As we walk in the deep weeds of how the Russia/Ukraine conflict and negotiated peace agreement (likely ceasefire) is unfolding, each granular step is worth reviewing.
President Trump’s envoy retired U.S. Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg and Ukraine President Zelenskyy had a meeting today. At the conclusion of the meeting a planned press conference and media availability was cancelled.
[…] The format of the press event, which was to include comments to the media by Zelenskyy and retired U.S. Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, was changed at the last minute so that the two did not deliver statements or field questions from journalists. The change was requested by the U.S. side, Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhii Nikiforov said. (link)
It appears that President Trump’s forceful, direct and brutally honest remarks about Zelenskyy caught many people off-guard.
President Zelenskyy’s announcement in Turkey where he changed plans and cancelled his trip to Saudi Arabia, aligns with this ongoing dynamic. In the pretending version, Zelenskyy justified his change in plan because he felt slighted by a non-invitation to participate in the talks between the Russian team and U.S. team.
However, in the non-pretending review, we all know Zelenskyy cannot make an independent decision. In the background of Zelenskyy’s decision making there are just too many interests.
Zelenskyy’s comments from Turkey were exceptionally obtuse. The meeting between Secretary of State Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov was about organizing the communication channels for further discussion. There was no reason for Zelenskyy to be in the room as Russia and the USA talked about how to structure their contacts. Zelenskyy’s reasoning for cancelling his trip to Saudi Arabia was nonsense.
Following Zelenskyy’s remarks from Turkey, President Trump dropped the “dictator” hammer that captured all the headlines. President Trump was in full non-pretending mode during all of his comments, including Trump’s repeated point about initiating a ceasefire and Ukraine needing to organize elections. The latter point is extremely troubling for the IC elements who control Zelenskyy for obvious reasons.
Without doubt, President Trump caught everyone off-guard with the forcefulness of his remarks. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is now in the non-pretending crosshairs. This is the dynamic to watch most, because the principals (Putin and Trump) are both well known for their brutal honesty.
I doubt Kellogg knew President Trump was going to hit Zelenskyy with such a direct confrontation. Heck, I doubt anyone knew how forceful President Trump was going to be. As a consequence, any press availability today -less than 24 hours since President Trump’s remarks- was going to be filled with questions to Zelenskyy about them, as well as questions to Kellogg. Cancelling the presser was a smart move.
President Trump is being President Trump, navigating a complicated dynamic in search of an optimal solution; and as he is prone to do, his attributions and explanations for his opinion’s cuts through the Gordian knot of diplomatic pretending.
In the background, the elements who support, control and utilize Zelenskyy for their own goals and objectives, were likely also caught off-guard. How could they not be?
The principals (Trump and Putin) are talking, and soon they will likely meet.
Everything between now and then is structural filler.

When will enough be enough? Starmer wants to send UK troops to Ukraine if the US backs him. Trump will do no such thing, he knows he won’t. Why even bother? And Macron said he “won’t send troops tomorrow” but is still considering it. It’s like no one knows what they’re doing anymore (except Trump).
And we launched a dummy Minuteman missile in a show of competency. I’m nervous, but Trump did it for a reason. The handlers will have their war whether Ukraine or Russia initiate or not, and Trump hopefully is sending them a message.
The War was started (on purpose) over putting NATO troops in Ukraine.
Solution: “Let’s end the War by putting NATO troops in Ukraine!”
You mad, bro?
The entire British Army numbers about 88,000 men and at least 30% of these are support troops. In reality the British Army doesn’t even exist on paper. In addition, I have no idea why Starmer or any British Official would subject British soldiers to ambush by Ukrainian military zealots masquerading as Russian in order to draw NATO into a reignited conflict fueled by false flag tactics which everyone knows will be rampant! Hell, the Ukrainians were murdering Polish mercenaries who were planning to leave Ukraine!
Well Hitler did a false flag to justify his attack on Ukraine, so maybe Starmer is following the Nazi playbook.
Look up The Gleiwitz incident
Gleiwitz incident was a false flag operation (part of a larger operation) use by Germany to justify invading Poland.
https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident
The Germans needed no incidents to invade Poland. The bigger picture was the non-aggression pact signed with the Soviets to keep them off the Germans backs while they did it. No difference than the invasion of the Sudatenland.
Could be. The Nazi’s wanted a corridor to attack Russia and Russians will do anything to prevent something like that in the future.
Can you please send the link for that info as I would be interested to read about those actions.
Troops on the move from barracks deep in Hertfordshire or Somerset, laden with all of their battle gear and tracked equipment, issued ammunition for “self-defense”, can sometimes take a wrong turn off the M25 heading to their embarkation ports in the East and South of England.
Those same infantry, armor, artillery, and support units could simply stop by the Admiralty in Whitehall and ask for directions. It’s in central London; they can find HQ right next to other known buildings. They might even leave someday, with a new and better Britain sitting as representatives in a newly cleansed Parliament, holding their own City of London and Deep State criminals to account…
Anyone seen any of the SAS regiments tonight? I could have sworn they were still at Stirling Lines this morning…
Well , one of three things are going on with regards to Starmer :
1 – he is an idiot
2 – he is truly evil
Or
3 – somebody is pulling his strings. ( interestingly enough who might that be ? )
Can I chose door numbers 1, 2, and 3?
The banks.
Starmer seems to be virtue signaling about sending UK troops when I don’t think he’ll do any such thing.
Yes Prime Minister, The Papers.
The British army is smaller today than any time since before the Napoleonic wars. They had to struggle to get enough troops for a NATO exercise ongoing in Romania.
France got kicked out of their former colonial possessions in Africa a few years ago by local thugs.
Germany had to deploy a tank battalion without any tanks last year because they didn’t have enough that were operational.
Starmer is writing checks (cheques) he can’t cash.
The EU and NATO are a Paper Tiger!
The British do not have enough troops to send in order to make any real difference, certainly not anywhere near the 25k that Starmer has suggested. In all reality, they might be able to send 1 or 2 brigades and that‘s it. The real issue here is the suggestion of raising an EU army which would compete with NATO.
It is hard to see the value in any of this for the Europeans, be it in the short or long run. To put it bluntly, the bellicose posturing of the EU, which contributes so little to NATO in many respects, is in no position to cash any of the checks it is currently writing. It is precisely for this reason that their irrelevance has been laid bare. They can continue to talk and make promises of this and that, enjoy their fantasies of raising some ghost army and provide weapons to a rogue regime in UKR, etc. But at the end of the day they are indeed turning themselves into a belligerent party and very well run the risk of providing an easy way for the US to exit NATO should they so choose. Thus, the situation remains interesting for us outsiders who are constantly awaiting next moves.
Great comment!
MNN BREAKING…
*STUNG BY CRITICISM ABOUT EXCLUDING UKRAINE, THE ADMINISTRATION SAYS IT WILL OPEN NEGOTIATIONS WITH STATE AND CIA
Manufactured News Network: “We’re Done Pretending We’re Done Pretending!”
Are you saying Langley is admitting they exist? I thought they were just a figment of our imagination, a “conspiracy” if you will. lol
I’m saying Z is their puppet, this is their war and Satan is their master.
Isaiah 1:
Your Word, our word, King Jesus, Yes and Amen!
A non-pretending moment for me came during Obama’s first term as president when I realized that I trusted Vladimir Putin more than I trusted my own commander-in-chief!
I think President Trump has come to a similar conclusion, that he trusts Putin more than Zelenskyy, Starmer, Macron, Scholz and von der Leyen!
Which is not to say, Putin is trustworthy, (he isn’t), but at least the Russian Bear hasn’t been infected with the kind of wokeness that has ravaged the West a thousand times worse than COVID.
So we have two, tough-minded world leaders willing to look at the war for what it is, while everyone else is pretending that it isn’t!
And having a man sitting across from Trump at the negotiating table who’s not afraid to look him in the eye is enough for our President to bring peace to Ukraine and avoid World War III!
It’s a nice choice.
On the one hand, a KGB head who murders opponents with polonium and falling accidents.
On the other, a clique of perv psychos who want to murder most of everyone any way they can.
Sad but true…the murderers and sociopaths who can best pretend that they’re not murderers and sociopaths are often the ones who who rule these countries.
Then you have the one’s that can’t pretend. I think sometimes many of us find ourselves looking at the latter , during a holiday meal. lol
Yes, just as the CIA.
You’ve read the propaganda. Now, strangely it is so impossible to prove that Wikipedia doesn’t bother. Vladimir Putin was never a “head” of the KGB. He was a functionary who made it as high as Lieutenant Colonel which is not very high. His work included approvals of activities of Russians in Germany and worked to get information from German scientists….running spies. When the USSR fell, he quit the KGB and went back home to Petersburg.
All these stories about Vladimir Putin killing out people who opposed him is nothing but propaganda that started when he started to improve conditions in Russia and corral the graft and corruption of the oligarchs and the Americans who were looting Russia.
LOL, of course Putin is a killer, and those “operations” in Germany were terror operations.
Putin’s grandfather was Lenin’s, then Stalin’s personal chef…
15 years or so spent in the KGB. I’m sure he was in charge of handing out paper dolls or something.
Well Belle just posted what I was going to post, the USAID bought a lot of news out lets, so they will parrot the correct lies. So that people like you will fall for them.
Even if I take your statement at face value,
I doubt that his body count is anywhere near that of the clintons.
Or Obama or Biden, who promoted infanticide throughout the globe.
Chef? Wow. That’s heavy. /s
Truth.
Do you have evidence that Putin was responsible for those murders? Is it possible that they were part of the ongoing propaganda ploy to keep us and Europe in the mindset the Putin is a monster? Alex Mercouris has looked into at least some of them and found such evidence lacking.
How well I remember the CIA-generated weapons of mass destruction, the supposed 727 fuselage that the Saddam used for terrorist drills, and the videos of Iraqi citizens asking us to intervene.
Always, always put information to the test, considering what comports with the broader reality, which has to include the blob’s preoccupation with getting us ginned up for war against Russia, China, and Iran.
I wouldn’t put it past the communists in Russia and the US to wage information warfare in order to denigrate Putin. These communists have been big sad since the fall of USSR and are still out there doing what communists do.
Two of the most powerful leaders in the world want peace, but pissant Zelensky wants what? Keep fighting so the money keeps flowing into his and other’s off shore accounts.
No one needs to die for his Napoleonic ego.
Most wars are about young men needlessly dying to make old men and the toadies who do their bidding richer.
Whether Putin is trustworthy, or not, I cannot say.
What I can say is that he has demonstrated incredible restraint and patience in
the face of incredible confrontation.
I’m convinced that ‘we’ wouldn’t have.
Trust but verify, he has certainly earned that much.
I personally would have preffered living in Russia under Putin as opposed to living in the US the last 4 years during the so called Biden administration.
I knew the real President Trump was in there, regarding this Ukraine war. LOL. He’s not hedging his words now, Zelensky just proves more how he is nothing but a little, spoiled, whiny punk. He’s throwing fits without his pacifier. He has no gravitas, he’s a mere puppet for the war pigs who hate everything Putin.
Kellogg might be unknowingly holding the endowed Bolton Chair of Trumpian Tools and Useful Idiots.
How do you mean?

If President Trump offered to have America step aside and thereby allow Putin to take over Europe, what do you think Putin would do? My guess is that he would say nyet, nyet, a thousand times nyet! Europe is now so deindustrialized, and so overrun with the very cultural divides that Russia shed when it threw off the Stans, that its strategic and economic value is negligible.
What Washington, London, Paris, Berlin and Brussels have really accomplished since 1990 is forging an alliance that is economic as well as strategic between Russia and China. Keeping in mind Sundance’s sage observation that North Korea dances to China’s tune, what are the odds that North Korean troops are fighting alongside Russian units because China gave the North the green light?
Moscow has long worried about its eastern flank. By late 1965, the Soviets had as many divisions stationed along the Sino-Soviet border as they did in the European theater. It is very much in America’s self-interest to rekindle that level of distrust between these two unnatural partners.
It will not be enough to end the conflict in Ukraine. We need to bring Russia back into the western orbit. Lifting the sanctions, and inviting the Russians to return to SWIFT, are the kinds of tangible steps that we need to pursue.
Brutally put: Europe no longer matters. The western Pacific is the whole ball of wax. The Chinese are positioning themselves to isolate and neutralize Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. This would cause our influence in SE Asia to wane, which in turn would isolate India. Hopefully, PM Modi and the President are on the same page here. If China can get a serious foothold in the Indian marketplace for its products, America will lose an important piece of leverage over Chinese behavior. Trillions are indeed at stake.
Brutally put-utter nonsense.
Brutally put, Europe hasn’t mattered for a long, long time.
If the European people want to survive, they better rise up against their ‘governments’ and
Eliminate the EU.
That, I am willing to help them with.
I have had this exact thought myself.
What would happen if Trump and Putin signed an economic and security agreement where Russia joins NATO and agrees never to attack a NATO country as long as Russia’s border states never join NATO? Could NATO be against that?
If NATO blocks that you have to ask what is NATO for? If NATO doesn’t go for it then the US withdraws from NATO and it then is dead. If that happens then Russia and US bring in Russia’s border countries to the agreement giving them protection from ex NATo countries. What a turn of events eh?
Everyone is going to expect the US to shoulder the burden to rebuild Ukraine, and probably Gaza. We get stripped of the industrial base that won WWII and supplied the rebuild of Europe and Japan. To rebuild Ukraine will put us in debt of more than 200% of GDP, while Europe does nothing, as usual.
Why should we be expected to rebuild Ukraine?
You can bet your bottom Zelensky will try to stop peace if we don’t. He has already said it. He is in way over his head on this one.
Screw Ukraine. Russia blew it up. Let Russia pay to rebuild it. Same with Gaza. Israel blew it up. Let Israel pay to bebuild it. Not one American taxpayer cent should go toward either endeavor.
Russia has been fighting a war and has worked very hard to leave civilian homes and civilian building, schools, churches alone. Ukraine doesn’t care and as it has retreated, they very often blow up everything they can.
The part of Ukraine that has the most damage is the eastern part which is Russia. Russia will rebuild it just like they are re-building Mariupol. The western part of Ukraine will be rebuilt by the corporations who have bought up the companies, the land, and everything they can get their hands on……….Zelensky has sold off his country. Of course, those companies are counting on US tax dollars to be spent freely…..
Why bother rebuilding Ukraine at all? Much of the population has fled elsewhere or is already dead.
Leave the battlegrounds fallow as a monument to globalist greed and stupidity. The area around Chernobyl was already a depopulated “exclusion zone.” Expand that to include the rest of the front-lines. Make it a big DMZ.
The administration has, in the last few days, already mentioned (by one of the travelling diplomacy mandarins) that they would view as part of a settlement Russia contributing to rebuilding Ukraine’s infrastructure.

We really have no need of Europe. They are behind on NATO payments, belittle our President and make horrible decisions collectively in Brussels. The EU is not our problem.
Agree , they had best get their collective stuff together and clean their house before the cease to exist .
You are right! But the main reason is that we no longer share the same values. They are afraid of offending the invaders and have abandoned their own citizens. Germany, Britain and France and maybe even Ireland need to resist and take their countries back. It will not be easy. It almost happened here except that we have Trump.
PDJT oughta say what he knows loud and clear: Putin wants war with NOBODY. 5EYES intel are the ones pushing the Putin-wants-war b.s. PDJT could say that he and Mr. Putin have declared war on psychopathic 5EYES. Really light’em up.
“Putin wants war with NOBODY”
Sure. That’s why they are in the Ukraine, wanting war with nobody.
Trump knows the truth and will get an end to the war, but it’s not because the russians don’t want a war. If they didn’t want a war they could have not started a war.
You are ignorant of the facts Barry. They are defending themselves the same way we did in 1962 when Russia under Communism moved missiles to Cuba. We responded. Russia is responding to Bio labs installed by our own CIA. Some of these labs were within a few miles of their border. They were being threatened with drones carrying bacterial weapons into their country. They reported extensively with much evidence to the UN but were silenced by veto in the Security Council. You need to do much more research before making comments. It is out there if you care to spend the time.
Speaking of brutal honesty.
I want to know what was meant by ’13/14 betrayal statement.
Yup, I didn’t think so!
The MSM has got a serious case of the forgetme’s.
Stupid pail carriers.
For once even they have to be careful. You know being innocent and all.
Would love to clear the air, but if my supposition is spot on, I am kind of like step back’ish.

Perpetual war since WW2…Korea, Vietnam, Iraq1, Afghanistan, Iraq2. Almost before the planes landed aftet Afghanistan, Ukraine was keyed up (joining NATO). Now as Trump is winding down Ulraine, the MI complex is beating the drums for war with China. When your fortune is made selling a commodity, you have to be sure you have the commodity. War is the MI complex commodity
Zelensky must now recognize one very simple thing: “he is no longer relevant, and will never be so again.”
“Only time will tell” what the Ukranian people ultimately do to this comedian. The Italians were “very unkind” to Benito Mussolini “el Duce …” and his concubine. 💀
Time for Olenka Z. to take the 2 kids and move to that nice mansion in London, that the Royal family provided.
Zelenskyy can join them later.
Zelensky is just bloviating, acting the fool. Let him keep fighting, suit up Miss Lyndsey let him in the trenches with you, he’d like that for sure.
He’ll soon find out Trump is not Biden.
Why would anyone put their country in the middle of our overseas military bases??? That’s asking for trouble!
Ha! Excellent.
Beautiful!
Hurrah President Trump & President Putin!!!
Get it done!!
Trump stopped sending weapons to Ukraine. The war will end soon.
The sooner the better. President Trump should Tweet…Who wants to be the last Ukrainian soldier to die fighting Russia?

Kellogg is a rabid neocon, so don’t exclude him being part of this cancellation. The Boss can play this with or without either or both, so no big deal.
What do we know about Kellog? So far, everyone on Trumps team is praising and backing him.
Well, they’re praising Rubio, too, and that’s a Uniparty 99-0 guy, so…
Both have a very short leash.
What’s not to like about what Rubio’s done? His conversion seems very sincere.

Unbelievable. Her poor husband.
Kellogg told Zelenskyy to pack his bags and the promises made by his “Amongst Friends” L Gram and Company to keep the money and power pipeline flowing was never going to happen. It was a short conversation.
My thought on Trumps comments about Zelensky Putin and Trump will be negotiating a peace plan. Putin is negotiating from a position of strength. He holds almost all the cards. Ukraine is negotiating from a position of weakness. (Trump is negotiating for Ukraine because the only cards they hold is from the US) By denegrating Zelensky, Trump is positioning as an ally of Russia. Russia would be more likely to provide some concessions to an ally vs an adversary. I see a possible deal for Russia to control the border areas. No NATO for Ukraine gives them a buffer from NATO. Elections setup soon and possibly some voting the the Ukrainian people in the border regions like Donestk to see if they want to rejoin Russia or remain Ukraine. I thought I read that a lot of the people in those regions want to be back to part of Russia.
