The Biden EPA announced in December that it selected Young, Gifted & Green to receive a $20 million grant under its so-called Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Program—the largest grant allowed under the program. The EPA dished out 105 grants—including the grant to Adams’s Tennessee-based group—totaling $1.6 billion as part of the program after receiving 2,801 applications from groups nationwide, according to internal agency documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
The EPA documents also show that Adams was listed as the individual applicant for the grant, which she applied for on behalf of Young, Gifted & Green in late September. Adams personally submitted the application while serving as a member of former president Joe Biden’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council, which was housed at the EPA. She served on the council from March 2021 through the end of the Biden administration.
It remains unclear the extent to which Adams, in her role on the Environmental Justice Advisory Council, advised the EPA on its grantmaking activity or implementation of the Community Change Program. Young, Gifted & Green did not respond to requests for comment.
But the revelation adds further weight to questions about the Biden administration’s process for doling out grants and whether the administration played favorites when it came to such programs. Federal officials are generally expected to avoid even the appearance of impropriety when carrying out their duties.”

I saw a story on our local Next Door about a neighbor who was upset about a couple bringing in their dog into a restaurant; the couple sat there at their table, eating nonchalantly, with the dog lounging at their feet under the table. The dog seemed to not be a service dog (the people did not seem disabled in any way and the dog was not wearing anything that would identify him as a service dog – some true service dogs have a little blue halter their owners put on – of course, the halter could be bogus or borrowed from some other owner). The gist of the conversation was that restaurant owners and store owners are not allowed to ask people if their critter is a service animal.
I bring this up because it seems to me the way is clear – do not patronize restaurants where they allow dogs and other critters in where people are eating. It’s a hassle to run into this in a grocery store because you are in the midst of a quick shopping trip and there is someone with their stupid, nervous and undisciplined fur baby, peeing on the floor – for some elderly person to slip on it, for the germs to be spread about. Anyway, the Health Department seems to be very negligent in not fining restaurants and stores for allowing animals in that are not absolutely service animals.
There are so many things not right, like the Health Departments letting things slide and the Fourth Estate apparently getting their pay from elsewhere rather than the readers and subscribers.
Finding out that USAID sent massive amounts of money to news organizations who should be shunning such payments was quite an eye-opener.
The allowing of “service animals” that are just critters into places where food is being served and the managers are all Caspar Milquetoasts, nervous as hell about kicking them out, not letting them dine or shop in the place – it is disruptive and disrespectful to other people – good grief, do you think there was an NGO formed to file lawsuits against restaurants and stores where the managers questioned the “service animal” status?

I think Jane Fonda really believed that she put one over on us back in the 1980’s with her aerobic videos – like she was a different person, forget about her having visited Hanoi during the Vietnam War and climbing onto machinery to gleefully seem to shoot down American pilots – and when visiting the infamous Hanoi Hilton, when American prisoners there in an effort to get word to their loved ones at home, smuggled bits of paper to her, she turned around and handed over all that to the prison officials!
I was in high school in 1969 when a lady in our town set up her little card table every weekday afternoon in front of the Post Office . . . she was a one-woman campaign to tell the world about Jane Fonda . . . she would hand out fliers to patrons of the Post Office as well as handing fliers to high school students walking past the Post Office on the way home. She wanted everyone to know about Jane Fonda.
I always stopped to say hi, to say no thank you, I have a flier – I would ask how things were going and say “keep up the good work” – in a way, I felt like a very much anciently older person attempting to encourage this dear lady – she was so persistent. Sometimes if I was walking with someone and they saw her up ahead, they would peel away and say, “catch ya later” – they did not want to be seen talking to her by the anti-war contingent, I thought.
So the 80’s rolled around and Jane Fonda was everywhere it seemed, doing her aerobics thing . . . and let me tell you, I was one for every gadget and program – chest builder-upper-squeezer thing that you could do while watching tv . . . I bought that thing that you attached to the doorknob and then you would lay on the floor with all these pulleys; that one had a photo in the instruction booklet of a very young Arnold Schwarzenegger cavorting on the beach – it was okay if you lived alone but it was hazardous if anyone else was in the house and they opened the door. I belonged to a woman’s gym and went to aerobics class about three nights a week and on Saturdays. Darn though even if I was promised instantaneous results from Jane Fonda, no way would I ever buy her videos!

We are calling on DOGE to bring that same scrutiny to election records. Voter rolls are a mess—our own research has found over 25 million ineligible registrations nationwide. Now, with DOGE’s access to federal databases, coupled with our aggregation of state voter rolls, already crosswalked and normalized (code posted on GitHub), we have a real chance to expose and correct these inaccuracies once and for all.
