OH SNAP! The Governor of Georgia has signed SB 244 into law, which means the Trump legal team could now force Fani Willis to pay their attorney fees in the “RICO” case she brought against him.
The law states: “(b) If the disqualification of the prosecuting attorney results in the criminal case being dismissed against the defendant who filed the motion for disqualification due to improper conduct, the defendant who filed the motion for disqualification shall be entitled to an award of all reasonable attorney’s fees and costs incurred by the defendant in defending the case.
(c) The defendant who filed a successful motion for disqualification of a prosecuting attorney based upon the misconduct of such prosecuting attorney shall file a motion for reasonable attorney’s fees and costs upon the termination of the underlying criminal case. The judge to whom the criminal case was assigned shall consider such motion for reasonable attorney’s fees and costs and shall award such reasonable attorney’s fees and costs as provided under this Code section to such defendant.”

Laws are not suppose to be retroactive, so this law will most likely be for future Fannies and not for this one. No matter how much I would like to see her pay, I don’t want the government to be able to use retroactive laws against any of us. Once that slippery slope starts only nightmares will follow.

The Austin Police Department arrested one of four suspects for the murder of Infowars reporter Jamie White outside his Texas home on March 9.
Eloy Adrian Camarillo, 17, has confessed to police that White, 36, was shot during an attempted vehicle burglary by him and three of his friends.
Camarillo and his friends were seen approaching Kia vehicles because they are notoriously easy to steal.
The killers had broken a window and entered White’s Kia Soul vehicle to “go for a joy ride,” according to Camarillo, when he approached them to try and stop the theft.

Last October my husband bought a 2016 Kia Soul for $900 from an online auto auction, not knowing how many miles it had on it, or if it worked at all.
The body and inside looked great, except for the fact that someone had broken into it and ripped the lock mechanism out — to take it for a joy ride, which they never got to do.
Husband was taking a calculated risk hoping he might get the car running again, which he did for another $800 — new battery, new ignition switch, and new tires. It started right up and had 63,000 miles on it.
Then he went to insure the vehicle. Our insurance company said they would NOT insure a Kia Soul; they said it was the #1 car in vehicle thefts.
He talked them into insuring the car, reminding them that we live out in the middle of nowhere and park in a garage when home.
Once the car was insured I drove it to a little town to visit a friend. When I got out and saw I’d been followed to her house by a car full of “scandinavians” I decided to sit by the front window and make sure it was not stolen. And when I got home I told my husband we needed to sell that car, which we did the next week.

And Article III courts are supposed to have a very minimal role in immigration. When the media talks about immigration courts, those are part of the executive branch and the president is in charge of them. Those courts can’t overrule the president. That is what makes all of these immigration cases so completely outrageous and why, if the Supreme Court doesn’t fix it, the President should simply ignore whatever the federal courts rule. The federal district and appellate courts have zero business taking any of these immigration/security cases and know that. Article III courts don’t get to decide who is an enemy of the U.S. or whether we’ve been invaded or review any other discretionary act by the executive branch in these areas.

My next favorite and heart throb singer/songwriter is Michael McDonald. I’m not in tune with his politics, but as a performer he’s a classy guy and a hot musician.
The only Dylan song I think Dylan performed better than anyone else was, “Lay Lady Lay”. All his other songs I thought were covered better by other artists such as The Byrds, The Turtles and Jimi Hendrix.
I ran across the captain of a small charter fishing boat whom Dylan hired for a long day. This captain claimed that Dylan was the nicest, most polite and considerate person that maybe he had ever met. This captain said he hadn’t met any famous people before and Dylan was nothing like he could ever have guessed.

I also like Tangled Up in Blue a lot. I’ve heard very few covers of it, and none I thought matched his delivery.
I’m not surprised by your charter boat captain’s impression of him. I’ve heard similar things from other sources, and I can’t recall any instance of him behaving with bad manners on or off stage. My impression of him was always that he was a man of quiet humility, and when he accepted Christ it felt like it must have been a true impression. As a artist I think he’s a once in a generation talent.
I love his version of his song Make You Feel My Love. The best IMO.
Personally I prefer all of the versions Dylan did of his songs to anyone who did a cover version (although I would be unaware of any recent covers that may exist).
In fact, after all these years, Dylan’s version of “Tambourine Man” still stirs my soul while famous covers of that song viscerally repulse me, now more than ever.

But that appreciation was all before I knew his politics and his silver spoon upbringing. Much like Taylor Swift, he was bankrolled and had every advantage. Far from the starving artist common man he portrayed himself to be, he could spend all his time on only music with the finest directors and producers, and not having to work multiple jobs to support it. Our Judicial System is now being so corrupt that laws really don’t matter. Lawyers, judges, juries can do most anything and our Supreme Court is loaded with political hacks instead of legal scholars.
Our Education system is one of the worst in the world especially considering the cost per student. Our higher institutions of learning have become so politicized that it’s lost its ability to create students that are critical thinking non-biased graduates. SpThey pride themselves in graduating radicals and activists I think.
Could go on an on but it’s depressing.
Even if President Trump is successful in growing our economy, middle class, and safety in our country and no more wars, the voters will be happy, but the institutions will become even more corrupt resisting policies that actually work.

Agree with Cleveland’s reading of where this is heading: I listened to the proceedings – the birthright issue is not the focus of this – there was no ‘record’ being argued, no ‘case or controversy’ that made its way up from a trial court. The trial court is where the record is made – the facts of a case which are in issue. Here it was tangential, coming about due to an EO prohibiting BR citizenship.
It makes perfect sense the Court ‘leaves BR Citizenship for another day’, and rules only on the headache these nationwide injunctions are creating. Even though Kagan-Sotomayor and Brown are chomping at the bit to issue an opinion BRC means anyone born in the US or its territories are conferred with citizenship, its just not going to go there without a record. That’s how I see it anyway.

Sotomayor is biased in her perception of citizenship. Like so many others who have risen on DEI, she blatantly believes in the inherent superiority of immigrants. This will sway her to want to extend citizenship to as many non-natives as possible. This should no longer get a free pass anymore than the ridiculous belief that people of color can’t commit hate crimes against whites.
