If the Trump administration manages to prove the auto-pen regime, and a court is willing to support the president’s refusal to honor a judgement given by an auto-pen-approved judge, then a large number of partisan judges will be sidelined.

My husband suffered a stroke at home in January 2025. I called 911 for an ambulance/EMT, and when they arrived it was two overweight females, one with buzz-cut blue (or green?–can’t recall) hair. My husband had collapsed into the bath tub. He only weighs about 175 lbs., but they were unable to lift him out…had to call ANOTHER ambulance that arrived about 10 minutes later… with TWO GUYS who finally got him out of the tub and onto a stretcher to go the hospital. Yep, “DEI” is more accurately DIE. 🙁 (Husband is recovering, slowly, at home now, but aphasia and lost use of right arm/hand seem permanent…and terrible.)

Certain areas and actions are not subject to judicial review. This is well recognized in American constitutional law.
For example, there is no judicial review as to the Executive Branch’s declaration of an invasion, or as to a Congressional Declaration of war. The courts simply have no say.
In addition, certain portions of the Bill of Rights and certain constitutional protections do not apply to persons who are not US citizens. This is also well recognized in constitutional law. A foreign citizen illegally present in the US has zero rights to bear arms, for example.
Madison never meant the Constitution to set a small number of unelected men above the functioning of the other two branches.

If the judge is going against a standing SCOTUS ruling (from 1948) when he should know better, he should be ignored. So if a judge, e.g. purported to tell the army where it may move troops while under fire, would you expect the Secretary of Defense to have to go get an appellate court to confirm that the trial-level judge doesn’t have the authority to do this? Somehow I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work when a lower court district judge tries to tell the President what he can and cannot due with his rightful powers. No unelected lower court district judge is allowed to over reach on this according to the Constitution and other cases settled by the SC previously re the President’s powers. Your suggestions say these judges can stop the President and the only remedy is going through a legal process that actually should not be necessary in these cases.

I hear what you are saying, but the judiciary exists to check executive power, including at the district court level. The idea that lower courts can’t rule on presidential actions is just wrong – plenty of cases start in district courts before making their way up to higher courts. If a judge oversteps, the appeals process is there to correct it. That’s not “overreach” – that’s due process.
As far as Biden getting away with things Trump hasn’t, every president faces legal challenges. Biden has had plenty of executive orders blocked by courts, just like Trump has. The difference is that Trump’s legal team often pushes policies that test legal boundaries, which naturally invites more challenges.
If we’re serious about being a democratic republic, we should respect the separation of powers. That means no president – Trump, Biden, or anyone else – is above judicial review. If an order is lawful, it will hold up in court. If not, that’s the system doing its job.

The treasonous acts that have happened over the last 8 years have to be dealt with and dealt with asap or there will be major repercussions in the midterms , of course we can’t get to all of them but there are many criminal acts that have taken place that are easy to prove and we have the proof to convict these people . It will skyrocket Trumps popularity before the midterms which would be huge.
If these alleged crimes are so clear-cut, the best path forward is to build strong cases, follow the law, and let the justice system work – not to demand rushed show trials for political theater.

Some Fed Agencies/Depts have their own judicial process (equal to a court)… such as the EPA. They can hound someone to bankruptcy with their proceedings and usually their decisions cannot be appealed.
The SEC has their own, probably FTC and several others also.

There were several cases last term that took away a lot of the administrative state’s power. One reversed Chevron, which required courts to defer to the agency’s interpretation of statutory term (Loper-Bright).
Another required a jury trial if a person was to be fined (Jarkesy) The SEC had been prosecuting securities violations using its in-house SEC administrative judges.
The third allowed challenges to regulations at the time the plaintiff suffered damages from the enforcement of the regulation, not back when the regulation became final (Corner Post).
There is criminal law, where the State is thevplaintiff, therevis civil law, where the plaintiff and defendant are citisens or companies, associations like greenpeace, etc. and then there is Administrstive law.
In Administrative law, the State is both Judge and Jury, and you do not have the rights granted to rapists and murderers, no right against self-incrimination, or talking to a lawyer prior to submitting forms, i.e. testifying, ..Having represented myself in both criminal felony cases, and Administrative law cases, I would rather defend myself in Criminal Court.

The executive branch is supposed to carry out the laws passed by Congress. Congress, the legislative branch, is supposed to pass the laws. And the third branch, the judicial branch, is supposed to run the courts, with dur process, right to jury, right to appeal, etc.
What has happened is complicated “feature creep”. Over the years, Congress (cumbersome, lazy, and rife with lots of stupid people) established administrative agencies with administrative courts in the executive branch.
These executive agencies promulgate regulations (aka sort-of “laws”, that more and more over time go far beyond what is necessary to carry out the laws passed by Congress). These agencies also investigate violations, and then also prosecute the violations via their “administrative courts” that have hearing officers not real judges, who have required violators to go through their administrative procedures and impose penalties before the accused can appeal their case to a real court.
This is not “separation of powers” but bureacracy out of control, acting as legislator, prosecutor, and judge. A mess.

The Inns of Court is a national organization, with local chapters all over the country.
Not much different from the ABA as a common professional affiliation.
One of my firm’s partners was a member of it for a time. He didn’t worship Moloch or seek America’s destruction.
It’s not all that secretive or nefarious. At least it wasn’t decades ago.
The Gateway Pundit is largely a click-bait website with the “breaking” news of the 15 minute cycle (nothing earth-shattering breaks every 15 mins, but many so-called conservative sites make most of their money with click-bait). Not saying everything over there is nonsense, but I would be very careful about elevating your blood pressure over one of their headlines. Too many people get suckered by that nonsense and there are people associated with that site that cross-promote links on this site’s forums. The GOP would love to tie all this up with something they know won’t change anything because it would kill months of time for them and they wouldn’t have to deal with all the executive orders that need to become laws ASAP.
Also, they could pass laws that strip away the DC courts powers to do this sort of thing, but that would require effort and thought. I hate to be too negative, but this congress isn’t markedly different from the 2016 – 2018 congress that totally blunted Trump.
I have no expectations that they will do anything meaningful this year and all of next year will be spent trying to get reelected by sidling-up to Trump while doing nothing to help him. They are so in-bed with these people in the swap.

Retired Magistrate here: I used to attend Inns of Court meetings with my Judge. They are not secret meetings and were attended by local attorneys, judges and magistrates to discuss current case law, new advances in courtroom technology, courtroom security and other legal issues.
I found them very informative and a good way of connecting with other judges and magistrates in different jurisdictions.

I have observed both men can do two (or more) things at once. I am really not a patient person, but this is only Day 60 since President Trump’s inaugurattion. Cabinet members have been on the job only about a third of that time.
Success or failure of an agenda item will not deter my support for President Trump. He can complain as much as he wants on X, news shows, street corners. I don’t care because based on his past performance, he is quite busy with his other hand.

Is there a mechanism in the federal court level where the defendant’s, in this case the Trump Administration and his appointees, can file a request with a higher court demanding that Boasberg be required to recuse himself from any and all lawsuits regarding this Administration given the many conflicts of interest that Boasberg is being painted with by the media?
I think they should impeach Boasberg and expose his handling of FISA and Carter Page and spying on Trump. Additionally, I think the recommendation should be to criminal charge Boasberg for violation of the Logan Act by interfering in foreign affairs.
You could even call up McCord and all those that were claiming Trump violated the Logan Act and flip it on Boasberg and the ACLU. Use impeachment to expose it all. Get them on record and pull a Brannon on them if they do not testify.

Look, the Inns of Court have been around for decades.
I have participated in the past. As far as I have experienced, it is a group generally devoted to improving the practice of law, honing litigation skills, and providing for a collegial setting for bench – bar relations and discussion.
Yes, it is by invitation. It involves time, and effort, and you want people who will show up and do the work.
It may come as a shock, but the lawyers and the judges, especially in smaller jurisdictions actually do know each other, and maybe play pick up basketball together sometimes. And that’s okay.
In most jurisdictions, the judges are drawn from the pool of practicing attorneys. There are preexisting relationships, and friendships. Everyone sees each other at the bar lunches too.
None of that is nefarious.
The ethos is that professionals set the personal aside in the courtroom.
I can’t say whether the DC “super lawyer” Inns of Court became something more.
I’m just saying there is a degree of hype in this story that counsels caution.
