You should have known my piano teacher, Mrs. Hazel Jacobson. She lived in a house right behind ours and had a garden we raided in the summer.
I thought she was crazy, but I found out that actually I was the crazy one. She knew me better than I knew myself.
She said to play Liszt and assigned me the responsibility to “tell a little diddy,” just before the recital.
I don’t remember my little diddy. But, I told it alright. Then, I played everyone some Liszt. Hammer time.

Hazel, your granddaughter, should watch Just Add Magic. I recommend it for her. It ran for an entire three seasons and she’ll love every episode. It’s a binge watch especially if she likes cooking.

Good morning, Bet and JWoo! Last time Elizabeth and I were there 16 years ago for a quick weekend trip for our anniversary. We used to enjoy every visit there. Now, don’t even have the desire to go to Paris due to the Muslim invasion.
On the home font we are going on another “adventure”. On Monday my sister in law fell and broke her wrist. Surgery is tomorrow morning. The real fun part is that due to the dementia she doesn’t remember what happened and keeps wondering what that splint on her arm is for and why the skin is black and blue. It is like the movie 40 First Dates.

Oh golly, dear brother!! You have no idea how much empathy and sympathy I have for your sister in law. I’ve been through it, many years ago with a displaced wrist fracture on Christmas Eve. Took a rod insert but no problems since. In fact I forget it was done. I’ll pray the same for her, dear friend. Bless her heart..I guess if there is any silver lining to her Alzheimer’s this is one small one. Is her surgery being done locally, or in San Antonio….
Keep your fond memories of that City for Lovers which exists no more. I know you and Elizabeth return to them often when all was as right as it could be with the world. For anyone who has travelled or lived abroad as I did, I’m sure it is a painful thing to see what was and what is no more. Even my idyllic Welsh “home” has changed beyond all recognition and not in a good way.

My son’s mil (in very advanced stages of Alzheimers) came to live with them a year ago. For the decades prior, she had lived with her longtime devoted partner. Al had seen to her every need with love. When he became too ill to care for even himself, it became necessary to split them up and each went to one of their children’s homes – in different states.
Al died a few months ago. My son and his wife debated the wisdom of telling their mom the news. She understood and wept. The next morning. When one of them mentioned Al’s name, she said, “who’s Al.”
Not much of a tradeoff – losing all your memories to be spared grief – but, maybe one small blessing?

Among my most cherished memories are the times Dad would be “conducting” Offenbach or whistling to Glenn Miller: usually on rare Sundays off, and always with the volume turned up to eleven! Drove my mom crazy, and I relished every moment – especially when he would twirl me around the living room.
After Mom passed, Dad lived in a small home in the retirement community about 20 miles away, too stubborn to come live with us. I visited every day.
One very cold morning, I could hear him singing to his doggo, Bosco and kitty, Kitty Cat as I walked up his sidewalk.
Unfortunately, directly next to me was a veritable river flowing out of his garage and into the street! A pipe had frozen and burst. I found the water shutoff valve and then let myself in (way too loud in there for him to hear a knock!) and there he was, blissfully unaware, cooking breakfast (for the cat and dog too, of course) and conducting Bolero!
At the time, he was 88y/o and dying of cancer – but totally immersed in his music. Dad had gone to the school of hard knocks, but the music always transformed him – well that and a “cold one” or two!
Sure miss him. ❤️

Geisha is over weight. We have cut her intake over the last 6 months and it’s working. Also started giving her Cosequin over a year ago and kept up with it. Those two actions have brought our old girl back to us. She can jump up on the couch or my easy chair now, when she could not before. That Cosequin works!
I’ll have to pass this Cosequin onto my daughter,mother of our Mags who is overweight and whom we granddog sit often. Thank you for that!!.😘

Our Angel dog would carry a raw egg around and give it to you. That was until she dropped one and it broke. Our mistake was we left her eat the broken one, after that the all “dropped and broke.” We stopped letting her carry any eggs! She would bring me a can of soda without puncturing it. She was a great dog.

-The four bodies of hostages returned. There is now the process of identifying them.
Israel delayed the release of some 600 at the last exchange because of the humiliating ceremonies. Israel is now releasing 640 terrorists including 151 with blood on their hands and 71 with life sentences. 97 will be deported abroad. Around 370 will be released at Gaza.
Note: I hope that this time there is a serious assassination policy about them. Last week one who was released to East Jerusalem a week before and was sentenced to life was found dead, fell off a building. It is called “suicide” but it makes no sense.
-Trump on Hamas and the hostage deals:
“Very disappointed to see four bodies coming back today. Young people, young people don’t just die. They think they’re doing us a favor by sending us bodies. Israel needs to make a decision, Bibi needs to make a decision. We’ve had a lot of hostages but it’s really terrible what happened.”

-57 Israeli children were murdered in this war. I mean targeted intentionally and personally, not collateral casualties. Five murdered were ages 0-3 Old. Six murdered were 4-8 years old. Seventeen were 9-12 old. Twenty Nine were 13-18.
-The IAEA has now exposed that Iran possesses 275 kg of 60% uranium-235. If further enriched to 90%, this could provide enough uranium for up to six nuclear bombs. Iran has over 10,000 centrifuges. The first ~40 kg batch needed for a bomb could be ready in 22 days. The Israeli Foreign Minster referred to it. They could potentially have nukes in weeks.
Note: Only people in the Mossad would know the real time factor. But if the number above is correct then Israel will have to act. Since the Nantaz and Fordow Nuclear sites are about 262 feet underground an Israeli attack will require hundreds of jets attacking as you need some 80-100 bombs all on the same spot to penetrate. The US with the B – 2 bombers can carry the GBU-57 bombs that are around 12 tone and two are enough on each target.
But from knowing Trump, he is not likely to do it without trying to resolve it with diplomacy.
Israel may not be able to wait. I can only pray that we have some surprises in our pockets.

-Saudi Arabia and UAE demand Hamas disengagement to provide money to rebuild Gaza.
Qatar and Egypt oppose. Note: Egypt has been building massive force close to our borders (against the terms of the peace treaty), They are complicit in arming Hamas through their border with Gaza.
-Israel expanded its grip in Syria. Another village was taken. Securing the border.
-Israel voted against Ukraine at the UN. A symbolic vote they proposed to state their territorial completeness. Only the US, Israel, Hungary and a few voted this way.
This is Bibi responding to Trump. Ukraine voted against Israel some 90 times in recent years so we don’t feel obliged.
-Phase one is over. We now have 59 hostages remained behind. Of them we believe that some 35 are dead. This leaves about 24 living soldiers behind. The soldiers were left to the end. God help those soldiers. Israel is trying to stretch Phase One and get some more hostages out.

Thank you. Bibi is forced to attend court some 3 hours a day 2-3 times per week. This interrupts his work but they don’t care. Yesterday he yelled at court that they are “not delivering Justice”.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Verse 18. – Pride goeth before destruction. A maxim continually enforced (see Proverbs 11:2; Proverbs 17:19; Proverbs 18:1). Here is the contrast to the blessing on humility promised (Proverbs 15:33). A haughty spirit – a lifting up of spirit – goeth before a fall (comp Daniel 4:2, etc). Thus, according to Herodotus (7:10), Artabanus warned the arrogant Xerxes, “Seest thou how God strikes with the thunder animals which overtop others, and suffers them not to vaunt themselves, but the small irritate him not? And seest thou how he hurls his bolts always against the mightiest buildings and the loftiest trees? For God is wont to cut short whatever is too highly exalted” (comp. Horace, ‘Carm.,’ 2:10.9, etc.). Says the Latin adage, “Qui petit alta nimis, retro lapsus ponitur imis.” Caesar, ‘Bell. Gall.,’ 1:14, “Consuesse Deos immortales, quo gravius homines ex commutatione rerum doleant, quos pro sceiere eorum ulcisci velint, his secundiores interdum re, et diuturuiorem impunitatem concedere.” The Chinese say, “Who flies not high falls not low;” and, “A great tree attracts the wind.” The Basque proverb remarks, “Pride sought flight in heaven, fell to hell.” And an Eastern one, “What is extended will tear; what is long will break” (Lane).

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
