has been completely silent on all the election irregularities, fraud and corruption in Georgia elections. I don’t think he has said a word about Fulton County or the law suits against SOS Brad Raffensperger concerning the Dominion Voting Machines. So, to me, he is another Establishment Rino similar to Kemp.
Lt. Governor Burt Jones has not announced, but I think he is certainly more MAGA than Carr.
Also, there is an election for Senator as well. Jon Ossoff is the Democrat incumbent. Now the current Establishment Rino Brad Raffensperger is considering running against Ossoff. The polls say they are currently neck n neck if Raffensperger runs. Raffensperger eagerly worked with the Democrats setting up the 2020 election, mail-in voting, drop boxes, signature variations and the use of Domonion machines. He has never said a word about all the irregularities, fraud and corruption evidence found in GA elections and he vigorously supports the continued use of Dominion machines even though they have been found to be easily corruptible in court testomnoies.
We need strong MAGA leadership to provide high level of support to get MAGA candidates nominated and elected. Otherwise, I fear we will continue to have Establishment UniParty RINOs elected or Democrats as GA move more Blue.

The big beautiful bill President Trump supports has a provision the left is shrieking about. It goes back to earlier times where the challenging party is required to put up bond to provide costs through the legal process. The reasoning is this prevents frivolous suits by parties who may not truly suffer. The left claims this breaks at least century long tradition but in reality it allows easy challenges by leftist groups without much risk while facilitating judge shopping. The result is the continual stream of cases against the Trump Administration executive orders. Don’t like an order? Just find a favorable judge, get a no cost injunction. Here’s there take:

If they don’t rule that way, how can the Trump Administration perform as the Executive Branch? What choice then but to ignore the judicial system entirely?

Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(c), judges can issue injunctions “ONLY IF” the suing party posts a bond to cover potential damages if they’re wrong. But guess what? This rule is hardly used!
When I was in the White House, in Trump’s first term, I suggested this, but DOJ didn’t make it happen. Imagine if we had applied this to the travel ban – activists would think twice before blocking policies with potentially billions at stake.
For national injunctions, we’re talking bonds in the hundreds of millions or even billions. It will become prohibitive unless the activists have a slam dunk case.

The court may issue a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order only if the movant gives security in an amount that the court considers proper to pay the costs and damages sustained by any party found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. The United States, its officers, and its agencies are not required to give security.
This is not discretionary and the court cannot assess a “de-minimus” security amount either; it must be defensible predicated on the costs and damages that the other party may or will suffer with the evidence of same in the order itself if the injunction or TRO issues until disposition of the case and the posting of said security has to be completed before the TRO or injunction is valid.

No, demanding this only on a forward basis for future filings is not enough — force the movants in all the existing injunctions to either post up security or dissolve the injunctions and TROs.

Citizens for Ethical Responsibility in Washington just yesterday, Friday.

It’s also a reminder that some of our own patriots, the J6’ers, aren’t all out of the woods either. Any news on Kellye SoRelle? She was going to be sentenced for the felony she pleaded guilty to right before PDJT was inaugurated. I couldn’t find any record of her being pardoned. She was the Oath Keeper’s lawyer. That’s one example.
Also, members of our own convoy that went up against the machine in D.C. are now in the system, a few of them harassed and at least one I know personally of was jailed without bail in WVA, then extradited to MD, then jailed until a constitutional lawyer got him out. Offense? Blocking traffic on a freeway with his fire truck. Citation? Nope, dispersed with a warning. Later arrested as a fugitive from justice.
That’s the machine. All those humans in that machine that persecuted us are still out there, vertical and breathing and collecting a nice paycheck and pension.
It’s not as if I don’t care about starving children, but when I saw the stories about the children about to die in 48 hours, they looked really fake to me.
I will be acknowledging Memorial Day this year at my church tomorrow. I provide the American Legion poppies (which I buy) and they are always appreciated by all. I don’t get much in the way of donations but have raised $22 over the last several years. I wish every conservative church would do this.

It’s not rocket science, merely providing an unredacted copy of the affidavit from when, 2021? It appears the original revelation of this by O’Keefe occurred on Feb 6, 2025, so some three months ago.
