During a segment on Sean Hannity television program, DHS Secretary Kirsti Noem was asked for an update on her investigations into leaks of border patrol and ICE raids. Secretary Noem had previously said she would exhaust all available resources to “hunt down” those who leak to the media and put the lives of DHS personnel at risk.
Within the update, Noem outlines how she has located several leakers and is using polygraph machines to ferret out those within her silo operation who are trying to undermine her objective. WATCH:

These machines are all about the person operating them. The interviewer/operator can get whatever result they want depending on the framing of the questions and the questions themselves. Need reliable operators or don’t bother.
True. I know of two who lied and beat the test and one who looked as if he were lying no matter what he said. In the latter case the polygrapher asked him if he had broken into the acme warehouse and when he said “No” ‘deception was indicated’ meaning he lied. But there was no acme warehouse or breakin. It was a trick question.
And I have read that The Green River killer passed a polygraph test long before he was finally caught.
I saw that many years ago when a friend and I who were working at a job site as security guards while in college were brought in for polygraphs after theft at the site. They went heavy on the other guy for days, I think because he had a cold and they thought it was signs of drug use (he never used or even drank). He told me how they kept rephrasing questions over and over again trying to get a result. A construction worker was later charged. I saw a clear bias with the way my questions were asked.
Soo, high level or special access security clearances require you to take the test. I have friend, a software engineer, that just could not pass the test. He had to be reassigned from that program because he could not get the required clearance. He would get too nervous or something. Probably one of the most honest, a man of integrity that I know.
When he told me about it,
Question: Have you ever stole anything?
Friend: Thinking: Maybe I stole that pencil in elementary school. Answer: No.

Hannity asked K. Noem if the leaking was a crime. She nodded in affirmative and then said they will prosecute if they are breaking the law. So, was there be some wiggle room in her response?
If there’s a law on the books for leaking a planned enforcement action, would be something to look into.

Polygraph tests are not fully reliable. I would hope that Kristi’s team has additional means to verify the polygraph data.
Exactly. I’ve taken many polygraph tests in my lifetime due to Jobs and Gov’t. The only one I failed was the only one I told the complete truth on which was my first polygraph. I assume the failure was due to nerves as I failed the question “Have you ever stolen anything from a place where I was employed.” I had not ever done so, but the polygraph sure thought I had.
From failing the first one when I was truthful, I gave the test a lot of thought and I figured out how to take them. I learned how to breathe, how to control my heart rate, and how to control my thoughts. After that, the rest of the polygraphs were a piece of cake as they always asked if I had failed a polygraph before and I would always lie and say I had not. Passed them all with flying colors.
I suspect the true leaker to be intelligent enough to have no problem passing those polygraph tests. Thus the reason they are not allowed in court.

“Polygraph” has become a catchall term, but nobody uses the old fashioned polygraphs in exclusion of all of the additional technology we have; vouce stress analysers, and thermal imaging, etc.
As a complete package, much more difficult to fool, although still not impossible.

A poly doesn’t have to detect a lie. It needs to sow doubt in the mind of the person being questioned. For something like this, the going in assumption is “We think you’re lying. Why would we think that?”
That puts people in their heels. You can learn a lot from people, even completely innocent ones, because they’re afraid the actions of their buddy might land them in jail.

Given there are rumors of data destruction at the FBI that tool should be brought to bear in that agency also.
Team Trump has access to NSA databases now, which I would think includes all electronic communications by Federal employees & contractors….….seems like once she narrows the list of suspects down, could obtain a warrant and nail them with the aforementioned.

According to TGP, a whistleblower has informed Kash that FBI agents are actively working to delete files on “stand-alone servers” in such a way as to make them unrecoverable…it is presumed they are files regarding JFK, possibly Epstien,…and include incriminating info.
Hence, this might be an explanation for why Bondi said “the files are on my desk, I am reviewing them, and no I haven’t seen anything yet that surprised me.”
