FBI Director Kash Patel has selected Dan Bongino to be the Deputy FBI Director. The position does not need senate confirmation.
President Trump praised the selection on his Truth Social account [SEE HERE] and it will be a selection very well received by the conservative base of support.

The Fourth Amendment has been destroyed by legislative permission, and a complete lack of accountability for violations of law. Americans are no longer “secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures,” and “reasonable cause” warrants are no longer needed.
It should not be too much to ask for an FBI Director who respects the Fourth Amendment. Alas, in the real world of the Patriot Act, pragmatically we are well aware that every sub-silo and contractor within the FBI toolbox has access to this unlimited surveillance library.
Perhaps unbeknownst to most, the people advising President Trump on IC nominations also hold a vested interest in making sure the candidates continue to allow exploitation and position for the next phase, the introduction of AI.
I prefer an FBI Director who does not support FISA-702 warrantless searches of U.S. citizen data. Unfortunately, everyone in the orbit of President Trump providing the advice and recommending the candidates, do not hold the same view. Not a single one.
Support for the American surveillance state, is the common thread that runs through every nomination and selection.

It’s easy to read and understand and clearly not being followed by the powers that have been in charge of our government. Along with an honest election system and term limits for bureaucrats it’s at the top of my bucket list, I hope to leave as a legacy for my children and grandchildren.
For now however I am ready to use the current system and technology to let our team have the same impact and opportunity that the last team had.
In eight years from now, when President Trump serves his last day….then we should change the rules and correct the 702 process to correctly align with the constitution. Let’s not hamstring our team just now we can have our indignant moment later!

I’ve been thinking about this Dan pick…apparently Dan just built a million+ $$ studio in FL for his podcasts…clearly he had other plans until he was tapped….here is my best guess…Dan is in for a short term “assignment” …something very specific and time driven..like 6 months-year type thing. He has been very adamant and focused on the assassination attempts…my guess is that is what he is there to investigate and find out for DJT….I am not saying WE the people will ever find out, but DJT will and that is good enough for me…

But last I heard about 702s from Dan, years and years ago, I remember his talking at length about how terrible they are.
Yes, I remember him talking about that also. what I’m thinking about is his role on the matter. Now Kash had his confirmation, and his view on the 702’s are on the record, same as Gabbard. With Bongino a non confirmed position can investigate the 702 process and avoid an impeachment against Kash Patel if certain things ae exposed! If so then you “follow ” the law. So, if Patel & Bongino are not viewed as a threat, which they probably aren’t is it possible that Bongino could be used to take out a few big name snakes to appease conservatives? At this point the IC might throw a few of the snakes to the wolves to maintain their operational control. An example would be; let Bongino go after Schifforbrains on that mortgage fraud deal where he claimed both a Maryland and a California property as his primary residence to get better mortgage rates? Seems like a pretty easy one to prove and keeps most of the deepest deep state out of the spotlight.
While celebrating the disruption and (at least, partial) dismantling of deep state corruption and infrastructure… we need to keep our eyes on the prize–constitutional freedom–and watching closely for what is intended to replace the old post-WW2 model.

Speculating, I can’t think that Bongino would stay long out of the private sector. Maybe he is being brought on for some specific tasks, like investigating J6? I didn’t expect his appointment. I would have thought they’d ask him to consult on specific USSS P&P.
Opposition to FISA-702 is a hard limit – a bright Red Line – to the IC, one that should not be crossed.
Makes me wonder if the IC explicitly warned Trump’s appointees not to cross this line or if his appointees sussed out this hard limit on their own.

Been listening to Bongino a long time. Based on his new studio, recent hires suspect a focused effort as outlined above. He has been very vocal about cleaning up the deep state and Fisa. He is the perfect person to evaluate Crooks, etc with his Secret Service knowledge and contacts. His comments re Trump raids are clear and consistent. Brilliant move by Patel as gives him a dependable, effective ally which allows him to expand his focus to create a real FBI.

You know I was thinking that while watching the hearings with the IC people Trump picked. Of course they had to agreed on the 702’s or none of them would’ve been confirmed. Now, the people whom actually need to be investigated are actually citizens also. So maybe that’s why they all supported the 702’s. IMO, I think President Trump also believes in some surveillance in certain cases and that is why he is not too worried about these people. I don’t think he is that blind to these people, or I can’t imagine he would be unless God is wanting him blinded to this fact.

When I was working in the payments industry certain accounts were flagged to log access and alert a team to that. Mostly celebrities, sensitive persons, and accounts with questionable activity. AML and privacy were the policies that required this.

I respectfully disagree…Bongino is a great ‘in-your-face’ pick, short-term or not. He said a few weeks back he wasn’t called for any position and was good with that as he supports PDJT’s picks, so this has been in the making outside of his knowledge…which is as it should be. His “Cutesy Time is over” sentiment is spot on – the serious adults are in the room now. He’s a no nonsense person who’s seen behind the curtain and is equipped to do what PDJT and Patel have outlined what to clean up first of this entire grafted-in criminal enterprise that has become “the federal government”.

I agree with Sundance on his premise with this. The problem I think we have though is, WHO out there could the President have chosen that we could like and agree on? I see this similarly to the fight over abortion. After decades of no meaningful controls at all, we can’t get to 100% compliance in the early days of 1 election. This will be incremental but let’s take the biggest bite at it that we can achieve.
We have to change the perspective of the voters by open discussion of what the Constitution permits & protects & transparency + prosecution of what violates the current law.
200K+ violations/year of what the unconstitutional law allows must be prosecuted while concurrent, class action lawsuits against the gubmint for violating the BoR begin winding their way through the courts.
I’m going to be a little more optimistic and point out that while Patel, to get through the confirmation process, had to support the current 702, Bongino made no such promise. He’s giving up a lot of future revenue from his business to take this position. So he might be a man with a mission; or, maybe he just couldn’t turn down a request from PDJT.
We will all know within 6 months to a year if this is just more kabuki theatre. If it is, my guess is Bongino quits and becomes very vocal on his podcast about the brick walls he ran into which becomes a win by exposing the corruption he witnessed first hand. If it’s not theatre then it’s a win because he will get to go after the corruption.
So I’m going to stay optimistic for now.

How can you compare an elected Republican politician who was Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and House Freedom Caucus, and a member of House Oversight and Intelligence Committees with the power to subpoena and investigate corruption in the Government, to a podcast host?

Bongino is much more than any influence from Hannity. Try his experience in SS and law enforcement. He is not afraid of digging for the truth and will now be in a position of action.
