Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.

They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.

Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.

All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.

They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.

You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.

You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.

They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.

You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.

It would be dangerous for Russia to negotiate anything when a definitive decree is in force in Ukraine, which prohibits any form of negotiation with Russia. There was such great coverage of President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia yesterday.

Some of the commenters were asking: why are we dealing with Saudi Arabia, their culture is so different than ours, our cultures are incompatible, why is President wasting his time there?

With all of that in mind, I am reminded of a tactic in negotiations. That tactic is to focus on what you have in common first.

President Trump in one of his UN Addresses cited the importance of respecting each other country’s cultures.

A brief flurry of media reports last month criticized letters sent to medical journals by Edward R. Martin Jr., the former interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, who questioned whether journals have become “partisans in various scientific debates.” One liberal academic called the letters “fascist tactics” designed “to intimidate academic journals” triggering similar allegations across the media.

“Experts worry this will have a chilling effect on publications,” reported the New York Times, noting that an obscure journal called CHEST had been targeted.

“DOJ questions science journal about bias, triggering free-speech concerns,” reported the Washington Post, adding that three major publishers of medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and Health Affairs, said they had not received letters, while publisher Springer Nature chose not to comment. NPR reported last week that the New England Journal of Medicine had in fact received a letter as had the American Medical Association’s journal JAMA.

The DisInformation Chronicle has learned that the actual target of Martin’s letters is the Nature Springer journal Nature Medicine, publisher of a highly controversial paper “Proximal Origin” which has faced charges of corruption and calls for retraction. A source inside the Department of Health and Human Services said Trump officials suspect the paper is a quid pro quo, written by the authors to dismiss the possibility of a lab accident and who then received a large grant months later from Tony Fauci.

Food & Wine Magazine – Over the past several years, the conversation around transparency in tequila has largely centered on the use of additives and the precise language producers can use on their bottles to describe what’s been added—or not added—to the spirit inside. However, this week, that conversation shifted to the purity of the agave spirit itself, as a class action lawsuit filed in U.S. federal court accused global spirits giant Diageo of adulterating some of its most popular luxury tequilas and misleading consumers through deceptive labeling.

The class action complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York alleges that “an investigation of Casamigos and Don Julio tequilas has shown that they consist of significant concentrations of cane or other types of alcohol rather than pure tequila.” 

As such, the complaint contends that neither brand meets the regulatory requirements to label itself “100% agave” in either the United States or Mexico, although both Casamigos and Don Julio bottles carry the descriptors “Tequila 100% Agave Azul” and “100% de Agave,” respectively.

SO, the US GOV’T paid 50 million a year to the episcopal church and no doubt many other religious organizations to do the dirty work and facilitate in human trafficking with taxpayer money under biden. Citizens complained that the federal government was hiding all kinds of fraud – politicos were getting rich fleecing their citizens.

Oddball senators like Bill Proxmire in years past and Rand Paul published the most egregious examples of government waste.

Citizens said they wanted full transparency so they could find all the fraud and fix it – balance the budget and then some.

Just show the fraud – transparency – that alone would fix the problem. Citizens will take action and vote these guys out.

The big Lefty media squelched all conservative thought – if only conservatives had a place to be heard.

Well, Elon and the boys published grotesque examples, by the thousands, of government workers stealing from the till. The types of pocket-lining in the federal government would be prosecuted in the private sector.

Those are all the media talking points, yes.

Or you could look at it as a certification system that incentivizes operational efficiency over lifetime efficiency. It creates regulatory burdens that act as barriers to entry, keeping the big manufacturers in control of the market. And it could easily be done by a non government agency if the public actually wanted electricity efficient appliances.

My GE dishwasher I replaced in Nov 2024 is super electricity efficient, but the plastic shelves are already warping and sagging. It uses so little water, it now takes 3 hours to run a full load, which means it’s generating noise for most of the morning. And thanks to anti-phosphate regulations, I have to use special packets, extra blue liquids made of who knows what, and get all this calcium buildup from hard water in my muni water system. So it takes longer, moved the expense to the other pocket, and it doesn’t seem to wash any better at the end of the day. So how did Energy Star really help?
