We should never count NON citizens in the census (it affects the House of representative numbers and also the Electoral college votes) and people who become US citizens should NOT be able to collect any welfare benefits or SS benefits or be eligible for any free medical care for 10 years.
All non-citizens counted in the census are supposed to be excluded from the numbers used to determine Congressional apportionment.

The practical approach to efficient use of assets, such as this approach to using the USPS to actually provide several additional necessary services to every US household at very little additional cost is pure music to my ears.
I see many negative comments, but zero ideas about how to get rid of the deficit and grow the economy. Give these people a chance. The national debt is incomprehensible 36 trillion dollars.
Just to add some perspective to our collective concern: One trillion seconds ago, the year was 29,685BC. 36,000,000,000,000 seconds ago, the year was 1,138,743BC.
It is comprehensible. Imagine since Eisenhower’s military industrial complex warning in 1961, they stole $500B per year. That is like 2 Ukraine wars per year, or 1 fake moon landing per year.

I’m surprised by all the negative comments about the Gold Card idea, one guy saying, ‘America is not for sale!’
To that I say, we have 20 million unvetted, illegal aliens in America. If each one of them brought 5 million bucks with them that would be 100 trillion dollars! Instead, they’re bringing us crime, drugs, disease and spiraling welfare costs!

A few years back the USPS took out a patent on Blockchain technology. Does anyone understand Blockchain well enough to surmise/explain how this technology will be/is being used by the USPS?
This feels like a fast pass at Disney. As long as you pay you get a special citizenship. Real citizens, get someone who doesn’t necessarily want what is best for the country. Look at this from the perspective of the person spending the money;
Why should I part with millions of dollars just so I can reside in the US? What can I expect in return from my “investment” as compared to someone who does not pay this extreme entry fee? I would expect that all that money should buy me some special privileges not available to others. Will these privileges exceed that which is commonly available to the citizen born to this country? What about the citizen who came to this country legally? What about all the current green card holders. What do they get if they upgrade to a gold card?
It’s long accepted in this world that you don’t get something for nothing. This is where green/gold card vs citizenship comes into play. People who shell out big dollars to get into this country are going to expect something in return for that additional money spent. So looking into the future, what kind of “something” will evolve in this program once the politicians have had a few years to bastardize the original intent of the program?

Maybe this guy is smart but the reason they put the P.O. in with commerce is so P.O. workers could do the census??? In all my life, since I was young we’ve never had a postman deliver mail to my house. The postman didn’t know who we were are and doesn’t know anything about my family. I don’t know, maybe on the East Coast they deliver mail to people individually and know everyone they deliver mail to but this seems like a really whacky idea to me. I can’t even imagine my rural route carrier having to go through all the subdivisions he serves and doing the census. I’m pretty sure they’ll have to pay him more money to do it. I don’t see this working out very well. And, if that’s the only reason they switched it I am seriously concerned.
Money is only one facet of the equation to make America Great Again. We’ve been living with debt for a long time. You have to ask yourself what is it that has really trashed our country. Is it the debt or something else. Debt is only part of it and probably a small part. It’s like throwing money at woke schools to try and improve outcomes i.e. making smart people. It doesn’t work. We can all be wealthy and still heading down the road to ruin.
