How many reading this know who the “Governor General” is? I bet less than 10% know what the office is, and less than .01% know who the guy is [it’s a woman named Mary Simon].
This Gov General is King Charles’ representative to Canada. King Charles is the actual “head of state” for Canada [and Australia and New Zealand]. The Gov General holds real power, and it is a REQUIREMENT that she take the official action to dismiss the current Parliament and to call for an election.
Almost all of the time, this person does this at the behest of the Canadian [or Australian or New Zealand] PM. But that is NOT requirement! The Gov General actually has real power to do this EVEN IF NOT ASKED!
Can’t happen you say? Well — it DID in Australia in 1975! The government of Australia was in a deadlock about the budget — and to break the deadlock, the Australian Gov Gen dissolved the Australian House of Representatives which forced new elections.
Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are STILL not totally independent of their colonial masters. Gov Generals hold REAL power. And while the nomination of them is made by the country they represent — such appointments are still APPROVED by the Head of State — currently King Charles.

A WA doctor who claimed he saw many patients die as a result of the COVID-19 vaccine has been suspended for three months.
Last week the State Administrative Tribunal ruled Dr Mitchell Sambell, who used to work at the Albany Health Campus, breached medical conduct rules with claims that “another holocaust” was being caused by the vaccine.
The tribunal ruled Dr Sambell’s conduct was against accepted medical practice and potentially harmed public health efforts, but did note he had shown regret for his claims.
Dr Sambell, who has not practiced medicine since April 2023, had his medical registration suspended and has been ordered to take education on the matter.

Things that make you go hmmmmm…
In response to Boasberg the House Republicans are considering altering the jurisdiction of the court. All well and good, changes are needed, but it appears this is in lieu of impeaching the judge for bad behavior. This typifies the GOP, they will not use the authorities they have but will attempt to pass a law. See, we’re “doing something” It also allows the judge to evade consequences, which also typifies the GOP. They will never truly oppose the Democrats to any meaningful extent.
These Republicans claim that the Senate will not convict so why bother trying. Impeachment is necessary, the hearings and trial will not only force the judge to defend his bad acts, not only inform the pubic of those bad acts, it also brings the possibility of unexpected discoveries.
The laugh of their can’t-do position is that somehow those who will not impeach the judge will pass a law to remove his jurisdiction.
Boasberg needs to be impeached for intruding on the President’s authority, and for attempting to set a contempt/perjury trap. This loathsome partisan judge needs to be fired before he springs his trap.
They will not even pass a law because they have no chance of getting 60 votes in the Senate. They will TALK about passing a law, which is indistinguishable from a “sternly worded letter.” They are scum. President Trump needs to IGNORE these judges and proceed with his agenda. They will never impeach him, because they don’t have the stones for that either. We have less than two years. Full steam ahead, screw the judges.
