Um…. BS, that’s what it is. Another fabricated talking point that they can milk for a few weeks as they flail about. Then there will be another a few weeks after that, then another, and another….
Because of the cost and especially HUGE schedule overruns to produce the new replacement Air Force One planes from Boeing — now projected to take until the end of Trump’s second term for delivery!!!! — the Air Force command that flies and maintains the 2 existing old 747s have strongly recommended that a third 747 be obtained and retrofitted to be available as a backup.
This plane from Qatar is only 13 years old and a newer model 747 that the 33 year old 747s now in service. It comes with lots of performance and “creature comfort” upgrades. It would obviously have to be retrofitted with the minimum communications and security features to allow it to be used as an Air Force One — but apparently that could be done within a year.
Sounds like a good idea, as this plane could remain, presumably, as a functional backup even after the new ones finally come on line.

This “donation” from Qatar is unconstitutional, because it violates the emoluments clause, which forbids U.S. officials from accepting gifts or other things of value from foreign officials without congressional approval.
It also raises ethics questions over Trump’s connection to the Qatari royal family.
I am just saying – if Biden accepted a plane from Qatar, you wouldn’t be okay with it.
The donation is from the Qatar ministry of defense to the Pentagon, not to any one individual so get back under your bridge…

In what may be the most valuable gift ever extended to the United States from a foreign government, the Trump administration is preparing to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar — a gift that is to be available for use by President Donald Trump as the new Air Force One until shortly before he leaves office, at which time ownership of the plane will be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation, sources familiar with the proposed arrangement told ABC News.
The gift is expected to be announced next week, when Trump visits Qatar on the first foreign trip of his second term, according to sources familiar with the plans.
Trump toured the plane, which is so opulently configured it is known as “a flying palace,” while it was parked at the West Palm Beach International Airport in February.
Sources told ABC News that Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump’s top White House lawyer David Warrington concluded it would be “legally permissible” for the donation of the aircraft to be conditioned on transferring its ownership to Trump’s presidential library before the end of his term, according to sources familiar with their determination.
The plane will initially be transferred to the United States Air Force, which will modify the 13-year-old aircraft to meet the U.S. military specifications required for any aircraft used to transport the president of the United States, multiple sources familiar with the proposed arrangement said.

As already explained here at The Aviationist in the past, along with the internal design, meeting rooms and wide array of communication systems, what makes the Air Force One different is the self-protection suite. The VC-25 aircraft is known to be fitted with active electronic counter measures, that are able to jam enemy radar frequencies as well as IRCM (Infrared Counter Measure) systems needed to divert heat seeking Infra Red missiles by disturbing their guidance systems.
The one in use on the AF1 is the AN/ALQ-204 Matador produced by the BAe Systems. Such systems protect the plane from both IR air-to-air and ground-to-air (MANPADS – Man Portable Air Defense Systems) missiles.
It will also have to be incredibly well inspected for sabotage and destructive devices. The cost will be YUGE.

The battle between the Trump administration and the federal courts on the topic of deportation is intensifying.
The outlines are clear. Biden and his corrupt cronies left the U.S. southern border wide open for four years. Estimates vary but it’s likely 8 million illegal aliens crossed the border. But the actual number could be 10 million or higher. Of course, some just came for a better opportunity, but many were murderers, terrorists, rapists, sex traffickers, Chinese spies and every sort of violent low life you can imagine.
It’s nearly impossible to find and deport 8 million people. Biden made sure of that by ignoring the procedures for tracking and documenting the alien invasion. Trump’s policy of “remain in Mexico” while immigration cases were pending was abandoned by Biden. Many of the illegals got court dates, but those were scheduled years in advance. The expectation was that the court notices would be thrown in the trash, the illegals would not show up in court, and no enforcement action would be conducted.
The New Obstacle – The Courts

To be clear, the rogue judges don’t work in a vacuum. The plaintiffs are hand selected to create sympathy in the media (although there’s little sympathetic about a rapist) and are represented in court by lawyers backed by well-funded NGOs and activist organizations.
It’s not as if the illegals have the resources to appeal cases to the Supreme Court on their own. They don’t need them. From Soros on down, the fight against deportation is well-funded and skillfully lawyered. The lawyers present everything the judges need to tear down Trump’s agenda.
There are hundreds of cases involving thousands and potentially millions of illegal aliens now pending in the courts. Trump has been losing most of these cases at the district court level, but it’s reasonable to expect some success at the circuit court and Supreme Court levels. But that takes time.

The TIP planned State secession if Trump won. Sunrise’s training was organized by the notorious Lisa Fithian. And when Trump’s Deputy National Security Advisor Michael Anton criticized TIP their co-founder Nils Gilman called for Anton to be executed.
The nature and magnitude of their actions can not go unpunished.

Has anyone heard about this obscure trade court taking up the tariff issue? Is it a concern? or if losing, as with other lower courts, be appealed can it be appealed to the Supreme Court?
I do no know the answer except I do not think this court is not part of our Constitution. We should not be subject to any laws but our own.
Pause to consider that there is something here that is being shielded from scrutiny. Something ‘precious’. Something dangerous.
It is lurking in the shade, like a specter, largely unrecognized and by nameless awe, allowed to slip past critical thought.
