I just had a friend send me a petition from Catholic Relief Services begging government to “resume the foreign assistance programs” to 3rd world countries who can’t feed themselves. (https://support.crs.org/act/foreign-aid-operations?ms=mamcrs2025app00her01)
I told my friend I wouldn’t sign. Christians can send their missions or relief services, but it shouldn’t be sponsored by government. The petition didn’t make it clear if CRS was asking for money or rules changes/permissions. I assumed by the timing, CRS wanted the money spigot turned back on.
However Sundance linked to this site today to research how much usaid NGOs are getting and catholic relief services did not show up in it. Am I using the site wrong?

It occurs to me that USAID works a bit like the fraudulent “book deal” industry. Certain people get book deals to write tell-all fabrications. Then they go on a book tour and “millions” of books get sold. But nobody has these books on their shelf at home. A 3rd party buys the books as a means to launder money to the book’s author to dish dirt on their enemies.
In a similar way, the government buys “subscriptions” to media outlets. Those subscriptions are like the phantom books; a thing you buy but never really posses or use except as a means to launder money to your friends.

As someone on here already suggested. These USAID slush fund grants may have been used as verifiable sources of “income” to allow NGO’s to receive large bank loans. The sudden interruption of such “income” could quickly leave banks with huge uncollectible loans.
Depending upon the size and scope of these now worthless “loans,” participating banks could quickly become insolvent.
This could be a giant iceberg directly ahead of the U.S.S. America.

According to the USAID exit memo from January, 2025 that I link below, USAID gave Ukraine $35 BILLION in development assistance. Part of it was used to help Ukraine access frozen Russian assets (stealing). By the way, this $35 billion from USAID – I don’t think that this was part of Congress’ allocations directly to Ukraine. There is no telling how much the Biden administration squandered away of tax payer money and fiat money-printing to Ukraine through other sources about which we haven’t yet uncovered.
Pretty sure the folks uprooted from Hurricane Helene and the California fire could benefit from some of that $35 billion right about now.
