Here is the Russian perspective of the Trump-Putin phone call as provided by the Kremlin:
“Leaders continued a detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation around Ukraine. Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to Donald Trump for his desire to contribute to the noble goal of ending hostilities and loss of life.
Confirming principled commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict, the President of Russia declared his readiness to work together with his American partners to carefully study possible ways to resolve the conflict, which should be comprehensive, sustainable and long-term.
And, of course, take into account the unconditional need to address the root causes of the crisis and Russia’s legitimate security interests.
In the context of the initiative of the President of the United States to introduce a 30-day truce, the Russian side outlined a number of significant points regarding ensuring effective control over a possible ceasefire along the entire line of contact, the need to stop forced mobilization in Ukraine and rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Serious risks associated with the inability of the Kiev regime, which has repeatedly sabotaged and violated the agreements reached, were also noted. Attention was drawn to the barbaric terrorist crimes committed by Ukrainian militants against the civilian population of the Kursk Region.
It was emphasized that the key condition for preventing the escalation of the conflict and working towards its resolution through political and diplomatic means should be the complete cessation of foreign military assistance and the provision of intelligence information to Kiev.
In connection with Donald Trump’s recent appeal to save the lives of Ukrainian servicemen surrounded in the Kursk region, Vladimir Putin confirmed that the Russian side is ready to be guided by humanitarian considerations and, in the event of surrender, guarantees the lives and dignity of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with Russian laws and international law.
During the conversation, Donald Trump put forward a proposal on the mutual refusal of the parties to the conflict to strike energy infrastructure facilities for 30 days. Vladimir Putin responded positively to this initiative and immediately gave the Russian military a corresponding command.
Likewise The President of Russia reacted constructively to the idea expressed by Donald Trump implementation of the well-known initiative concerning the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. It was agreed to start negotiations for additional working out the specific details of such an agreement.
Vladimir Putin informed that on March 19, between the Russian and Ukrainian sides An exchange of prisoners will be carried out – 175 for 175 people. In addition, as a goodwill will be handed over to 23 seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen, who are being treated in Russian medical institutions.
The leaders confirmed the intention to continue efforts to achieve a bilateral settlement in Ukraine, including taking into account the above-mentioned proposals of the President United States. For this purpose, Russian and American expert groups are being created.
Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump also touched upon other issues on the international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East and the Red Sea region. Will joint efforts have been made to stabilize the situation in crisis points, to establish cooperation on nuclear non-proliferation and global security. This, in turn, will contribute to the improvement of the general atmosphere of Russian-American relations. One of the positive examples is the solidarity vote in the UN on the resolution on the Ukrainian conflict.
Expressed mutual interest in normalising bilateral relations in the light of the special responsibility of Russia and the United States for ensuring security and stability in the world. In this context, a wide range of areas in which our countries could establish cooperation was considered. A number of ideas were discussed that are moving towards the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the economy and energy in the future.
Donald Trump supported Vladimir Putin’s idea to organize hockey matches in the United States and Russia between Russian and American players playing in the NHL and KHL.
Presidents We agreed to stay in touch on all the issues raised.” – SOURCE

It is a good start. but Ukrainians and Globalists are very dangerous snakes. I still remember when Zelenskyy and Vindman got President Trump impeached.
Hopefully Vindeman will face a Court Martial

The unanswered question, besides who and how, is why this is being done.
“…in the event of surrender, guarantees the lives and dignity of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with Russian laws and international law.”
I.e., mercenaries and/or NATO soldiers beware.
They knew what they were went they went there.
I wouldn’t trade an old dog to free a one of them after they are judged and sentenced.
This offer from President Putin may very well have an expiration date, as would those that refused it.
I have no doubt that with reports of
the atrocities that were committed
in Kursk…..Russian troops have names.
And those names will never be seen on
a surrender list.

Reading the article and watching the video with the grandmother
gives a pretty good idea of some of what happened.💔💔
Patrick Lancaster was in Kursk few weeks ago and what he
saw that was done to civilians 😳😳🤢
Zelenskyy had a lot of nerve bringing photos of atrocities allegedly committed by Russians to the Oval Office to show President Trump.
I’m sure President Trump was no doubt incensed by those photos, because he had seen overwhelming proof and heard testimony of the many horrific Azov atrocities against innocent civilians in these the historically Russian territories – that the Azov had been cruelly torturing and killing Russian speakers in Ukraine for years.
President Trump certainly has no desire to arm and give intel to Zelenskyy and the Azov and will make sure they are suitably punished if they violate any peace agreement.
The Big Question is – will vile warmongering NATO and the EU agree to these conditions?
Does President Trump have sufficient economic and military might to persuade these two rogue entities?
The Big Question-
What will the Lord do?
His will SHALL be done.
His will SHALL be done! Amen. Agreed.
Yep , foreign mercenaries will be shown no mercy. The idiots knew this when they went there. Sucks to be a foreign mercenary caught up in the Kursk cauldron.
Will Judge Boasberg have to review and approve the terms?
Yes, the war must go on at all costs so the Ukrainian people can live peacefully and prosper……..or something like that.
Thanks for The Kremlin read-out.👍
I always try to read what both sides have to say.
Of all the articles I read today from other sources,
I found this one to be very interesting.
President Trump and President Trump are peers,
whereas Zelensky and Ukraine are dependents.
I also found his description of the EUweenies pretty
good. 😄

Great article!
Fyodor Lukyanov: Putin and Trump usher in an era of new diplomacy — RT Russia & Former Soviet Union
Wow!
That was indeed great!
The summary is useful for understanding the larger framework of the talks, wide-ranging, open and yet laser focused on several key points. A wise start.
The co-opporation between the US and Russia is self evident, aiming toward Peace. The “snakes” are also self evident and will expose their heads, under the above co-oporation between the 2 Parties.
It may well be, that as the heads of the snakes are exposed these snakes are subject to humiliation on the word stage. As PDJ stated “he” has ALL of the Cards. The western financial London Arm is all but dead, the old world order and the factions that have supported it are on life support. These aspects are not even the tip of the iceberg. The dying regime that has been in place for many hundeds of years is being replaced.
Wearing rosy glasses to assume that this is any better than what has been only time will tell…..
Growing up in Alaska we had no snakes. Living in Colorado we found a rather large nasty one near the hose bib. The …22 and the 9mm were in the house. The .410 was in the shop to far away. My brand new 0 turn John Deer was ready. I hit it below the head it fled right out the fence knowing this thing was after my dog it needed dealt with so the mower I jumped on as I mowed the grass he tried to strike underside if the mower and found a rather fast spinning blade. This was over 15 years ago but applies today snakes pop their heads up thats time to strike back.
I’m on a business trip in South Korea, one of many I take, stuck with the usual crew of Brits and Europeans I work with abroad. There’s a new Brit in the mix, and this guy’s swallowed the Ukraine propaganda whole. He’s convinced the U.S. is itching to kick off World War III by not funneling more cash to Kyiv. The Europeans, plus both Brits, are lockstep in this fairy tale that Putin just woke up one day and invaded unprovoked, no context, no nothing.
I toss out NATO expansion, the Azov Battalion, U.S. biolabs, you know, the messy stuff. They clutch their pearls over NATO, get all prickly about the U.S. threatening to ditch it, and start moaning that Trump’s the one negotiating peace. “It should be Zelenskyy,” they insist. I lean in, look each one in the eye, and say, “Zelenskyy lost that privilege when he pocketed $350 billion of my tax dollars. Not yours, not yours, not yours, not yours.” I point around the table. “I get it, you’re closer to the mess, maybe you see it different. So why aren’t your countries stepping up? Why’s it always the U.S. footing the bill while half of you dodge NATO’s 2% GDP defense spending like it’s a tax audit?”
One of them pivots fast, “And your tariffs, what’s that about? Trump has no idea what he’s doing.” I smirk. “Oh, he doesn’t? Funny, when I deal with someone clueless, I tune them out and move on. Yet here you are, Trump squatting rent free in your heads. Rent free.” They grumble, “It’s not fair, the U.S. slapping tariffs on us, that’s not free trade.” I fire back, “You’re right, it’s not. The EU’s been hitting the U.S. with tariffs for decades, but the minute we match you, suddenly tariffs are evil. Just not evil enough for you to ditch yours and actually try free trade. So we’ll level the field. That’s fair.”
The one Brit nods, “Fair point.” The Chinese gal I work with chimes in, “Agreed.” The other Brit huffs like I’ve ruined his tea. The Spanish woman in the group shrugs, “I don’t care, Macron’s a clown, Starmer’s a bore, and Zelenskyy’s a grifter.” These are sharp people I work with, and deep down, they know they’ve been riding America’s coattails. The first Brit’s always got my back, admitting it outright.
They’re steaming that the U.S. won’t keep bankrolling their security blanket forever. And yet, we’re still mates. Unlike my American pals who’d unfriend me over this, these folks don’t melt down over a disagreement. We pivot straight to arguing American football versus soccer, roasting each other’s cultures, and knocking back pints like nothing happened.
Kamsahamnida!
You got me Jonesing for some double-hot chicken bulgogi right now!!
Well done, Brother, very well done.
Bulgogi….yum; however, I prefer the beef version with all of the crazy tasty mushrooms added. Mmmmm- I know what I’m getting in Seoul before I depart on Saturday. I’m out in the boonies- seafood galore since I’m near Dong Ho Beach.
Yum Yum. I worked for a Korean firm most of the eighty’s Never got to S. Korea, but my Korean bosses always brought me food their wives made. I’ve not been able to find Kimchi like they brought me.
Sounds like a group of great minds – a thinking working group – rare indeed.
I wish more Americans in high levels of Government were out spreading good will like you. Our problems could be solved quickly over a pint.
Not just a group of great minds- great people. It’s refreshing to be able to talk pointedly about things. I will say though, other than the one Brit (and the Spaniard for the most part) they really are upset about the U.S. tariffs and us negotiating in Ukraine- it was very apparent it’s because they feel their gravy train ending.
Very wonderful summary from Russia… more detailed and serious than that of US…
BTW… quit sharing intelligence and stop sending armaments to Ukraine… just sayin…
And we have to resolve the root cause of this BS… Ukraine will NOT join NATO…
“It was emphasized that the key condition for preventing the escalation of the conflict and working towards its resolution through political and diplomatic means should be the complete cessation of foreign military assistance and the provision of intelligence information to Kiev.”
read: get NATO, the c👁️a, EU, et al out of here, and we’re good!
“The leaders confirmed the intention to continue efforts to achieve a bilateral settlement in Ukraine…”
read: bi-lateral, meaning the U.S. and Russia (Z is irrelevant!)
straightforward, doable, meets both U.S. and Russian best interests.
Missing Zelenskyy in the mix doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.
I’m not choosing sides but I would like to see some peaceful talk and strategy from both sides. I hope and pray that the war between these two nations stops forever. May God be a guiding force for them all even if there are some who deny God.
He has no role in a bilateral phone call.
In one of his press gabbles, President Trump said that US aid to Ukraine during a cease-fire was not discussed. But here the Russians say it was.
Zelensky is not a factor. He should be in Switzerland or France. Relaxing.
Zelenskyy lost that privilege when he took 350 billion of our tax dollars, while admitting he doesn’t know where more than half of it is currently. He gave up his country’s sovereignty long ago when he decided to defer everything to the rest of the world, primarily the U.S. The world’s a nasty place and Ukraine’s currently one of the epicenters.
The Abraham Accords could only happen because the Palestinians were NOT invited to the negotiation
A Ukraine peace deal will only happen if Ukraine is NOT invited to the negotiation.
In both cases the troublemakers “have no cards,” had nothing meaningful to contribute but could/would just derail everything.
Ukraine cannot survive on its own without charity from the US. The EU cannot substitute for the US because the EU also cannot survive as it has been doing its own without charity from the US. Ukraine will have to take what it gets. So will the EU.
Can Canada join in on the hockey matches ?
It is our game .
NO just F OFF with your DICTATOR CARNEY.
God bless President Trump! He has been saved from congressional attacks, election interference, endless lawfarw and assassin’s bullets for a bigger purpose. Without devine assistance where would the world be. World War III?
THAT was beautiful, TY YHWH!
Overnight the Russian media reported one Ukrainian drone strike against Russian energy export infrastructure:
“At least one Ukrainian UAV struck the Kavkazskaya oil transshipment point in Kuban, Krasnodar Krai. The Kavkazskaya oil transshipment point is designed for transshipment of Russian oil by railway and into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium JSC pipeline system. It transfers an average of 6 million tons of oil per year.”

Here is a Russian-authored perspective, authored by a German historian now living in Istanbul. It is well-considered and, I think, well worth reading:
https://www.rt.com/news/614446-trump-putin-phone-call/
Headline: “The Putin-trump call was a resounding success – whatever was said.”
Lede: “The presidents of Russia and the US, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, have had a long telephone call. Yet the sky has not fallen and the Earth is not shaking. In other words, at least as far as we know now, those expecting instant sensations must have been disappointed.”
Update: Another piece from the same source . . .
https://www.rt.com/russia/614470-diplomacy-returns-russian-experts/
This piece, far more “meaty” than the first, engages the opinion of several Russian diplomatic and political experts. Including the head of their “Valdai Discussion Club.” (Which you should be monitoring anyway …)
These are people with very diverse and international perspectives, and deep knowledge. I would therefore recommend this one even above my first. Read both. Slowly. Carefully.
Excellent lede here, too: “The most significant takeaway from the recent call was that it truly felt like a dialogue, not two separate monologues. Importantly, it wasn’t conducted via typical, ultimatum-style demands – “accept our terms or face the consequences.” Russia refused to be baited into such rhetoric, and thankfully, the United States also avoided taking such a futile stance.
An undeniable step forward was made, as both sides showed genuine intent toward achieving tangible results. Unlike Europe’s provocative stance – claiming Russia must accept a 30-day ceasefire or be labeled anti-peace – the conversation prioritized comprehensive, long-term solutions over superficial PR stunts.”
And how about this one: “Critically, the establishment of expert groups to work on specific issues represents a practical step forward. Leaders set the tone, but experts will fill in the substantive details. Diplomacy, it seems, has truly returned.”
Let us pray.
Thanks Mike for your sources, Treepers like yourself make this place special.
Respect and dignity in diplomacy are in fashion again.
These are the times many have prayed for and gone all their lives never seeing.
We are blessed to be witness to and part of this pivotal movement in history.
Skynews is carrying live videos of Zelenskyy on this topic
Zelenskyy: Putin’s words ‘different from reality’
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is speaking in Helsinki at a news conference with Alexander Stubband, the Finnish president.
He accuses Putin of breaking a promise made during his call with Trump to halt attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, saying the Russian leader’s words are “very different from reality”
“Even this night, after Putin’s talk with Trump, when Putin allegedly said he had given the order to stop strikes on Ukrainian energy targets, 150 drones struck energy infrastructure and transport,” he says
Zelenskyy also adds that Ukraine is willing to provide a list of its energy infrastructure facilities for a halt on strikes to be implemented.
He says he will speak with Trump today to discuss the details of this Sunday’s ceasefire talks in Jeddah.
On NATO membership for Ukraine, Zelenskyy says his country would make the bloc stronger, adding the Ukrainian military has “one of the strongest” armies in modern warfare.
Asked about his red lines for negotiations, Zelenskyy says it’s important Ukraine does not lose its independence and sovereignty by handing over land to Russia.

Trump and Zelenskyy to speak for first time since Oval Office clash
Earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed he would speak to Donald Trump today.
Addressing media in Helsinki, Zelenskyy said he would be “discussing the details” of Trump’s call with Vladimir Putin last night.
The exchange will be Zelenskyy and Trump’s first direct contact since their fiery exchange in the Oval Office last month.
The Ukrainian was in Washington expecting to sign a critical minerals deal but left early after he and Trump clashed in front of the world’s cameras.
Update:
Trump-Zelenskyy call to happen at 2pm – reports
A planned phone call between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump is due to take place at 2pm UK time, according to reports.
Zelenskyy revealed he would be speaking with Trump at a news conference in Finland this morning (see 12.38pm post).
US news website Axios is reporting the call will happen at 10am ET (2pm UK time).
everything that Zelenskyy says is a lie. He lives in a fantasy world and can never see reality. That is why he is losing so badly in the war all while he tells the US lies about how Russia is weak and evil.
Z-Bag’s Insane Clown Posse routine has gone stale.
He continues to exhibit before the entire world why Russia must secure her peoples’ lands.
Pray for Peace, Pray for Odessa.
So Putin has agreed to halt attacks on “energy infrastructure” for 30 days. The energy delivery system in Ukraine is mostly thrashed already. There is no way that the U.S./NATO and Zelensky abide by their promises. Putin knows that very well. Putin did agree to treat POWs humanly. The Russians have always done that. Putin has also said outside mercenaries captured in the Kursk region will be treated as terrorists.
That is one area where I could see Putin helping out Trump. If any of the non Ukrainian soldiers captured in Kursk are Americans, I think he would probably return them as a show of goodwill.
This exercise is all so that Putin can later call Trump and say, “You see, Donald? I told you so.”
Well that didn’t take very long.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/ukraine-quickly-intentionally-broke-putin-trump-deal-energy-targets-moscow
No the energy “delivery” system is not trashed on two accounts.
The first is the pipeline from Russia to Ukraine and through the Ukraine to the EU, which the Ukraine controls and has shut off. The only source of quick money the Ukraine has left.
The second is the Russians focused on energy “creation sources” and left the transmission infrastructure in tact … to allow transmission from Russia and Belarus, if hostilities actually end in a treaty.
The halt on air & sea attacks on infrastructure actually de-fangs the Ukraine, as that is the only line of attack they have, which causes any pain to Russia …. and has the benefit of relieving suffering on Ukrainian Citizens by allowing energy to reach their homes.
This is also the easiest are of hostilities to close down … because there are NO territorial boundary and demarcation questions involved as well as there can be NO doubt about violations. A first step in negotiations that can have some success.
OK. I should have said the energy infrastructure that the Russians were interested in shutting down in Ukraine has largely been dealt with.
Soon the media will be saying that Trump is starting ww3, and should be impeached.
Hockey Diplomacy … nice. There are allot of ex-NHL Stars from Russian, Canada, US and Scandinavia who play in the KHL.
The NHL had to play the political game during their, just completed, World Tournament, that included; US, Canada, Sweden and Finland. Like I said above, never mind that players from Canada, Sweden and Finland PLAY in the KHL … for money.
A peace settlement and renewed US-Russian diplomacy will be a REAL “Miracle on Ice.”
In less than 24 hours Ukraine already violated the no bomb energy facilities.
Less than 24 hours later, Russia has accused Ukraine of already breaking the Trump agreement. Russia’s defense ministry on Wednesday said Ukraine attack an oil transfer facility in Russia’s Krasnodar Region that services an international pipeline operation partially owned by American investors.
Russia also last night attacked non energy facilities just like I said they would do yesterday.
At this time I do not think Russia will restart bombing Ukraine energy facilities. They have plenty of other targets to bomb now. So Russia will play the good guy card and keep honoring the no energy bombing for now. This gives them more world wide good guy status. Ukraine evil and US may be evil if they cannot control their puppet Ukraine.
Trump now has a chance to show he is really interested in peace if he calls Zelenskyy and tells him to stop. If no call then Trump really is not interested in honoring the no energy bombing ceasefire. I am waiting for your call Trump. Control your boy Zelenskyy and your paid stooges in Ukraine. Trump could then do the logical thing and stop all aid and intel to Ukraine. But he tried that before for only a couple days and aid and intel did not really stop.
Russia will be watching Trump for his actions. If none, then Russia will know they cannot trust Trump to honor any agreement. Ball is in Trump’s court now. He must control his puppet as that is key to any real ceasefire.
“Energy infrastructure” and “energy and infrastructure” are two different things.
What Russia says they agreed to and what the White House says are two different things.
We should be discussing about what the definition of IS is.
We should be discussing how one is a bigger concession than the other, so which one did Russia make?
We should also be discussing what “infrastructure” could include, that “energy infrastructure” doesn’t.
During the call Putin gave trump some chances to make overtures toward peace.
When Putin talked about providing Ukraine with Equipment and targeting Intel, he gave Ttrump an opening.
Trump did not so much as to offer a “Deal” to match Putin’s stopping attacks on Energy.
Trump could have stopped weapons or intel with an order. Just as Putin quickly did stopping energy attacks.
There were other openings as well for Trump to step up to the peace plate which he shirked.
The call was concluded by Putin’s statement dripping with sarcasm. About having a hockey game.
Hockey is Putin’s favorite sport he plays it very well.
Let me translate that last statement Putin made:
“Well Mr president Trump. If all you are here for is to play games and waste my time.. Perhaps we can arrange a Hockey match so we can both be entertained ”
As for energy attack agreements we have all been there before. ukraine has broken them with our long range weapons provided.

Russia and Ukraine have exchanged 175 prisoners of war each, Moscow says
Russia and Ukraine have exchanged hundreds of prisoners as arranged during the Trump-Putin call last night, Moscow says.
Moscow’s defence ministry said 175 Ukrainian soldiers had been swapped for 175 Russians.
Moscow also returned 22 heavily wounded Ukrainian prisoners in need of urgent medical care in what it called a “goodwill gesture”.
That’s one fewer than had been expected, with no reason given for the difference.
Moscow said the United Arab Emirates mediated the deal and that freed Russian soldiers were in Belarus awaiting to travel home.
Putin may be a thug, a Communist, Stasi, KGB, an oligarch, a fascist and a dictator. But he’s OUR thug, Communist, Stasi, KGB, oligarch, fascist and dictator!
I don’t know that he’s any worse than the Globalists who control Washington DC.
At least Mr. Putin seems to be on the side of his own nation.
“his American partners…”
I was born when Ike was President and remember the Cuban missile crisis and the Cold War.
Somehow this phrase warms my heart.
Yes, trust but verify, yet this just feels hopeful to me.
Thank You , Lord.
I could see Elon and Trump buying a Russian Hockey team franchise and promoting the NHL AND KHL on X and Truth Social(?). Trump and Musk could try to get the world wide media broadcast rights for all the KHL games broadcast . Elon could broadcast them on X or on tic toc if he buys it.
OH, what wouldn’t I give to have Pres. Trump stop everything –with the Ukies!?
Have Elon turn off the Starlink.
No more “guidance” for the missles.
No more intel.
No more money$ –or weapons.
Simply ghost them!
