We have used Chewy for many years. They are great. When our elder dog – Louis – passed away they sent us a planter, it was so kind of them. We had just received the special kidney food for him and we asked them if we should send it back. The said no and suggested we donate it to a local dog rescue place.

One of my first movies was a nice supporting role in a movie called NIGHT MOVES. I was excited, of course, because I was going to get to work with every young actor’s hero, Gene Hackman. And, since they were in town visiting, I was going to be able to invite my mom and stepfather to the set and hopefully they could meet Gene. It went far beyond a polite hello, as Gene spent an hour chatting with them, genuinely interested in their lives. That day was a model for me going forward. I have always prided myself on the way I treat fans, visitors, and friends. And I thank Gene for it. As an actor he was without equal, and as a man, he was one of a kind. Rest in peace, sir.

Very unusual details in this article about Gene Hackman’s death along with his wife and dog.
They said the front door was open, Gene was in a mudroom and appears to have fallen next to a cane, his wife was in the bathroom with prescription pill bottle opened, pills spilled on the floor.
There was a space heater but no evidence of carbon monoxide poisoning they said. And a dead dog but two other dogs were alive nearby.

Sherry laid out Porterhouses to thaw today. I’ll be grilling them tomorrow since the forecast here at my Indiana home is for a high of 58 degrees. Been about 6 weeks since we had steak and I’m looking forward to it!
That reminds me, I need to plug in my grillbot tonight to charge it so it can clean my grill for me tomorrow. With stainless steel brushes the thing does a pretty good job and saves a lot of elbow grease. I also have nylon and copper brushes for it in case my next grill has the ceramic coated grill surface.
