Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

Just watched a very interesting documentary, “JFK, What the Doctors saw”. In it about 5 or 6 of the Parkland emergency room doctors who were “in the room” with JFK’s body, relate what they saw and how they interpreted it. These guys were treating multiple gunshot wounds every day so they knew what they were looking at. To a man, they all agreed that he was shot from the front.

I’ve tried to find the name of the pilots of the Delta crash and apparently it is top secret.
Similar to mass shootings or killings, when they take a lot of time identifying the perpetrator or the modus operandi.

It is obvious that the plane experienced some kind of mechanical failure, involving the landing gear. The skill and training of the pilot brought it to the runway. An as-yet undetermined failure allowed it to flip over while remaining otherwise intact. It will take time for forensic engineers to figure out what happened, and then to apply the knowledge to inspection of all similar airplanes. This is already in progress, I am quite sure.

Nothing is obvious yet. The plane may have approached the landing too fast and steep. The first bounce crushing the landing gear. It’s also plausible that pilot error is involved in not keeping the nose up. Skilled and highly training pilots can make errors and mistakes. Since the authorities have not released the names of the crew or any details we can only wait and wonder. Boeing says 80% of accidents are due to pilot error. Aviation safety magazine says 90%.

It appears that the gear failed, but perhaps due to the hard touchdown. The approach was stable until the last few seconds when the decent rate was very steep. Normally the plane “flares” at the end to decend gently. The touchdown point is normally farther down the runway. The investigation needs to detremine why. Winds? Pilot error? Too soon to tell.

Former Navy pilot on Fox yesterday said the rate of descent of this aircraft was greater than the rate of descent of landing an f-18 on an aircraft carrier. And you can tell this is the case from the video, too hard of a landing that most likely compromised the landing gear. Pilot never turned the nose up to soften the landing either.
If I had to guess, NTSB will probably determine this was pilot error.

My Big Picture takeaway of the entire DOGE Operation is simply a long overdue Spring Cleaning.
The intent is to evaluate the “Systems” that are in place not the personnel.
To be sure, personnel will be impacted especially in cases of fraud and abuse. Cases of fraud and abuse should be dealt with and I’m sure they will be.
As for the review of “Systems”, so many people and agencies get so stuck in their ways, stuck in their “System” with their head down digging in the trenches that they fall to realize there’s a brand new bright, shiny backhoe right next to the trench just waiting to be used. It can do the job much more efficiently if it is simply put to use. What’s required to get the users to switch is simply “buy in” into the new “System”.
It’s a top to bottom review of the “Systems” to see if they are still necessary, are operating properly and whether or not they can be operated more efficiently.
It’s not the people who are bad. It’s the “Systems” that have become bad over time.
By bad, they may have been good and necessary at one point but have either become obsolete or unnecessary over time (or abused and weaponized like the Dept of Education and EPA). They may have become unnecessary but no one addressed the issue so they stayed in place much longer than necessary. Or they may have become obsolete, but no one addressed a long term upgrade for that “System”.
To be sure, there is “fraud and abuse” which must be dealt with first. It’s the fraud and abuse that gets everyone’s attention so the cleanup must start there. But, the “waste” is probably where the more significant and more long term gains will take place.
To be sure, personnel will be impacted but it should not be viewed negatively. This is one huge “work smarter not harder” effort. People are always reluctant to change. Change is good when change is better. The changes we are going to see over the next period of time are long, long overdue.

The subject covered ongoing negotiations prep actions vis Ukraine. Cutting to the quick, the message was everything PDJT has voiced recently vis Ukraine was arse backwards; that Russia invaded, Russia is accountable for atrocities, Russia has been the predator in Europe, Russia should pay all Ukrainian debts to the US, that the suspension of elections is an expected consequence of being invaded. These are partial truths. What got my temperature rising was that not once, ever, did the man raise the issue or Bartiromo (who I normally take seriously) question the causal factors leading into the war – specifically the NATO sideshow and the Maidan Coup.
To me, this is the first time in a while in which it is overtly obvious that someone in the front office at Fox has decided to go on the attack with a patently one-sided argument and little to no pushback from the Fox employee.

Exactly. Russia could plainly see what was about to happen, so it struck first. It began with a feint against Kiev, then focused its attention exactly where it is now. It adopted a limited strategy of attrition, and has maintained it ever since. It did this after years of attempting “good faith” negotiation with people who turned out to be “bad faith.” Eventually, the time for negotiation ends. It will finish, one way or the other, having gotten everything it set out to get. And then, they will be done.

You may not know the back story on Bill Browder. He is a liar. He is directly responsible for the Magnitsky Act passed by Congress in the US due to his lies. Look up the Magnitsky Act. There is a book about Bill Browder called Grand Deception: The Browder Hoax.
He was making billions on his hedge fund in Russia in the 1990’s. He brokered shady deals buying up Russian companies for pennies on the dollar of real value. He is a blood sucker who wanted Russia to be destroyed with him and his buddies the beneficiaries.
All pertinent info. I did look it up before posting and realized why he was motivated to frame things through his personal history of confrontations in Russia.
I was more tweaked by Maria’s not probing deeper and the background matter of who decided this guy was a responsible alternative viewpoint.
I don’t mind alternative viewpoints – they cue one in on the thought processes and angles adopted by others; who to trust who to ignore. It’s not receiving the full sweep of relevant factors/ideas that is irksome – and that is the responsibility of the media heads and corporate ownership/leadership.

An asteroid that could level a city now has a 3.1-percent chance of striking Earth in 2032, according to NASA data released Tuesday—making it the most threatening space rock ever recorded by modern forecasting.
“Naturally when you see the percentages go up, it doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy and good,” he added, but explained that as astronomers gather more data, the probability will likely edge up before rapidly dropping to zero.
Astronomers estimate its size to be between 130 and 300 feet (40–90 meters) wide, based on its brightness. Analysis of its light signatures suggests it has a fairly typical composition, rather than being a rare metal-rich asteroid.
The last time an asteroid of greater than 30 meters in size posed such a significant risk was Apophis in 2004, when it briefly had a 2.7 percent chance of striking Earth in 2029—a possibility later ruled out by additional observations.
Surpassing that threshold is “historic,” said Richard Moissl, head of the European Space Agency’s planetary defense office, which puts the risk slightly lower at 2.8 percent.
“It’s a very, very rare event,” he told AFP, but added, “This is not a crisis at this point in time. This is not the dinosaur killer. This is not the planet killer. This is at most dangerous for a city.”
If the risk rises over 10 percent, IAWN would issue a formal warning, leading to a “recommendation for all UN members who have territories in potentially threatened areas to start terrestrial preparedness,” explained Moissl.
Its potential devastation comes less from its size and more from its velocity, which could be nearly 40,000 miles per hour if it hits.
If it enters Earth’s atmosphere, the most likely scenario is an airburst, meaning it would explode midair with a force of approximately eight megatons of TNT—more than 500 times the power of the Hiroshima bomb.

These rocks are small enough to evade detection but large enough to do real damage. The Tunguska meteor in 1908 flattened 25 sq miles of Siberian forest. Imagine that happening over a populated area.
It’s not a planet killer, but can sure ruin your day.

In states that implemented complete or six-week abortion bans, the observed infant mortality rate was 6.26 per 1,000 live births compared with an expected rate of 5.93, marking a 5.60% increase (absolute increase: 0.33 per 1,000), translating to an estimated 478 excess infant deaths.
It looks like monies sent on abortion mills needs to be diverted to pre and post natal care.
