please elaborate on how you cut which cord and what Mexico has to do with it. I have patients who moved to Mexico for the lower cost of living, but fly hundreds of miles back “home’ where he gets his annual physical with his US Medicare insurance. Prescription drugs are cheaper there and often OTC
My last medical check up by an American doctor was in 1978. They wanted to do a cat scan and a colonsopy. Blew off the appointment as I was fine and healthy racing off road in Mexico. I stayed on my routine of hard work farming…plenty of sun. No cancer lotions. Faith in God. My inherited genes are great. In 2005 I decided to CUT THE CORD as I knew msm was lying 24/7. It was a fantastic press conference with Trump in great form. I am very pleased with his EO on drug prices but definitely NOT pleased with the idea of him flying around on a plane given to him by the ENEMY country of Qatar. This is a country that provides safe haven to the leaders of Hamas and other terrorists. It is the HQ for the Muslim Brotherhood. They also do not expedite accused criminals to the US for prosecution nor provide financial information on criminals hiding money in banks there. WTH is he thinking? There is no way Trump could be this naive about the safety and national security risks of this “gift.” IMO whoever is advising him to do this should be fired immediately. I couldn’t even believe my eyes and ears when I heard his response to this question this morning. This is INSANITY.

After blaming the EU and sarcastically praising the drug companies as only Trump can, ‘I have great respect for these companies and the people that run them, I really do, and I think that they did one of the greatest jobs in history for their company convincing people for many years that this was a fair system,’ how does one mention ‘figuring out’ Big Pharma and not mention, not one word, all the issues and controversies regarding their VACCINES?
In the end, it seems Trump went into this knowing he was going to have to spin two subjects; 1) admitting Boeing had the upper hand in holding up a plane, then figuring out a solution that required Qatar’s help without appearing recklessly beholden and 2) justifying playing nice with Big Pharma in order to make the price deal without appearing beholden (RFK Jr going out of his way to mention Trump got 100 mil from the Drug Lobby was interesting), while he steadfastly refused to use the V word.
Bernie Sanders would screw up the legislation….but hopefully would vote for Trump’s plan….

Trump forgot “and 15 USC Chapter 1 specifically states that”:
Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal. Every person who shall make any contract or engage in any combination or conspiracy hereby declared to be illegal shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine not exceeding $100,000,000 if a corporation, or, if any other person, $1,000,000, or by imprisonment not exceeding 10 years, or by both said punishments, in the discretion of the court.
That is, any attempt to restrain trade — which all price disparities that are enforced are by definition, no matter who is doing it and where, including internationally, is a criminal felony.
A. I don’t think the president is attempting to restrain trade, he is trying to balance trade.
B. He wrote an executive order so therefore it would not be declared an “illegal” act so my guess is it is not applicable.
I love this EO and cant wait to watch all the swamp, both sides, NOT codify it immediately with their excuses. We know its all horseshit but the lions share of these snakes are going to out themselves. Are the really going to try & tell voters that we must pay the higher prices than the rest of the world? Thats a suicide shot to all of them. I think its a TRUMP TRAP just to out them!
