According to Senator Markwayne Mullin, the Senate is anticipated to hold a confirmation vote for U.S. Secretary of Commerce nominee Howard Lutnick later today.
Immediately following the Lutnick vote, in this executive session of the Senate, Senator Mullin anticipates the cloture vote to end debate on FBI Director Kash Patel will also follow. That would put the full senate vote for Patel’s confirmation on a timeline for final vote Thursday.

The Senate voted 48-45 to move forward with Patel’s nomination, setting up his confirmation vote in the coming days to helm the agency for a 10-year term.
I think we’re past the point where FBI Directors will serve full terms. He has a little less than 4 years to turn the FBI into something harmless or to disband it.
2 years to be exact. The Trump admin has 2 years to dismantle everything with a wrecking ball so by the time midterms come in, Dems are nonexistent and People can elect the right minded people to represent them. The mechanisms must be dismantled, TRUTH shall be revealed and accountability MUST happen. 2 years…tik tok…
Yep! After 2 years the media starts preaching that he is a lame duck POTUS. Only real fix are ARRESTS and prosecutions and they will not happen.
For him to get confirmed he has to promise no Senate politicians will be prosecuted. He will agree or told to agree like Bondi. He will make a lot of NOISE but the important things like Arrests, prosecutions , indictments will NEVER happen. That is the DEAL
Not Voting – 7
Booker (D-NJ)
Cramer (R-ND)
Hoeven (R-ND)
Hyde-Smith (R-MS)
Moran (R-KS)
Peters (D-MI)
Sullivan (R-AK)
Wait, what? Are you telling me there are 4 R’s not voting. WTFN?
Even better, five R’s.
Resistance is futile.
In God We Trust
Trust God
Fear not
I was so busy looking at the states jumping off the page, I did not see the 5th. Mitch could be the fake out. That is still appalling.
What’s up with the North Dakota rinos? Not enough or too much kickback cash in their accounts?
We get rid of them next time.
HOW unless you take them out or they die they will get reelected. I know going to vote the RINOS out of office. Been trying that for 50 years and it sure worked well !
Why not, Minot? Maybe too close to Canada? That used to be the phrase back in my Trade School days! No one ever took a job there from Penn Tech! It seemed to be “sub-Arctic, LOL.
That was our slogan in the USAF too, lol. Why not Minot? Freezins’ the reason…
Rinos? I think that word is too kind. I call them what they are – corrupt communist traitors
The Republicans who vote against Patel are essentially waving their hands overhead and yelling, “Investigate Me!”.
I hope they get their wish.
or at least “primary me.”
there you go. Time to fire them.
Every RINO Senator wants TRUMP tied up. He will expose them but not prosecute them . Still the exposure could cause trouble back home especially if VOTER FRAUD is somewhat fixed with ID requirements and signature verification.
All 5 so-called R’s should be primaried. Hyde-Smith and Sullivan in the 2026 cycle, which is the time where making it clear that we expect them to represent the voter, not the donor. Both Hyde-Smith and Sullivan are reliable denizens of the swampland.
I would have to guess one of their donors bought that not voting.
Love the phrase…”represent the voter, not the donor”
North Dakota is a swing state. Let’s make sure we keep re-electing Cramer and Hoeven. So much better than the alternatives!
If these same 5 RINOs vote no in the final vote, plus McCuckell, because you know he will vote no too, Kash won’t get in. I’m thinking these RINOs are looking to get a deal from President Trump in exchange for a yes vote. Either way they all need to be primaried next time up.
So how can he pass a floor vote with so many R defectors.
then give up your positins and go home. You’re not doing your jobs.
note sure why the count did not post:

Why would McConnell vote yes?
To get it to the floor so he can ostentatiously vote no 😎
Coming for his little china girl.
because he is in lala land like biden. lala being china.
Its a thing with him. He will always vote yes on cloture.
It’s on a straight party line.
It won’t be when it gets to a final floor vote. Cocaine Mitch will cast his irrelevant No vote in one more temper tantrum directed at President Trump.
McConnell is such a pathetic little toddler.
True that.
Mitch wants some attention from President Trump. He said just the other day that he hadn’t talked to PDJT in a long time. He doesn’t like being ignored, so keep up the good work, Mr. President.
Yep, if Mitch the bit<h could say PDJT “loved” him or “hated” him at least that would be emotionally comforting to the turtle.
But “indifference”, now that is the greatest insult to a man who once ruled the R senate!
When a democrat president is elected, it seems the republicans are just too happy to vote for anyone they want in their cabinet. When a republican is elected, democrats take their jacks and go home, along with some of the republicans. W.T.H.!
Is the senate linked blocked I posted before. I wonder why Cspan did not cover this.

Thank you for posting the names and the link, MR52.
The 3 “R’s” who did not vote were not on my radar as ones to watch for obstruction. Is there any reason to believe that any of these 3 will be absent for the confirmation vote or possibly vote “No”?
(Of course, McConnell has shown us his pattern.)
There’s 5 Rs there. 2 Ds

We’ve only just discovered they’ve been robbing the bank on a daily basis.
Until people start going to jail, nothing has changed in a permanent and forward looking manner.
They’ll just move their hideout and start robbing different banks.
patience. i would think that there will have to be investigator’s assigned, sent oversea’s to ask the recipients about their grant and how much they gave back to their democrat senator. or republican senator.
Agree in full – just pointing out that there is a lot of daylight between where we are and where we need to be.
I’m cautiously optimistic – after all the hype, 4D chess, Q crap etc, I see possibilities
…but still wouldn’t spend a hot minute watching Hannity.
You don’t need to go overseas. Fractal investigations will find enough when coupled with other AI. What DOGE is using now is child’s play compared to what is possible with AI snoopers.
You can see for yourself with either Grok or CoPilot. The more specific the request, the better the answer you get…and then you keep refining your questions. It’s incredible how much it finds on public AI if you know what you’re talking about.
Additionally, the AI can quickly read documents and break them down, including finding tidbits. Again, the summaries provided are driven by your own knowledge and how you form your prompts. I have not used Grok yet for document review; however, CoPilot does a good job, but it limits documents to 1 MB. I don’t know if Grok has a limit.
For government documents greater than 1MB, I convert them to a Word document and then remove photos, pictures, graphics, etc., to keep them within the limits. This is what WE can do.
Now, imagine what Elon has on his shelf.
No one needs to go anywhere—they can track everything here and put together a RICO case.
Let’s see them produce one African man who was circumcized with USAID money.
I want to know WHAT banks have accounts where anciently old people have purportedly been receiving their Social Security checks –
in the old days, the checks came in the mail and then you took them to the bank (or savings and loan or credit union or check cashing place) but in recent years, the SS $ has been directly deposited.
So, don’t banks have to have an audit every year – total amounts of deposits being made, for example? They printed them in the paper in the legal advertisement section annually, I thought.
Bank of America’s “leadership” was under fire in the early 1980’s for money lost in loans to various countries – employee shareholders were upset to see their retirement funds dwindling down. In the mid-1980’s they were going through all their accounts/investments to see who, what, where they might be helping the South African apartheid system and thus divesting of that. I also think they had to comb through things to see if there was any involvement in the BCCI scandal.
The effort to go through the entire bank regarding deposits connected with the government of South Africa in the anti-apartheid effort was a massive one . . . the B of A wanted to be in compliance with this effort and thus divest itself of any holdings or any connection whatsoever.
Also, in the long-range downsizing plan: They went through a major overhaul of the administration (jobs) in both the north and south divisions (California), assessing every single department and every job within, to see where there were jobs to be eliminated, to push for massive early retirement.
For example, in departments where bad loans from credit cards, auto loans, foreclosures, business loans wound up: Patton Flow charts for the process of every single job in every department were created to see where there was duplication.
Narratives in Word Perfect which correlated with the Flow Charts (each nodule or step in a flow chart had a corresponding number in the Word Perfect narratives which explained that step in the process that was flow-charted).
Forms made up in Word Perfect for all debt collectors to track the number of phone calls made each day, how much money collected on each account that was on their desk, their work schedules that week – all that data was then entered manually into spreadsheets.
Corresponding with all of this, worksheets/spreadsheets in Symphony which captured all costs expended in obtaining every dollar paid to the bank – so you could see the cost of the debt collection of every dollar – submitted every week by managers . . . you needed to drive that amount down that it cost you to collect that dollar that was “the bottom line” amount for your weekly manager’s report.
In the 1980’s, due to the massive amounts being spent and made in illegal drugs, notably cocaine, we saw the system being developed to watch for anything over $10,000 being deposited . . . so you kind of got the feeling that nothing got past them and that the federal government was working with banks to catch these drug dealers, the “Miami Vice” types.
On the side where money was going out, being expended in overhead and lost in bad loans, they were tracking everything – but what about money coming IN, sitting there in accounts for anciently old “people” STILL receiving Social Security?
Crickets.
This information will be revealed once they do the duplicate cross reference. Recall Elon told us that the social security system was ‘set up” to not check for duplicates. I will guess the duplicates were assigned to illegals as part of their payment system and to most importantly try to cover up the numbers. I don’t care what anyone said the numbers are well into the 40 to 50 millions. Why were we being told 11 million over and over for years.
Judge Chutkan denies Democrat AGs’ request, DOGE keeps federal data access, layoffs move forward. 14 AGs lose in DC court.
https://citizenwatchreport.com/judge-chutkan-denies-democrat-ags-request-doge-keeps-federal-data-access-layoffs-move-forward-14-ags-lose-in-dc-court/
HUGE!
She knows the hammer is coming for her peers.
There’s really nothing the judges can do – Trump is administering the bankruptcy of the Municipal US corporation. Audits are required. So are the layoffs; USA, Inc, has a mirrored set of bureaucrats and Trump isn’t going to pay for two sets of horse-holders.
Are we going see reborn Constitutional Republic on 03/04/25 ??????
Or two sets of books!
And you know Chutkan had to eat that one. Even she can’t hide from it; she knows if she politicized this one, she’s done. She played it safe by ruling IAW the law. I’m shocked.
The fact that she was the one to tell the AGs to pack sand says a lot.
Don’t you think Trump has gone over this entire plan and its contingencies over and over again many times throughout the past 4-years in particular. Nothing is ever fully guaranteed, but the chances for failure is minimal.
Of course, it’s why the others are panicking and have such hyperbolic reactions.
Let’s hope JD is close
Seems voting on Patel is much like having your boss saying your raise is in the works. Personally, don’t spend it until its in your hands.
Agreed, however I believe the boss this time…
HURRY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have already given the FBI too much time to destroy evidence!
