Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

As I was scanning the news of the day Maquis I saw your comment on mental illness.
It has really been laid on my heart recently to raise awareness of another aspect of insanity
perpetrated by another professional class that has caused great harm to not only the nation, but the entire world.
That harm comes from the mental health industry. I hope RFK jr has some influence on the issues,
which have gotten so out of hand. The issues are related to the evolving problems psychiatry
and psychology professions have wrought on our citizenry.
Within the last 25 to 50 years significant changes by this profession to even acknowledge, and the treatment of mental illness, has pushed these illnesses into the general population for us to deal with. This has changed to the point it has inflicted huge damage to society at large for the sake of removing the stigma of institutionalization and the misguided ideal of compassion for the sick.
What we see now is a class of citizenry which has coalesced in our general population which exhibits extreme views.
Generally these groups and individuals are loud, display extreme habits and have learned they can command attention as a result.
It is time the profession take stock of the failed course of a lack of effective treatment for these folks and make mental illness institutions great again. I recognize they may have never been great, but it is time they are.
These mentally ill people are rotten apples in the barrel and society is not immune to the spoilage ill people are inflicting on the general population.
The Commies ensured the mentally unwell only had the streets to go to for a reason.
Making our cities safe and sane again does indeed require a re-institutionalization process.
The mentally unwell also, then, started to hang out in the hospital waiting rooms.
In America, it seems that the ‘unwell’ behavior is protected free speech/s.
I still believe their right to free speech ends where my nose or body starts.
I noticed the decline in mental health care when “they” added “social workers” to the ‘counselling’ mix somewhere around 1992-ish. The psychiatrist my kids were working with was phenomenal and we were making progress…until BCBS changed the system of care. It did my family, my precious children, great and irreparable harm, that two still suffer from today.
It’s also the insurance companies and coverage for mental illnesses. It’s also the hospitals being “for profit” and having to have the insurance to cover admitted patients.
The changes all added up to hospitals and insurance companies looking for the cheapest solution. Counselors are cheaper than professional psychiatrists. It’s cheaper to give a prescription and monitor out-patients than it is to admit someone to a hospital.
And it is cheaper to ignore strange or violent behavior than it is to treat it.
Ignore would be an improvement over import, recruit and exploit.
In the UK they closed all the institutions under Thatcher, and turned them into luxury apartments as the buildings were old, and architecturally nice. They put them into the “community” where they were bullied, raped, and killed for their odd behaviors. Those with extreme mental illness, instead of being treated, were sent to prison. Once again they were beaten and raped.
People who speak badly of the genuinely mentally ill make me sick to my stomach. Years ago when I owned a store, an elderly, and severely autistic man would come in, and he also had the onset of Parkinson’s disease. He couldn’t keep still long enough to feed himself, or drink so, I did it for him. He slept on the streets, was dirty, smelled bad, hardly any teeth.
A society that cannot care for its weakest is, an evil society.

What is “genuinely mentally ill”?
Is it the person who has the onset of Parkinson’s Disease and shakes constantly? That person would not be mentally ill, but physically ill, and cannot care for themself.
Is it the person who is severely autistic? And what level of dysfunction within autism constitutes severe?
Is it old age, where many times even family members throw senior citizens out into the street, causing them to do whatever they can to live? They are not mentally ill, but may very much look that way after being thrown away by people who one time professed to love them.
My question is real and genuine.
When I was 11 my then 10 year old sister lost her hearing. Doctors said she was more deaf than people who are born deaf (2% hearing in one ear, 11% in the other). My sister was smart, my parents totally supported her, and she stayed in a hearing school through graduation getting straight As.
But there were many times in our very large high school (graduating class of over 800 students), when I would witness students I didn’t know, students who obviously did not know my sister, who would be walking along making fun of my sister as though she were retarded (what they would call her).
A few times I got mad seeing these things take place, and one time I hauled-off and slapped a guy across his head hearing his cruel jokes.
But throughout our lives together, even as adults out shopping, I’d overhear people talking about my sister saying she had a mental illness.
Mental illness?
Deaf for most of her life, taught herself to read lips, lived in a hearing world, and could speak to hearing people so they understood her and yet, others saw her as mentally ill.
I understand your feeling ill over any human who is mistreated. I think we all do, since this treehouse is full of thoughtful people.
Our society is not caring for its weakest, that is for certain. I believe part of our discussion here is to see how it happened and to hope for compassionate ways to fix the problem.
Start feeding them meat and see how their attitude changes.

The video that Zelensky posted of the “attack” has several cuts and is missing 9 seconds of film. The problem was that whoever put the video together forgot to remove the time stamps.
The timing was very suspicious, just in time for the Munich conference. It was all a provocation to encourage the US to give more money to Ukraine. Just like the fake of Bucha was the provocation designed to give Ukraine the excuse to dismiss the peace initiatives in Istanbul in 2022.

Have posted this before. It’s the employers’ da–ed fault. Working remotely, I was required to turn in by the end of the day, every darned day, a table indicating on which files I worked, what work was done, and how long it took. “Draft Motion to Compel Discovery Responses, with related Proposed Order and Supporting Declarations. 3.5 hours. File No. xxxx-xxxx.”
They didn’t have to take my word for it. The IT guys were very skilled at accessing employee computers. They could actually see the number of keystrokes. They could find each of my drafts before I finally got the documents in final form. They could tell when I logged on, when I logged off, and how long my computer may have sat idle. Frequently, my supervisor would IM all staff just to see who responded within a reasonable amount of time.
Some people got fired while working remotely because they didn’t turn in their tables each day so could not justify how the workday was spent. Never understood why all employers didn’t require this sort of documentation. And that would include the U.S. Government.
My employer had already instituted work from home programs before the lockdown, as part of a “disaster recovery” program that would ensure “business continuity” if HQ was ever hit by a hurricane, etc. We had converted to laptops, got 2factor RSA tokens, VPN, etc years before.
When we did work from home full time, my employer trusted us to get the work done, and we did. Employee morale was high, but the manager class was grumbly; they were the hardest hit, especially the supervisor/micromanager, having to adjust their styles to the new norm. There were some drawbacks, especially for new hires integrating into the corporate culture; it’s very hard to direct connect to strangers. Work wise, We blew past every metric, and did more business than ever from home, the board loves it, and things have settled into a very good stable hybrid workspace.
My sister’s company, however, hated work from home, and ordered everyone back in the office the first month lockdowns were lifted in 2022. They did not transition well into remote work, and did not have the right IT structures beforehand. So, employees couldn’t be as productive, and their supervisory styled management had a very hard time adjusting, thus “return to office” was easier to justify.
A lot of it comes down to trust. Does your management trust employees to actually do the work, to have personal responsibility? If you want the right to have a flexible work schedule, then don’t goof off, get your work done, and management will be happy to give you that privilege.

While your career required an education there are a lot of “work from home” jobs that are grunt work.
I could see some opportunities for an enterprising person to teach someone their grunt job and have them do the work for them and the pay is split (after taxes) in addition to the enterprising person working at another job.
Unfortunately, we are discovering/will be discovering that many government jobs were “no show” jobs. That is why they have to show up for work now in order to prove that there is a real person assigned to that SS number.
Regarding your last paragraph: The US Government did not need to require that sort of documentation because EVERYONE was in on the steal. If they needed the documentation then they would have faked the documentation. In the US Government, there is no auditing done, no one cares, almost everyone is stealing/skimming.
That stealing mentality is why they give away our tax dollars to every illegal that makes it over the border.
Stealing the money is the way the system was designed. It’s a feature not a flaw.
Operating within a budget is unnecessary for them.

At any given time, 24 hours a day, there are likely some sailors sleeping in berthing areas as operations are 24/7 with minimum 12 on and maximum 12 off shifts.
The carrier has excellent radar, as does its escorts who are sharing information, and in areas like this will usually put out observers with binoculars. There are standard radio frequencies used for civilian traffic, monitored by military vessels as well. The Nimitz class also has 4 screws and 2 nuke reactors – for a ship her size, she could turn much faster than one might think.

For the most part, government does not give money or housing and etc to illegals. The government deposits that money in a bank account (another banking scam) for a non-profit who disperses it in whatever manner they choose. And its stated purpose may be a complete play on words or an out and out lie.
When Elon gets finished checking out how Samatha Power got her money, he needs to check out the people with their hand in the till on non-profits and NGOs the government is dispersing money through. Trillions of dollars goes through their hands and a lot of it sticks.

More and more there are some things that only fall within the allotted range when they are 2-for-1 deals.

I use coupons that make sense, take advantage of buy one get one free when it’s something we use. We repurpose leftovers into something else, and we eat beans n taters n cornbread very often.

Has to do with them telling our children that if they look at a same sex person and think their lovely, etc., they must be gay. Its such a low bar anyone fits the description.
I remember the first spin-the-bottle party I went to as an adolescent. I was very shy and awkward (still am) and my refusal to play led the boys to taunt me as “gay”. It was traumatic and I left in tears believing what they said must be true.
Thankfully, my mother was able to calm me – explained my refusal was normal and only meant I wasn’t ready.
It sickens my core knowing the education system is now filled with groomers who prey on children – perverting their sexual development during such vulnerable times in their lives.
It’s child abuse.
Just a thought.
