Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

Some contributing factors. Homeowners want quality work but usually pick the low bidder. For example, do want a new roof for $20k (with illegals) or the same roof for $30k (without illegals)? Also, I believe we need to end government-backed loans for college. Imagine sitting across the desk trying to convince a banker to loan you money for your East asian lesbian poetry degree? Can’t imagine banks would forgive students who defaulted. Also, Turning Point, Mike Rowe and others are making blue-collar work sexy again. We need more of that and Trump would be the right messenger. Dirty hands … clean money.
I don’t know if my area is unique, but here in Silicon Valley every contractor and roofer, every gardening and tree cutting service, and every restaurant is staffed with Mexicans. No way to know if they are illegals, but I will say that they are very hard working people and they do good work. Maybe because they are happy to get steady work, who knows. So I seriously doubt that 99% of illegals are collecting welfare.
That being said, I do fully support expelling illegals, there’s just no way we can take in the entire world and employ them (or not), give them health care, educate them, etc.

Exactly when and how did judges get the right to challenge political actions? Somehow I’ve lived under the assumption that a judge had a court room and simply judges trials that come before him/her. Be it civil, state, or federal. Not supreme. Please explain to me if you will how and when they stopped being more than judges.
Judges “simply did it.” Little by little, decision by decision. The shortest-by-far Article in the Constitution is the one which defines the Judiciary, and it really doesn’t say what their powers are or are not.

The U.S. Navy has instructed service members to avoid using the Chinese AI platform DeepSeek, citing “potential security and ethical concerns,” according to CNBC. An email sent to “shipmates” in recent days, confirmed by CNBC on Tuesday, referenced the Navy’s AI policy and emphasized the importance of refraining from using DeepSeek. The memo warned service members against using the platform “for any work-related tasks or personal use” and instructed them to “avoid downloading, installing, or using the DeepSeek model in any capacity.”
