I have commented a few times that the rise in autism seems to correspond with the rise in the use of smart phones. My gut tells me that the radiation is messing with the DNA that’s being passed onto the fetus. Today I read that there was a study done in 1971 that mentions chronic illnesses attributed to radiation coming from wireless devices, with autism being one of them.

I’m 80. I have been instinctively (in ways quite unnoticeable) avoiding chronic, unnecessary wireless radiation exposure since I was about 20 years old (at the latest) when I noticed there was a lead shield thing placed over me when dental x-rays were taken.
Of course, I had the white privilege advantage of a first grade teacher by name of Miss Serene Griffin (in 1950) who taught me that 2 + 2 = 4.
Normal survival instinct has been ground out of several generations, and such an abundance of ignorance is never going to be offset by any government stepping up to protect the ignorant.
Aside from that, people need to accept that ain’t none of us gonna get out of here alive.
The lead shield protects from ionizing radiation, which in the case of x-rays is photons of a high enough energy to bounce electrons loose from atoms, which can cause unwanted chemical reactions in your body. Normal RF-type photons are way, way lower than the energy required to eject electrons from atoms. It’s the difference between staring into a 40 watt incandescent light bulb and staring into the sun. I have an electrical engineering degree, in case you are wondering if I’m just pulling stuff out of thin air.
And to add to this, the energy of a photon is directly proportional to the frequency of the electromagnetic wave. The photon is the carrier particle of electromagnetic (EM) waves, which includes radio frequencies (RF), visible light, x-rays, gamma rays, and all the stuff in between. RF photons have much lower frequency than visible light. You’ve noticed that visible light can warm you up. So can certain frequencies of RF. The difference is that for RF to warm you up, the frequency of the EM has to resonate with various atoms in your body. Microwave frequencies can be tuned to make water molecules vibrate. This vibration causes the temperature in that location to increase. Infrared light warms you up differently but it does warm you up. That’s pretty much all frequencies of EM that are from the lowest frequency EM out there all the way up the scale, and ionizing frequencies can definitely warm you up. And do damage to tissue beyond just the heating effect. If you ever encounter EM frequencies lower than that of visible light that are warming you up, you should probably move. Other than that, there is very little effect on human tissue. That’s why the studies that try to prove that, say, 5Ghz WiFi is dangerous. Like how? What is the physics behind that? They can’t really say. Just that “it’s bad”. And by “they” I mean people who don’t know physics.

OTOH, electric blankets, microwave ovens and flourescent lamp ballasts emmit strong magnetic component waves at 4 times the magnetic dipole resonant wavelength of RND/DNA, and can induce replication errors.
I have long been more concerned about the low frequency magnetic field radiation than the high frequency electric field radiation.
CRT monitor deflection coils were a likely problematic beta wave source, but have been obsoleted.
But I see these magnetic fields more likely to cause cancer than autism.
Thirty something years ago, a company tried to sell a bunch of emf absorbing, computer monitor screens, to the USC campus bookstore.
They were pretty embarrassed when I showed up with an emf meter and found no difference. Like you say, most was coming from the back and sides of the monitor. There was no difference in front, with or without their product.

It’s the vaccines. The food allergies are an extreme immune response. In the US and some other countries they used peanut proteins as adjuvants in vaccines. The rate of peanut/tree nut allergies has dropped again since they changed that. In some countries they used sesame and we got sesame allergies.
As for autism, the CDC used to have their own reports accessible online saying they knew the MMR vax increased autism especially in African American males. They just ply the denial game and make anyone who questions it a nut.

The DTAP given in Kenya knowingly contained a hormone to cause infertility/miscarriage.
My son was diagnosed in 1974 at age 3. rate was 1 in 10,000 and by the time we made it to CA and connected with the Autism Project run by Ivor Lovaas at UCLA, it was in full swing in 1978.

Term first was introduced in early 1900s as a euphemism for or replacement for “retarded” or “brain damaged” for observed maladies with similar aspects but unable clearly to be identified as either. Didn’t make its way as a diagnosis until Merck’s DSM III 1980, and has been (like most psych “diagnoses”) expanded upon since then. It has been years since I did some of my research, but I seem to recall that in the 1940’s, it was believed autism was caused by having a cold and unloving mother. IIRC, this statement was made by a leading psychiatrist of the day.
It was hard enough to deal with the day to day-trying to find treatment/therapy options but to throw this into the mix would have been devastating.

The non-pretending part is that while psychology does SOMETIMES use scientific methodology in research, mostly it is a descriptive political field that is not science. It has no testable core predictive theories or efficacious treatments, and no diagnostic interrater reliability.
Pharma has jumped into the void with frequently dangerous drugs that cure nothing but suppress this or that brain function (where they even work a little). Some of real medical fields also have this problem but it’s rampant in psychology/psychiatry. Kind of like treating a toothache with a shot of novocaine and stopping there.

Having led many root cause investigations related to product quality failures in the chemical industry, one truism that can quickly elucidate root causes is identifying where problems never occur and seeking to understand why.
If in fact the incident rate of autism among the Amish is statistically lower than other demographics, this would be a very excellent rabbit trail to follow. Not only do the Amish have lower vax innoculations rates, they also eat healthier, use cell phones less, and use less drugs to treat illnesses. So, there is a broad spectrum of lifestyle differences while at the same time reflecting a demographic that more closely aligns with societal norms of the 1970s when the U.S. population was healthier.

The only thing I can attest to is that in my whole school life, we only had one handicapped child in school. He had muscular dystrophy and was sharp as a tack.
A new study is suggesting that Iron deficiency is a factor. Children given a treatment normally given to cancer patients (to boost their red blood cells) has shown dramatic improvements for autistic children. (I read this in the Daily Mail last night, don’t have the link to hand).
This is the post hoc ergo propter hoc logical fallacy, following therefore caused by. This faulty reaoning is rampant nowadays.
The best way to stop the faulty reasoning, IMO, is to find out what causes autism, and whether it is in fact increasing.

When I was at USC, California not the Gamecocks, we were sued by the epidemiologists who wrote reference number 1 in this journal. It was the study linking childhood leukemia to the size of the wires entering a home- no actual measurements of field strength.

They sued because a regular power line passed over the roof of their office and one researcher was pregnant.
I conducted emf/elf measurements all around the office and around all the electrical appliances at home and work.
The highest electric field I measured came from my AA battery powered shaver.
They lost the case as there was no injury to the researchers or the baby. There was no way to show that injury was caused by either, on the job exposure or exposure outside of the job.
I have not kept up with recent research, and my experience is dated. EMF was a tricky situation as some early research showed something like a window effect, where negative effects were noted at a certain field strength, but none observed above or below those levels.

I still use the aluminum clipboard my boss gave me almost 40 years ago, after he got shocked carrying it by some high voltage wires at the switch yard beside the power plant.

But there are many differences between 1960 and 2025: electromagnetic waves from cell towers and wifi networks, genetically modified food, “fake” food e.g. sucralose, food packaged in plastics (how much plastic do we ingest?), pesticides on food, many more vaccines administered at a young age, highly processed “food” vs meat and potatoes, birth control pill,…
That is just a short list, and all of it is correlated with the rise in autism. Hopefully, we can isolate the real factor and take action.

Things are moving very quickly and it is hard to keep up, but thanks to Grok I now understand this panic over the “fiscal assistant secretary,” technically tagged by the presidentially appointed US Secretary of the Treasury but always from within the agency, a career person and the highest ranking person in the Treasury.
When Trump took power this time, this position was held by David Lebryk, who had no sense that his power or authority would ever been questioned because this position had never before been in play.
Then DOGE arrived the night when all the inauguration parties were taking place. The following day, Lebryk resisted allowing anyone outside the agency having access and he is resigned before being fired.
Now he is replaced with Tom Krause, a complete outsider — for the first time since probably 1946. Again, this is the holiest of holies, the outgoing payment portals to all money that the US spends (so far as we know). We are going to be treated to amazing revelations over the coming months.
I’m truly stunned by this entire show mainly because I had no idea that the main portals of government spending have not been subjected to normal standards of outside accounting verification for 80 years.

Eventually, President Trump will have to go to war with his own Party. The Republican Senate just passed a bill out of committee that (over ten years) is $342 billion larger than Joe Biden’s budget. It is clear they don’t have the stomach to actually cut government.
President Trump should veto the final reconciliation budget bill. During a government shutdown, expired programs are not authorized, nor funded. President Trump can terminate these programs. That means laying everyone off, and perhaps selling the buildings if he so chooses.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) identified 1,264 authorizations of appropriations that expired before the beginning of fiscal year 2024 and 251 authorizations that are set to expire before the end of the fiscal year. CBO also found that $516 billion in appropriations for 2024 was associated with 491 expired authorizations of appropriations. According to the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 President Trump has to spend what Congress appropriated even if the program is expired.
Of course, it will go to court, and there will be a big brouhaha, but once cut, it will take some time to get them back up and running, especially if he sells the buildings. It would be like Cortez burning his ships when he arrived in the new world.

A CR would be a major defeat for the President as NONE of his Agenda could be funded or even be a line item because they were NOT part of a past spending BILL AUTHORIZED by Congress.
An Omnibus is NOT Good … unless there is language closing down ALL the past Omnibus BILLS passed by Congress, especially removing Line Items recommended by DOGE and committing to a Regular order FY2026 Budget Process.
There has to be legislative language that at least breaks the cycle to insure if a CR is used in October .. past Omnibus BILLS cannot be referenced by any future CR’s.
As it stands now … “the big Beautiful Omnibus BILL” wanted by President Trump just pumps up the size of any future CR and keeps ALL the fraud funding mechanisms in place.
In the end DOGE would have been wasted.

Still don’t understand why a “check ride” was being performed in that super crowded airspace, at night, and wearing goggles that severely limited scope of peripheral vision.
It also sure sounds like the copter was too high at all times.
They also have a radar altimeter. There is no excuse for this. There should have been a red x in log book because of altimeters with that much deviation between pilots and copilot, these altimeters are slaved which means they work from same system. If altitude readings are that far off, air speed would have been off also. This would have caused problems in flight computer.
No reason for them to be that high when they had radar altimeters. This was pilot caused accident. It was the fault of the IP
And I don’t see why the false altimeter readings didn’t trigger the pilot(s) to reduce altitude.
I can’t remember for sure what the allowance for deviation in altimeter readings between pilots altimeters, but is possible if there was the same discrepancy in readings before taxi, that the aircraft should have been grounded.

It sounds like we routinely have junky military stuff in flight.
Let me add, that the crew may not have set their altimeter correctly from when ground control give them the info for field barometer readings and conditions on the airfield.
This would have caused a discrepancy in barometric altimeter readings from actual altitude. They have backup in these aircraft. Why they didn’t use it is the big question.
Correct…setting altimeter to properly correspond to local barometric pressure is crucial prior to take off!
Gosh, if they didn’t do that then they effed up something so basic they shouldn’t be allowed near an aircraft.

There’s a pilot who posts on YT – Capt Steeve. He’s currently an airline pilot and previously a Navy pilot. He posts frequently, telling us things we might want to know and be aware of while flying. Always interesting IMO.
He had posted a video when this happened with actual audio from the ATC & pilot of the helo. He has since been asked to take down the video and has complied.
However, when listening to the audio, the pilot of helo requested & was granted from the ATC – *visual separation*. According to Capt. S, this means helo pilot was in control at that time and not the ATC.
Have not heard this anywhere else – (for what it’s worth)!

The question of “too high” is answered in the variable conditions of the altimeter. It’s great in increments of 1000ft but not so great at increments of 100ft.
The reality is the drill ITSELF was highly inappropriate. For there to be a drill, ONE of the two pilots should not have been wearing night vision for safety. The compromised visual range is well known.
Air safety is no joke (obviously) but in the military, there is a lot of “Top Gun” attitude among them. They are young and that’s a risk but also a benefit depending on the circumstances. In war and in emergencies? Absolutely, go with the younger pilots. But for navigating dense air traffic? No room for hot dogs.

If we want election integrity, school choice with parental rights,..and MAGA, we must sieze control of State and Local Republican Parties, and the sooner the better.. this is on us, not President Trump.
I think that a lot of it will be handled at the Federal level because, right now, the Feds give the states the money for “x” and the states squander/steal the money on “y”. This allows the states to waste/steal money, then scream poverty, and raise local taxes to cover what they should have spent the money on.
Now, the Fed money will be sent with strict purse strings and probably in drips as receipts are provided to the Feds. This is going to force the states to cut the waste/theft (which they won’t initially).
It may be that the Federal government gets out of a lot of state issues and the states will be left to find the money because taxpayers will have their Fed Income Tax reduced to hardly anything. Then their state governments can try to raise taxes off of their citizens.
State governments have also been in on the Federal $$$$ grift.
But, I agree with you. I would hope that PDJT tells the states that you do not get Federal money until DOGE takes a look at your books.
