The Constitution gives the President full power in times of extraordinary circumstance to recess both Houses, regardless of whether either or both Houses want to recess or not.
It is an Executive power enumerated to the President, yet has never once been used in the existence of our Republic, neither before, during, nor after the Civil War.
It is part of the Checks and Balances designed to keep the Legislative Branch from trampling over the Executive Branch.
Pulling that trigger, though, carries with it a precedent that subsequent Presidents can also recess the Congress in total, for lesser reasons than PTrump would today.
I’ll have to take the time to review the pertinent parts of the Constitution, but my memory, faulty as it has become, seems to remember that the President can indeed call Congress into session, but not sure he can make it adjourn out of session.

Not true. If there is a disagreement between the House and Senate as to the timing of a recess, the President can recess both houses for as long as he likes. Article II Section 3. So if Thune won’t play ball on recess appointments, he and Johnson can force the issue. I think that’s one of the main reasons Trump has tried to develop such a close alliance with Johnson.

This certainly doesn’t compare to the above tragic posts. I have posted before that my adult children and I took the vaccine to appease my late husband. We all should have been stronger and just said NO. I knew better but now feel like a ticking time bomb. My daughter almost lost her baby in 2023 when her water broke at 21 weeks. Thank God our baby is now healthy. Did the vaccine cause that..we can never be certain but I will always believe it did.
Both of my kids got Covid one week after getting their vaccines, they were sick for weeks. They lived in different places.
Tragic.
Hundreds of thousands dutifully stood in line, believing the narratives, thinking they were doing the right thing. It truly has been a crime against humanity.

My wife went to work part-time for a pediatrician once she got her PA license waiting for her hospital credentialing process to complete so she could start working in the ER. That was the best move ever. He taught her his vaccine schedule (early 2010’s): no more than 2 at a time. He said the newborn/infant’s immune system can’t handle more than 2 vaccines.
We had our son a few years later and followed that schedule, he’s very normal with no ADHD issues like a lot in his age group.
We both reject the C19 vaccine. Her surgeon she worked for got it because he was afraid they’d take away his ability to do surgery. She’s seen many people with orthopedic issues that started after the vax and almost 100% regret getting it.
I would recommend staying away from any new vaccine. Vaccines should be for diseases not illnesses.
A flu vaccine is stupid. It changes every year. When still in the fire department I went on several 9-1-1 calls where people were very ill immediately post-flu shot.

I am finding this interesting, given what I know about the mental health industry and the sad failures that abound while they take money, massive amounts of money, in the form of “co pays”. It has been my experience, that the system was revamped in the early 90’s and seemed to be geared to just creating a revolving door where nothing got accomplished except for new prescriptions and follow up appointments.

She was speaking up for the people who are on SSRI’s. Okay, fair enough, but the problem that exists is that there is a terribly high percentage of young people and people in general who can’t get through their lives without drugs. It shouldn’t be that way. There is a whole host of things that are terribly UNhealthy for people. RFK JR supports SCIENCE and “radical transparency”.

Have been watching the last hour or so of the hearing. It seems obvious to me that the Dims know that what they are saying is transparently dishonest, but that they don’t care in the least. They behave as actors being paid to spit out their lines in a certain amount of time. Nothing more, nothing less. Giving a performance in order to collect a paycheck. And clearly they are not writing their own lines.

I’ve had a good supply of both on hand since the early days of the faux plague.

RFK Jr. is admittedly supported by some people who take a much harsher view of several industries and products, which is much more a suspicion than a matter of proof. He is in a good position to understand how regulatory capture operates.
The nomination of RFK Jr. to head HHS is an opportunity to revitalize an abused agency and put it on the path to a happy, professional combination of competence and transparency.
He still might be a bit of a nut. Let’s be honest here — to be on a crusade as he clearly is clearly requires something “uncommon” in the heart and mind. Whatever it is, we need it.

The bigger issue these confirmation hearings and legislative proposals highlight is how close the Republican majorities are in the Senate and the House.
The Democrats stole multiple Senate seats and House seats in the 2024 election, which is where they concentrated their nefarious activities because they knew too much attention would be placed on the Presidential election. The most glaring examples are the 4 Senate seats that were stolen in the critical swing states all won by Trump, and at least 5 House seats in red Orange County, CA that all seemingly voted Democrat.
Trump talks constantly about election fraud. Now me must do something about it and turn those stolen House / Senate seats back to red. Investigate, expose, litigate, and mount new elections in those stolen districts. His entire Presidency and the American People’s agenda rests in the hands of a few wayward RINOs.
Trump must create greater Republican majorities in the House and Senate and he cannot wait until the 2026 election to do it. Expose and fix the election fraud perpetrated in the 2024 congressional elections now!

Despite his other issues, Kennedy is critically needed in this position. I read his book, and he is fully cognizant of the entire Covid scheme. Which remains the most vile and malignant globalist plan to implement their new world order.
My wife was forced by her work (national firm) to get the damned jab. I luckily was in position to refuse.
The next day a big lymph node lump appeared near her shoulder. Immediately going to a doctor he just stared blankly and had absolutely no answer. A month later she had a heart attack. Thankfully it wasn’t major and she recovered. But will never be the same with a lifetime of medications and monitoring ahead.
