A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
By the truths they stomp on shall ye know them.

Some of what she said in this interview reminded me about muckety.org, I think it was called – you could enter a person’s name and it would pop up with known connections for that person with other “muckety-mucks” –
But then “muckety” went away and I couldn’t find it anymore. I thought at the time that I used it to look up people that it was pretty powerful to be able to extract all those names and put them together.
The pay level is an appropriate compensation. Why pay someone an extravagant salary as an effort to circumvent their inclination to steal – it will not put a restraint upon them. If they want to make millions or an above average salary let them go into the private sector or become an entrepreneur or business owner like a citizen in the private sector does.
The grift of these government employees and congressmen is because they see that there are no controls and no one is watching the store. The issue is over sight and a tight budget.
With all the vacant yet ‘rented’ buildings in Washington DC…why don’t we create mandatory dormitories for Congress? It would cut their own cost of living in DC or VA….
Security for said people could be centralized. Plus we would always know where they are and who visits them.
And by cutting their living costs in providing them a federally sanctioned place to live, we could cut their salaries. And they could live like many of their constituents…in govt provided housing?

Thirty percent are owned by shell “corporations”. In Vancouver, the most expensive house in the city at $23 million is owned by a 22 year old Chinese student.

Today, most of the drug money in North America is laundered first through our casinos and second, our real estate, bidding up the price so far, that now a shack in the drug-and-homeless-infested east end sells for a million bucks. Every single wealthy Chinese family holds 20% of its wealth abroad, in the U.K., U.S., Australia and of course Canada. What started as an estimated $180 billion a year moving (illegally) out of China, is estimated today to be $180 billion a week.

Starting in 1840 in upstate New York and southern Ontario, the churches worked shilling for money for missionaries to China. The Chinese bring in fentanyl and no doubt children for human trafficking, through our massive port, staffed by immigrants surveilled by Chinese police, and package it/them for export to the U.S. We have fentanyl plants down near the border and no one closes them down because our police are compromised. Our streets, in Vancouver, once a gorgeous suburban Christian city, are littered with homeless so addicted the kindest thing for them is death, but our government, rather than rescuing them, not only gives out the drugs for free, but allows them to die in front of us. Last week, hard drugs were re-criminalized in British Columbia, but thousands of lives have already been destroyed and, for every addict, another family sent to ruin.

As it is a huge source of revenue. Offshore buyers deem it irrelevant, often hide purchases through numbered companies.
Young folks..they pay, and that truly is a crime.
Some of us average folks foresaw this, and purchased an additional property or two, each decade or so.
For example a 60 year old or so house on a decent lot in our average once working class “ hood” and one thats only value is in the dirt.
Would be unaffordable to a couple with a 200K combined income and a 500K down payment.
We are in a truly interesting part of our history.
Hence a mass migration out of these communities by “ average folks” many to Alberta.

I don’t like this move at all.
Parents of mentally and physically disabled children, and those whose kids have learning disabilities should be ready to take to the streets en mass and raise holy he** with their local Congressperson. Giving states block grants to educate these kids is in reality giving local school boards, especially poorer ones in the South and Midwest the OK to deny special needs students their constitutional right to a free and equal education.
Soon they will be able to raise holy hell with their LOCAL ELECTED officials who live in the same town and shop at the same stores……much better control.
Just like it was before 1979. When America was highly educated.
Before 1979 we had HEW. We didn’t have a stand-alone agency, but we did have federal involvement.

These kids seemed to have done better before the U.S. Dept of Ed was created by Carter, in fact all kids recieved better education before then
Prior to DOE the Fed sent $ to each state based on the # of school aged children. The states then distrbuted the $ to each school district.
There is no constitutional right to a free education paid by federal taxpayers, for anyone. It is up to parents to see their children educated.
The free public education wasn’t something given to parents.
Every American was once a child, and the right or whatever you want to call it, to the free public education was to the individual, not to the parents of the individual.
No it isn’t up to parents. The parents are the legal guardians of the minor person getting the education.
He’s not getting good advice. On of the things that made America great was our universal, free public education system, and now people want to dismantle it back to something akin to what we had in the pre-civil war era.
Nothing will be different except that the DOE is being eliminated from the Chain of Command.
Complain to your School Board, Mayor, Governor just like before.
