She can publicly announce this particular task force and not announce all of the lawyers that she’s assigned to prepare cases for fraud, waste, and abuse. We are conflating the people who do the work with the thieves at the top.
I was thinking, or more hoping, this was the case in many situations. They had to stay quiet and grind their teeth. We say, you should have spoken up….but would you if you had a family? Hopefully, their work done when finally free is basically the new on the job interview with Elon as their reference.
Unfortunately there is little honor in federal employment at any level.
In Treasury, for instance, the is an honest need to dispense funds. People are legitimately doing a necessary job when they do that.
Some of these people may suspect that some things aren’t right, but to blow the whistle based on suspicion of what could be a small amount of wrongdoing that your bosses consider okay, I don’t know, that seems to be too much to put on an individual.
I can also see most of them not knowing.
Starting in 2009 there was a purposeful purge of federal employees and contractors that were not syncophants.

Interesting, though, how some of the same people feeling sympathy for federal workers — who, if they really saw the corruption and had a problem with it, had plenty of freedom to quit and/or be whistleblowers, as well as time to find another job — had little sympathy for military who had no choice to just up and quit, and were force vaxxed rather than being dishonorably discharged (with life-long repercussions), or if officers, possibly court-martialed.

I wonder what is the plan for when we run out of SS numbers? The current population of the USA is 334.9 million. Then we must add everyone who has died and has been a US citizen since SS was created, that seems like it should be a number at least as big, maybe larger. The current 9 digit SSN only allows for 999,999,999 total numbers. Will they start re-using old numbers? If not, maybe start using alpha characters? Add another digit? That’s a lot of reprogramming of software and databases. Food for thought.

The upside if done correctly is that we kick the gang out and get some control over our own natural resources (everything that wasn’t hard assets is already gone)
Two downsides.
First, the ones presented in the post, particularly the centralized digital control. No in wants a CBDC, everyone wants and needs PRIVACY. Where is privacy on the block chain? There is none.
Second, I’m sorry, but funneling all the claw backs to an asset backed USD dollar ignores the harms inflicted on all the tax donkeys over age 40 who are spending the last half of their lives greatly impoverished from what should have been, and who do not have the life span and time left to bounce back to anything like being made whole.
There should be an individual element of redress. A refund of the last 10 to 20 years of federal income taxes, or some sort of in kind equivalent. A sort of new Homestead Act.
Simply moving farmland and timberland and buildings and gold deposits into a Sovereign Wealth Fund with zero individual reparations is just moving the stolen assets around. It is also contrary to both the individual (not social) justice for Americans and the American value of individual initiative and a private market.
Very interesting ideas. I do believe that the debt will have to be wiped out this way.
I know a refund of 20 years of income taxes to verified US citizens is probably viewed as inflationary, and maybe the math geniuses says there is only enough blood in the turnip to meet guaranteed obligations like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, pensions, and current valid contracts.
I would just point out that putting those funds back in the hands of responsible tax paying citizens is likely to
a) stimulate the economy and thus provide an inflationary impulse to counter what will happen through the deflationary crash of real property values driven by price discovery for commercial and residential real estate as millions of illegals leave and the proceeds of money laundering is seized; and
b) give the hardest working, most productive little guys the necessary capital to start small businesses again and revivify Main Street.
It’s just good business strategy.

I think what you’re asking is whether a judicial officer has jurisdiction.
Standing involves whether a litigant has the legally recognized right to file a grievance and seek a remedy. Here, a TRO was sought and granted. If the judge was honest, he would have outright rejected it as the states attorneys general have questionable standing.
Any federal district court judge may hear a matter where their venue is appropriate (which means jurisdiction). My career was in the state judicial system (California) – I never practiced in the federal system. Maybe a federal practitioner can weigh in. What I do understand is that these states attorneys general specifically chose this particular judge, knowing what the outcome was obviously going to be. It would seem that the federal district court having jurisdiction over DC would have been the appropriate filing venue – not NY. It’ll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

This plays right into the current corrupt “FEDERAL FUNDING CYCLE” … creates new lines and budgets while leaving ALL the old Budget Lines (with reprogramming authorizations) in place, to move money to NGO’s, Projects of the Day, where ever xxx and back into Congressional Pockets … today and after 2028.
The Cycle = Omnibus Bill Passed & Signed – Reprogramming & Shortfalls – CR’s – Debt Ceiling Increase … Repeat
Anything short of a total Federal Spending reconciliation as part of a deliberate Regular Order Budget Process needs to be refused.
The President can beat Congress at their own game by using the already approved BILLS and CR’s, with the spending Bills’ approved reprogramming authority, to find enough funds to get started until 1 October 2025, when FY 2026 begins.
Nobody is off the hook in these scandals.

I’ve never been quite able to understand how we can have nuclear powered submarines and warships seemingly powered by “small reactors” on board but every nuclear power plant Is the size of a small skyline. Like can’t we use literally the same naval reactors and build a thousand of them across the grid?

So having now read the entire complaint from yesterday (which managed to get read, processed by a judge, and a TRO issued in less than 24 hours), ex-parte no less, and totaling 60 pages of pleading I have to say that this is one of the biggest steaming loads of bull**** I’ve ever seen — and I’ve seen some big ones.
I deleted a couple of tweets because from the Internet it appeared the complaint relied on the principle of Parens Patrie which was an instant smack-down with a long history and current history as recent as 2023 with student loans. That was incorrect, thus so were the conclusions.

I am in shock and awe of the revelations announced by team Musk. We all know there was rampant corruption, complacency, incompetence, and outright theft, but I never expected this much.
It is just getting started too. Yet to come are many agencies that have no qualms about throwing our money out the window of a speeding car. Wait till the EPA gets the microscope up the back door and USDA SNAP program and feeding our futures fraud like in MN get doctor Musk’s bright lights.
The biggest takeaway from just 3 weeks is my recollection that “government has nothing it can cut” narratives shoved in our faces and claims that cutting an increase in spending would doom our country, starve millions, and kill babies. At a minimum we should see a freeze of the federal budget immediately.
And, I have to say yes, it will kill the baby leftist snowflakes and starve the democrat machine! If this goes the way I hope, all the money laundering, taxpayer fraud, and illegal funding scams of the democrat party will be stopped. Without that, the party will die. Good riddance. They have been anti American since they started the civil war and they will never change.

Post WWII, Belgian refugees could emigrate to the United States if an American family agreed to sponsor them. My Mom and Dad sponsored an entire family. They offered because my mother spoke fluent Flemish and my father had seen the ruins of Western Europe up close and personal.

A federal judge rejected a motion on Friday seeking to prevent the Labor Department from giving the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to its sensitive information systems.
U.S. District Judge John Bates stated that while the court harbors concerns about DOGE’s alleged conduct to access the data, the plaintiffs have not demonstrated legal standing to pursue the lawsuit.
“This data includes the medical and financial records of millions of Americans. But on the current record, plaintiffs have failed to establish standing,” Bates stated in his nine-page ruling.
The motion, filed by a coalition of labor unions on Feb. 5, alleged that DOGE, an advisory committee led by tech billionaire Elon Musk, lacked the statutory authority to access confidential systems.
The plaintiffs include the AFL-CIO, the Service Employees International Union, and the Economic Policy Institute, a think tank based in Washington.

Until reading through this Budget, I had NO idea how extensive the Dept. of Labor is and how many citizens receive assistance. What is impressive is how each item in the budget is broken down, line by line. If DOGE intends to cut funds, they’ll have a tough time deciding, because the budget has sections for Native Americans, migrant workers, youth recently released from incarceration, and those who got laid off, just to name a few.
Point being, DOGE may have to deal with cutting benefits for entire groups of people. I would anticipate class action suits for discrimination. Perhaps the only way to avoid the latter is cutting an equal % of funds from each category?
I should add I do not advocate cutting at all. Insufficient knowledge to make such a judgment.
