I work at the VA. They also added lots of middle management during the pandemic and when the money ran out they put hiring freeze on the lower level jobs. You know, the ones who actually do the work? We’ve been really short staffed for over two years and it takes forever to get new people hired.
For me the VA is a mission, I come from a long line of veterans going back to WWI. My dad did 2 tours in Vietnam. My grandfather was MIA, presumed KIA, in WWII.
I didn’t take the buyout. I’ll be the last one here turning out the lights if it comes to that. In the meantime I’ll keep serving our veterans to the best of my ability.

Anyone with a Security Ckearance knows that access to classified information requires both a clearance AND a Need to Know. Biden clearly lacks the latter. In addition, retaining a clearance requires a need, as part of your duties, to access that data. If that need cannot be established, your clearance will be removed.
