And, very likely, it involves money. For example, “1,000 simultaneous protests” involving “say, 100 protesters each,” corresponds to 100,000 individuals.
Now – are any of them being offered “compensation?” A meal? Gas money? Even if the amount was less than $30 each, we are now suddenly talking about: $3 million dollars.
And – where is that m-o-n-e-y coming from? Which “NGO,” which (as we now see) is siphoning off for itself vastly more dollars than it is ever paying out?
When real people “protest,” it’s a very small and localized thing. It doesn’t happen, on a single day, at “1,000 places at once.” Instead, when this happens, it is: political manipulation. And you’d better be paying attention to “who really stands to gain.”

Inflation robs people who save money, as you lose value in a bank account.
Be careful, Trump is howling about reducing interest rates significantly which just further reduces the value of your savings. Ever since 2008, interest rates have basically been at or below the rate of inflation for savers. If you have a CD or a premium bond, you were very lucky to stay even with inflation. Most people didn’t stay even.
Low rates (like Trump wants) discourages savings and encourages stupid, reckless behavior by individuals and corporations. It also severely punishes retirees just trying to keep their heads above water. I wish Trump would shut his pie-hole about low interest rates. It’s dumb. Rates are at a decent happy-place right now. Not too high, not too low.
My parents saw their careful investments reduced by government policies.
9/08 our investments took a healthy cut.
There is a very significant amount of the US debt that has be rolled over this year. That, along with funding for the surge in manufacturing facilities he envisions is why he’s pushing for lower rates in the near term. In the case of the long term US debt, the effects of NOT getting it refinanced with lower rates would be far more detrimental in the medium to long term than lower interest rates would be in the short term.
I wish he’d stop it with the “low interest rates” thing, too.
I think the only way to win is with old fashioned real Conservatism- which means don’t participate, leave the matrix to the greatest degree that you can.
Up here where I live, it’s called Yankee Frugality- but only by us natives raised here for generations that truly know what that term means and how to practice it in earnest. This is what Conservatism is to us..

Canon 1: A Judge Should Uphold the Integrity and Independence of the Judiciary
Deference to the judgments and rulings of courts depends on public confidence in the integrity and independence of judges. The integrity and independence of judges depend in turn on their acting without fear or favor. Although judges should be independent, they must comply with the law and should comply with this Code. Adherence to this responsibility helps to maintain public confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary. Conversely, violation of this Code diminishes public confidence in the judiciary and injures our system of government under law.
Canon 2: A Judge Should Avoid Impropriety and the Appearance of Impropriety in all Activities
(A) Respect for Law. A judge should respect and comply with the law and should act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.
(B) Outside Influence. A judge should not allow family, social, political, financial, or other relationships to influence judicial conduct or judgment. A judge should neither lend the prestige of the judicial office to advance the private interests of the judge or others nor convey or permit others to convey the impression that they are in a special position to influence the judge.
Canon 2A. An appearance of impropriety occurs when reasonable minds, with knowledge of all the relevant circumstances disclosed by a reasonable inquiry, would conclude that the judge’s honesty, integrity, impartiality, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge is impaired. Public confidence in the judiciary is eroded by irresponsible or improper conduct by judges . . . .
Canon 2B.
A judge should avoid lending the prestige of judicial office to advance the private interests of the judge or others. For example, a judge should not use the judge’s judicial position or title to gain advantage in litigation involving a friend or a member of the judge’s family.
Canon 3: A Judge Should Perform the Duties of the Office Fairly, Impartially and Diligently
The judge should adhere to the following standards:
(C) Disqualification.
(1) A judge shall disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances in which:
(a) the judge has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party . . .
(d) the judge or the judge’s spouse, or a person related to either within the third degree of relationship, or the spouse of such a person is: (iii) known by the judge to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding;
Canon 5: A Judge Should Refrain from Political Activity
The term “political organization” refers to a political party, a group affiliated with a political party or candidate for public office, or an entity whose principal purpose is to advocate for or against political candidates or parties in connection with elections for public office.

So Boasberg is away for the weekend, he is not the on-call emergency judge, and judges aren’t assigned until the next business day yet somehow Boasberg not only becomes the emergency judge he also is assigned the case, and all this on a Saturday.
How did he get it? A rigged judiciary.
I was always under the impression the Federal Magistrate in that courthouse assigns the cases. Make no mistake, they are not in there drawing straws for what is coming on line. At the same time, any hot potato the established judges do not want to have to rule on, the new kid gets. Got to pay their dues, especially if the matter comes before him or her that someone needs a favor on.
In this case, Boasberg has been waiting on this. Wasn’t he in the back of the courtroom on one of Trump’s cases, smiling like a cat that had a canary?

I fully get how many of us are boomers and, while many here have zero interest in being open to learning what bitcoin is, what the decentralized Bitcoin “network” is that protects it, much less how to obtain and secure it to preserve our families’ wealth.
Bitcoin doesn’t care about you, it doesn’t care about me or Donald Trump. It doesn’t care what happens in the stock market or any other market. It keeps going because that’s what it was designed to do: to bring a peer-to-peer electronic cash network to people who want to protect their hard earned energy. Because of its decentralized network that protects the Bitcoin will keep going without your help. It’s the only money (yes it’s that too) ever created that can NOT be inflated, at a fixed supply of 21,000,000.
Don’t be confused by other “shipcoins” or altcoins, they are not based on a proof-of-work, but rather proof of stake.
If any of this has your eyes glazing into deer in the headlights remember one thing: remember the birth of the internet?

This totaled roughly 6,288 hours of video uploaded to the site. Instead of paying a fee to use the site, users could stream and upload videos of child sex abuse. Europol stated that individuals arrested were not only accused of viewing or sharing child pornography but some were also suspected of directly participating in the abuse of children.
The Bavarian police raided 96 locations, targeting 103 individual suspects. In one of the raids, German and Dutch authorities seized a hard drive with about 72,000 videos of child sexual abuse. Authorities also identified a “serial” abuser in the United States during a joint investigation between Europol and the FBI.

Since I’m on a roll tonight let me share a few tidbits on Bitcoin that I want you to be aware of:
(Not financial advice)
1: if you’re able to buy bitcoin may I recommend several exchanges NOT to use:
Coinbase, Robinhood, Crypto.com, Binance and all other exchanges that sell any “shipcoins” besides Bitcoin. There is no second best.
2. I recommend having accounts at three exchanges. This is due to periods of high demand, one of the exchanges could go “down for maintenance” thereby screwing up your ability to transact for a period until transaction volume decreases. If you’re not in the US these recommendations could vary. The three I use are:
* River. River is based in Columbus Ohio and has an excellent reputation as being one of the best exchanges in the US. They have some excellent educational learning material on their site as well.
* Strike. Strike also has a good reputation and is coming out with some new features soon that will be helpful.
* Bitcoin Well. Bitcoin Well is based in Canada but they have an excellent reputation and their founder (Adam) is a Christian and I have listened to him before and he gives good advice also.
I used to think differently but now I do believe this is solid information (not financial advice): never sell your bitcoin. If you can see the problem that our country is in and DJT is trying to get us out of then you know the inflation of our USD currency has been ongoing, especially since 1971 when we went off the gold standard. I am an optimist but we will see more debasement of our currency very soon IMO.
Get some Bitcoin before the money printer goes “Brrrrr”. But also get some education, now! Your dollars continue to be worth less every day, while Bitcoin becomes worth more each day. We will see this markedly in the near future. If you have strong opinions (or even neutral ones) you need to study it more carefully. Please do yourself and your family a favor and get off zero education and zero Bitcoin. The day is going to come when we will not be able to buy bitcoin for USD, IMO.

I remember when Enron was a hot commodity. My dad asked me to look into it as he had been purchasing, at his Lehman Brother’s broker’s advice, huge swaths of shares.
I looked into it, read all their press releases, financial statements, news stories and told my dad to sell, sell all of it – it was nothing but air, it was all hype of selling things they did not own on promises to have those items, such as gold futures and other such things, derivatives, air, there was nothing there at all but words.
