Since the Democrats have obtained a TRO that Treasury cannot secure its payment system against unauthorized and fraudulent vouchers, and Bessent has a fiduciary to pay only VALID vouchers, were I Bessent I would halt ALL payments immediately until the TRO is lifted.

Absolutely not. Defiance of court orders would be taking the bait. The obvious strategy, which it looks like the administration is pursuing, is to let these weak court orders work their way up the ladder so that the Unitary Executive concept is supported and enshrined in law by the SCOTUS.
Stop thinking this is 8 years ago. Trump et. al. know what they’re doing. They set a trap and invited this lawfare right out of the chute so that they could get things established early.
The fact that the court ordered them to do an unlawful thing- speaks volumes.

Spot on! Last year, the Treasury illegally paid out $516 BILLION for unauthorized programs. The court is essentially saying those illegal payments must continue. That judge has set himself up for aiding and abetting crime.

Arrest the judges. They cannot create laws, and they cannot break laws. They are there to abide by the law! I sincerely hope anyone imprisoned by these judges are talking to their lawyers. Seems these judges make it up as they go along.
Judges are there for 2 things: determine the Constitutionality of the laws, and then determine whether the law is applied justly and appropriately.
These judicial activists need to be removed and disbarred. In many instances, criminal charges might be appropriate.

What is murky is that opinions can differ on what is “good behavior”. Congress would have to pass legislation that explicitly defines it. Otherwise, judges would not be able to safely utter legally sound but politically unpopular decisions.
And then, of course, there remains the problem that Congress is a giant sloth. In many cases, still faster to just appeal.

I was a Type II (and will always remain a “pre-diabetic”) and took those drugs for 10+ years while I also exercised and dieted (loosing 100 lbs) my way OFF the drugs under supervision of dietician and my family doctor. I still maintain a very active exercise program to sustain my health. One of the side effects of those drugs was HUNGER SUPPRESSION as well as messing with your metabolism …the dangerous side effects included all those described above … with a series of physiological warnings that the dangerous side effects were coming. During my time on the drug … my doctor actually monitored me closely and had me switch 2 times until we found a drug that worked properly.
Diabetics are extremely vulnerable, especially if they rely on the drugs alone to magically fix their problems. With ALL that being said, what I contend we are seeing are two things:
Doctors not recognizing or blindly ignoring the source of these wonder drugs … the side effects being experienced are NOT new.
These wonder drugs are the same as the ACTIVE ingredients of current Type II medications … people are overdosing on these drugs…by taking the wonder drug and their normal Type II medications.
It is part the fault of doctors as well as the people naively taking these drugs as the miracle cure needed to loose weight without making any other effort and reading the warning labels.

A sea change is at hand. Little noticed in the blizzard of executive orders issued by President Trump is this provision in Executive Order No. 14173 for getting federal money:
(iv) The head of each agency shall include in every contract or grant award:
(A) A term requiring the contractual counterparty or grant recipient to agree that its compliance in all respects with all applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws is material to the government’s payment decisions for purposes of section 3729(b)(4) of title 31, United States Code; and
(B) A term requiring such counterparty or recipient to certify that it does not operate any programs promoting DEI that violate any applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws.
In other words, if you want federal money, you will have to “certify” that you do not “operate any programs promoting” DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) “that violate any applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws.” And the order eases the way for enforcement through whistleblower claims.

Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(c), judges can issue injunctions “ONLY IF” the suing party posts a bond to cover potential damages if they’re wrong. But guess what? This rule is hardly used!
When I was in the White House, in Trump’s first term, I suggested this, but DOJ didn’t make it happen. Imagine if we had applied this to the travel ban – activists would think twice before blocking policies with potentially billions at stake.

USAID promised that the Global Health Supply Chain Program would almost pay for itself. The multibillion dollar investment, the largest in USAID history, was supposed to improve target countries’ ability to obtain medical supplies so much that USAID would never have to fund something like it again. Spoiler alert: That didn’t happen.
As in many cases, the government overpaid and underdelivered. In 2017, three years into the project, only 7 percent of shipments were completed on time in full. By the middle of 2019, USAID happily reported over 80 percent of shipments were on time—even though the average time had more than doubled. USAID ended up extending the contract with Chemonics, the main contractor, by two years and $2 billion.
An investigative report by the Bureau for Investigative Journalism, a British nonprofit, and Devex, a magazine that covers the international aid sector, revealed just how bad the situation was. “We had procurement analysts who were just making it up,” a former Chemonics employee told the reporters. “We had trash data, and then we had people who didn’t understand how humanitarian aid cargo worked.”
The investigation also found 41 people had been arrested and 39 more indicted for fraud related to the project. In response to questions by Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R–Iowa) about the report, USAID official Atul Gawande insisted in February 2024 that the agency was “not aware of any overbilling or corruption.” Nine months later, Chemonics paid the U.S. Department of Justice a $3.1 million settlement for fraud by one of the company’s subcontractors. Chemonics continues to deny any wrongdoing.

The DOJ under Pam Bondi can designate the US Solicitor General to petition the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) for certiorari — to expedite the resolution of this constitutional issue as to whether Mr. Trump, as chief executive, and his bona fide appointees, can carry out executive functions. The arguments against that appear to be weak.
It is the President’s duty to see that the laws are faithfully executed, meaning that the departments under him do their jobs correctly, which would give him inherent authority to audit and restructure agencies like USAID. Both judges Nichols and Engelmayer are arrogating executive and legislative functions on policy-making to themselves, triggering a separation-of-powers dispute that the SCOTUS must adjudicate promptly.
What matters most in these cases is that SCOTUS has an opportunity to put up new guardrails against the hijacking of the federal courts for the purpose of lawfare — that is, for political dirty-fighting under color-of-law. The law is slow-moving, arcane, and incomprehensible to most non-lawyer citizens and that is why the Party of Chaos has misused it so liberally.
However, as “Andy Jackson” rightly observed, the Constitution did not give “Article 3” the power of prerogative over “Article 2!” (The Courts simply “adopted” the term “unconstitutional” to themselves, as Thomas Jefferson rightly feared.)
While “Article 3” can rightly police themselves, the “separation of powers” remains. The Constitution vested all(!) of the “Executive Power” in a single, un-challengeable, individual.

The constitution also provides Congress the power to referee between the two other branches via Impeachment of either the Executive or the Judge.
Andrew Jackson also said: “Let them enforce it.” So, President Trump can ignore the court at the risk of Impeachment, but these courts also must be made to heal via the same method. Its time to run one of these Lawfare Jurists through the Impeachment wringer.
You would think Congress would have impeached …..but the usual will occur….When calls for action get too loud …they will start the process only to be shot down by 2 or 3 RINO’s. Congress has never been proactive on any matter of importance until forced. Then they either lie or bog down and slow walk the process. “System of Checks and Balances” describes why each of the 3-branches of the government shall not cross over the line to usurp powers, setting the foundations of the 3-Branches of Governing the US Federal Republic. The Powers and AUTHORITY vested in EACH Branch of Government are meant to check and balance the those of the other 2-Branches.
BOTH phrases need to be cited when discussing the powers and authority vested in each branch of the US Government.

Liberals will always try to frame a debate on a side point, while assuming the main area of contention. It’s really important not to accept their underlying premise.
Right now, this is manifesting in the scaling back of agencies. The liberals want to argue over whether agency XX such as Dept of Education does some good things, and then devolve into a line by line argument over this or that specific funded item.
This framing assumes the premise that the agency itself ought to exist. The correct framing is not whether project Y or Z is useful or helpful. The correct framing is whether or not the project, and indeed the entire agency, is fulfilling one of the core functions of federal government.
The core functions are those things that cannot or should not be performed by individual states. The basic principle is that everything should be performed at the most local level that is feasible.
This is exactly what I called for during Russiagate—Trump marching into the FBI himself and seizing the files they refused to hand over.

Israel has made sorties into Iran before and were not shot down. I would not bet against Israel being successful if they did decide to bomb the nuke facilities.
Israeli Aircraft have never entered Iranian air space on a violent mission.
When Israel attacked Iran last October. They fired missiles from far outside Iran’s air space In fear of Iran’s Modern capable Air defense.
Most of the missiles were shot down. The missiles that got through did minimal damage to Iran’s air defense. Killing a 1 AD missile crew. and damaging a couple of sites.
Because Israel failed to take out Iran’s air defense in the first wave of the attack. The second and third waves of the attack were called off.
As a military strike it was a failure.
Before that Israel’s attacks on Iran used Missiles or drones. They did not involve aircraft entering Iran’s air space.
A MOAB is so heavy that it can only be delivered buy a large slow moving aircraft that has to be almost directly over the target to deliver the weapon. Such an aircraft on a mission of destruction would never be allowed to enter Iran’s airspace.

I highly doubt we would send a B2 into Iran. The risk of loosing one or more is too great. Iran has very advanced Radar that can see stealth coming from a long way off.
