With Ukraine in a vulnerable position due to the USA ‘pause’ in Ukraine missiles and drones targeting systems, President Trump appears to be telling Vladimir Putin directly not to exploit the vulnerability or Russia will face enhanced economic pressure points.
President Trump is putting pressure on both sides to reach an interim ceasefire agreement.
President Trump is also well aware that there are no banking, tariff or sanction pressure points that could materially hurt Russia or will impact the decision making of President Putin. Accept the public messaging for what it is.

Threats and actions like this will ensure that there is no ceasefire. Russia has long ago factored in these sanctions. This just enforces that America is the enemy. There persists the belief in the west that we have leverage against Russia. Russia is crushing Ukraine and the Ukraine is quickly running out of men. Supplies are scare and we the west don’t have the manufacturing capacity to keep up. Our supplies to send from stores are mostly gone. Even if we put nato troops on the ground our own troops would quickly run through our reserve stocks of weapons. Russia isn’t agreeing to any ceasefire that allows for rearming Ukraine. There is no peace coming anytime soon. Trump really should take full advantage of Zelenskyy’s mistake to walk away and not be responsible for the Ukraine disaster.
Relax, and think. If you know that Russia is winning, and that sanctions wouldn’t have a negative effect on Russia, then doesn’t it stand to reason that Presidents Trump & Putin also know this? And they know that each other know.
But it is nice to have a day where the media isn’t screaming that Trump is Putin’s puppet. What a glorious day to be winning, and grateful to God that we have President Trump and his team working to restore our nation and the world.
DJT has to walk a tightrope – and a pronouncement such as this mollifies the ‘Russia-Russia-Russia’ gang, while really having only a minimal effect.

Trump has a weak hand. All the military aid is producing is a long, slow, expensive, defeat. We’re not putting in troops.
By pounding away at Ukraine, combined with less US direct support (we don’t just give them money), it hastens Ukraine’s defeat. To some extent, Russia pounding away forces Ukraine to reconsider its intransigence.
At some point, faced with heavy casualties and a leader who pissed off America, their military will “solve” the Zekensky problem.
So I hear what Trump is saying and I understand why. But Russia needs to provide an illustration of what life for the Ukraine military and its “fight to the last non-politician Ukrainian man” President is like without US military direct support.
Sanctions won’t hurt Russia. Trump already knows this.
Russia also has a problem if they make peace with Ukraine. The problem is their real foe is the EU/globullusts. To end the war for good, Russia would need to get an agreement with them. Given what the EU is doing, that seems very unlikely.

I think one of the spots President Trump has leverage against Putin is the price of oil. It was over $100 a barrel when this war started. Today it sits at $66 and falling. Putin really does need to have something to show after this war other than a little bit of land.
Sub $50 a barrel oil is $hit for Russia. DJT holds some really good cards when it comes time to play that hand!
$55 is still above Russia’s costs. The biggest loser at that price is probably US ally Saudi Arabia. The biggest winner, China, ooops.
Low oil prices aren’t good news for OPEC, either. Any country whose primary export (and source of revenue) is oil, will be impacted by low prices.
I’m sure Putin and MBS (Saudi Arabia) are aware that oil price per barrel will be heading down shortly – as the US ramps up production. Trump and Putin already have a deal. Ukraine getting pounded is for the people who’ve been telling us the fight was close and even. It isn’t and hasn’t been for a long time. The tariff stuff has been okayed by Putin as he understands Trumps situation with the left and the EU. Time for the EU to push z to the table.

PDJT wants to get the cokehead to the table. Trump’s warning looks like an increase in sanctions on the RF, but based on earlier acts, I don’t think he wants to do that. This appears as a balanced threat to get to the table, but is part of Trump’s herding of Ukraine towards talks. The RF knows already the purpose of this ‘threat’. Will Zelsnskyy and the EU disregard this, and think it is only aimed at the RF? They are on the spot with this announcement, not the RF.
If the USA seriously wants to broker peace in this “situation,” it is going to have to confront Russia’s legitimate national security concerns. And, to do that, the USA is going to have to own up to its own(!) very major part in what has happened. Indeed, since and before “the coup.”
Trump didn’t do these things. And, as he says, he never would have. But they were done, nonetheless. And they are now his skeleton to bury, as the country’s sole diplomatic officer.
Yes, Russia is now “pounding Ukraine.” (It’s called, winning.) They’re not going to stop doing that until the total matter has been equitably resolved. “Tariffs and sanctions” aren’t going to be enough in this case.

PDJT is focused on the peace deal. Zelenskyy has very little maneuvering room. Russia is entirely different (“.. absolutely pounding Ukraine …”) and negotiating with them needs a very different approach.
The big carrot has already been agreed on – full reset of relationship (restoring diplomatic relations, etc.). The talk of serious sanctions, tariffs, etc., is probably just public consumption material. There is little risk that Russia would give up normalization of relations with US for the sake of more territory in Ukraine.
I am likely oversimplifying but the overarching goal (benefit for USA) seems to be to weaken the BRICS group. Clearly, Russia and perhaps India, would be first logical targets in this effort. This is winning – stop war, engage Russia, weaken BRICS and strengthen USA at the same time!

I remember reading a treatise on the book of Revelation in the early 70s that indicated Russia would be taking the lead in the Final Battle on the side of good, and as someone that had lived through his formative years with all the anti-Russia propaganda couldn’t see how that would be possible.

I think the best outcome would be to keep the military aid turned off and let Russia free their people in the Eastern part of Ukraine. There is still enough MSM clout, and enough critical mass of anti-Trump and middle of the road voters where that narrative would play. I am hopeful that he and Putin are in lock step on this and we are just seeing it play out in slow motion.
Zelinsky and his people say that Zelensky will not apologies for his actions at the White House and one of them said words to the effect that they do not need the US.
Yet the US State Department and others are going to Arabia (I think it’s Arabia) to continue discussions about peace talks.
I cannot begin to describe my disappointment that President Trump allows this abuse and obvious disrespect to continue. I cannot even begin to understand why he would allow the this person and country to laugh at us as though we are weak.

Here is my theory: I think US/Russia have a deal on the table. That includes a ceasefire on both sides. The US effectively ceased firing yesterday by shutting the long range targeting systems. The soldiers fighting at the frontlines are ineffectual in material sense. Russia has a counter offer and that’s outside of Trump’s parameters so he pushed back. So, Russia is using this period to solidify its defenses by weakening Ukrainian/NATO offensive capabilities in the Western Ukraine region. Hence the Trump post. Negotiations at the high stakes conflict.

According to the Military Summary Channel on Youtube which I have been following for years, There were massive Russian strikes all over Ukraine yesterday (and continuing today) on the gas storage facilities and also pipelines by missiles and drones including Western Ukraine which is probably why Pres Trump reacted. There are no sanctions or tariffs the US can add that will make any difference to Russia.
In fact, the sanctioning and Russophobia displayed by the US and Europe have given Russia the incentive to insulate their economy from the West and turn to the east. With essentially no debt, their economy grew 4.1% last year, with the oil and gas sector becoming lessened in percentage of its’ GDP. Manufacturing has taken the lead, they are essentially now self sufficient, free of the parasitical western banks and trading with a multitude of countries that could care less what the West does.
The biggest irony is Europe continues to import the majority of it’s oil and gas from Russia, albeit through middle men who increase the cost several fold, so they can pretend that they are not dependent on Russia.
Trump needs to walk away from this and not get himself tangled into the neocon mess. Most of the world does NOT know this. The elites of Europe and the Swamp may not know this. (If they do know it they can never acknowledge it in public.) The media does not know this. The Ukraine people do not know this. Zelensky may or might not know this (probably not.)
So, Trump can posture by threatening sanctions. The world will believe he is being very tough (especially after he has used tariff sanctions very effectively against other countries.) But Putin will know Trump is just posturing and so will not overreact, will not get emotional, will not feel threatened.
In other words Trump is using these threats to awe the EU and at the same time to calm Putin. That is how Trump can overcome resistance to negotiating a peace. All the resistance is coming from the EU, the IC DeepState Swamp, the Media and Zelensky; not from Putin.

The sanctions forced Russia and it’s heavily sactioned wealthy oligarchs to look inward for investment and for construction of modern manufacturing tech and infratstucture.
They are now three years ahead of us in upgrading and creating an internal resource mangement and manufacturing framework which shields them from external economic pressure!
The sanctions acted like “tariffs” do, to protect from external pressure; something the BIDEN geniuses never figured out as an unforeseen benefit to Russia.
I suspect President Trump is perhaps giving Russia equal treatment
to be seen to be fair LOL
