This is disturbing and CPAC owes a public explanation as to their reason for not admitting the J6 Protestors pardoned by President Trump, who have been denied entry to the current CPAC event in progress.
Hopefully president Trump is paying attention and asks CPAC for an explanation before gracing their event.

I was discussing this with my teen last night, in context of dressing for the job you want, showing him photos of Zelensky from 2020 when he pretended to be a politician. The guy’s wife spent $40k on Christmas in Paris (and heaven knows how much since then) and he likely has more shoes than Imelda Marcos.
I have always believed, in a career, you need to dress how you want to be perceived and treated. If you consider yourself a “professional”, then by darn, dress as one. Teachers, are you reading this? I had an acquaintance, a 6th grade teacher in Wisconsin (yes, I know) several years ago whose idea of daily teaching attire was a sweat suit and colorful tennis shoes. Think she had the respect of her students?
I interviewed dozens of young, educated people and you wouldn’t believe how some came to their appointments…nor, how inflated they thought their compensation should be!
My aunt speaks fondly of her favorite college professor’s advice, given when she was a young freshman arriving in the mid-west from New Jersey: “Honey, if you are going to teach elementary kids English, you need to learn to speak it properly.” I knew her for decades before hearing her speak in her Jersey accent!
We are stuck living in deep-blue WA (job transfer), here the public school teachers are strictly DEI hires, and the curriculum is several years behind what my older son had in a different state. First semester college algebra at the local community college finished up with the quadratic equation…

I also believe that having young men wear a tie to school encourages better behavior. When I was in Catholic school, the boys wore black dress shoes, blue dress trousers, white dress shirt and a dark blue tie. There was financial help for parents who had a hard time affording the “uniform” and it also helped poor students feel equal to everyone else. It stopped the wealthy snobs from showing off. The nuns pointed out that if you wanted to stand out from the crowd and be noticed, you could get straight “A”s, or participate in school sports, clubs and theater etc.
I worked in construction and in the auto service trades for the lion’s share of my working life and grew tired of always wearing work clothes. Plus, the data used to support the articles was from IG reports of inspections done by the FIRED IG’s in July 2024 and earlier.

It would be a logistical nightmare to calculate some percentage every (still-living) taxpayer might be entitle to, thus the $5000 is a windfall for taxpayers who have paid close to nothing, and pocket change for the wealthy who have paid far more.
This kind of “it’s all about what’s good for me” thing is why the country is in the mess it’s in in the first place. See my comment on page 2.

As a veteran I have a request that you could possibly take some concerns from fellow veterans and I about the VA pushing people to give away our rights to our information we are being forced to hand over just to access the VA services.
They are forcing all veterans to provide a picture for access. I believe this is part of what you have discussed with the outfit Palantir. People do not realize what is going on in our government.
You can give your info to the government or a private company going by the name ID.me. None of our info will we be able to control.

Everyone here, and I mean EVERYONE, constantly complains about voters being able to vote without picture ID. Do you have a picture on your driver’s license? I’m a veteran and I have an ID card with my picture on it that the Erie, PA Veterans Hospital gave me years ago. Don’t you?
I feel differently about showing someone my picture ID for comparison purposes than I do about handing over my ID for them to copy all of the information contained in the magnetic strip.

Did Trump say Ukraine started the war? I was looking at the quote on a very short video where Trump said, ‘You should have never started the war.’ I don’t see Ukraine’s name in the quote. It sounded to me like it was a generalized statement that the war should have never been started. Does anyone else have some info or insight on this?
When I listen to the words he said, I do hear “you should have never started it”, but my own interpretation of that, in context, is that he was saying they should never have entered into the war when the could have made a deal.
The way he says it is almost as an afterthought.
I have a very knowledgeable, very pro-Ukraine source whose take on this latest development is “wait and see”, because he thinks that this is quite possibly just a negotiating tactic.
Could it refer to the years of bombing the two Russian Populated provinces and the willingness of Z to provoke Putin based on entry to NATO and violate a previous agreement?
