So what if the pandemic response was run by national security agencies according to a biodefense/counterterrorism playbook, rather than by public health agencies according to public health guidelines? And why is it surprising that most countries responded in similar ways?

Debbie and a woman she works with, Sasha Latypova, are among those who insist that RFK Jr. has the power right now to repeal the PREP Act.
Congress is needed to change the law, but revoking EUA and revoking PREP Act declaration for covid is 100% HHS Scy authority, alone, requiring no Congress or Judicial branch review. This is unconstitutional, but currently that’s how the law is written. They used it to pull the covid crime in 2020, they can very well use it to stop the crime they themselves initiated.

My grandmother had a child who died at age four, from an illness that they now have a shot for.

I’m just trying to point out that when people use some form of “we used to do okay before vaccines”, that’s not enough of an argument against them.
We only improved as a species when hygiene, clean water, and other first world habits came into being.
Vaccines had little to do with the protection of the species.
I had an uncle with crippling Polio as a child, went through many years on crutches, Dr.s 1940’s told him he would never be normal again.
Played baseball in high school despite the limp he carried throughout his life, Joined the Army and later became an engineer for a Railroad. Died at the ripe age of 82 father of 4 children and quite a successful life.

Childbirth in a Hospital claimed many lives because of very poor sanitation.

I am not hearing much said, about babies and the maternal immunity that they carry until about age of 6 months of age, give or take. At six months and again, around six years…immunity changes and risk of illness increases.

Some vaccines may make sense, but not all. The sheer number of vaccines is absurd. God has given us a robust immune system, but the medical establishment, by and large, no longer recognizes God. There is also an unholy alliance between big pharma and politicians, that big pharma is allowed to sway a politician to vote FOR another vaccine added to the schedule by giving money to said politician is wrong. Did you know that EVERY baby born is jabbed with the Hep B vaccine before they leave the hospital they were born in?! Why?! Hep B is largely transmitted by sex and iv drug use! Why does America have such an explosion of auto immune diseases? Could it be we have tinkered with the immune system too much? Could we maybe slow down, learn to eat right, feed our children proper nutrition and let their God given immune system work as it was designed to do?

Around 1997, I was working in a very high tech cardiovascular ICU that was a national referral center. We had an awful lot of late adolescents with cardiovascular autoimmune diseases requiring surgery. Did we see a lot because it was a referral center or because of the timing of certain vaccines? The real estate tax only benefits those who have more than $29,200+ (Joint) or $14,600+ (Single) in Deductions to subtract from the Federal Income Tax.
That means only those above the TOP 10% INCOME Brackets are most likely impacted.

Depending on where you live, this effects most people, not just those in the top 10% of income. Where I live, property taxes on a typical middle class house can easily be greater than $20K a year, and if you add state income taxes for two earners on top of it, you’re looking at $60K a year total, and we’re not talking about rich people. So it effects millions of people, not just the very wealthy.
So the top level of income earners will, per the drafted bill, get an additional $20k write off (from $10k to $30k) while the rest of us get a pittance if we use the standard deduction. Personally I thought the $10k was low but I didn’t expect it to be tripled.
Repeal of Real Estate and SALT deduction will help working families.
It’s hard to be optimistic about our National Debt. Growth, imo, is the only way out other than bankruptcy.

Seniors get screwed again. The House released what they call the “Trump approved House plan”, but it has no provision for “no tax on Social Security”.
Instead, they threw a bone with a $4,000 “bonus” standard deduction for seniors with moderate incomes ($75K single / $150K joint cap), available 2025–2028.
President Trump should tell them to get back to the drawing table and do what he promised or expect a veto. Seniors have been getting screwed for years as the threshold for taxing SS has never increased for 40 years of inflation.
But the majority of seniors would not end up paying any taxes with the new increase for standard deductions, correct?
False. If you assume that most seniors have only social security and no other income that might be true. But most seniors do have other income.

No taxes on social security means it isn’t subject to tax at any level of income. That is what he promised. It has nothing to do with taxing other income. It’s the other income that makes part or all of social security taxable.

Even with the new exemption of $4k, most seniors that were paying tax on social security will still be paying a tax on it , albeit a little less. Most of those seniors in that $75k/$150k bracket will still end up paying a tax on social security.
Remember, the standard deduction comes after you have included all of your income subject to taxation.
That $4k exemption was nothing but a chicken bone thrown in to appease seniors, but they will soon discover that it means very little to them.
I agree. My taxes on our married combined Social Security will be about $10,000.

That’s the problem with these tax bills. They are convoluted and sneaky. Always some small detail easy to overlook but hard to correct once passed. PDJT won’t veto but he should. I mean, how hard is “no tax on social security”? No means testing, no sneaky provisions to diminish. No taxes.
It is a tax in the first place so a tax on tax you have already paid seems awkward. Like free Medicare you paid into all of your working life, Government just takes and takes and takes for the fabulously wealthy Political servants and you get zip.
