Let me tell a brief story.
My son graduated from a west coast land grant college in 2013. Back in the days of SATs he scored in the 99th percentile combined in the the three categories of the test…
Remember how our best bud(total sarcasm), Nancy Pelosi, kept the house going on Christmas Eve night in 2010, as she presided over a lame duck Congress, and passed the the Affordable Care Act….a.k.a. Obamacare?
Previously to this crap bill passing, the OMB had “swept the streets” in their process of evaluating this new bill, and determined that if the Dept of Education took over all student loans, that would “contribute” 80 or 90 billion dollars of revenue/(profit?) to support the new O. Hussein health care. You know, the Fed. Government could get zero percent money from the Fed and hand it out to college students at 8 % interest.
My wife, and I and my son were involved in this scam….as most universities were involved with the government to “pull this off”. Big grants and lots of them, were made to the colleges to help them comply.
When my son went to college, in 2009, our farming family was under some financial stress, due to our permanent crop we grow having serious permanent production decline.
We had a private loan for my sons college costs in 2009, and then DOE took over the servicing of the loan. At this west coast land grant college, tuition, etc., rose every year by 10% minimum. The cost of my son’s college for his parents (he had his own loan) ended up in 2013 at over six figures. And, after paying for all of these years (with a brief respite during the covid scam), we still owe at quarter under six figures.
All we have heard during the Joe Bite Me administration, from the media, is “student loan” forgiveness is for all the people in the U.S. who do not deserve it. “All of those people” are mainly from a very distinct group….Obama/Biden supporters. We never heard one thing about this forgiveness, but yet by a tenuous association with other student borrowers we are vilified in the press.

I would like to propose here that if there is to be student loan relief (at least a very thorough examination of the whole process of the Obama/Biden/Dept. of Ed. should be conducted), that all of the colleges and universities across America should provide that relief. There are big endowment monies at most universities of any worth. The universities all have the registrations records of past students from 2010-on, and could easily facilitate this relief process from their funds.
And perhaps, rein in these universities from social engineering to rock solid education.

When I was attending, there was a severe deficit. Instructors had to pay for dry erase markers,
etc. The college was 50 million in debt.
Another state entity (Georgia State) took it over. About 3 years later. I helped my daughter
go through enrollment, and all of the furniture in the center where enrollment occurred had
been replaced. AND it wasn’t even remotely old looking 3 years prior. They were making
study benches out of stone out on the quad right and left.
It angered me after I enrolled my daughter. Dekalb College ( A state university, paid for partly
by my tax dollars) had gone belly up. Another state university ( also paid for from taxes) had
replaced it, and the new owners were spending $$$ on it like crack whores.
…..and the Federal regional climate centers, the emphasis on sports(I was an athlete), the harboring of subversive elements,
etc., the list is long of the reforms needed at US universities.
I feel your pain! My first 2 have graduated but still have one left in Law School. It’s also disheartening that all summer job opportunities through the law school are only for people of color.
Not just the summer jobs. No matter how low tuition goes, the foreign students get subsidized by their home countries (sometimes) and not alone do they make up too large a percentage of the student body, DEI and H1B enable them to take the lion’s share of the available jobs.
We are watching a caste system being imposed in America, where all the white-collar professional-type jobs will go to dark-skinned foreigners, and the blue collar jobs will go to Americans, except Americans will still have to compete for work with H1B workers.
EVERYONE in our government is okay with this.
You think it’s bad now, wait until more people like Vivek who LIE about the skills of American workers, get elected to office.
I have a relative who got a four-year degree from a state school. People like to say that was stupid, a liberal arts degree is worthless, but the truth was, if you did not have a four-year degree, no matter what it was in, your resume would automatically be kicked from the system, you could not even get an interview, for any sort of white collar, managerial work at all.
Then she went back for more schooling, in the tech field, because without the credentials she could not get any job, and it also mattered which school you got the credential from.
She went to work for a major corporation. She had no way of knowing that, not only because of DEI, but because of the H1B racket, she was never going to move up, and that she would be the first to go if they had layoffs.
Now she is doing gig work, until she is old enough to retire. At least she might not have to compete with as many illegal aliens soon.
It makes me furious whensomeone like Elon or Vivek LIE and say Americans were raised wrong or we have to have H1B in order to hire the best and the brightest.
Too many big fat liars in government as it was, and it’s only going to get worse.

There was some funny business with loan rates as well, people had the opportunity to “lock in” loan rates before they went up, and didn’t know that they were supposed to be told whether rates were going up or down, so they locked in at a high rate, something like that.

A Rhode Island US District Judge has indefinitely blocked President Trump’s freeze on federal grants and loans, arguing in his ruling that the White House had “put itself above Congress” and undermined democracy.
The president is above congress. Congress is elected by its state, the president is elected by ‘all’ the people.
That is factually incorrect.
The President and Congress are separate branches of government with separate powers, though the President can sometimes override Congress in emergencies.
You need a civics refresher … It’s referred to as the Separation of Powers that confer Checks and Balances between the 3-Branches of the US Government defined by the Articles of the Constitution. No Branch is above the other: each has a unique set of powers and authority NOT shared with the others and vested in those unique powers and authority are checks on the other 2 – Branches of the Government which balance the powers and authority held by each branch.
No Branch is “above the other”.
Details from various sources about that $2 billion:
The $2 billion in USAID funding that Trump froze was intended for various foreign aid projects, including medical equipment supply in Vietnam and Nepal, waterworks upgrades in Lagos, Nigeria, and efforts to combat malaria in several African countries. This funding was meant for work that had already been completed [Oh, really? WHO specifically CHECKED and also checked for the likely FRAUD? – W] by nonprofit aid groups and contractors.
The Justice Department appealed Ali’s order to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, but it declined to intervene after finding that order could not be appealed.
In seeking emergency relief from the Supreme Court, acting Solicitor General Sarah Harris asked the court to first temporarily halt the district court’s order — pausing last Wednesday night’s deadline for the administration to unfreeze foreign aid funds — and then toss it out altogether.
Harris said that Ali’s order was not limited to payments to the nonprofits and companies that brought the case, but was more broad and required it to pay nearly $2 billion on thousands of payment requests.
“This new order requiring payment of enormous sums of foreign-assistance money in less than 36 hours intrudes on the prerogatives of the Executive Branch,” she wrote in a Supreme Court filing. “The president’s power is at its apex — and the power of the judiciary is at its nadir — in matters of foreign affairs.”
The acting solicitor general said the district court’s order prevents the executive branch from not only “ensuring that foreign-aid payments are consistent with the president’s policy priorities, but from conducting even basic diligence to ensure that payments are free from fraud and abuse.”
But lawyers for the company and nonprofits urged the Supreme Court to deny Mr. Trump’s request, in part because it lacks jurisdiction to review a district court order that directed the government to comply with its temporary measure.
“The government’s application, in this posture, amounts to a request for license to continue defying” a temporary restraining order [from a District Judge!] that requires it to administer USAID and State Department programs established under the law, they argued [and the SCOTUS agreed! – W]

This Agreement is until April 2nd. I did this as an accommodation, and out of respect for, President Sheinbaum. Our relationship has been a very good one, and we are working hard, together, on the Border, both in terms of stopping Illegal Aliens from entering the United States and, likewise, stopping Fentanyl. The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland ruled that the Maryland State Board of Elections (SBE) violated federal law – the National Voter Registration Act, and unlawfully suppressed plaintiffs’ efforts to research anomalies within the state’s voter records.
Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections (RITE) sued Maryland’s SBE in January of 2024 on behalf of two citizen activists, Kate Sullivan and David Morsberger. Ms. Sullivan and Mr. Morsberger had been researching whether the state was removing non-residents, the deceased, and duplicate registrations from the voter rolls. Upon presenting their concerns to the SBE, the SBE issued a new regulation to stop them from conducting investigations. The SBE even assessed a criminal penalty for federally protected activities such as speaking with fellow voters, and blocked access to key information such as access and use of state records on voter history. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) requires that states make voter history information available to the public.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland delivered a resounding and complete victory in RITE’s favor. The court held that the SBE had violated federal law and endorsed RITE’s position that the NVRA requires that states make voter history information available to the public. This is the most direct ruling from any court in the country on that issue to date.
The State Board of Elections has now lost two federal court cases in five years for not adhering to federal law via the NVRA.
As National Committeewoman, I’ve enumerated my concerns that the SBE has been failing to properly maintain voter rolls and failing to safeguard the integrity of mail-in ballots in Maryland. But, the SBE impugned their motives when they sought to criminally punish activists who asked basic questions. This action further brought into question the SBE’s commitment to transparent and fair elections. RITE’s unequivocal federal court victory should inspire the SBE to adhere to the National Voter Registration Act in every aspect.

OMG – after President Trump signed the Executive Order cutting off security clearance to the Perkins Coie law firm while also investigating about 50 other law firms that “illegally use DEI policies’ – he then signed an Executive Order that requires any law firm or individual who files a lawsuit against President Trump’s policies in order to get a temporary restraining order (TRO) that filing must be accompanied by a financial bond so that when the person or firm that files the lawsuit loses they also lose the financial bond!
President Trump is going to make these lawfare folk pay both by their law firms losing access to security clearances and also losing by making them pay – up front!

We’ve got some funding bills coming up in Congress quickly. Trump and DOGE need to work with Congress on what the new budget levels should be for the agencies they have studied. If they have been blocked by the courts, then the budget is zero. Then the Trump administration can do staffing cuts, with the cooperation and agreement of Congress. That would be difficult for any court to stop .
Nothing is going to happen with cuts until the 2026 budget. There will be a CR in the meantime. There is no choice but to do it this way as they have to do the reconciliation package first (the big beautiful bill), once that is done then they have the framework for the budget process. The process means there is no time to do a budget for this year.
However, Rand Paul came up with a brilliant solution… a Rescission Package. If they can get that through, then they plan to cut $500b from the current monies.
