I saw a vid of an experienced airperson interviewed by a news channel (sorry, didn’t save it).
In looking @ the flight stats as plane was coming in, he said pilot was flying too slow for the conditions, as he was approaching the airport.
Not as concerned the landing, but just regarding the approach before that point.
Something was definitely going on, as there had to be two pilots on board. How do you not get the flaps down, plus all the other circumstances that played into this.
Yes, bad weather – but they should have shut down the airport if it was that dangerous of conditions.
It landed on the runway so could not possibly be anyone’s fault except the pilot or a mechanical problem.

I watched a video from another angle and you can clearly see that the pilot does not land on the two rear wheels and instead puts the nose on the ground as well. The pilot put most of the weight of the airplane on the one front wheel.
Not quite…it landed heavy on right landing gear which apparently failed.

Absolutely, not possible because they purge the rolls monthly based on death certificates. Purge by death certificates?….That means someone related to the recipient must go through a process of reporting the death to SS Adm. and provide a death certificate. It is believable that this process would not be done either for fraud reasons or just laziness.

I may be a lay person in regard to law but wouldn’t it make more sense for SCJ Roberts to order Judge Amy Bergman to respond and explain her reasoning as to how it is she reached the decision she did when she ruled in favor of Mr. Dillinger. Four top deputies in Eric Adams’ administration submitted their resignations Monday, in the latest sign of the New York City mayor’s cratering support among rank-and-file workers and the city’s elected officials.
Maria Torres-Springer, first deputy mayor; Anne Williams-Isom, deputy mayor for health and human services; Meera Joshi, deputy mayor for operations; and Chauncey Parker, deputy mayor for public safety, all notified Adams on Monday that they would step down from their posts.
“I am disappointed to see them go, but given the current challenges, I understand their decision and wish them nothing but success in the future,” Adams said in a statement announcing the resignations.

I have a relative who designed the turbines for that ship. Most of its specifications were classified for many years, and its actual flank speed was never publicly advertised. It was a faster vessel than even its crossing record indicates.
This is because its construction cost was partially subsidized by the US Government, in exchange for its rapid conversion into a very fast troop transport vessel to Europe if a hot conflict with the Soviet Union ever arose.
The fight to preserve that ship has been going on for nearly four decades now. Most of the valuable shipboard fittings have long been stripped from it.
In its day, it was the very best passenger liner that the United States had to offer, and many dignitaries and celebrities from the 1950s traveled on it.

You need 10 quarters of FICA paid into the system and proof of legal residence to qualify for SSDI, unless someone was really, really bending the rules.
