Yeah verily. Today is my Father’s birthday. He would be 115 years old. He died purportedly, from Non-Hodgins lymphoma. He used to spray his glorious apple orchard with a lethal (unbeknownst to him) chemical named Malathion Still wonder what is going to happen to me because I remember the spray going over me. What will be will be.
Nonetheless, I will never forget that our family bakery was shut down the day Kennedy was assassinated. I witnessed my Father, a Republican all of his life, crying so hard and in so much pain, watching the funeral on a black and white TV.
Not sure if was the poison in the orchard or the grief from his pain of losing two daughter’s, plus a F5 tornado going through his “refuge” that took away his will to live. But he still railed against the groundhogs, as I am now to this day.

My Mom was Irish Catholic, and we lived just north of Boston. I’m told I was due December 10th-ish.
My Mom…almost the whole neighborhood, was crying for weeks after JFK was killed. A week later and I still hadn’t made my grand entrance.
At this point my Dad told her that JFK was NOT part of our family and she might harm the baby if she kept wailing. So I put my Mom in the hospital on Christmas Eve, two weeks late and I made my appearance around 3:30am on Christmas Day.
Mom still insisted I was the best Christmas present ever, although that is still debated among my siblings and I, 13 and 15 years after our parents passed on. Every year on my birthday I still have a drink to my folks and to President Kennedy, who may have had a hand in my Christmas birthday in a sad but weird way…

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.

Every day, stories come out that a planned action in one of the agencies in the Executive Branch has been compromised by an internal leak or other treasonous act. With the number of enemy agents still within the walls of the Executive Branch, the self-inflicted damage will continue and the destruction will accumulate.
It appears that the reason patel / bondi were keeping the D.O.G.E. out of the DOJ and the 3 letter agencies attached to it was to protect the biden carryover employees from being fired. They mentioned protecting “ongoing investigations” and “protecting secret documents” for the reasons, but both of those could be worked around.
The patel/bondi team has done zero mass firings. There had been a few firings initiated by President Trump’s team, but very few firings from the patel/bondi team except for those in the probationary category.
Perhaps 100 in total from the multiple thousands of Executive Branch employees over the past 8 years who were involved in the weaponization of the federal government against American citizens, including President Trump.
It is day 60 of the 2025 President Trump Executive Branch and the vast majority of employees who were involved in the weaponization of the federal government against its citizens over the past 8 years ……. are still in the Executive Branch.

…….. if it is a rule from the legislative branch, but goes to the executive power in Article II, it is unconstitutional and President Trump doesn’t have to follow it
…….. if it is a rule made within the Executive Branch by a prior president, President Trump can change it.
Either way, President Trump or his appointed representative can terminate Executive Branch employees on 1/20/25, after taking their oaths

The idea that the Executive Branch is teeming with “enemy agents” engaged in sabotage sounds more like a Hollywood thriller.
Federal employees, particularly in agencies like DOJ, are governed by civil service protections, union agreements, and due process requirements. Firing thousands without cause would invite endless litigation, slow down the very reforms you want, and likely backfire politically.

John Roberts didn’t just go out of his way yesterday to trash Trump on a purely political matter—impeachment of corrupt judges—over which Roberts has no authority.
He did it by selectively leaking his statement to left-wing corporate media outlets, lying about its nature (claiming it was only in response to press inquiries rather than a general statement), and then refusing to provide the full statement to conservative media outlets when requested, including
@FDRLST.
To date, no one knows the full extent of what Roberts and his taxpayer-funded PR agents have said, because no record of any statement from the court can be found anywhere on the Supreme Court website, a shocking breach of protocol and transparency.
Did the left-wing corporate media outlets hand-picked by Roberts to receive his political rant print it in full, or did they selectively quote it? It is impossible to know, because the Chief Justice is refusing to be transparent about what he said and who he said it to.

The briefing was endlessly anti-Trump. It felt like I was stuck in a room and forced to watch MSNBC. The presenter concluded by apologising to Australians on behalf of Americans because of the Trump Administration. I agree even some intelligent people are still susceptible to being easily manipulated; those are the intelligent MAGA folks. Reminds of this post from a woman. She went home to visit her parents and while there she noticed people who went to school with her. They all had jobs, owned homes, married and children. She was working on her on PhD, no relationship, living in a studio apartment, and in big debt. She couldn’t comprehend it. 🙄
Read “Hell to Pay” by Michael Lind…the chapter on the “credentials arms race” is very much what you said about the doctoral student vs people she went to school with, almost word for word. Chapter 8 I think.
I was targeted by a school system in IL so my wounds are deep. And i still have the ‘targets’ in my file cabinet. Two school systems actually…the Catholic schools and the public schools as I fought for my kids ‘right’ to an education. I also hear the chatter amongst the average folks, neighbors etc…IL is a lost cause. I want the Dept of Ed shut down…but I fear the commies here and elsewhere.

I find that there is a shocking amount of ignorance on all sides of the education issue.
Just yesterday I saw someone wondering if her school taxes would be lower, because she was paying them to the Education Department, and that was shutting down.
Education isn’t going back to the states, either. People don’t understand such fundamental things as how long we have even had the current system of universal public education.
Now many are expecting that getting rid of the Education Department will fix education.
There’s been a war on public education for quite some time.
The people who want to tear it down are getting close to winning.
I maintain that our education system was one of the things that made America great, and we won’t be great again if we allow it to be destroyed.
No, it was never perfect; just the best in the world.
We must de-centralize education. Home School is the best way. It works for my family.
Sending kids to GVT school is giving your kids right to the enemy. Watch all the school board meetings where parents cry and complain, yet still keep their kids in public school because they won’t do what’s best for their kids because “free”.

Some of the parents work to fix our schools because they believe they are worth saving.
Many Catholic grade schools are closing, due to lack of funds and enrollments. It used to be a fine educational experience. Their teachers have become increasingly liberal…am wondering if that is why. Aside from the exorbitant costs.
But yes, people don’t understand how govt works with these departments and their funding…heck when IL gets federal money, it often gets diverted elsewhere.
There is a lack of interest in the local school board meetings.
IIRC, when I was growing up, the Catholic schools often had nuns for teachers. They didn’t have to pay them anything.
We’ve had some closed here, where the parents fought hard but the Church still said no.
