One of the least understood dynamics about how the DC silos operate, pertains to review and investigative work done by government officials into government misconduct. In essence, special counsels, special investigators and appointed special prosecutors do not look at government activity if that activity can be framed as political. The silos protect themselves from external review.
As a consequence, the only administrative review of government misconduct happens when the silos look internally at their own agency. In this short video below Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard outlines that 11 internal investigations are ongoing to target Intelligence Community officials, staff and employees who are leaking classified information to the media.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard is following a frustratingly slow process. However, if she is successful the DC apparatus will target her for removal.

Betsy I love you, usually agree with you, and certainly understand what/why you wrote. However the immutable fact is we have had DECADES of waste, fraud and abuse; so is it realistic that fundamental improvement will be moderately fast or instantaneous, much less in a hundred days? Trump is but one man who like all of us makes mistakes. He has surrounded himself with people that HE believes will get the job done or at a minimum give it their best shot. Your comment, accurate as they are, are about the past. What more can we ask for our future when he and his people are giving it their all?

I have written many times with words similar to those you have yourself here. One hundred days is nothing in the scheme of the grand mission set out by President Trump and communicated unto his (I call them) lieutentants, of which Tulsi is just one.
That mission has one objective familiar to all of us, with too many moving parts, intricately woven by evil people in previous administrations and bureacracies, cemented into various parts of the government. Disassembling them will take time and skills. So having patience while the master builder who sits in the presidency through the mercy of God while he and those he has selected to help him with this existential project first demolishes the existing structure.
The noblest undertaking any President can attempt to accomplish.
Almost superhuman levels of patience are required from all us praying for an America as she was founded resurgence.
But what I am speaking of in my post has nothing to do with patience.
It is “trust” I am speaking of and to which she refers. I am no longer willing to bestow it (after many times of abusing it) that THIS time it will be different.
They have our personal information stolen and collected without our permission. They have stolen, under colour of “law”, too many of our freedoms to enumerate (Patriot Act so called)…just two examples.

For example 66 of 86 commentators “liked” your post and that was the reason I responded as I did. I do have a rhetorical question that I actually do not know the answer to. There has to be a better way to say this. We use the word trust, mistrust, do not trust – OK. However in fairness; do – Trump and his administration actually deserve to be un-trusted at this point and if not how can we say this better?

I do not not trust President Trump. But in fairness I think that’s not the right way to phrase it….in the first place, he has not asked for it.
I believe he expects us to judge him, if that is even the right word, on how he has delivered on his promises, admitting of course that there will be some he will be unable to fill because of the forces…many, varied, and malevolent…against not only himself personally but by extension those he is working without cessation or rest on behalf for…that would be us. Our America.
There will be some he has selected I’m sure whom HE trusts who are not deserving of it. He has a moral, skill, and attitudinal template I think which he uses to “hire” people who can aid him in keeping those promises. Many in his first term abused that trust, and I sincerely doubt, having crossed that red line, they will reenter his good graces. President Trump is a fast learner. No quarter given to any who having had a chance to assist him in restoring our nation chose instead to undermine and betray their privileged brief.

Suffice it to say that I absolutely, unequivocally trust that President Trump will do all he is humanly capable of to fulfill his unwritten but oft delivered contract with those of us who have placed ourselves in his hands as CEO of America. Recognizing, as I do, that he has been appointed to the job by our and his Father long before the time for him to assume the responsibilities arrived.
I trust that God has given him the spiritual and physical strength to begin at least to debride this nation of the consequences brought to us by self serving, power hungry people with pieces missing who care nothing for those whom their own agendas have destroyed.
So what language, what words, do we use in this context?
I can think of no substitutes.

So if it is hopeless, as it seems to be in the most learned assumptions on this site, and the evil IC block cannot be defeated, then why is President Trump so optimistic?
And secondly, if there are any realistic reasons for hoping to break the evil IC block, what are they? It wpouwould be helpful for morale if those could be repeated every once in a while, if they exist.

Im happy that you are still with us. It seems we do have a lot in common. As you know, I’m sure, I survived stage 4, with a death sentence. They told me I was a goner. But God wasn’t ready for me yet, and hell was afraid Id take over!
I know all about how tough it is to come back from the treatments. They almost killed me. But I made it.
Now though, I have lung cancer, 3 and a bit years on from my last battle. It isn’t aggressive so far. I’m getting treatments daily. Feel like I got hit by a truck some days, but I’m still here.
I dont have the option of working anymore either. My old body is broken from hard work, building roads all my life. Even if I wasn’t full of arthritis, my lungs are pooched.
As I said earlier in this thread, I’m hoping God keeps me around for a while, to see the future turn bright, instead of the darkness that seems to be slowly choking us all out. I have faith that God is in control, and a whole pile of people that have prices to pay for their actions, will see the justice they deserve visited on them.

(Note: This is NOT an off topic post. It summarizes the very reason for the leaks and all other internal opposition that Trump faces. The Democrat bureaucracy only survives due to the cooperation or direct support of the elected GOP.)
The only unanimity I’ve seen in the GOP House and Senate since January 20th, has been to oppose Trump “… by any means necessary” (ha! just like the Commies), while looking all “MAGA” to their constitutes. WE ARE AT WAR, with the Communist left, and the corrupt elected GOP wants to bargain with them against Trump. The survival of this Constitutional republic is at stake, in all regards, financial, security (internal and external), and simple “Bill of Rights” FREEDOM.
Take the judicial jihad the Dems have been running against Trump since day 1. There are ways that a GOP led Congress could real in the Judiciary – the founding fathers GAVE them the tools, but there aren’t enough votes within THE GOP to accomplish any of this. Similarly, the ruinous “Democrat” budget busting spending raises no particular action worth concern (i.e. beyond pretty words), while the corrupt GOP Reps and Senators like up at the trough to get theirs.
Again, we are at war, but 90% of those representing us are either Benedict Arnold, or Tammany Hall style politicians. Trump is doing MORE than any President in my lifetime to save this country, yes, including Reagan or Nixon or Eisenhower, or whoever your favorite past GOP star might have been. And, for the most part within the political GOP, he is fighting alone, with nothing but feckless men and woman holding knives, behind him.
This SOP is how to end the republic, not save it.

This country, and not for the first time, is divided almost 50/50. Perhaps it is time to initiate the 50/50 Project!
Both parties are sick of the drones they elected. The drones will not pass term limits and name recognition with incumbent money keeps them almost invulnerable to normal voters.
The 50/50 Project with both parties involved vow to vote for candidate of the party not in office, through two complete election cycles. At the end of the second, the House will have completely been flushed twice and the Senate 2/3’s with the last third being compliant.
It would be radical and need complete trust of voters in the other party. To achieve that trust, start with 2026 and just vote out the top two leaders in both parties. If that is accomplished, 2028 we go for the first party extermination, all the house and 1/3 of the senate.
Both parties are sick of and ready for big change. We can hardly do worse than what we have now!
I like the idea, but the Dems would only go along if you can guarantee that the non-incumbent Dem is a bigger Communist than the incumbent.
The positive aspect is that it is an internal investigation that can”go there”.

Watched a movie on Amazon the other night called Haven. It was about 1 women’s quest ,(Gruber) to try to get 1000 Jewish refugees here from Europe in 1945. Tulsi seems to be doing as good of a job as we can expect. All of the institutions she’s over are completely corrupt and hostile to her. She can’t trust anyone to do the job enthusiastically and competently. I appreciate that she’s not on Fox every day making promises she can’t keep. Stark contrast to a certain blond bimbo. The lawyers and investigators are slow walking and undermining everything in all departments at all levels below the appointees. Sometimes even the appointees are working against Trump.

The Swamp is not going to simply sit and endure being dismantled/exposed by the Trump administration; they will plot and act as they always have. The corruption is so deep, widespread and systemic that rooting out a few here and there is only an irritation. The deep-staters will do all they can to sabotage and derail Trump’s agenda, and wait him out, their general strategy for decades with other presidents who don’t align with the Swamp’s culture.
However, the Swamp will realize too late that Trump is not a conventional President and will do the unexpected without warning. He will use a flamethrower when one expects the usual knock on the door.
I was waiting for Trump to use the flamethrower during his first term when the left was destroying cities across the United States and breaking every law in the book trying to take him down but no such luck.

It took me a long time to come around and support Tulsi. She was a Democrat to the left of Bernie Sanders with positions and beliefs virtually the opposite of mine. When she switched parties, she did not disavow those beliefs, so I didn’t trust her conversion. But she’s definitely starting to prove herself.
