Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

A multi-year investigation brought by the Justice Department and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia reveals the scope of how funds were used in one recent terrorism-related case.
It involved a Syrian national, Mahmoud Al Hafyan, who was charged with illegally diverting more than $9 million of taxpayer money through USAID to armed combatant groups, including the Al-Nusrah Front (ANF), a designated foreign terrorist organization affiliated with al-Qaida in Iraq.
According to the indictment, Al Hafyan led a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Syria, managing 160 employees.
Since Syria’s civil war began in 2011, and through 2020, U.S. taxpayers funded more than $12 billion of USAID money to Syria intended for food and medical supplies that was supposed to be administered by United Nations agencies and NGOs.
The NGO that Al Hafyan led received $122 million over a three-year period, diverting food kits meant for refugees to ANF commanders, according to the complaint. ANF, fighting to overthrow the Syrian government, was known for committing human rights atrocities, including conducting mass executions of civilians, suicide bombings and kidnappings.

It has been tossing out DEI, gender ideology, race, and sexual identity information, among other things. Thousands of pages have been affected, with some going dark and others being overhauled or revised. Some webpages went down and have already come back while others may be gone for good.
The sweeping webpage purge followed a string of executive orders on a range of issues that affected public-facing communications.
Last Friday, the US Office of Personnel Management directed all federal government agencies to review internal and external information and remove anything related to gender ideology. The guidance included taking “down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) that inculcate or promote gender ideology,” prompting many websites to briefly go dark while they were scrubbed.
The order includes the removal of references to trans and queer terminology and replacement of “gender” with “sex.” The OPM memo also impacted the listed identities on department documentation, the jobs of employees “whose position description involves inculcating or promoting gender ideology,” and shutting off email features for users to input their pronouns.

Foresee a potential conflict between Secretary Kennedy and DOGE — specifically as to DOGE reducing funding for the various organizations beneath the “umbrella” of HHS, and/or DOGE deciding to cut certain sub-departments. Given Mr. Kennedy’s extraordinary experience and knowledge, I would prefer DOGE consult with him (and yes, the President) rather than arbitrarily making cuts.
I am personally concerned with DOGE cutting the funding back on NIH. The NIH Library is a VAST (usually free) resource that anyone can access when dealing with health concerns. Some really fine research on Ivermectin, for example, not to mention cancer., or diabetes, or heart disease. Whatever the medical concern, one might find dozens (I found HUNDREDS) of articles discussing that concern.
The articles are still accessible. I just looked. But … if funding is cut for the research, we may no longer have the most up-to-date results. I would prefer to hand my doctors an article from November of 2024 than one from November of 2016. “Recent” surely gets their attention. It often gets them peeved:)

Astonishing amount government spent on giving migrants cars, homes and credit cards
The Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) doled out grants worth an eyewatering $22.6 billion from 2020 to 2024 to help migrants, according to a watchdog report.
According to findings by auditors OpenTheBooks, the HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) even handed out money to help migrants buy cars and homes.
Given the job of settling migrants, asylum seekers and refugees, the ORR increased the number of non-citizens eligible to receive funding under President Joe Biden.
In doing so, they handed out the funds to cover a wide range of benefits including housing, vehicles, small business loans, credit repair, legal aid and Medicaid.
Roughly $10 billion alone was shelled out to grant-receiving organizations just in 2023.
Some of the programs were also only available to migrants or refugees who had been in the country for a number of years, were employed or making double the poverty limit.
However, the majority of the $22.6 billion was spent on unaccompanied migrant children, with $12.4 billion being spent over five years.
OpenTheBooks CEO John Hart told The New York Post: ‘ORR is part of a troubling trend of using nonprofit groups as ideological proxies.

My problem with that is this. How old were those federal crimes? Quite some time ago, someone here said something like, “assume they have dirt on everybody”.
They had this dirt on Adams, and they chose not to go forward with it, and they stayed quiet when he ran for mayor.

After the Soviet Union fell, it was suprising how little the world really changed. It just led into Bill Clinton.
