I mean, why would one ever want to burn hydrocarbon gas directly in an oven or on a stove top to cook food or in a heater to heat water or warm one’s house when instead it can be burned at some remote location to cause a turbine to spin to drive a generator to produce electricity to put through a transformer to boost the voltage to send over miles and miles of transmission lines to put through another series of transformers to distribute to the transformer near your house to power an electrical resistive element to generate heat to do the same thing?? Surely the second method is waaaay more efficient!!

Is there a similar map showing Ukrainian populations in the countries surrounding Ukraine? Not the ones who fled since the Russian invasion in 2022, but those living in surrounding areas for generations before then. The point is, the current formal borders of Ukraine were never determined by Ukrainians but by the leaders of the other nationalities over the last few centuries who controlled those areas at the end of previous wars and invasions. Except of course for Crimea, which was never Ukrainian and was simply added to the Ukrainian SSR by Khrushchev in 1954, never dreaming that the USSR would ever cease to be.
