IMO another BIG advantage to having hugely successful people running some aspects of government is that they are resistant to financial bribery.
They have willingly volunteered their time in service to the country, when they could be enjoying themselves doing something else.

I think this is the right thing to do, but I’m not so sure about the rapid path to citizenship part.
We get taken advantage of this way. People sneak in under cover of seeking refuge all the time, people who should not be allowed in.

Admittedly I’m naive, but I have a solution to this year’s budget fight. Pass the continuing resolution with one caveat Add a statement that this budget is to set the maximum limit to be spent and that any savings the executive can find are automatically authorized. This will allow DOGE to do its job without having to face any court action. The fiscal hawks should go along with this and allow it to pass with only republicans voting for it.
Good thought but it abdicates the Constitutional authority of Executive Branch over to joint authority between Congress and Executive. So, no. Keep thinking, because it is only way to get a solve.

By doing so, the department proves they need all of the funds.
They also get full advantage of any % increase in budget for the next fiscal year – without competition for funding.

One serious problem in America is that inconsistency from administration to administration makes long-amortization projects uneconomic at the outset. Nobody in their right mind is going to invest in something with a 20 or 40 year period during which it is expected to produce revenue when an administration can turn over in four year or Congress in two and suddenly outlaw it.
I put forward a potential long term energy policy 14 years ago ago that resolves many of these issues but without hard evidence that it would not be destroyed the next time someone else takes office nobody is going to do the engineering work to complete that and then build it out. Such a policy and implementation would provide both stable electrical supply and petroleum fuels on a forward basis for hundreds of years but in order to actually do so you have to convince industry that their investment will not be destroyed by a Presidential pen two or four years hence, exactly as Keystone was by Biden and nuclear reprocessing was by Carter.
Are we ready to resolve that problem? There’s no evidence we are at this point but again, if you want economic progress you must solve this because the laws of economics are not suggestions and behind every unit of economic output is a unit of energy.

And…This is the same problem for bringing back most investments in businesses and build up of manufacturing here in the US.
It takes a long time to recoup the initial major investment in any business or infrastructure, large or small. So a “wind change” every 2 -4 years by executive order or change in political party that can be overridden by the next election does not make for sound long term planing or Main Street investment. Wall Street can make money on both the up swing and the down fall swing of the equation, but Main Street and infrastructure requires steady investment, building, and opportunities.
For the health of our country, this problem must be not only addressed, but solved.
The climate change/green new deal and DEI/Woke crap along with over burdensome regulations really sent this country backwards instead of forwards.

I’d like to know how many eggs people are eating that it’s even a factor in someone’s daily life. I mean, my goodness, are you eating them 4x a day.
A lot of the fitness bros eat six or so eggs at one time. Now that people finally understand that eggs aren’t bad for you as the government claimed, consumption is up.
A family with three kids could easily use a dozen eggs in one day.
when you put it into perspective, even if you pay $7+ a dozen it’s very minor compared to so many other things we consume….a sandwich, a Starbucks, a bag of candy or chips, etc.
I used to laugh at myself when doing a lot of business travel…hesitating spending $8 for a paperback book in the airport that would give me hours of entertainment and not blinking an eye to spend that much for something to drink or eat that would be gone in 10 minutes.
The problem is, of course, we all got use to paying $1.50 for a dozen eggs…but I also remember buying stamps for 3 cents, too! So what if a family of 5 uses a dozen eggs a day…that same family most likely has been paying almost as much for a loaf of bread for a long time, as well as the cheese and lunch meat to use with the bread.
We go through about a doz and a half a week.
Cooking and baking consume eggs as well.
My poundcake recipe, for example, calls for 5 large eggs.
I use 3 eggs in my Quiche recipe.

I think that it’s safe to say that, if you use it for “as many documents” as they now claim, “something underhanded” is definitely to be openly suspected. Particularly when the apparent mental deficiency of the “signer” is in very plain view.

The Constitution clearly states that Congress has the responsibility of conferring citizenship.
As such, review the Naturalization Act of 1790, reworded in 1795.

The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
The laws you speak of passed before the 14th Amendment. The Supreme Court will be taking this up. My guess is that they will rule that if you squat in a field on American soil, your child is a citizen. The reason I think this is because if they ruled the other way, they would be stripping tens of millions of people of their citizenship. I think they are too chicken to rule what I believe, and the folks who wrote the 14th Amendment believed – one of your parents must be a U.S. citizen.
Therefore, perhaps you are correct. It will be up to the Congress to pass legislation that clarifies. There is no chance the Democrats will allow our interpretation to pass in the Senate.

OK, I checked. Here is a better answer.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the power “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.” This means Congress has the authority to create laws governing how immigrants can become U.S. citizens. They did so in 1790, 1795, and via Section I of the 14th Amendment which was ratified on 9 July, 1868.
The Naturalization Act of 1795, like the 1790 Act, is silent on birthright citizenship, focusing instead on the naturalization process for immigrants. The problem comes with the sloppily written Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.
14th Amendment, Section 1 –
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

In a 6-2 decision, the Supreme Court held that under the 14th Amendment, Wong Kim Ark was a U.S. citizen by virtue of his birth on American soil. There are two types of birthright citizenship: Jus Soli (“Right of the Soil”) and Jus Sanguinis (“Right of Blood”). You are correct that the 1790 and 1795 Naturalization Act talks about Right of Blood birthright citizenship. In the five years between there was a contingent who claimed that Congress was ‘making’ natural born citizens out of children who were not born to two citizen parents.
Doesn’t that sound familiar in today’s climate?
Congress has established birthright citizenship to plenty of people born on the soil of these United States whom did not have two citizen parents.
Not one of those children thus born were required to go through the naturalization process (also a Congressional formation) in order to claim citizenship.
That includes freed slaves. The 14th Amendment conferred citizenship upon them, which meant their offspring — if conceived via another citizen (another freed slave or not . . .) — would be a natural born citizen.
Since it would be hard-pressed, today, to find any living person that is the child of a freed slave, the 14th Amendment is rendered moot due to the passage of time.
Anyone attempting to utilize same in a ‘citizenship’ argument might only be angling for the ‘freed slaves’ portion in trying to persuade anyone who listens, that slavery is on-going and hence, people who have ‘forcibly’ (by their own government?; via economic hardships?; due to the destruction of their homeland?) been inputted onto U.S. soil then can claim 14th Amendment protections (aka citizenship) inure to their children.

And the chickens, depending upon brand and pricing, are completely outdoors, able to peck and scratch off the ground. The yolks are generally a dark orange.
I have become spoiled on dark orange yolks. You can’t really go back to the others.

I remember doing it at times, when I lived in the city, …and where I live now, there are numerous places where you can get “potable” (drinking) water, and fill up a 300 gallon ‘tote’ for,…..$1.00! lol.
Boy howdy if you can “tote” 300 gallons I am going to be most respectful in the comment section when you are around!
One box of 6 one-gallon jugs would weigh 48 pounds – I used to get those all the time but realized it was a bit much – so would just tote one or two individually from the garage.
They taste a lot better.

Yup. The organics at Walmart this morning were around $6.00 and I saw it as a good deal.
The other dozens right next to them started at $8 and went up to $11.
Last time I calculated it, the good feed cost for my hens cost me about $5/doz not including labor or coop.
One of the locals I buy from has a big Trump sign he painted out front. I gave him a flag that I had.
Most local feed from the the Amish around here.
And the bugs cost nothing. I got no problem with eating bugs, no problem at all,…so long as their protien is cycled thru trout, talapai, chickens, quail and pigs, first.
THEY have the right idea,…sort of. It is actually possible to use a # of labor saving methods to “harvest” a LOT of bugs, their attraction to light, for example…
And thats before you get to actually raising them en mass…and they can easily be processed into high protien/carb FEED, for a variety of animals, not sure about cattle, but certainly fish, (aquponics) any kind of bird, and with processing probably pigs, and even rabbits.
I’ll pass on the tilapia junk fish.

I have been telling my missus eggs ought to be $12/doz..
We have had maybe 10 doz of these white eggs, they taste like
dreck.
We take the duck eggs that no one wants to eat and hard boil them. Feed them to the chickens. They inhale them.
The Krogers we use in Allen, TX actually sells their Store Brand for about $5.00 per dozen.
However, that is slightly inflated because that is paying Jumbo Egg Prices for small-medium eggs. Got to say, the store we use has not mislabeled the egg cartons, yet.
The odd non-store brands and egg products sell for about 2x. Have not seen anything labeled free range on the shelves, yet.
Since the fake bird flu flew in. Check your cartons, jumbo is filled with medium eggs.
On my fake effbook free ranging farm, we sell eggs $5 a dozen.

In 2017, Eggs were under a dollar at Aldi’s. I remember them being 50 cents or less per dozen then.
I don’t know why they were that cheap. I made a lot of Omelets!
