The question can be asked, has President Trump ever had a National Security Advisor who was not compromised?
Unfortunately, some people are rushing to the Mike Flynn redo. As a consequence, some context for why Flynn can never be in the administration again is needed. In brief, he’s a fibber.
In November of 2016 CTH first warned of the issue when it was rumored that Flynn would be selected as Trump’s NSA. [SEE HERE] We knew even before the election this could be a problem. As far as we could surmise at the time – the Trump Campaign and subsequent President-Elect transition team, had no idea that campaign advocate and campaign adviser Michael Flynn was also being paid to lobby in DC on behalf of the government of Turkey, and ultimately put a positive perspective on Recep Erdogan.
The Flynn lobbying arrangement, a corporate lobbyist, then a foreign agent lobbyist, was beyond sketchy. Before the 2016 election Flynn penned an op-ed advocating heavily for Recep Erdogan –SEE HERE– The content was entirely disconnected from the assembled foreign policy outlook of Candidate Donald Trump. The Flynn Op-Ed was actually counter to candidate Trump’s policy views.
If you go read the Op-Ed now, you will notice a very specific editors note: “On March 8, 2017, four months after this article was published, General Flynn filed documents with the Federal government indicating that he earned $530,000 last fall for consulting work that might have aided the government of Turkey. In the filings, Flynn disclosed that he had received payments from Inovo BV, a Dutch company owned by a Turkish businessman with ties to Turkey’s president and that Inovo reviewed the draft before it was submitted to The Hill. Neither General Flynn nor his representatives disclosed this information when the essay was submitted.”
Earlier this evening, Mike Flynn once again denied he was a registered foreign lobbyist.

Your point this morning about the level of control the NSA has in the IC Silos, his ability to cancel Black Door projects activities and budgets, actually gets used for PDJT47 in the next few months, especially to shut down Ukraine.
Little Marco has presidential aspirations. He knows that, if he fails or goes against Trump, this is his last gig. So far, I like what he is doing, but I will wait and see.
Marco is not MAGA, and his past indicates this perfectly. He is bought and paid for by the IC.

Little Marco is wrapping himself in MAGA livery to attain his fondest wish, i.e., President Marco. However, IMO, his MAGA camouflage doesn’t hide his real colors. As Mark Antony said of Caesar, “he is an ambitious man,” and Marco, if nothing else, is ambitious. I can’t get beyond the feeling, even given his good job in the past few months, that he is a Trojan horse.
Marco Rubio is not a natural born citizen of this country. I would not vote for him just on this alone.

The fact that Rubio wasn’t qualified to hold the office didn’t prevent him from trying to run for the presidency, either. Then there’s Kamala, an “anchor baby” at best, who was allowed to be one heartbeat away from the presidency, with no one expressing any concerns about the Constitutional requirement for ‘natural born citizen’ for the office. At this point, he’s not a neophyte and knows what’s going on. Rubio probably is fine to call and coordinate security meetings. Look at the past NSAs; they really added little.

The National Security Council already is staffed by cabinet and defense people. It’s arguably redundant but this is a vehicle for funding and more staff from Congress post WWII. The NSA is informal advisor to the President. May or may not head up the meetings (could be VP, could be SecDef). Responsible for collecting intel for briefings to President. Again, redundant if Gabbard does this.

If and to the extent Flynn knows stuff, nothing stops him from consulting informally with Trump. Here’s the thing. He’s got his extensive military experience, and although he added post-college degrees with the GI Bill, he’s no intrinsic brainiac. He tried to capitalize on his post-military career, he’s made mistakes, and he’s suffered for them. Everything is not all one way or another, and it’s not important now.

I always assumed that if Flynn had valuable insights into national security, then Trump kept a backchannel open to Flynn after Flynn resigned as NSA.
If so, Trump can continue the backchannel, if he finds Flynn’s advice useful.

The key thing for me was that he was played by two FBI agents. How could he not know that the FBI was part of the Deep State and one of the enforcers for that Deep State and the Democrat Party? That’s either stupid or complicit. Ever since I knew that Mark Felt was Deep Throat and all the other dirty, corrupt business that the FBI engaged in over the years, I would never talk to the FBI, and I’m nobody and have no experience with DC. The FBI was never like the 1965-74 TV series.
Rubio knows well from his time in the Senate and other service to the country that when you serve the president in any role (esp SOS), you serve to make the president’s goals happen with vigor. Trump steers the ship, and you shovel the coal in earnest. When Rubio’s has the conn, he can drive the ship where he wants it to go – not necessarily toward the MAGA horizon.

Retired Magistrate here: Prior to 1953, there were no National Security Advisors. The National Security Act of 1947 created the National Security Council and the first National Security Advisor was Robert Cutler who served under President Eisenhower.
If you look at those who served as National Security Advisors some of those included Henry Kissinger and Susan Rice. So maybe President Trump would be better served leaving Rubio in his dual position or leaving the position vacant.

The Turkish connection is a stench that is unwashable. This makes a final determination in my mind that he cannot be placed too importantly close. Believe that disentangling from Erdogan and his Islamic supremacy is a key target for the reset of foreign affairs. (In my terms, have wanted out of NATO for over 25 years, and Turkey is not a small part of that passion.)
Interestingly, to my mind, the fact that Judas Pence was a key player in ousting Flynn, made me cut some slack – that is a fog that is now dispersed. Makes an interesting point to my own mind about how profoundly I despise Judas.
There are so very few good guys (White Hats) that when we think we have one, we become loyalists defending them and rooting for them left-&-right. So, when Sundance peels back the curtain to expose someone we thought was one of us and loyal to Trump, it can be hard to accept. We start to question our own judgement. And now, here we are with one of those moments.
I saw Flynn speak at a Trump rally in Chippewa Falls, WI in Sept or Oct of 2016. My immediate reaction was, “Wait, isn’t Flynn a lobbyist for Turkey?” (Colkitto will tell you, there was a time I was pretty well read up on all things politics.) Having gotten Trump’s autograph a couple months earlier in Minneapolis, I was all-in for Trump, so I kind of tucked the Flynn-is-a-lobbyist aside and categorized it as fake-news.
Later that fall, I think I found Q a day or two after the initial post. After dabbling with trying to keep up with the Q posts….the advice from Sundance to avoid the nonsense started settling in my psyche. So after a few hundred X-22 episodes and hearing Dave say “I really do believe…” a couple thousand times, I dropped Q and X-22 and embraced the LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE suggestion from Sundance, and my life has been better ever since.
Learning today, with receipts, that Flynn is not who I thought he was, is not bothering me as much as I thought it would 24 hours ago. Paul Weyrich, one of the Old Guard conservatives in the 70’s 80’s & 90’s used to tell newbies running for political office this great insight, “When you run for political office you will be surpised who your friends are…and who your friends are not.”

Back to the Weyrich comment, recently a family member (hardcore Trumper) ran for local office so I campaigned with them. We were shocked how many democrats said while doorknocking, “Don’t worry…you got my vote…I’m telling everyone I know to vote for you.”
This family member got the most votes out of seven candidates.

Also, the woman wore so much makeup it looked like she used a house painting brush to apply it. Very phony and disingenuous person.
